Halloween Picture Ideas Vote
Posted a year agoGreetings, everyone! It's the spooky season, and I've been binging on (mostly Eighties thus far) horror flicks! And of course, I need to draw a Halloween pic or two.
Thing is, I have more good ideas than time, and I can't decide which to do! So obviously, the correct decision is to avoid making a decision and just scam you lot into making the decision for me. Please vote for your top two ideas.
1: Blueberry and Azail wearing sheets as ghosts, but there's a light behind them that illuminates that they're naked underneath.
2: Blueberry as a sexy scarecrow and Azail as a sexy butterfly.
3: Tallula as a sexy witch with exposed cleavage in great need of costume tape to barely keep from a public indecency charge.
4: Vicki and Nova Broomstick take 2: lots of possibilities. Vicki as witch, Nova as her familar again with Vicki racing the broom and Nova holding on for dear life. Or nude Nova sitting on with a broom that is out of order, more comedic version. Or one where Vicki is getting Nova to be the witch.
5: An Avalon Halloween - a collage of on-stage and back-stage scenes from the Avalon Halloween show, much like the Xmas one I did.
*****
Why am I posted this? Well I want to do two of these for the holiday, but I don't know which ones. So I am leaving it up to you all to give your opinions and votes on these, whatever two gets the most, I will do those.
Thank you for any feedback and participation!

Sorry for the Summer Disappearance
Posted a year agoI don't hide I have a lot of personal mental baggage, most of which revolves around chronic, lifelong depression. It is a disorder I have learned to manage, and fairly decently, though various methods and this keeps the irrational depressive feelings and tendencies well under control... For the most part.
Once in a while though, it does overwhelm, this has been considerably less frequent than previous decades, even if the 2020s has devastated me physically health wise. That is what happened this summer, no details are needed because its both private and boring, I will say there was no specific trigger, just a series of small events that sucked the wind out of my mental sails. Back though, so what that is worth, mainly because I am too damned stubborn to give up, also art is something I really honestly enjoy.
First series of pics I will post are all commissions, because despite it all, they are all finished, and actually some time ago, fortunately about everyone got theirs back then through personal channels, but I want to show them publicly as well.
Anyway, hope you are all doing decent, and I am still always here, maybe sometimes down, but never out.

March 3rd 2024 - Commission Lottery Open!
Posted a year agoGreetings!
From today (March 3rd) until March 6th at noon CST, respond here if you would like a general commission. (only one). After Noon (CST), I will update this journal marking the end of commission request period. At that point, I will put all the names into a lottery and pull four of them randomly, and these three will be contacted for details on their requested commissions through the message system. This is the fairest system I can think of so that everyone has an equal chance regardless of who is fortunate enough to be online and looking at FA when I make this announcement, and who is busy doing overtime at work and doesn't see the announcement for a couple of days.
Thank you for your continued support!

Commission Lottery Open!

Why three?
The idea here is to do this in smaller groupings with shorter turn around it, so I am not reducing the amount of commissions I am doing, but working to do rounds of them more frequently. Eventually i would like to refine this to the point I can do this monthly, that is the goal.
Thank you for your continued support!
Lottery is now closed, winners will be contacted this weekend. Thank you for participating, will have another one in Mid to Late November!

Commissions Opening Again
Posted 2 years ago<Farnsworth> Good news, everybody! </Farnsworth>
I've gotten new hardware and it's all installed, so I'll be able to start drawing again! My backlog of art is mostly gone through, so it's time to make some more!
I'll be opening up for a commission lottery today and keeping it open though the 7th, so everyone who's been looking forward to that - first, thank you very much for your confidence in me, and second, here's your chance for peeps who are interested!

Art Pause Due To Tablet/GPU Issues - Sorry!
Posted 2 years agoMy tablet has fried yet another graphics card. The only thing I can think of is that the tablet has a hardware fault of some sort, spiking power down the line when my computer reboots (it is a crapshoot, not *every* reboot, was fine for a while). I'm getting a new tablet, a new graphics card, and some new connectors, but it won't be here for a week. Sadly, this will put a pause on me finishing off any remaining commissions or accepting new ones until it all arrives.
Definitely will be opening after that as all of this will set me back financially a bit, so hopefully I can recoup costs in a decent time frame, sorry though, the original plan was this week, now it looks like the beginning of October.

