here is a new journal to get that old one off the page

Holidays were good and crazy. I got a 'new' car! (new to me, not new in years lul)
I also got some amazing art by Qzurr, and I'm so freaking happy to have something by him ;-; I'm weeping until I have the money to commission him properly.

School is now back for winter quarter. I'm not 100% excited as two days out of the week I'm basically in class from 8am to 8pm with little break in between...My ride class will be taught by the new coach though, so I'm waiting to see how that goes.

Boyfriend should be moving in soon. He just has to wait to hear about the transfer, but it's looking good!
Hoping this quarter will have a bunch of fun furry stuff though! (and that I will be able to attend said fun things)

I was enjoying my vacation back home, Thanksgiving and all....
Friday night a group of punk kids broke into my and the neighbor's house.
Several things were taken, though only one of them was mine (and it was broken anyway).

How terrible do you have to be to break into someone's house and steal shit the day after Thanksgiving? When you're a KID???

I'm feeling very lucky, though, considering what could have happened.

So my mom sent me candy for Halloween and chose 2 day shipping so that it wouldn't melt (hopefully).
She sent it out Thursday, and it should have been here Saturday. Apparently they only count Saturday sometimes.
Sunday of course is a no go.
Monday rolls around, and I have to go to work before it gets here, but my roommate is here to get it so they don't leave it on the porch.
I come home to a note saying they tried to deliver it and needed a signature, so they'd return the next day (today).
Our doorbell is broken, but we have a sign that says "doorbell broken, please knock" and my roommate swears she didn't hear anything.
It's not over an hour past the time they were supposed to attempt second delivery, and still nothing. The tracking doesn't say it's out for delivery either, just that it re-arrived at 6am.
So it's taken more than 4 days to get this 2 day shipment to me.
I just want my candy, and I really want to take a nap (which I can't because no one else is home and I KNOW if I nap, they will come and not wake me and it will start over)
just a stupid little rant to put up a new journal considering the last one was a little old

*hears that in professor's voice*

an old friend of ours has a room in the basement he'll probably be able to stay in, with it's own bathroom and basement-privacy-ness. He may be able to take the fridge from the old house, too.
I say most likely because he's got to talk to our friend's dad (who's house it is) before all of this, but he's a real good guy.

It looks like my boyfriend is going to be homeless.
He told me tonight that he's pretty sure they're not going to be able to re-lease the house they're currently in.
He's going to try to ask around the few friends he has to stay somewhere, but I'm pretty certain he won't find anything seeing as how the FEW friends he has are kind of dicks.
I don't think I can do anything either. I can't leave this house, he can't move in, and I'm hundreds of miles away to really do anything.
and my family is dicks so they're not gonna let him stay with them, not that there's room or that he'd want to...

An official college sophomore!!!
Just finished my last class of the year!
(I'm technically already a sophomore for registration purposes because of my AP credits) BUT NOW IT'S OFFICIAL
I can go to the beach or the movies or nowhere and play video games and sleep in and work and get money
and order commissions and play with my dog and eat all I want and have fun
because it's summer
and it won't end til mid-September!!!

So in this house is me, roommate A, and roommate B.
Me & roommate A get along swell, we're good friends, and we work together. Roommate B is dumber than a box of rocks and we always have to check to see if the doors are locked, lights are off, and she often opens her window when the AC/heat is on or turns it down to 67.
The topic of renewing the lease finally got brought up, so we had to tell her that we didn't want her there anymore. That super awkward conversation happened, and no yelling or crying or ANYTHING happened - just an "okay".
The next week, she tells us that she WILL be renewing the lease and staying in the house...
Now idk about you guys, but if I were in a house with two other people and they told me they didn't want me there, I would fucking leave. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO she's gonna stay for whatever fucking reason, so we are stuck with her even though she's a problem and it's bullshit that we should have to deal with her.
Also, my boyfriend has been looking to move in for quite a while now, and my parents are taking forever to discuss it but there isn't much opposition. Roommate A doesn't mind at all. Roommate B was unsure the last time it was brought up. The landlord's only opposition was that she wanted me to talk with my parents about it first, and that roommate B seemed unsure. If he's allowed to move in, and roommate B says to me or the landlord that she doesn't want him here, I'm going to say right to her face "Well, we don't want YOU here, but you're staying anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter what anyone else wants."

I'm tired of being nice. I'm tired of dealing with her shit. If she does something, I'm gonna call her out on it immediately and bitch at her. No more Ms. Nice Artemis. Shit just got real.
