What an awesome con~ -falls over- It was exhausting in such a great way. I met a lot of amazing people and got to suit with some great suiters! Piston made several appearances (naturally) and Rooster made her debut. After looking through some pictures I know the edits I'll need to do to her to have her perfect. c: So don't expect to see her again too soon since she'll be undergoing revisions. Piston, on the other hand, will be getting out every chance he gets! Tried out my new lycra skinsuit for wearing under the bodysuits and it worked like a charm after a couple modifications.

Both guests of honor were amazing. Got my badge from  marymouse and it's my favorite of Piston to date. Nabbed a couple decks of Borogrove from Kory Bing ( niennis better expect a gift in the mail soon >:]) and got to tell her how inspiring and amazing her comic is. Grabbed my Rooster badge from  aerosocks as well and go SO many compliments on it, asdhfaisohf.

Hung out with a ton of amazing people, far too many to name (again). XD Though I'll get to see some repeats in a couple of weeks at FWA! :'D  tristwolf and I basically stalked  pacerfox's panels and tried our best to mess them up. XD Too bad he isn't one to be fazed so easily! Also hit up  okidoki's panel on fursuiting.

There was a cheerleading/dance troop that was also staying at the hotel. On Saturday I managed to get caught downstairs by them in Piston and spent a good 20 minutes having them all run up to me to have pictures taken. Even their overly-muscly dads! XD Only downside: a couple started calling me "Bolt" and it caught on. A sad joke started originally by  jugularjaguar. What jerks! They caught me again Sunday and I got a couple more pics as they were being ushered out the door. I do love when the "mundanes" like Piston and want pictures with him. c: Makes me feel all warm and cuddly that he comes off as that available.

Highlight of the con: There was a little kid (probably... 3?) running around the con who was noooot sure at all about the fursuits. XD Right after the Fursuiting 101 panel I spent about 15 minutes in Piston rolling the tennis ball back and forth with him. By the end of it, he gave me a fistbump. I was so proud to have been able to make him that comfortable. Plus he was adorable as all getout.

Downsides: Ran into a couple creepers but nothing I couldn't shake off. XD The hotel seemed a tad crowded this year, especially some of the panels and games (fursuit charades, for instance).

Tldr; Fantastic con (though admittedly I think we're getting too big for the hotel), fantastic suiters, fantastic people! Can't wait to see some of you at FWA!

The suits are all done though I can't say I'm entirely happy with how Rooster turned out. :c I got a little... too spot-happy with the paint brush and she turned out looking more messy than anything. But! Live and learn, hm? We'll see how she plays and how she's received by the folks she interacts with. She and Roy (and possibly Piston) are getting some last-minute elastic in their bodysuits right now to tighten up some problem areas and make the markings stand out a bit more (especially Roy's butt!star).

I'm so excited for this con. Not only do I get to suit, see my buddies, and pick up my new badges (and hopefully more swag), it marks one year with the love of my life. :'D And we'll celebrate the same way we fell in love: rare burgers and Dr. Pepper at Chili's. Heeeeell yeah!

The fur I needed to replace what I bought for Rooster came in today~ So I'm hard at work replacing the pieces. Unfortunately I'd already thrown away almost all the pieces of the DTD I made of the head. :c I can cut them out from the fur already used, it's just a bit more time-consuming. Her handpaws are sewn and have pads, they just need to be painted and have claws (which I'll do when I paint/sculpt/bake everything else). Look for some updates soon~

The grey fur I've been using for Rooster shaves down too dark. My fault for not ordering a swatch and testing but still... ugh. I've got some new fur on the way for it but it still set me back a few hours of cutting and hand sewing all those pieces. Oh well. I'll work on her hands in the meantime and try out putting pawpads on them.

In other news Roy is almost done. Just some finishing touches on the body and the rest of the feet. Woot! Expect pictures in the next few days of his whole suit. :D

I've got some extra fur lying around ("some" meaning "way too much") and once Roy and Rooster are done I'm guessing I'll have a little bit of extra time on my hands. I'd like to make a few pre-made pieces (tails and hands mostly) but I don't want to make a bunch and then them not sell. :c So. What colors/styles would you guys like to see the most? Canine tails? Feline? Crazy stuff? I have literally a rainbow of fur colors plus plenty of black and white.

On top of that. How much interest would there be on a pre-made partial or head? It'd likely be something very generic (more likely to sell, even though I'd love to do something off-the-wall) like a husky or a general mutt-dog. Would any of you be (seriously) interested in an auction? I know pre-made heads/partials are getting kind of hard to sell, so that's why I'd gauge some interest first.

Terms may change at any time without warning.