The Pattern, Working To Break It & Thank You All!
Posted 2 years agoHello, everyone.
I know it's a pattern. I pop in, I make my apologies, everyone reassures me, I post for a while, then I disappear.
Please take my apologies for this as granted. It is as it is. I am always striving to figure out new ways to get around my issues, and to keep being productive, in the midst of depression, weird sleep schedules, side effects of meds, and all that stuff. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
What I'd rather focus on today is you all. Through all this, you stay here, you keep the watch on me. I know that it's just as easy as a button pressed, but you still care for my work enough to press that button. You care enough about me, as an artist, to read this journal entry and see these words. So I'd like, this time, instead of going on about how sorry I am for yet another absence, to say thank you to all of you who stick with me, and who care. You are what keeps me coming back to try again, and again, and again.

Rainier and Pourier
Posted 3 years agoHello, everyone.
After the last post, I started drawing again. Good, right?
A few weeks ago, I got my fifth COVID shot - the third booster. That hit me hard, and then, in an example of terrible timing, I also came down with something non-COVID but viral that gave me a dreadful cough and sapped all my energy. For the past couple of weeks, I have been doing nothing but sleep for at most 30 minutes, then cough myself awake, and then stare blankly at whatever shiny thing caught my attention for more than five seconds before trying to sleep again. I haven't even had the mental focus to play video games. The cough is the worst, though. Just absolutely constant.
Last week, I coughed so hard I passed out and fell out of my chair. I went to Urgent Care, they did some tests, they sent me home with antibiotics and a prescription cough syrup. I thought I was doing better... until today, when I passed out again and hit my head on the way down.
hijinxfantasy found me within seconds of me falling down, took me to the ER, where they put my through yet more medical tests - EKGs, x-rays, etc. They decided I didn't quite need a CAT-scan, but they were considering it. Finally they sent me home with a result of "Nothing's too badly wrong, no COVID, no pneumonia, no concussion, but we need to do something about that cough" and some instructions for medicine and the like.
I'm afraid you are probably going to be waiting a bit longer. I will answer all those notes and messages when I can. This sucks.

When It Rains It Pours
Posted 3 years agoLast month I was hope I would be back after a 'bout of personal illness.
Then Covid happened.
Both
hijinxfantasy and myself were hit with the coof for August, so we spent a few weeks just sort of being miserable. Given my ongoing issues with illness, I always dreaded this day would come, thank goodness for double vaxxed, double boosted beforehand.
We have both weathered through the illness over these last few weeks and are well on the road to recovery now,
hijinxfantasy still has an occasional mild cough but I am back to my normal self.
Now they have an Omricron booster, will be back out getting that in a week or two, just in case if I ever have to do this all over again.
Sorry for the silence during this, I didn't like to talk about these things in general and I didn't want anyone worried during it.

Just A Friendly Update
Posted 3 years agoGreetings,
Just wanted to give an FYI on me being generally AFK this last month from here. Unfortunately I had another 'bout of severe illness over the month of July, fortunately I have since recovered (I hate being sickly, I really do :( ). I apologize for my general lack of activity during this past month. The plan is to plunge back into commissions Monday and get those finished over these next couple weeks, and open up agin, although want to do some personal art as well as try some of the recent suggestions I got from y'all.
Thanks for your continued support in all ways! Hope you all are doing well!

