Posted 9 years agoPatreon Update: I'm still Alive!
Posted 9 years agoSorry, guys if I've been so absent from Patreon. Actually, I've been absent of everything since December because I really needed some time for myself.
Unfortunately I noticed I lost some supporters on Patreon, which is OK and my fault really. But I'll be more active these days and submit (as I did a couple of hours ago) some new exclusive material that will only be available there.
For every drawing I do and submit here on FA (including commissions), I'll make some add-ons (most of them will be erotic ones, with smaller, tighter, wet, soft nudes or almost transparent clothes [Sorry I wont do any porn or nude]) that will only be avaliable for patrons. That is a thank you for your kindness. ^^
If you are still not a Patreon supporter and would like to be my patron, please visit me there: https://www.patreon.com/BeauGilliam?ty=h
Thanks a lot for being my patrons. HUUUGS!

My New Patreon Page
Posted 10 years agoSalut à tous!
I decided to open a Patreon page to all those who feel like supporting me and my art. Here is my page:
https://www.patreon.com/BeauGilliam?ty=h
On Patreon I'll submit many exclusive stuff for patrons, plus the monthly raffles I'll start for.
Have in mind that you do NOT have to support my art. Do it only if you feel like giving support to my art.
Unfortunately, because of Patreon policy for NSFW art (my art is mostly pretty much sexually suggestive), patrons are not able to give money via PayPal. You will be requested to use your bank account for it.
I know I've been a little absent here on FA, but I've been much more active on Twitter. Here's my page:
https://twitter.com/BeauGilliam
Tomorrow I will repost this journal so more people can see it.
À plus, le gars!

Me revoilà!
Posted 11 years agoHi, guys! =) How are you doing?
Some of you might have noticed that I suddenly disappeared from this place. Actually, it's been more than a year that I haven't submitted any art here. Well, I had a kinda harsh 2013 and I needed to take care of other things, which made me unable to be here with you. I also didn't feel like drawing at all last year because I knew that any attempt would result in bad art and that's not good.
I'll try being more active here, although I might not be as active as I used to. It's just that I've got a bit tired of Fur Affinity. Not tired of you, people, but tired of kemono/furry art. I've been having this urge to draw humans as well and I have this feeling that it's not going to be very well appreciated.
I've been active in my Tumblr page ( www.beau-gilliam.tumblr.com ), that I would ask you to follow. =3 Here I'll only post animal/kemono art, but in my Tumblr page I'll post everything that I do, including kemono. So, feel free to visit me there. =3
I'm already having my ideas for fun group commissions for this year, so maybe you'd like to get ready for them? x3 Hehehehe.
Well, this is it. ^^ Byeee

Beau Gilliam's FREE TAROT READING CARDS! *o*
Posted 12 years agoHello, guys! =) First of all, I'd like to thank you for your kind messages regarding the death of my dear doggie Plucky. Those kind words would my him very happy. ^^ I'm pretty sure he is very happy now with God in heaven. =3
Well, I have just got my Magical Forest Tarot Deck that I bought on The Book Depository. I've been practicing my tarot reading recently and it's been fun. =3 It was when I thought that maybe I could make some tarot reading for some of you and make a special journal with the reading I do for you. What do you think?
Of course, it's important to say that I do NOT believe in the mystical powers of tarot. I don't think that I will magically read your fortune and tell you the exact thing that will happen in your life. I see tarot as an oportunity to analyze our own life, the actions and choices that we have performed in our life. It's not about answers and certainties, but about questioning ourselves and look for answers, because there isn't something like "absolute truth".
So, if you want to have cards read for you, you need to ask something. It needs to be a serious questions about your life, like "Should I quit my job?" or "Should I really date this guy that my parents hate?". I'll also need a brief explanation about why you are asking this question. Like: "I'm asking this question because I work with my mother, but I hate this job, even though woring with her makes her happy". It will help the overall discussion about your question based on the meaning of the cards.
The card spread I'll use is called The Sacred Tree that can be seen here. It deals with five cards that mean:
#1 The Roots: Past
#2 The Trunk: Direction in which things are moving
#3 The Branches: Favorable, positive conditions or what can be developed
#4 The Dead Branches: Obstacles or challenges that need to be eliminated
#5 The Leaves: Final Results, summary of reading
You'll also need to choose 5 numbers from 1 to 78, for example: (1-34-46-60-64). They will be the cards I'll read for you. =)
So, in short, all you'll do is:
1- Ask a question;
2- Explain why you want to find answers to this question, what circumstances made you question yourself about it;
3- Choose five numbers from 1 to 78.
I'll chose only THREE QUESTIONS ONLY, ON PER PERSON among yours. And don't forget: You are completely free to DISAGREE with my reading. It is the oportunity for you to question yourself and analyze what's going on based on the meaning of the cards. Remember that I am still learning and that maybe my reading might not the pristine. x3
I'll be waiting! ^^ Peace!

