Went to the Hospital Last Night
Posted 6 years agoI sleep in my underwear. One morning this past week I woke up in the middle of the night, needed to pee, and was sweat soaked down there, nothing new. But I also noticed a bump on my scrotum, probably a rash. I went to the bathroom, peed, cleaned down there, went back to bed starkers, and got myself bathed down there.
Last couple of nights it was bothering me more, itching and not burning, but slightly painful. Kept my pants open to air it out in hopes of it healing faster. When I did that last night I got my first good look at it. I thought, pimple, but the base was purple and the white part in the center was standing proud, like a small skin tag.
I had this on my shoulder a year or two ago, and it wasn't no skin tag.
Wife drove me to the hospital and confirmed my suspicion, it was a tick.
I had a small tiny little tick on my glorious ball sack.
Ruined an otherwise nice evening. But it's gone now.
When I checked in to the ER (hospital emergency room for those of you in Rio Linda) the nurse who took my info, my blood pressure and blood oxygen, looked down my throat, looked up my address, told me that ticks were the order of the day. Seems they were overwhelmed with tick cases yesterday.
But it's feeling much better now.

Posted 6 years agoPower Restored, Internet FINALLY Restored
Posted 6 years agoSo hey, how about that wind storm last Sunday. Huh?
The TV and internet run through the same modem so when it got knocked out, thankfully we still had the DVR to watch. That was good for about 90 minutes or so and between power winks, until the power went out completely. Now I don't know where you live but in western Pennsylvania, no power and no heat in February isn't fun. I know, I've had fun and that wasn't it.
The generator ran straight on through until Tuesday morning somewhere after 3 AM when the power finally came back on. In the meantime we ran a space heater, then two, in the living room. Hunter Bahamut slept on the couch with his electric blanket, daughter slept bundled up on the couch, #2 son and girlfriend slept in their room but did not take an extension cord with them so I don't know how they kept warm, and I don't wanna know. A couple of months ago I built one of those TV stands with the fake fireplace/electric heater and was amazed how that didn't heat the room much at all. I know it was fighting 21F and lower temps but I expected more.
So the lights and furnace have been on since Tuesday morning and the internet finally came back on this morning. So I'm back, baby!

My original idea was as you see her, in her bra only and crotchroped. Sam (her owner) liked the idea too, though when he first saw it, he thought she was wearing a dress.
I'm going to begin inking soon. Which way would you rather see her?

LOL
Posted 7 years agoMy grandmother has learning how to use social media, Facebook and so on. I was over at her house once and she asked me, "What does 'LOL' mean? People have been putting that in replies on my Facebook page." Well, I didn't want to come out and tell her in came it might have been someone trying to troll her, so I just said, "LOL means 'Lots Of Love'?"
A few months later my Great Aunt Sophie died. And my grandmother made a post of it.
"My dear younger sister Sophie passed away this morning. LOL!"

Things are Better, and Changing
Posted 7 years agoOn the better side, my shoulders are almost back to normal. Seems my left shoulder has been hurting and I haven't been able to get my left arm behind my back to scratch and wash anything since last year. A month or so ago my chiropractor found a shoulder tendon had somehow popped out of its groove. He put it back and through irregular exercising and trying to keep it in motion (work helps with that) I can get it back behind me better now and with a lot less pain and more range of motion.
My right shoulder, I killed that for a week from working out. Note to self: If you haven't been to the gym in over a week, don't push so much weight on the weight machines. Better now, I think I can probably draw again.
On the change side, my regional real estate broker, Northwood Realty Services, recently acquired the national broker Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. We acquired them, but changed OUR name since they have wider brand recognition. Change for the better, probably. Except we had the cooler logo. And you could read our signs and phone numbers easier. New business cards are fugly compared to our old ones. But hey, I apparently wasn't home when BHHS called for my opinion, so we'll see how it goes, right?

