So Work decided to send me away for a week before FE. Will be in Vaughn Ontario from March 1st until March 6th, then work the 7th 8th and 9th, then on Holidays for FE .

No matter what age you are or how long they have been with you pets easily become family. Yesterday I lost a member of my family due to illness and it was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Making the hard choices and the after care choices really changed my composure from holding it together to an emotional wreck.

I had my cat Lily since 2000. She was a college gift from my sister and Lily been through everything with me. She used to travel with me, attend school with me, she moved up to Kingston and adopted  prplhaze into her life.normally she does not trust people due to abuse in the past, but it made me happy to know she learned to trust and love him like I have.

She was kinda raciest just ask  familliar many times she chased him around the house or blocked him from entering a room, she also had a bit of a temper and drew blood on many unsuspecting people who tried to say hello.

She always wanted things her way. You could be eating dinner or watching tv and she would sit and paw at you until you covered all the green in her food dish. She never liked the bottom showing one bit. She also loved sticking a paw in your mouth when she decided to rest on your chest when laying down.

Recently when her health was declining she slept a lot... And boy did she snore it made me chuckle a little listening to her over the television or conversation. She also started resting her paw on your shoulder when you sat in the big chair she loved sleeping on top of.

Sadly I had to let her go on Feb 4th due to health complications. She will always be watching over us. She passed knowing we loved her and I know she was in no pain at all. Which is better terms for her to depart us on.

I am writing this journal to remember her, to allow me to reflect and smile each time I read the little small things that make her unique and gave her a personality.

FEB FEST!

so... Feb fest Our winter festival falls on BT's Birthday!!!

so on Saturday Feb 7th!! I was thinking of meeting at 5pm downtown Kingston and go ice skating and have fun.
We can watch the Hockey game at 7pm or go explore in the ice maze, or the giant ice slide and have some fun!!
So meet up at the ice rink on on Feb 7th for some winter fun!!

So I see a lot of posts about people trying to be artistic and make a suit to sell, or perhaps sell off older suits to save up for a new one fro ma maker they really adore. I respect that and support them. Something I enjoy at events and meets is seeing the unique creations that people come up with and respect those willing to create a suit or character that represents themselves.

One thing I do not like though is when people make rude comments to those selling the suit making it seem like what they have or created is a piece of crap.

Comments like "I would suggest lowering the price on the (full) suit to about 500 as even really popular fursuit makers sell for about what you are asking for (for a full suit price was 1500.)

or "the way the suit is made in pattern designs and the odd fur lengths makes it a undesirable suit in most cases"

and one that really got to me "You made that... Will pay you $50 to burn it."

Fursuits are a form of art people. People can charge what they like for art. When did the fandom get so low as to pick on other people because they are building on their skills or their characters. And as with all art peoples talent will grow overtime. So stop being pompous and think your better then everyone and let people create art. If you do not like it, fine it's not for you do not go crushing peoples ambitions.

Those still creating that art, or that endured harsh comments do not give up! you have my support 100 times over!

So Furnal Equinox is only a few months away and that means the Masquerade is open for submissions.

My goal is to have fun and connect with people I speak with online, on FA and of course see friends I have not seen in ages. Attend more social events and try not to be awkward and stuff.

So Fort Fright was a lot of fun!

We arrived at 7:30 and met up with the group. We headed in at 8pm to join the events.

Now this is why it is important to call ahead and make sure suiters are permitted to attend such events. When we went to the ticket booth the Ops Director came by and wanted to speak with us. normally people in full costumes are not permitted entry due to them possibly being confused with the actual performers of the event.

I did call ahead and was given approval to attend the event with us in suits but the office never communicated that information down. Luckily after talking with the Ops Director who was really cool he let us in with no issues.

the sets and performers were amazing! they blended in ot the scenes and walls and really made a great experience.

There was even a coffin ride which Kali took part in.

Bored at work so TMI time .

Will be attending the Fort Fright Haunted walk on Thursday the 23rd! Going to be doing a fursuit event and will be awesome..

what is fort Fright? Well the take the old Fort Henry compound and turn it into a Haunted house with animated displays, professional scary people and stuff. Going to be a blast!!

and it is cheap too only 15 bucks for the event!

So was thinking of doing a few new photos and posting them but I done a lot and then thought I never done any photo requests.

There will be a memorial service for Jon AKA Nizzi/Zazin at 8pm on Thursday July 31st at 8pm in the public use area behind St Paul's University in Ottawa Ontario.

This is where Jon used to like to take his dog Cerby for walks every day. If you have pets, you are welcome to bring them as it is a pet friendly zone. The memorial is being held by not any community but by his friends. John was part of so many people in life from photography to animal care, furries, leather, rubber that the only request being made for dress code is for people to wear what makes them happy and makes them feel that they are who they are. This was a principle that Jon cherished. Anyone who wishes to share a few words or simply be there to share and remember, or even just meet the other people who's lives Jon touched in his time with us is welcome to attend.

However, we do ask that people refrain from bringing alcohol or other substances as this is not allowed on the property.

If anyone wishes to come from out of town for the memorial and needs help making travel and lodging arrangements, please feel free to contact Kesslan and he will try to assist you.

Tonight our community lost a great leader and friend.

Zazin also known as Nizzi or John passed away today.

He was a strong role model for a lot of us in the community a good leader and friend.

I am at a loss of words right now..as my emotions are extremely high right now.

Net is restored thank god after lots of yelling to Cogeco. I swear big companies rally do not care for their customers.

So.. Now back to normal life of doing nothing :P

So no internet since Monday. Great.

My neighbour (or so I suspect ) snapped the cable line and today when a technician came to fix the issue, they removed us from the grid completely. cogecohelps sucks. Their tech support told me that we do not matter because we use a third party instead of cogeco directly even though their technician screwed up. Oh and there is nothing they can do except send a tech out at another date.

Screw you cogecohelps you do not help you suck. Customer service sucks no wonder cable is declining and Netflix is on the rise.

Great job on the Edits and Thank you ever so much for those who participated in the acts, who helped out on judging and the Technical team making this a success for it's first year!

So last weekend when  tabberpaw came down we went to the skeleton park art festival and made a big appearance . Local media was filming us, and the director of art fest invited us out this weekend to join in the festivities . So on Saturday I will be heading down to city park to view over 150 artists and mingle with the crowd. Unsure who is all attending with me.

On Sunday it is  prplhaze birthday and to celebrate we are doing a pot luck bbq at lake Ontario park on Sunday 5:00 pm. Fursuiting and birthday fun will commence lol