Rest in Peace my doggie Plucky (1994 - 2013)
Posted 12 years agoOn the morning of last Tuesday (April 23, 2013), my 20-year-old Daschund dog called “Plucky” passed away. He had to be put to his eternal sleep due to the failure of various organs that made it impossible for him to live a normal life, happy and without pain. It was necessary and it was done, being placed first Plucky's welfare at the expense of my sadness and my family’s.
Not only today, but in these last days of his life, I did what many would consider a complete bullshit, that was crying by the impending death of my dear doggie and the painful duty that fell over my hands, which was putting an end to his life. In such a moment, the pain of feeling like an "executioner" of my own dog led me to a very strong pain. But this was the job I had to do. It was my responsibility to be with him until the end, until your heart stopped beating. And that's what I, my brother and my father did.
Plucky was the strongest dog I've ever seen in my life. He was an example of strength, courage and love for all of us. I never saw a living being who loved life as much as my dog, who went through so much pain in this life, but never lost the joy of living and spreading it throughout the house, comforting the hearts of his human owners. Since his childhood, Plucky had a skin problem that caused injuries and bleeding and vets could never figure out what was wrong with him, having us found this problem to be an allergy to chicken, which caused him some scars. In mid-2010, it appeared a hernia located near his anus that moved his bladder and made it impossible for him to defecate and urinate normally. The vets said he could not endure the corrective surgical procedures due to his advanced age at that time (17 years old). However, to the surprise of many, he survived and recovered quickly from surgery. Over the last two years of his life, his bone structure started to degenerate and he had some back pain, not allowing our doggie to walk much. But none of that took him the joy of life and strength to live. Even in his last moments of pain, caused by old age and the weakening of his body, he kept breathing, with his little heart still beating. He was so strong and loved life so much that it was necessary that we took his eternal sleep where there would be no more suffering or pain. We did all we could for him, until the end of his life.
Living with such a great dog, which was for me one of the greatest examples of strength and courage, was marvelous. A big portion of my life has been beside him. When we went to a pet shop to buy a puppy, I was eight years old (I'm 27 now). He was there, asleep, so beautiful. Little did he know the happiness he would give me all these years. His name came from the animated character "Plucky" from the cartoon series “Tiny Toon Adventures”. He was given this name because the green duck was my favorite character during my childhood. These 19 years were very special, as he was beside me in my childhood, adolescence and now adulthood. Plucky is so special for me and my family that crying for him is also a great pleasure, even though he was not a human being, a person. Tears are shed for a little creature that only loved and did good things to me and all of my family. I believe we should weep only for those are worthy, for those who have brought us something good for people's lives.
Readers of this text, don’t misunderstand the lack of exclamation points. While writing what is written here, my heart bled compulsively, tears fell with ease. They are tears of love in a time of grieving as intensely human as the human being’s ability to develop meaning to things and emotional bonds with living beings who are not necessarily of our species. It is possible to judge those who, like me, weep for their pets who are sick or who have already died? As an incomplete human being and fully aware of my limitations and my existential complexities, I believe not, because love is in many cases linked to several physical, mental and spiritual elements. Memories, experiences, bonds, life, meanings of things in the world, all elements are personal, even if the context in which we live in leads us to certain common values and philosophies of life. And that's it, love.
In this time of grief we let life take its time, when the tears dry up and life returns to its normal course, when we accept that the absence of those creatures who made us so happy and now deserve to rest in peace after a long battle called life. I’m sorry if took so long on a text that should just be brief. However, when dealing with the death of a family member (in this case, a dog that was actually a member of my family) it is spiritually necessary for to untangle the wool ball that exists in my heart even to comfort myself, because I am physically and mentally tired after nearly seven long days fighting for Plucky’s welfare.
Despite the grief, I thank God for giving me my super strong doggie that was so burly that, despite his small size, he much was stronger than many Pitbulls and Rottweilers I've seen out there, with his spirit, determination and the love he had for all of us, their owners. Goodbye, Plucky, you will be in my heart forever. I wish those who also lost their furry friends are able to find joy in the memories hot after so many years together.
May joy of living come for the living and eternal peace to those who left us.

