Posted 11 years agothank you every who expressed concern and cared for the well being of my family and myself.
My Surgery was fine I had the shattered tooth removed and the infection below did not deteriorate my jaw bone badly. If I would of not elected to get it removed i would in about a years time have to get my jaw fixed as well. I am recovering well relaxing playing a bit of Final Fantasy 10.
prplhaze Dad surgery sadly did not go as planned. They arrived in the hospital on time but when he was sedated for the liver surgery they found an issue with his heart and fear was that he could have a stroke, or possibly die from the liver transplant. They did however operate and fix the heart issue to that is a positive thing. He is now however on the transplant waiting list again and we can get another call at anytime, however he will need time to heal from the Heart surgery.
A big thank you goes out to
~soulwolf~ and 
gryphan for allowing prpl to crash there on such very short notice.

Posted 11 years agoSo prplhaze dad just got the important call. Prpl just rushed out of here to go rush his dad to Toronto 3 hours away to get a liver transplant. I really hope everything goes well.

Posted 11 years agoSo back from my trip to Windsor, Was really nice to see the family again, Was able to meet up with 
rio2 and was sad that KI di not bring BT as I would of loved to get some photos by him.

Posted 11 years agoSo.. Heading back home to Windsor come May 22nd, Going to stop off in Aurora the 22nd and crash the night there then head on to Windsor the 23rd. Going out to explore some old hangouts, visit family and what not. Be returning on the 26th.
I am most likely taking my suit with me as I want to explore downtown's sculpture gardens and such perhaps get a few pictures. I know a couple locals wanted to get together one night so it may be fun.

Small Vacation time
Posted 11 years agoSo after a long year I need to take a few remaining vacation days and decided to go on a trip.
Starting Friday the 4th I will be flying to Vancouver and returning home the 8th.
Going to be visiting and staying with tabberpaw for the days I am there.
Not sure what is all planned but I am really excited to go. Never been out to BC so YAY!

FE-14 - Con through the eyes of a Tiger.
Posted 11 years agoSo I normally do not do this as my memory seems to be failing me a lot as of late but wanted to give a small con report.
I arrived Friday morning at around 9am. Popped over to registration to grab my badge quickly and my radio to make sure everything was set up for Bravo team upon their arrival
I worked security from 9am until 1pm and during my shift I had a lady from the hotel approach me and asked if I could help her with a group photo for a conference going on in Seattle. I was able to round up 6 suiters for the photo and luckily the opening ceremonies just ended and a few more suiters joined the photo shoot. Was really hard trying to find people at first willing to do it.
I helped out as a presenter for the Photography and fursuit performance panel which went over really well and we had a good turnout. Next year think we should add a little more on to the length of the panel and talk about items such as Go pro's and point and shoot camera.
to work on Security from 4 until 6pm where we had our dress rehearsal for the Masquerade.
For those who attended the rehearsal Thank you for putting up with me. I really was not doing well and the stress, nervousness and frustrations all came out and that is really uncharacteristic of me. I got frustrated and angry with many people and honestly forgot what my role in the performance show was. Anyone I did offend or was rude to I apologize and you can note me if you wish to talk about it. All things said and done the rehearsal did go really well and was able to help the performers out with the acts and give a little direction here and there.
After the long day went for dinner at Olio and then sadly back to work on security from 10pm until 2am... Was able to sit with Arcot and run through the acts and performance order. HE was such a big help.
Saturday...
Was back to work early in the morning after eating the breakfast buffet. worked Security checkpoint 2 from 10am until 1pm when I got summoned to the Fursuit games to DJ a bit (So glad everyone liked the Backstreet boys song lol really got the group moving)
After the games I had a little down time and was able to help Flow out with her panel a bit. Flow is really a creative individual and her props panel was really fun.
After the Panel it was Parade time! Dressed up all snazzy like and stood in the photo, then walked the parade route to familiarize the lead security team as to what the course was. Waited outside for the parade to finish and then walked with the parade. One thing I have to admit is that being at the lead as a check point really is fun as I can step out of line and watch the suiters pass by and take in the parade myself.
After the fursuit parade it was my tech rehearsal and set up time for the Masquerade. The show really really went well and I can't thank the participants, my stage crew, the AV crew, my Judges and EVERYONE who attended. WE had at one count 146 people! I know the number was more but 146 watching the show was AWESOME!! I have to admit I really screwed up my act. The Audio for some reason did not start on cue.. unsure if I missed it myself or the audio was just not loud enough for me to hear it. I rushed the first few verses and then after the phone gag.. forgot my lines as I got a bit flustered. But hey! the show went on and I recovered. I was able to get soo much insight on how to improve next year and really can't wait to start working on this project again.
After the Masquerade went to Dinner at Jack Asstors and relaxed. Was back working security at midnight until.. 3am Stupid time change... I did however help out the art show with finalizing the items for the voice auction coming up on sunday. Was really nice working in another department amongst friends.
Sunday was a really short day for me. I really needed to plan my schedules better and really needed to work on seeing people more.
I was on Security duty from 10am until 2pm, Helped out with the Charity Auction as Vanna White :P and also Crashed the Dance Comp trying to bribe the judges with jelly beans. didn't work sadly but I tried. Had a nice lunch at Tuckers with friends and suited for the evening handing out dog tags until I was back on shift at 8pm.
Well was supposed to be on shift at 8pm.. We decided to go for dinner a group of us to Kelseys as they were one of the only people able to take the group of 16 people. We arrived to a nearly empty restaurant and took us 2 and a half hours to eat and leave. They forgot our drinks, delivered appetizers before we even got them. Food was delayed coming out possibly due to the high volume of orders but man I remember why I hated going there the last 2 years. They just are not on point. Food was cold when it came out as well and the mood at the table was really down.
When we returned it was closer to 9:30 and finished the security shift, Packed up all the security gear and drank a few glasses of wine and ended up seeing a few friends at a room party late that night.
Overall I had an amazing con. My roomates ( prplhaze , Soulwolf and Gryphan) were wonderful.
I worked a total of 36 hours of my con out of the 63 hours I was there. Think next year I will trim back some things so I can enjoy the con more and spend time with friends. To those that spent time talking with me, hanging out, even a quick hello and hug in the hall, it was really really great seeing you and next year I am going to make time to spend with people.
That is why Volunteers are really really needed to keep this con going, even 2 hours a day can help a lot. Remember that next year.

