Each December I host a (SFW) Holiday Stream. How it works is you nominate someone you feel could use a little holiday cheer this year (AKA free art!). After much delay, finally get to open again! HOPEFULLY LIFE/DEATH doesn't delay any further openings! ^^;
I also hoped to move off of Google forms in an attempt to de-googlify, but some issues came up, so that'll have to be next time...

Some notes about this opening:
- Taking 20-25 slots.
- Not first come, first served.* I will choose.
- If you would like this image completed for Christmas, please specify that in the notes at the end. These will be extremely limited though.
- No Experimental/Artist Choice this time around. You'll have to have some kind of idea!
- I'm still not a huge fan of drawing cities, so those will also be very limited.
- I'm not taking any commissions for comics, ref sheets, stickers, or emotes (that's why they're not listed anywhere!)
- You can submit as many forms as you like. Just be sure to mention if you'd like one of those ideas or multiple.

And things were going so well too...

So, at the start of this comm opening in March, I was honestly super productive. Maybe the most productive I've ever been. Nearly all sketches for the full color stuff done. Most were even on to flat colors.
And then on my return from LVFC, I find out my father is in ICU following a cardiac arrest.
So, I was in and out of the hospital visiting/helping most of April. He passed away May 20th and his funeral was a week later. He was only 58.
I've more or less gone over a lot of the details of everything in my Twitch or Picarto streams where most of my commissioners were present at, but figure I should say something here as well. I had kinda been putting it off. All that's left to do is clear out his apartment still. It'll be rough.

The comm queue is nearly done. All that's left are a few sketches (preliminary versions all done and will be sent out for approval) and some paintings. I was planning on opening this month, but because of the delays, but I'll likely be opening in July instead on my return from Anthrocon.

On some much lighter, better news, I finally went ahead and bought an iPad mini, so I'll be able to draw on the go! This'll enable me to draw while on long transit, or during downtime at cons. The plan is to do PWYW sketches. Going to be doing a lot of practice this week so I can get a good feel for things and configure everything to feel like my home set-up, if possible.

Anyway, thanks for your patience, understanding, and support lately. Hope life has been treating y'all okay. Treasure your loved ones.

I'm opening some slots for March-April-May. It's a bit short notice, so the form will be open until Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, 11:59PM ET. So lots of time to get an idea together and submit.

Man, I hate making these journals.

Anyway, just an update on my health situation which has been significantly impacting commission speed.
When I first got started on the batch, I honestly felt fantastic and completely on top of my game. Felt like things were gonna get done way ahead of schedule. Then, kind of abruptly, I got hit with a wave of fatigue. I figured this was one of my usual flare ups. Except this one seemed to last about 2 and a half weeks or so. A test came back from the doctor that was of some mild concern, so I'm getting more done to see if there are any possible kidney issues. I've been having more problems in addition to the fatigue that are pointing more and more in that direction, so that's fun.
It's likely that this is stemming all from my autoimmune issues since I don't have any other risk factors. Of course, I wasn't actually able to get proper care or diagnosis for that because COVID happened, so I played it safe and stayed home instead of putting myself at risk of going out more than necessary looking for a rheumatologist. Seems I was ironically damned either way. XD
Anyway, I should know more in the coming weeks.
Speaking of COVID, I got my first vaccination and felt perfectly fine with no side effects, so that was a pleasant surprise given my tendency to autoimmune responses. We'll see how the second dose goes...

So yeah, commissions may take a little bit longer, but I'm doing my best and working when I'm able. Thanks for the support and patience.

Unlike the last queue, I favored really easy-going images rather than complexity. Lots of pool toys! Lots of light-hearted fun.

Hey there, folks

Just a quick journal letting folks/commissioners know there'll probably be some delays. Was in a funk for the last week and now a bad autoimmune flare-up, so I've spent all of yesterday and probably gonna spend most of today in bed. Maybe tomorrow too.
Last year was surprisingly good health-wise (aside from being scatter-brained/stressed from the state of the world), but it was bound to hit me sooner or later!
I'm not exactly sure what triggered it, but only thing you can really do with this kind of thing is wait it out and rest.