Facebook problem (?)
Posted 12 years agoAre my Facebook messages not showing up on the live feed or am I just boring? =(
It seems that people can't see my messages on the live feed or even see the photos I submit there. I contacted the Facebook staff, but they only said they are sorry boohoo about me facing problems and thanked me for letting them know about the problem, neither promising any solutions for it nor explaining what's going on.
Well, I might move to Tumblr, then. I've put some new stuff there, if you guys are curious. ^^

Posted 12 years agoHello, guys!
I would like to apologize for my absence. The thing is that I've been very hard on my Master's thesis. Because of that, I haven't been able to work on any pics or commissions so far. But, well, I'll be done with it soon, so I thought you guys should know that. =3
On the meanwhile, I thought that I could be interacting with you guys a little bit, since my Facebook account is not showing my comments anymore (for an unknown reason). I thought I could answer some questions you guys might have. ^^ You ask and I answer! =3
Who'll be the first?

Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 (COMPILATION)
Posted 12 years agoI did some suggestions for 2013 on my FACEBOOK PAGE and they were kind of a hit! x3 So I decided to share them on Fur Affinity too.
Enjoy! ^^
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #1:
Remember to always be yourself. =3 But be a yourself that is not an asshole. If you believe that's impossible, then don't be yourself. Sometimes it's good not to be yourself if you are an effing self-centered prick.
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #2:
Make your own life easier by being straight to the point with your feelings. For example, if you want to show your friend or mate that you miss them and would like them to spend more time with you, you could tell them that straight, instead of arguing like a bitch or acting like a dick to get some attention. Let's all make our lives easier in 2013. =3
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #3:
Don't try to lose weight only for aesthetical reasons. Do it if you need a hobby or because you ought to improve your body condition for health reasons. You don't need to lose weight to be sexy to someone! Really, I mean it. In this modern, crazy world of bizarre, there are all kinds of fetishes, from ear fetish to nail fetish(one of my fetishes, actually!) and each one of us are surely to fit in one. So, let's take advantage of this weird world and feel sexy to those who appreciate our unique traits. =3
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #4:
Take care of those who love you. Being them family, friends or mates. I've heard this sentence once: "We are not responsible for someone's happiness." Indeed. We are not responsable to make people feel happy because happiness is a state of mind achieved by one's own effort. However, we are responsible for giving love, attention and affection to those who love us. I'm very very sorry to tell you, but, like Exupéry said, you are responsible for those who you have "tamed", I mean, for those who you are close to. You are not someone's reason for happiness, but why not being the reason of a smile? :)
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #5:
Avoid complaining about how everybody in the whole universe, except you, is an effing asshole. Consider the fact that you might also be a "villain" in someone's life. Believe me, there might be someone complaining at what you believe is the best of you. And they might be right or wrong about you depending on the circunstances. Concentrate your energy on yourself and avoid giving credit to those who annoy you.
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #6:
Understand that the different fields in our lives aren't necessarily supposed to be mixed up. For example, if you are mad at your boss, why does it have to influence the way you treat your friends? I mean, you want to say "Fuck off!" to your boss, not to your friends! The same thing backwards. If you are having a problem with someone you love, don't let it affect your performance at work. What you can do is to let the people who have nothing to do with your issues know how you are feeling, that you are sad or angry about something that happened to you. I believe that the others don't deserve to pay for our state of mind.
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #7:
Stop looking for happiness. Pursuing for happiness makes us even sadder, because it's a common human trait to never feel satisfied. As we usually believe that we are never where happiness is, we could pursue for a more reachable goal. There are many things that could give us joy, like studying more, being more present at your family's house, working at an NGO.. Maybe we need to feel good with ourselves and the rest of the world, but not necessarily look for "happiness" as a fantastic state of euphoria.
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #8:
Do not mistake "becoming strong" and "becoming mature" with "being an ashole" in order to preserve your own well-being. Don't let the problems and hardships make you become a full-fledged anus. They are your chance to become a better person in many aspects, like being more collected, more cautious, caring more about your own feelings or more responsible about your actions and the others. But acting like a dick isn't the answer. Because that would be, actually, a sign that you didn't learn anything at all. Let's really learn with our experiences and let's let grudge behind. =3
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #9:
Do NOT forget to present the Blue Dog at his birthday! The Blue Dog deserves prsents, specially them tummy rubs and éclairs au café. It's in 21st of January, by the way. ;3
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #10:
Dream. Dream about a better future and make plans. Don't be afraid. Dream and then fight for making things happen. Fight the best you can. There is a worse feeling than fear, that is REGRET.
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #11:
If you need, look for help. There are things that we cannot deal with all by ourselves. The weight of some situations may be a burden too heavy for us to carry on our shoulders. In this case, look for your friends and family. If it's too much, look for professional help, like a psychologist. Don't be shy. We need someone to take care of us too. Take care of yourself next year as well. ^^
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #12:
Look for new knowledge, specially things that are not part of your world. A great way to expand your horizons, in my opinion, is learning a new language. Why not studying Portuguese or maybe Chinese? Inserting yourself in a new culture is a great way to understand the differences and respect them. It is also a good way to realize that the idea of reality that we have isn't the only one in the world. Learning the differences make us understand ourselves and the others better. Let's try to expand the limits of our perception next year. ^^
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #13:
Don't maximize your suffering. If you are sad, don't act like you are sad. I'm not telling you to pretend to be happy. Just act normal, like you usually do. Don't do your best to show how terrible you feel to the others. The pain is already too strong for us to increase it. It's human to feel sad, even to lose hope for some time. But showing your miserable condition to the others is humilliating and you don't deserve it. Suffer, cry, be sad, but show your emotions to those who you trust, like your friends, family or psychologist. Respect yourself and act cool in 2013. ^^
Beau Gilliam's Suggestions for 2013 #14:
My last tip for your New Year's eve night is to spend it with those who have helped you living through this year of 2012.
For me, it was a year full of hard working and maturing. I think I've matured myself for the a whole life. But there is still a lot to learn and we learn these things by trying the best we can to make things happen. Of course, bad endings happens and things I hoped for this year didn't come true. But it's like this, isn't it? Trying the best you can even though things don't work out in the end? What matters is the courage we find inside ourselves and the strength to make things happen. Not all people have this strength, but I know that you do. =) I'm very sure to say that I did my best in 2013. If you did your best this year, you were brave. If you haven't yet, you have 2013 to make a difference in your life.
Say good-bye to this year of 2012 and rub the Blue Dog's tummy. =3
See you in 2013.
- Beau Gilliam, the Blue Dog.
P.S.: It's not the end yet. There is still time. Time to make things happen! ^^
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Problems with Photoshop CS3 and MS Paint on Windows 7
Posted 12 years agoUnfortunately, I've been having some problems with Photoshop CS3 and MS Paint on Windows 7.
out
Well, first, the Photoshop issue. The problem is related to my Wacom Bamboo. It's not working properly. I need to press the tip very hard on the tablet's table in order to paint something. And it's lagging a lot. =(
The other problem is with MS Paint. Well..it's not a problem. It's that Windows 7's MS Paint doesn't work anymore with pixels. The special diagonal brush I used to paint doesn't work in pixels anymore, which is sad. =(
If you got any solutions for these problems, could you please help me out? ^^ Thanks in advance! =3

Beau Gilliam interviewing...WHO?
Posted 13 years agoI have a big big urge to know people's perception of reality and themselves. It is the pleasure of discovering their thoughts about themselves, hearing about their views on the world, their reflections and criticism over themselves and the things around them. The meaning and the simbology they give to certain topics. There isn't one reality. There isn't right or wrong. We are all but a spider web, linking fragments of perceptions, memories and beliefs.
If I were to interview someone, what would you ask? What kind of question would make in order to provoke the interviewee? Questions about sex, beliefs, favorite food, abortion?
And which Fur Affinity artist would you like me to interview? I have my ideas, but I want to know your opinions too. ^^
Peace!