Allergies: There are pets that live with me. If you have allergies to either dogs or cats please take this into consideration when ordering from me. Not only can I not keep them completely out of my work space, but I can't control where their dander and fur goes. If your allergy is mild, I'm happy to vacuum both the box and the actual item thoroughly, though I can't guarantee I'll be able to get all the fur and dander off of it.

Payments and Deposits: In order to get started, I need a 30% deposit of the agreed-upon price. Generally I will let you know exactly what the deposit price is, as sometimes I round up or down to the nearest even amount. This price is non-refundable as I require it to purchase supplies and secure your spot in the queue (ie those who pay first will have their suits started first). After that you may make payments on the suit itself at your leisure and comfort, though I will not ship out the final product until you've paid off the price and shipping in full. I accept only PayPal and money orders, though PayPal is the most secure and most preferred method. When you send by PayPal please be sure to mark the payment as “goods” and not “services” or “gift.”

Quotes: Quotes are fully discussed and agreed-upon between myself and the customer. They are only good at the time they are originally quoted and will expire after a month's time due to possible price-changes.

Queue: Who is accepted into the queue is completely up to me as the maker. I have the right to deny making any pieces for any reason including time constraints, materials constraints, other obligations etc. I will not make copyrighted characters on commission. I will try my best to work in the order of payment received and will also do my best to send the commissioner updates when significant progress has been made.

Deadlines: I accept deadlines on a case-by-case basis only. Though this is my job, life has a nasty habit of getting in the way and so I'm not able to meet staunch deadlines 100% of the time. Please understand that the creation and building of fursuits and fursuit parts takes time, as does ordering fur and other materials that are needed. Also remember that there may be other commissions ahead of yours, and that progress does not happen overnight. Deadlines that I do accept and deem “rush jobs” will automatically incur a 50% extra fee, of which I will inform the customer at the time of quoting a price.

Cancellation: I reserve the right to cancel the commission at any stage I deem necessary due to rude, threatening, or unseemly behavior by the customer. The customer will be notified and the balance (excepting the deposit) will be returned. Please keep me up-to-date on your payment schedule. While I am very lenient with a payment plan, I want to be in the know if I won't be getting a payment for some time. You are free to cancel your own commission at any time but be warned once again that the deposit cannot be refunded. Unless fully discussed and agreed-upon, changes cannot be made to the commission after I've bought the materials and begun.

References and Materials: A reference of some kind is required to work on all commissions. If the request is simple enough (single-color with no additives) a simple written reference may be enough. For more complicated characters I require at least a two-turn drawn reference of decent quality.

DTDs and Shoes: A duct tape dummy (DTD) is required for sockpaws and any item with body-coverage (bodysuits, armsleeves, legsleeves, etc). The customer will be told at the time of the quote whether or not a DTD will be needed. I have the right to refuse to take your commission if you cannot supply a DTD and one is required. Anything done without a DTD is not guaranteed to fit or function properly! For paws built on shoes, I require you to send me the shoe with the laces tied at the proper fit so that you can slip them on and off without untying them.

Warranty: All suits and suit parts have a 90-day warranty in which I will do minor repairs from general wear or any defects in the suit itself. You must pay shipping both ways but will not have to pay for the repairs. If I deem that the damage was due to your negligence or unnecessary roughness with the suit I will ask for a small fee to repair it. Please contact me before sending the item to be repaired. For suits with drybrushing/airbrushing you have two free touch-ups. After that I can give you a quote on repainting.

Shipping: Shipping will be through UPS or USPS. All shipping charges are up to the customer and the suit will not be shipped until this and all other payments are completed in full. I do accept orders outside the U.S. but be aware that shipping internationally is very expensive and all customs and duties fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Disclaimer: It is the responsibility of the wearer of the suit to take all necessary health precautions when performing in the suit. Suits and suit parts are worn at the user's own risk. I assume no responsibility for any personal damage or health effects suffered from misuse of my product.

Ahanyway. Gearing my ass up for TFF coming up in February. I've got a ton of shit to get done by then.  tristwolf's bodysuit and feet for Roy G. Biv are well on their way to completion. They're not in tiny pieces anymore. XD I've also got a small sockpaw commission to finish up in the next couple of days. And I'm going to trytrytry to get Rooster completed in time to debut at TFF. I'd really love to have her there as the theme is Beyond Thunderdome and she bears a slight resemblance to Mad Max's dog. XD Slight being that... she's a blue heeler.

Other than that... just chillin like a villain. Commissions and quotes are open so if you are in the market (or know anyone else who is) for a fursuit or parts, send dem emails my way! I can do something as small as handpaws or something as consuming as a fullsuit.