Commission Slot Openings
Posted 3 years agoGeneral Commissions Slot Opening
Commission Price Information
Greetings,
Well, my last experiment of doing smaller number but more frequent batches worked out well, and I find myself once again at the tail end of my current batch, so for the second time this month I am opening general commissions.
So for new batch, I will start we opening three slots,(based on a lottery). These are open commission slots and thus not themed or tied to anything specific, but open to the characters and themes y'all want. If my plan works, I'll be opening again in the second half of this month (or earlier if these slots don't all fill).
From today (June 25th) until June 28th at noon, respond here if you would like a general commission. (only one). After Noon (CST), I will update this journal marking the end of commission request period. At that point, I will put all the names into a lottery and pull three of them randomly, and these three will be contacted for details on their requested commissions through the message system. This is the fairest system I can think of so that everyone has an equal chance regardless of who is lucky enough to be online and looking at FA when I make this announcement, and who is busy doing overtime at work and doesn't see the announcement for a couple of days.
Also, card commissions are open during this and always open.
Thank you all!
Now for the General Rules:
- Commissions can be rated G through X.
- Characters can be yours (of course), or mine, or from or based on a popular series (Pokemon, MLP, etc), or video game, if another user's or artist's character, you need to get their permission (I will follow up on that).
- General no go rules: No watersports, rape, torture, incest, vore, inflation, or anything similarly hardcore or anything considered illegal. No racism, sexism, LGBT+ discrimination, promoting hate symbols, the usual. If you think your idea is edging along these lines, then it is a bad idea. These will be refused outright.
- I have the right to refuse any commission which has subject matter that I am uncomfortable with. This includes anything that involves my characters that are out of character, or just general scenes with any character I am uncomfortable drawing based on subject matter or design.
Yet Another Technical Problem
Posted 3 years agoWhen it rains, it pours.
This time it is software related. I am hoping someone here has insight to this because I am all out of ideas and searching the Internet has produced nothing helpful/.
So was using Paint Tool Sai and for some reason the dialog box for the Hue & Saturation under the Filter menu is missing (visually). The program acts like the dialog box is there, but the dialog box itself is missing from the screen (I am assuming it is off screen somewhere), I can hit ESC for the Cancel button to escape back to the canvas. I was hoping it was accidentally 'behind' the program, but tabbing through my open windows using Alt+ Tab in Windows does not reveal it. Is there anyway to get this dialog box back? Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Asking for PC Techical Support Help
Posted 3 years agoHey guys, I am in a bit of a pickle. I am decent at PC computers and graphics cards, but I am not expert, and I am at my wit's end, so I am here to appeal to any experts (especially dealing with graphics card issues) for help.
Please allow me to explain:
Currently I have an AMD Raedon RX 5600 XT, which contains three Displayports and on HDMI port. Recently, as some of you know, I purchased an Xp-pen 22r pro tablet for drawing and coloring; I also have two monitors, all are HDMI. The Tablet and one monitor use HDMI to Displayport cables, the other monitor simply plugs into the one HDMI port. Originally the table plugged into what I will call Displayport one and the HDMI to Displayport monitor into Displayport two. One day, after restarting my computer, the tablet wasn't getting a signal, changing the cable didn't work, but changing it from, Displayport one to Displayport three on the physical card did work (as it was up to then, unused), so I accepted that as a solution for the time being. Yesterday I turned off all the tablet and monitors for the night, when I turned them back on, the tablet once again was getting no signal. Reseeding didn't work, but swaping the cable from Displayport 3 to Displayport 2 did, unfortunately moving my HDMI to Displayport monitor cable to either Displayport one or three gets no signal, so now down one monitor.
From what I can tell, two of my Displayports simply no longer work, anything plugged into them simply doesn't register. it is as if my tablet caused two of them to stop working, but I can't see how that would happen. Now I am paranoid the last one my go, which means no tablet, which is required for my job. I have no clue why two of my card's displayports just stopped working and I can find nothing online about this. I tried updating the drivers, but of course, nothing. Tried swapping around cables with the PC both off and on, nothing, tried unplugging the monitor that is getting my signal and plugging back in after 30 seconds, nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Here are my computer's specs:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Processor (6X 3.6GHz/32MB L3 Cache)
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X570-P - ARGB Header (1), USB 3.2 Ports (6 Type-A), M.2 Slot (2)
Memory: 16 GB [8 GB x2] DDR4-3200 Memory Module
Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT - 6GB (VR-Ready)
Power Supply: 600 Watt - Thermaltake Smart Series - 80 PLUS Gold

General Commissions Opening

Commission Price Information
Lottery is now closedGreetings,
Things re going well on my part, after months (even years) of repeated, prolonged crisis, things are looking calm in my life, family is doing alright, personal health has significantly improved, and my eye issues are managed well enough that I am no longer severely hindered, all great stuff!
Right now I am at the very tail end of my current commission queue. So time to open some slots. I have given how to approach this a lot of though, and concluded that smaller batches and more frequent, regular openings is something I wish to try. See, one mental issue I have is if I get a lot of work, I tend to freak out at the totality of it and shut down for an amount of time out of panic, it is a weakness I have, and I have decide to focus on finding solutions to this issue.
So for new batch, I will start we opening three slots,(based on a lottery). These are open commission slots and thus not themed or tied to anything specific, but open to the characters and themes y'all want. If my plan works, I'll be opening again in the second half of this month (or earlier if these slots don't all fill).