Xzion will be hosting the Photography and performance panel for those looking to learn a bit about how to take those unique shots and on top of that Myself, 
flowkitty and 
jack_the_tiger will be discussing how as a suiter to work with the photographer and help create those unique shots.
Also MASQUERADE! whoo hooo! was really nervous at first but everything seems to be in place. I have 7 acts already signed up and who knows if I will get any at the door.
Lot of planning went into this and thanks for all the support.

The return of the Dance Competition and the arrival of the Masquerade.
Still looking for sign ups for both events!

Furnal Equinox 2014 - Masquerade Event SIGN UP SHEET!

The Furnal Equinox Masquerade is an event designed to provide amateur or professional costumers and performance artists a showcase in which to demonstrate and share their talents in front of a live audience. You can Sing, Dance, Do a Skit or a Stand up comedy performance!
And to top it all off! I am hosting the event this year!!! YAY!!
But now the harder part... I will need acts.. Anyone who wants there time to shine in the spotlight! If you have something you wish to do and never had the chance let me know! Know someone who would love this event Let them know! If you want to participate and do not know what to do LET ME KNOW! I have written many skits to do for an event and have no issues letting others perform them..
Spread the word around and! help make this event successful Have any questions NOTE ME HERE ON FA!!

Really am going to miss this con, was one of the first cons I really truly enjoyed... I learned about werewolves, two different types of smarties, how to rock out to ska music and really just had so much fun and met so many people.. I can't explain all the feels from the con and how much fun it was for me to attend.

Posted 12 years agoSo it is that time of year that the snow falls, trees spontaneously grow glowing lights and colourful breakable decorations and this kitty sends out Holiday greeting cards!
last year I sent out around 50 personalized holiday cards to those who wanted them and will be looking to do the same this year.
So anyone interested NOTE me your information!