I've also been mulling over the idea of holding a raffle for a materials-cost suit. Meaning you send me the design for a suit (likely a partial) and you only have to pay for the materials to build it. Making it quite a bit cheaper. XD Either that or I'll make a premade partial to sell. Opinions?

I'm back home from MFM. Once again this con just blew me away. It was my first con in 09 and so will always hold a special place in my heart, but I can honestly say it still amazes me despite this. The people are the most amazing group of furs anyone could ever have the privilege to know. This year these folks raised over $15,000 for Tiger Haven; all on an attendance of just under 600. It came out to being about $28 per person donated which quite frankly is mind blowing. Anthrocon with their 4,000+ attendance couldn't even come close to raising this much for their charity. Mephit is truly a wonderful con.

I met so many amazing people that I could never hope to list here. There were a few people that I've met before but was lucky enough to have the chance to further get to know. We are an awesome bunch of suiters, artists, photographers, and rockin' people. The hotel staff was fantastic, and even the family reunion that popped in had nothing but good things to say about us.

Leaving was, as usual, heartbreaking. Almost as heartbreaking as missing some of the people who I've seen before and who I know wanted to come so badly. I missed every one of you guys and I'll drag you by your ears next year if I have to.

I'm already counting down the days until next year. I'm hoping to rope myself into doing a small panel, and I've already agreed to help out officially on staff as part of the security force. After all pit bulls are great guard dogs. ;]

Time to get back into commissions and life, but I want you all to know what a stellar group of furs you really are. You all mean the world to me and I love each and every one of you. I can't wait to see you all again!

That  okidoki isn't going to be able to make MFM. Especially since I'm refurbishing Piston. You should all go bother him with this fact. >:D

So I emailed the lady at Mendel's with my concerns about the fur and included a picture. She was very helpful and immediately sent me another yard of the plush orange.

...Which is just as wrinkled. :| She folded it and packed it into a Priority envelope apparently in the hopes that keeping the fur from moving would keep it from wrinkling. Her theory was not correct. However between the two yards I should have enough to do the commission. I only needed a half yard in the first place.

Now... what to do with a yard and a half of wrinkled plush orange fur...?

So I ordered a yard of fur from mendels.com mostly for experimentation purposes. They have a lot of colors and piles that are hard to find anywhere else.

Well needless to say I'm not exactly happy. :| They packed the fur in the smallest box they could. This in and of itself wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't just sort of shoved it all in there willy nilly. Now nearly every inch of this fur is horribly wrinkled. And it's for a commission. I'm going to send them an email but considering how long it took for the fur to get here in the first place I doubt I'll be getting a replacement.

Seriously the box is like 8x12x5. For a YARD of fur.

Well it didn't work out exactly like I planned but I officially live in Texas now! :D

Flying in there ended up being a massive storm right over Dallas. So we circled for a bit before being redirected to the Oklahoma City airport. There we sat on the tarmac for a while before being told that we were going to be kept at the airport overnight and the next flight would leave out at 8am. I was flying with my dog, so I was immediately worried that they wouldn't fly her due to the temperature highs in Dallas and then Austin.

In comes my knight in shining armor. :] Trist drove all the way from Austin to pick me up from OKC. And so after an 11-hour round-trip drive, I'm home.

Roo and I are settling in fantastically. We've been down to the little park down the road and she already loves swimming in the river. I'm trying to get her and the cat used to each other, but I'm confident they'll be fine after a little bit of time. They're already able to stay in the same room without any growling and hissing! XDD

Next up is finding a job and a vehicle. Wooo!

A couple people asked me at TFF if I made suits, and after thinking on it for a bit I've decided that yes, I will. It'll just be me, so only a couple at a time so I don't get overwhelmed. X3

This was an absolutely amazing con, though. I debuted Piston (who has his own account now  Piston), and I got to meet up with all the peeps that I haven't seen in forever.

The first night I stayed with  jasehusky and  taekwo. You guys rock my socks off for letting me chill with you~ I'm so glad I was able to get there Thursday, and that might not have been possible otherwise. Love you booooth!

But it was when I tagged along to dinner with  tristwolf,  w0lfb0y,  kediil,  harashi, and a whole bunch of other peeps that the con really kicked off for me.

 tristwolf,  w0lfb0y, and  kediil really made this con fantastic for me. Thank you guys so much! I miss you guys like you can't imagine. I stayed attatched at the hip with  tristwolf pretty much the entire time, and I had a total blast. I honestly can't put into words how much fun this weekend was.

Man I swear if I write any more I'll start crying again. XD

If you've watched me and I haven't watched back it's probably because I forgot who you are. XD I'm not so good with names most of the time. Also if you find or have any pictures of Piston, Trist, or Prism I'd be grateful if you'd send them to me~ :D
