Psst... Who wants a VRChat avatar?
Posted 2 years agoFirst of all, sorry for the absence, still need some practice at juggling life and an online presence obviously.
Well, I'm finally getting close to graduating from tinkering around with VR to properly releasing my first public VRChat avatar. Just getting things set up right now, I should hopefully have it up this week.
I'm planning on releasing my Patricia Bunny avatar package on gumroad on a free or pay-what-you-want basis. I don't yet feel comfortable enough with my skills to charge for my work.
But I'd like to upload something that's at least worthy of being paid for even when it's free.
Seeing as I'm hopelessly shy, I haven't really reached out for help when it comes to releasing avatar stuff publicly. Therefore I'm still a bit clueless about exactly what I'll need to do.
As such I'm hoping for some advice on what I might need to add to make it a decent release.
In addition to the unity package containing the avatar and all the other files that go with it, I was also planning on including the following things ,
- The texture files in PSD format (though I actually use Krita, lol)
- A disclaimer that it's for non commercial use and all that legal stuff (I don't want to get in trouble with WB)
- Installation instructions + faq (if I get enough questions coming my way)
If anyone reading this knows if there are any other things I should include with the release, please let me know.
Edit: Oh, also. I have a pre-release version of the avatar that can be cloned in VRChat if you want it early.
