Are you going to anthrocon? Would you like a quick badge? I really wanna try to make some new friends (I've fallen a bit out of the furry thing for a while), and I'm going to Anthrocon. I thought maybe I could offer badge requests, but since I'm broke as shit, I thought hey, why not do a doodle for donation type thing? So, badges for donations! I'll be livestreaming in just a minute, but would anyone be interested?

Posted 12 years agoHey guys, I'll be going to Anthrocon this year! I've been on the down low for a while.. I've had jobs for the last year or so that satiated my need to draw so I haven't really needed to draw for myself! I am perfectly fine with this, don't worry!
That aside, even though I've kind of faded out of the fandom, I'm still going to Anthrocon to hang out with people and just have a good time!
Want to find me? I'm a white girl, kinda short, kinda chubby, very short brown hair, black glasses, and will be wearing a badge that says "bowrll diarrhea explosion."
This year I won't be selling any art in the artists alley, nor will I have any art in the art show. HOWEVER, I still want to draw for you guys! I've always said every year that I'd draw in people's sketchbooks for free, but almost no one ever approaches me about it :c
I really really want to doodle for you! I love doing free art, it makes me feel hella good, lol. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean you can nitpick my doodles as if they're commissions. If i"m doodling, it's because I want to, and if I accidentally forget a tiny detail like a character's tattoo or scar, then that's kinda too bad, they're free doodles. Once I start getting told exactly what to do, it's not fun anymore, so please none of that. I do give you permission to edit the drawing if you want to, you can ink it, color it, do whatever you want with it!
I'll try to be in the zoo as much as I can!
Feel free to come up to me and talk to me, but please no touchy-feely unless I know you really well!

Posted 12 years agoI recently lost my job, and then after that, our ETB Kel died...
I have a semi large amount of time on my hands now.. So hopefully that means I can tie up some loose strings that I had fraying over here. Finish some commissions, trades, mail out badges, etc.
And hell, who knows, maybe I'll even start drawing and animating for fun again!

A game I helped create is heading to the app store soon! We had some down time at work, so we decided to crank out an internal game. The great thing about internal games is that you can make them about whatever you want! We decided that for a Christmas themed game, Krampus was the way to go.
It's a rail shooter, and I gotta say it's pretty darn fun. I'm pretty proud of it. A lot of late nights were spent creating this game! And if you download it, you'll get to hear my voice acting debut! I did all the sounds for the monsters :D I did a bunch of other stuff in the game too, of course!
It should be in the app store soon.. In case you were wondering why I've been absent for a while, this is one of the reasons !:P Share it with your friends! It means a lot to me! <3<3

Posted 13 years agoLife has been absolutely insane. I've barely had time to breathe! My job is very rewarding but just sucks time away like nobody's business.
Some updates:
Fared Sandy well, never lost power
Kel is doing much better! She's eaten twice since her vet visits and I think she's gonna make a full recovery.
Thanksgiving was great!
Fell down the stairs last week, bruised myself a lot but didn't break anything
I'm getting a new scaleless texas rat so I can breed her and Hashbrown together to make babies. Will probably name the female "Pancake."
I've barely done any personal art lately, and when I do, it's usually when I'm inebriated, haha.
Dunno if there's much else to report! All my herps are doing fine.. It's just work that's sucking all my time away (not that I'm complaining, I love my job)!

Posted 13 years agoOne of our snakes, Kel.. is quite sick. Took her to the vet today and found out she's super thin and frail.. I had no idea.
I haven't really been that active on FA and that's probably going to stay that way for a while. My life is extremely busy, I'm creating art every day at my job and when I come home sometimes I'm too exhausted, or sometimes I just wanna draw for myself and not upload it, lol.
Anyways, if you wanna keep up with me, follow my tumblr. I mostly just post about my reptiles and reblog things I find funny. Oh, and I call people out when I find them treating their reptiles shittily.

