Rearranging some folders...
General | Posted 6 months agoSince I got extra folders to use as I see fit (after becoming FA+ member, hey, been here long enough may as well throw in my support!), I figure I do a bit of housecleaning.
No, I'm not deleting artwork, but I will actually start breaking stuff down and sorting things better of art I got the most of.
Will also be a bit clearer on what characters originated from where.

If anyone knows any of the artists or their current status that I have labeled as M.I.A., would/could y'all let me know?

I do thank everyone who does take an interest in my characters and all those who I get art from.
Long ago I had thought it would be hard to find people to draw such humanoid anthro characters, but turned out in the end, FA wound up being the right choice for me to stick with (just check one of my journals with the slew of artists I've commissioned through this website!).
Maybe I should do something special...perhaps a free art thingy from a specific artist?
Will be less strings attached, at least.

I may not be in danger of these rules, but darn it, I am seeing how others are reacting to such so far. Some folks saying that they've been hit in the past despite the content passing muster, or that some folks were fine with one moderator, but another yeets em because they viewed otherwise...
I'll make it brief: I don't have anywhere else to go and I don't want people fleeing this site.
This place was the only site I've seen who's even remotely of accepting the kinds of characters I liked and had drawn by a SLEW of folks (as seen in one of my journals, even!). I keep track of loads of artists, revisit most and even constantly discover new ones, but if this site ends up driving people away, where the hell am I supposed to go?
I refuse to use Twitter, and not because of current escapades of the Muskrat, but I'd rather not be forced to go to another platform I had no interest in using in the first place.
I know this place in general has always been 'eh' to 'meh' on humanoid creations with only a few animal features, but darn it, with the amount of commissions I got, it seemed things would be fine for me to stick around, as I've gotten to know quite a few nice folks here, and had seldem any problems.
But really, I'm panicking not due to the rules, but how people are reacting and some even wanting to literally head for the hills.
It's insanely distressing as hell to me to see people run off (and some possibly even without a word) and makes it very hard to look for again.

Male pinup project completion
General | Posted 4 years agoI had gotten with :RatCult13: when they started on this site long ago. Stuck with em ever since the change to their current account, seeing the art they do improve over the years to the current level of quality it is now.
Due to that, I had gotten into my head to tap them for a series of pinups on all my guys, which the artist enjoyed drawing!
And now that crazy project is done, I want to give them my thanks for basically enduring each and ever one of them.

bankage bankage bankage bankageFor a FULL, ENTIRE YEAR, they have been drawing a picture series of an Elf ("Elf a day") with the dedication akin to a machine.
As of this post, tomorrow is the last day.
I've been watching the artist during the more early days of it, so seeing the sheer dedication up until the last has me in a state of both awe AND shock!
Go check them out alright and show your congrats for providing FA with a sexy elf EVERY single day of the year!!!!

Of course, not everyone I kept track on are still active (either on here or in general), just kinda like how life is.
Still, I got a lot more confident in sharing the stuff I got, especially seeing the much more varied amount of art on the site that people are willing to at least look at, and maybe check out the same artists that I've frequently went to.
Been doing a little back-end cleaning. Still maybe some things to spruce up, some files to re-upload to make bigger (mainly all the ref sheets).
For the time being going to stick with the characters I have, though I am already thinking of possibly parting with one or two...don't worry, I'll give it plenty of thought before (or if) I pull the trigger on doing that. And be fair on the price.
Speaking of which, almost at 300 watchers...how strange.
Maybe if I hit that mark, I should... I dunno, throw out a shout and call to action for a really big drawing of some kind with someone's own characters. Who knows?