I Mean, How Fucking Lazy ARE YOU PEOPLE??
Posted 7 years agoI get you come to accounts like mine to download free furry bondage art so you can masturbate. I get that.
But how much effort is it to leave a mother fucking COMMENT, whether I drew it or someone else?
You're taking away my reasons to post anything here.
Jeez.

Anthrocon 2018, Day Last
Posted 7 years agoAnother night that I lost sleep, only maybe a little less than before. Took the time to shower -- my feet and calves were sore and my butt crack was chafed like crazy even after having the night to recover!
After cleaning out my room and checking out it was back to the Westin® Hotel for the art staff breakfast. Not AS big a breakfast today since I knew I would be having luncheon at the art show, they always bring in two kinds of pizza plus tortilla and house-made potato chips so we don't have to leave the convention center as this IS our busiest day.
And I spent most of it sitting! Not that I had any complaints with that!
Someone, today it was me, monitors the entrance to the mature section of the art show to be sure anyone with a minor's badge doesn't get in. Then, at the appointed hour, that section is emptied and closed, and we begin to shut down the art show, bay by bay, table by table. If you never heard Shiro Tora close out an art show -- same with Acrtic Husky only he hasn't been to the last con nor this one, we miss you Arc -- you really should come to an Anthrocon and witness, he's tall and has a clear brown voice and is fun as hell. The last bay and patron is closed and moved out by noon and the art show is now closed. And we get up to a two hour break to eat and rest up and get our cash for the tills before 2:00 when art pickup begins.
I did find a moment to get to Roz Gibson's table and get my newest commission of Silkenvixen in bondage from her (LOVED it!) and this morning The Gneech came by to deliver my new character badge (NOTE: he draws porn (within reason) now!). More sitting so I could help people check out and I could check out what they bought (so many of these people are SUCH lucky bastards to be able to get want!). All went great until I ran out of tape for my credit card machine and could take cash customers only (not many of those) before I got more and was running normally again. Was well after the con closed before I was done and went to the cash office to report in with my money and credit slips. When I returned tear down was well under way. And I was thinking, only 4 days ago all of this was going up. That's when you realize just how fast time moves by.
Managed to say goodbye to a couple of people. I saw people I only ever get to see once a year, twice if I'm really lucky, and occasionally chat with online during the year. JT and I did get to chat on the phone yesterday but never did meet up, which made me very sad.
Drove up to the Doubletree and picked up Bahamut and said goodbye to his awesome friends from New York.
So ends another year at Anthrocon. Where I feel more at home that when I'm at home with my own family.
Post Con Depression in full swing.

Anthrocon 2018, Day 2
Posted 7 years agoI went to bed late and woke up over 2 hours before the alarm. Happy, ooooohh no. But I still made it to breakfast not only on time, but first before everyone else showed up! In fact my breakfast, same as I had yesterday, held me literally all freakin' day. Good thing too, I was scheduled from opening until 3:30 and was let go to get something to eat. I ate a banana I took from the hotel's fruit basket in their meager breakfast room. Wasn't until around or after 9 PM methinks that I ate my sub from Furnando's while listening to Alkali and his podcast contingent in The Zoo.
Dropped a sheet of Bristol to Roz Gibson for a commission of
silkenvixen she's going to do for me later, caught up with The Gneech -- oh, remember 2 years ago when some assfuck stole or found and never turned in my copy of Killer Bunnies and a set of dice earmarked for my son and his girlfriend for their birthdays? Well, I didn't get that game, but I *did* get Killer Bunnies Journey to Jupiter, paid $20 more for it than for the version I'd bought in '16, and guarded it with my fucking life! As we speak it's here in my room.
Now I have no idea who the rocket scientist was who came up with this idea, but I'd love to rent a car and run him over. The Zoo is a hotel ballroom, bunch of tables and chairs where you can take a break from the con, eat, meet and greet others, play games, draw, whatever. What they did was put sound equipment in and a stage, so now instead of taking a break, you can sit in the near dark and listen to Alkali's podcast or people with no comedy talent doing their own renditions of stand up wearing full face leather masks to be sure you can't understand a word they're saying. Who the hell wants this shit in The Zoo?
After we closed the art show we closed out bidding in the mature section, I counted up the votes for awards for People's Choice and Staff Choice (Tani da Real won both). Tried to meet up with JTigerclaw but no go. Did meet up with Campion and hang out with him for awhile before going to Furnando's for my free sub/chips (Chee-Tos)/drink. Then back to the art show, stopping to chat with SirFox and Gneech some. Gave Gneech a badge commission and talked with him before meeting up with PeterCat and Shiro Tora to take stuff up to the voice auction for the mature gallery. Then straight to my room, loaded a few things into the car, and wrote this before going to bed. I know I"m losing sleep, but what the hell.