Posted 13 years agoHoly shit, bestcon 2012... I'll try to recap best I can.
~Got in on Thursday, draklerahl and I corralled 
ritts seely kali, fritter, skittle into the room so those of us staying in the room could collect our keys, and headed to the con.. I think? Maybe we ate food? God it's a blur. We drank lots of booze and danced at the dance (omg it was so much fun).
~Friday Seel and I had to wake up early to hang up our art show stuff (I sold a few pieces, thanks guys!). Then I think we bummed around the AA and DD. Got to see Dragonchan and Dusty and Quaggy that morning.. uhh.. god I got to see everyone I wanted to see ALL THE TIME!!!! Sloof, Crisps, Skrimpf, aaaa so many people it's hard to name them all ;~;
~Friday night was insane. Us + dmdragon drank in the room and got pretty drunk, then headed to the dance. I found a tiny precious 
mookcat and he gave me some of his whiskey. Then I kind of got overdrunk and had to be taken home because I was falling over. U~U I did give him 3 kisses before I was incapacitated..! I also kissed Seel and OTHER PEOPLE and I'm just a kissmonster all the time! Mook's whiskey was too strong for me. I got sick and well yeah. Next day I had an insane hangover that wouldn't die.
~Saturday was pretty alright, I had a hangover and I was grumpy, but it was still fun. I found A-MAZING earrings https://p.twimg.com/AvkiKypCIAABTSu.jpg that I just can't get over omfg. I bugged everyone in the DD and AA again, and laughed at all the porn in the art show. OH YEAH there was tons of fucking pony art in the art show that had to be marked NFS because fanart is not allowed. People are fucking stupid, god. At night, we headed over to
fritter and 
onta's room and drank with them. I was trying to go slow because I was still feeling queasy. We headed over to the dance for Renard's set. I was really grumpy because I was totally sober and everyone else was drunk T.T I enjoyed the dance and the music, but sat down through most of it. I got really excited because Renard played Fuck Your Rails, Too, which is like my favorite song ever ever it's so great, it keeps me awake when I drive long distances. After the dance I went to grab Ritts so he wouldn't walk home alone.. and we ran into MOOK!!! he was drawing precious kittens on the back of the board by the zoo.
~Sunday was a fun lazy day UvU Drak and I woke up at NOOOOON. We ambled over to the con. I checked on my artshow stuff and brought Ritts an orange juice. I wandered around and bugged a bunch of artists again.

geodbz was like ME AND AC ARE GONNA DRINK TONIGHT so I was like OK but then the liquor store was closed so I made 
drive to his house to get booze U_U but then THEY DIDN'T END UP DRINKING, ANGER. But that's ok because I sat in a circle with Drak and 
and 
and sometimes 
and Ransom and SMITTY AND DERRY AND MOOK AND A BUNCH OF OTHERS AND IT WAS SO GREAT. Then we just doodled and screamed and had so much fun for hours and hours and hours. And also Seel and I and AC had a bathroom adventure.
~Then Drak and I headed to Protocollie and Tawny's room for more booze (though I didn't drink more) and I doodled dumb things for Tawny and Xy.
~Came home, squished Ritts a bit and watched the last 10 minutes of The Hangover II, and went to bed. OH YEAH I finally got my art trade from a very exhausted Ritts. It's magical.
~This morning was very sad, and I'm missing everyone so much T-T at least Ash is staying for a few days and I have my NYC peeps, but I still miss you guys lots, and can't wait to see you next year!~~~!

Posted 13 years agoI'm on the train so no examples yet, but they'll be cute and chibi, my usual fare. No gimmicks, just all-around cute. Traditional, marker, mounted on patterned paper. AC pickup only. I will not be in the alley this year so these are the only badges i am going to make probably. Theyre worth more than $15 but I'm feeling creative and generous. :P Any takers? Gimme 40 minutes to post up an example but you won't be disappointed :>

purraparru's Boa Constrictor is in need of a home! She lives in a home that has a daycare run out of it. One of the parents complained about ~*Dangerous Constrictors*~ being on the premises, so the state is demanding she be rid of all her boids by Tuesday. The boa is male, sold as 100% Albino in a pair with a 100% het female, but neither came with paperwork so don't bank all your hopes on him proving out. 2 or 3 years old, only a little larger than an adult female ball python. They do grow throughout their lives and he is not at his maximum possible size, so be prepared to have him grow larger. He is a BCI, not a BCC. I do not know if it is het for a particular strain of albino, you would have to ask purraparru. Feeding on frozen thawed, which is a blessing! If you're not aware what the things in this paragraph mean, you're probably not the right home for this kind of snake.
This is a feeding aggressive, moderately large growing constrictor. He also sometimes has a temper, making him tense. 99% of his aggression is food related, and he only tagged someone once. The tagged in question being someone who provoked the snake by poking him in the face when he was giving off clear warning signs, he is a readable snake and experienced handlers would likely have no problem with his edge at all. He needs to go to an EXPERIENCED HOME ONLY with someone who can respect and recognize these moods! They are super easy to deal with if you know what you are doing. I haven't handled the snake myself, but from the sounds of it bin feeding and hook training could very well stop any and all aggression quickly.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR LOCAL LAWS, AS KEEPING THIS SPECIES IS ILLEGAL IN SOME PLACES.
If you have the ability to take on a medium-small boa constrictor on short notice, please consider helping her out! I'm already helping her with a few snakes, but with a pair of burms, an amethystine, a large growing monitor, an iguana, and a boa of my own already in a one room apartment my space is pretty much gone. If you can't help but think you might be able to get the attention of someone who can, please spread the word! It would be a horrible tragedy if this innocent snake was to be taken and euthanized because people simply don't understand them! It doesn't deserve to die because of misinformation! The people who are wanting to take him call them RESTRICTOR snakes for fucks sake!

Posted 13 years agoSOOO I'm not going to sell in the artist's alley this year, but I thought I'd give the art show a shot. What kind of stuff would you like to see from me? Be serious guys, I'm honestly curious. I was thinking about some cute dragons, snakes, lizards... I dunno about mammals. What kind of theme should I go for? Gimme some suggestions!!