It Is A New Dawn! - Art Update
Posted 3 years agoHello, everyone. I'm happy to tell you that there should be a lot of art coming your way soon.
For a long time, I've been having trouble doing art - well, for a variety of reasons. However, the one big one that loomed over it all, adding to the difficulty with negative medical announcements, difficult times, high stress, and the like, is that my eyes are going the way everyone's eyes go as they get older. Not only have I started to need glasses, but I need driving glasses, reading glasses, and even with the reading glasses, my eyes would still start to hurt a great deal after I'd been sitting at the drawing table for a little while.
Obviously, this made it hard to pursue my passion, and for a time, I thought that I was doomed to have to give up what I loved so much. But then a week or so ago I got digital tablet, the sort you can draw directly on. I could not believe the difference. At first I was scared to try it, scared to find it wouldn't help, scared something would go wrong - and then it was wonderful. As I gave it a try and started practicing with the new tool, I drew all day and all night long. Every hour of the day, I was bent over this new tablet drawing like it was nothing. Piece after piece flowed from my stylus, and without my eyes hurting in the process.
I apologize for keeping this condition a secret for so long. It took a while to put together the money for the glasses and everything else to work to solve this. I guess I didn't say anything because admittedly, I am a prideful, stubborn guy who didn't want to be pitied. Or to be seen as helpless, or a charity case. I certainly didn't want people to give up on me if they learned of the eye issues thinking 'welp, that's it from him'. I am sure much of that is my own negative imagination, but it was enough to keep this one medical issue a secret more than the others.
Anyway, I have several sketches from the tablet that I'll be uploading over the next several days, as it was the drawing part that I practiced so much (already know how to ink and color digitally). I won't give up on the old fashioned pencil and paper completely, as I find it special, just probably will save that for physical sketchbooks only, and for stuff that don't require me to draw anything too small, and take it easy so the eyes won't rebel too much.
Once again, that you for your patience and support is these past hard times, things are really starting to look up for me, not only in this, but in other medical and family areas as well, the worst is now all behind me.
Thank you,
-- BBB

Thank you,

March Update - Please Read!
Posted 3 years agoI haven't written a journal in quite sometime, and I realize that I *really* should keep people much more up to date on what is happening, especially in regards to art (after all that is why everyone is here).
This year hasn't been a good one for me so far due to family medical crises, and personal mental problems (mostly involving neurodivergent issues), while things are finally looking back up in these areas, it is a purposely slow comeback as I ease back into getting my art back on track and creating a working regular schedule.
I say ease back because I need to readjust my brain for artwork; I feel forcing myself ahead of time will cause me to resent doing the art and causing the quality to drop, and when it comes to commissions I want to know I can do them to the best of my ability, making them a priority where I can give them my all. I guess what I am saying is that my top (current) priority is mental health and getting my brain back into that creative groove. So there will be at least some personal art trickling back in at first. I hope that makes sense.
As for the commissions I owe, don't worry, they'll be worked on and delivered I can promise that, it may just take some time. I hope you'll stick with me, but if you cannot, I can refund, it be a bummer, but I understand. Once again I thank you for your patience!
Stay safe! Hope you are all doing well!

What Happened To September - Please Read
Posted 4 years agoI apologize that I have basically gone AWOL this month. Due to personal mental health issues (extreme depression) and family physical health issues, I have been away from pretty much everyone and everything online, including my work here.
Normally I wouldn't bother you all with my personal issues like this but I also just opened commissions last month, and I haven't been able to do anything since then. I will be back to posting and working on stuff (and replying) by around the first of October. I know this delayed getting images done by about a month, so for those who commissioned me, if for whatever reason you do not want to wait, please let me know and I'll send back your money and I will totally understand, if you are willing to wait on the other hand, I do very much appreciate it and thank you for your patience.
I'll work to get to all messages and PMs as soon as I can.