Anthrocon 2018, Day 1
Posted 7 years agoHas come and gone!
Breakfast with the art staff then over to the convention center. Went fast too, getting artists checked in and making sure everything got hung properly. A lot of work when it's all going to be coming down in two days!
I picked up my commission from
gnaw of my twin sister
silkenvixen having been home-invaded. Got :maxblackrabbit: paid for some coloring on a bondage pic he did for me that I'll never be able to post. Dropped off a gift art
sirfox did for me last year that he's going to color and discovered The Gneech now does adult art???? He wasn't available but I'm looking into it! And me being the one who got him to draw Tiffany Tiger up twice
After everything closed down at six, I met up with
hunterbahamut and we had a really good dinner. Then I changed clothes and went back to the art show for the artist's reception, pretty much worked all of it. Tried to meet up with
jtigerclaw and Campion, Chubby Josephine and Dexter, but it wasn't to be, sadly. So now I'm in my hotel room naked and heading to bed.
So ends Day 1, Day 2 starts for me in less than six hours!

Anthrocon 2018, Day 0
Posted 7 years agoHad plans to meet with
hunterbahamut for dinner, but things didn't go as planned.
I had stopped coming to Anthrocon on Thursdays in 2008 when I discovered there wasn't a single thing to do. The venue, The David L. Lawrence Convention Center (hereto after referred to as DLCC) is a union shop, the union sets up all of the things that the con staff and volunteers (I was a volunteer in those days) used to do before their move to Pittsburgh. So I would truck in on Fridays. When I finally became a staff member, when I could I would come in on Thursday nights to attend the staff meeting.
Well, now apparently there IS stuff the staff and volunteers can do. But I had to miss out, I didn't gI drove in and parked, went to the art show to help out. By the time I got out pushing 8 PM-ish, I ran into HB with his roommate at the shuttle stop outside, already eaten, on their way back to the hotel.
Fuck me.
So I hit The Zoo for a bit, ran into
roadrodent and we had a good chat until I realized I had missed 16 minutes of the staff meeting! I ran down and couldn't find the room, and pretty much assumed, erroneously or not, that I missed it.
So, back to the room via Primanti Brothers for a sandwich. Shouldn't have eaten it all, but I did. And now I'm ready to turn in. I hate turning in this early, but it's a working day for The Teeming Millions tomorrow and since I stay at a hotel on the outskirts, I have to find my way in through morning rush to meet up for breakfast with the rest of the art show staff.

Less Bushed than I Was
Posted 7 years ago7-days-straight-of-road-tripping. Seven days. Field service work driving over and through 3 states, intermixed with busman's holiday driving to West Virginia to watch ECHL hockey. And three of those days coming home to go right back out and do real estate stuff and losing the deal.
I think I'm over the stress and not ready to fall flat on my face anymore. Last night helped, watched the Wheeling Nailers win their last home game of the season and stayed the night, had a good night's sleep.
Tomorrow the madness begins anew.
I have at least one art trade and a WAY OVERDUE commission to work on along with everything else. Thank you all for your patience.
