Hello everyone. I recently decided to start being active on my DeviantArt again. I had stopped using it years ago. But, I recently thought about needing to spread my art out to active art spots (No I will not make a Tumblr account) if I want to turn my hobby into a job. It has been rather difficult for me to get hired by anyone near where I live, and even further out. So by doing this I hope to gain more traction and possibly more customers so that I may have a form of income. Even if it's not going to be steady, it's at least something. Anyway, I'm now going to be posting my art out on Twitter, DeviantArt, and here on FA as always. I hope you will enjoy my more SFW content on my Twitter. You may or may not have noticed, I moved half of my gallery to the scraps. I did this because, well most of my art from like...6-7 years ago is rather old by now. And my art has improved since then, not a HUGE improvement but it definitely feels slightly more polished compared to that old art. Not to mention my recent upgrade from screenless tablet to screen tablet as of December last year is now helping the slow improvement process. I don't want to delete the old art from said years ago because it does feel like history to me, at least history in the sense of how far I've come since then.

That's all this journal is about, just wanted to explain why half of my gallery was moved into scraps.

Well, it's my birthday today. 25 years old, and I feel meh. I think as we get older the more we don't want to think about how old we're getting. That's how the people around me feel anyway. Aging is a scary thing to some people, to me, it's something that I forget about. Aging shouldn't keep us from doing the things we want to do in life. We should live our lives to the best of our capabilities, whether we're young or old. No matter how things may look in your environment or in your mind, do the best you can to live your life. Don't let age bother you.


Sorry for getting deep on my birthday, but I don't mind sharing my thoughts from time to time. I hope you all have a good December this year. Oh and yes, I did update my FA Avatar and Banner. That's because I'm coming back for real this time. Look forward to seeing more of my goofy stuff.

It's me birthday today, turning 23 this year. This year has been a complete disaster for everyone. I hope you're all safe from the deadly virus spreading around the world. A Shark Thanksgiving is gonna be late of course, I never get holiday themed comics done on time. Or even finish them for that matter, but I said I'm gonna finish this one damn it

It felt like a disappointing note to end off of. The last direct for Smash Bros and it ends off with two uh three new confirmed characters. But the two official ones in the game right now are an echo fighter and a new pokemon. But there will be DLC so look forward to new fighters in that regard. That new Adventure mode however looks pretty cool, and it's probably the way to unlock the characters for your roster so that's gonna be fun, loved the lyrics in the theme they did for the trailer for the adventure mode. But unfortunately as cool as the adventure mode is, it's not enough to win me over. Overall this last smash bros direct is still disappointing and I know that they can make it up with the DLC. This is all in my opinion though so if you still enjoyed the last direct that's totally fine with me.

Commissions are open everybody! I will be putting in a roster of how many Commissions I can take at a time after this journal but yep they're finally open! Now I'm very new to PayPal so I don't really know how receiving payment works, I've never done something like this before. I was always afraid of using PayPal for specific reasons but in the time of needing money for daily needs I'm doing commissions now. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the coolest thing Nintendo has ever shown off before, spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the trailer yet, they're bringing back every single character in smash bros history to the game! And there is still new fighters to be announced! Ridley is in smash now! He's been requested since Melee I think! I hope you all are excited for the game as much as I am! I was a little disappointed that their direct they showed off was a little thin on game reveals and announcements, 1/3 of the direct was just smash bros but it's like the best smash bros so I guess that's okay. New Yoshi hasn't made an appearance and nothing about Metroid Prime 4 not even a single 3DS game mentioned in the direct at E3 but I think there's still more to come so hopefully we've got more for E3 from Nintendo.

I am working on getting a PayPal account so that I can start doing commissions sometime soon. I will also work on a commissions price sheet so that you all can have a reference of my commission prices and also the quality of the commissions. I hope to get things set up and ready to go soon so that I can get into making some mons for my real world needs like gas and college classes. Okay so this is the last little rant about CalArts I swear, last rant was about two different topics this one's about THE topic that I wanted to focus on at first. So, CalArts. I have no problem with CalArts, the way they teach is the way they teach I'm sure they're a fine university but I'm worried about the future of cartoon animation and cartoons in general that are pointed at children, I know that CN doesn't care for the older majority anymore, they used to care about teenagers but now clearly all of their stuff is aimed at age groups from 12-6 (with the exception of Steven Universe), maybe older too I dunno but seems like they're pointing at younger generations with the fact that their cartoons are not only comedy but also cheap animation and bland art styles. I know that they do this because it saves them a lot of money but I'm worried that soon all cartoons (except Adult ones) are gonna turn out to be the same type of animation and art style, which would be the CalArts style. Now when I first saw the style I thought it was unique and interesting, but as time went on more and more shows came out in the same style and I decided to label the style as bland, boring, and un-creative. I really want there to be more creative and different art styles for these new and upcoming cartoon shows instead of just taking a hard right turn into CalArts style because artists are supposed to be creative and learn to take something simple and make it wonderful, but also kids should be exposed to different art styles that can be creative and inspiring and not just something that they can already draw on their own. Now I know that cartoon animation can't be done with beautiful masterpieces, I'm not asking animators to start animating with something insane I'm just asking them to perhaps take what they've learned from CalArts and make something more out of it other than what they were just taught to do. Look at Spongebob for example, comedy show, but no CalArts style, it can be done. Butch Hartman's style is not CalArts, it can be done. Cartoons can be made without CalArts's boring and bland art style. Maybe I'm just asking too much but hey, I'm just asking for the future animators to try something new rather than go for cheap and bland. Go for something creative and inspiring. And yes I'm a cartoonist but I even have standards when it comes to laziness or creativity, my art style can be seen as lazy or maybe a little creative, you can take it as you will I don't mind if you judge it or not. That's how we artists learn after all we listen to our audience. Personally I'd call my own art style a little lazy since well I only do line work and no backgrounds or even color but I do put out a fully done project once in a while, but also my art style is a mesh of other art styles I have seen over the past few years so yeah, my own art style is lazy.
