Posted 13 years agoHugs to all - got bad news today those of you who are on my friends list might have seen the post but our new kitten Merlin was diagnosed FELV + today and since he has already been in the house for 7 days the risk to Obi is already there so no more kitties for our home luckily obi is vaccinated against it and the virus dies off after 24-48 hours of being out of the kittens body and also disinfectants can kill the virus we can keep Obi's risk low. A rescue here in matthews, nc that we adopted him from told us he had been tested and was negative or they would have euthanized him but oh well I guess they lied. I will be curled up with my fluffy kitty having a nice cry here in a few. I know this has nothing to do with the fur group but beware of rescue groups and have the animal tested by your vet before bringing them into your home even if their records show they are negative. This is a lesson learned at this point I no longer trust the rescue I got the kitten from....I trust their vet even less. My kids are taking the news better than I have. The fact is he could live a decently healthy life if his immune system stays as healthy as it is now. He had just gotten over conjunctivitis when I adopted him and we haven't seen any signs of a new infection yet but it may already be in his lymph nodes seeing as they are slightly swollen but the vet also said it could be due to the prior infection and the inflammation may go away not to mention he has a small knot/maybe hernia in his abdomen that the rescue didn't tell me about either. Lesson learned if I am going to adopt another animal in the future I will stay away from private rescues/one woman rescues which is what this was a woman calling herself a rescue organization. Proper tests were not done and now this beautiful kitty will have the best life he can live until it is his time to go. As my son told me "mommy don't cry we will take care of Merlin until it time for him to go to heaven and be with Seamus." My dog Seamus passed away last year when my kids were 3 years old and they dealt with it rather well they still ask where he is sometimes but then they remember that he is in heaven with PopPop and then they go back to their play. The fact is now learning about this disease and the fact that some organizations are adopting out animals without warning people that already have a cat and as I told this woman I wanted to adopt a kitten to be a companion for my 7month old kitty she still charged me $80 and told me no here are the papers he has been tested and is negative for all infectious viruses/diseases. I have been cuddling and loving on my little merlin since the moment we got home I have cried till I have nothing left and now we are moving on and going to make sure this kitty lives a happy life.

Commission
For your commission to start you'll need to send a certain amount (that we will discuss) of the total cost in advance, THIS IS NECESSARY for your
commission to begin. The deposit must be payed within two weeks of agreement otherwise it will be cancelled. Then you may need to be re-quoted if
still wanting a commission. If you want, I can send you in-progress photos of your suit-commission, this way, you can comment or suggest along
the way for improvements or changes :) Also keep in mind that, once the suit is complete, I will NOT take apart and re-do patterns, so be sure
and clear what you are wishing for when you place your order.
Guarantees
If the fursuit you receive is not working how it should be, provided the client's information was accurate and it was my fault something is
malfunctioning, I will be available to fix the problem (does not apply if the design is wrong), for up to 60 days from the date in which
theclient received the costume via mail, provided client accepts to pay shipping one way.
Restrictions
- I will not make a costume or fursuit of a character with copyrights or trademarks. When placing your order, you acknowledge that you own
copyrights, trademarks or any other distribution/usage rights of your character, and assume responsibility for it.
- You acknowledge and allow for a maximal completion time of 8 months. Most times commissions are finished earlier, but you agree to this, in
order to allow for unexpected circumstances which might delay your commission order.
- If after 8 months I have not completed your commission you are entitled to free shipping of that costume once completed, Or a complete refund
of your commission.
- Please do not ask for price reductions by using lower quality materials.
- I do not use any real animal parts in my works. No real leather, fur, teeth, noses, antlers, etc. All work is made of synthetic materials and
items, in where fur is artificial, and noses, teeth, horns or antlers are made from plastics, fake leather or other materials. No real animal-
parts will be accepted under any circumstance from client to be used as materials.
- My workshop is located at my house and there may be indirect contact with pets, such as ferrets and cats.
- I may use whatever pictures or video footage I take of your commissioned costume to promote my business.
Payment
At the moment, My accepted method of payment is via Paypal. I will only start working on the commission when the deposit of the payment is done
in advance. Please don't send any money before your order is accepted and contract signed!
If client does cancel commission for any reason, the deposit will not be re-funded, as I will have all ready bought the materials and started on
your costume. I then have the right to sell it. Once your costume is finished I expect the rest of the payment and shipping to be paid.
Note: If you provide wrong measurements, and find out at receiving that the suit does not fit you, I will not take it back and re-making it.