The Official MFF con report - V 2.0

prplhaze and I left the city at around 7am to head to Aurora and meet up with :icon~Soulwolf~ After arriving at his place and parking the Fiat we got into the limo and got to the airport and checked in. we went through customs with no issues met We met up with a few locals as we all shared the same flight. Arrived at the con and was greeted by 
Dan_raccoon , 
catmonkshiro and 
Kae_kiama wearing innova and hung out in the room for a bit. When I arrived in the room I was surprise to see tabberpaw there and was mostly speechless. I was told by him he was not coming due to work issues and was an amazing surprise. I registered and picked up my badge, then went to pick up some amazing Austrian Chocolate from 
wolf-bold and 
charismatic1983 . Lyosha who was the last of our roommates to arrive showed up and as a game of Cards against Humanity went off, I went for dinner and suited the rest of the night meeting many new faces and many friends the first night.
Friday – Friday we really did not do much. I suited a lot. Went to a few parties and actually just roamed around and had fun. Went to the fursuit Round table meet and greet but left shortly afterwards. Met up with Bc4c crew and socialized. Went for a long walk with Tabber and Lyosha at midnight. I did stay up late and suited most the con, which I did not mind at all. I also was given a beautiful scarf made by
Eoathian and sported some swag glasses given to me by 
SkyRyd3r
Saturday – Woke up and had an amazing Breakfast Buffet! OMG plates of Bacon! YUMMY! And then got ready for the Fursuit parade. Before the parade however I visited
firestormsix to do a quick fix on BT’s whiskers as some were missing and well I looked all derpy and could not balance correctly with missing whiskers. Walked in the parade was like near the back which was not bad. Stuck around for the FFS Photo and during all this I was having slight irritation to my face, After all the shots were done went to the headless lounge to cool off only to find me face really red, burning and a bit swollen. I acquired a few Chemical burns on face from residual fabreeze chemical in the inner fabric of my head. I stopped suiting for most of Saturday until I repaired and washed the inner structure of BT… I also received an amazing gift from Wolf-bold and Darcus. Was a character commission done by 
ifus and OMG she did such an amazing job! I will be scanning it in to the computer soon and posting it on FA. After that hung out with Chewy and had some fun. I also did get a Tag from 
Artie and 
EmptyShadow Thank you Both for them! Was super kind of you.
Sunday I slept in Sunday I was sooooo tired. I had breakfast with Shadow and then went off suiting and did a Photo shoot with Soulwolf. I had an issue with security then as well and was really fed up with the way they were treating us the guests who attend the convention so went to ops to file a formal complaint. I guess I was not the only one that had issues with the security team being rude, aggressive and not friendly at all. After the photo shoot I helped out with the fursuit games and that was fun fun. I have to admit after starting my con trek back in 2002 I played almost every fursuit game each con. It was nice helping out the organizers this year and watching the chaos. After the games I relaxed had dinner and hung out with
icefoxIX and 
kwaku-husky and the roommates and soulwolf and just talked. After pizza I did my rounds and said hi and goodbye to a lot of people and I was so happy to hear the many compliments I got for suiting and just being me and how so many people appreciated that and thanked me for that. It does mean a lot as “just a suiter” as I tend to catagorize myself as. To have someone come up and tell them that you’re an inspiration to them kinda makes me melt inside and makes me a bit embarrassed as well. But Thank you for the sweet kind words ((You know who you are not gonna embarrass you here)) I did a late night photo shoot with Dan Raccoon and Shiro and hung out with 
palmerhusky until I was dead.
Left monday morning and was a sad kitten.
THANK YOU everyone for making MFF a fun con. I hope to see photos posted of me and you all as many people asked for photo ops and can’t wait to see them. Also I really hope you enjoyed the tags for those of you who got them.

Posted 12 years agoA little thank you to those I met at MFF this weekend and the staff and volunteers that made the con run and worked hard this weekend. Yes there was some issues but now they are building blocks for next year. Official con journal will be posted upon my return home.

Posted 12 years agoSo I was gonna do a meme thingy but sldecided a more free form method is better instead of a pre made UN interesting form. Plus I am doing this on my cell phone while on my way to Toronto so even bigger bonus.
I will be arriving Thursday afternoon and will be rooming with some really close friends. I am staying until Monday then flying back to Canuckistan.
At the con expect me to be running around all bouncy happy pribrally with my cameras and stuff. May take in some panels but have not really looked at the list yet.
I will be doing my "Tagged by BT" dog tags here with a limited quantity of 100 again.
Also will be filming a little bit for my music video "fur and foam" at the con as I have a few planned shots I feel I can acquire at the con.
Looking so forward to be seeing so many friends, new and old and honestly just having a blast. If you see me at the con say hi give me a hug.