General Commissions Opening
Posted 4 years agoGeneral Commissions for September
Commission Price Information
Lottery is now closedAlrighty, for the month of September I am opening five commission slots based on a lottery. These are open commission slots and thus not themed or tied to anything specific, but open to the characters and themes y'all want.
From today (August 24th) until September 1st at noon, respond here if you would like a general commission. (only one). After Noon (CST), I will update this journal marking the end of commission request period. At that point, I will put all the names into a lottery and pull five of them randomly, and these five will be contacted for details on their requested commissions through the message system. This is the fairest system I can think of so that everyone has an equal chance regardless of who is lucky enough to be online and looking at FA when I make this announcement, and who is busy doing overtime at work and doesn't see the announcement for a couple of days. If everything goes well, this will happen again in October.
Down but not Out! - Please Read!
Posted 5 years agoHey, everyone. I want to start posting again, but as usual, I feel I need to explain my absence, I feel you all are at least owed that. I will keep it real brief though, as the details aren't important.
We hardly need reasons to feel stressed, this year. It's been a stressful year. I personally have been particularly susceptible to this stress due to personal mental issues. What got me this time was a combination between events here in Kenosha, continued family medical issues (this time with my father), and several other stressors I won't drone on about, I simply haven't had my mind in the right spot.
I was even thinking about quitting because the stress and depression was wearing me down consistently, but the reassurance and support from
hijinxfantasy keeps me going, and they manage to put everything into perspective giving me to strength to rise about my depression and not give in to despair or give up. After all, the only way to really fail is to stop trying entirely.
I'll get to any and all messages through this weekend. If you need to contact me quickly, you can reach me at: Brianblackberry#9907 on DIscord.
Thank you all for your patience,

Finally Back!
Posted 5 years agoGreetings peeps,
It has been a while, hasn't it? Those who have be following along already know about my sabbatical away from here dealing with my mother's cancer, surgery, and recovery. The original plan was to be back by the start of June, but due to extra medical complications, that was delayed until now. The good news is that mom has pretty much fully recovered. Life is returning to normal, well as normal as it can be for 2020. Although in the near future I plan to move them to an apartment closer to me, so it will be both easier to help them and less disruptive to do when the need arises. For now though, things are back to status quo.
I fully admit that I mentally struggled to get back into the muse these last couple weeks, with everything going on in the world. For a little while, it just felt pointless to focus on something so completely trivial as drawing nude bunnygirls and the like while current events like Covid and police violence unfolded around me. But then I realize that silly as my little doodles are, some people find enjoyment in seeing them as I find enjoyment in drawing them, that we all could use diversions from time to time, and I can't spend all my time worrying about forces beyond my ability to control.
So what is the plan here going forward? Well first, organize my commission list and working on those, while also posting doodles regularly here. For several commissioners I never bothered to give the my Paypal info yet because it seemed moot to do so during my leave of absence as I wouldn't be able to work on anything. So first and foremost, going to message peeps who have commissions if they still want them or wish to cancel/get the money back. Naturally I prefer the former, but business is business and I understand if someone wants to cancel, no hard feelings.
Just happy to be drawing again.
Thanks for all the support!

Life/Art Update!
Posted 5 years agoA week back I posted how I was essentially on sabbatical from this site and art while dealing with a family medical emergency. I figure I should give everyone an update to what is going on.
Mom had her surgery yesterday, it was an all day procedure but it is looking to be a full success. She is in recovery right now but everything is pointing towards all the cancer being completely removed. This is great news!
So if everything goes well, I'll be back posting here and starting on this latest round of commissions next week. If any commissioner who sent money already but doesn't wish to wait, just PM me and I will refund, no hurt feelings or ill-will, I understand this is business. Otherwise thank you all for your patience during this trying time.
On last thing: That you to all who replied to the last post with the well wishes and words of support, thank you, thank you very much, I am touched by your words, I mean it!

Important Art Update - Please Read - Family Crisis
Posted 5 years agoI really hesitated to write this post at all, because I tend to be a very private person and I fully understand people are here for the art, not my personal views and life.
So the short of this is, there has been and will be some slowdown/delay in art (including Daily Doodles in the Scraps folder) for this month due to my mother's cancer and upcoming surgeries to hopefully excise the disease. This is the second bout of cancer for her and more severe than the last one, but if everything goes well, she'll beat this in quick order.
I know I have some recent commissions, although I haven't sent an invoice for those who asked for them yet for this very reason. Some peeps have already sent me their payment via Paypal. All the money is still in the Paypal account, unspent, as per my usual method of not touching the money until the commission is done. Thus if this delay is an issue, and you have an outstanding commission, you can cancel it/get your money back, if you don't wish to wait. I fully understand and there will be no hard feelings. If you wish to wait, thank you very much and I'll keep peeps updated as best I can.
And that's it in a nutshell, thank you all for your patience.

Quickie Pencil Commissions II - Closed
Posted 5 years agoIt's been a day, so I've gone ahead and drew the requests out of a hat. Got five people, who I will be contacting through PM later tonight and letting them know.
I am very grateful that I got such a positive response, far more than I expected. You guys are great fans, and I'm feeling very motivated to finish up this round of commissions and open up a new set when it's done, as well as opening general commissions this month.
Stay safe everyone!
