Simple Update: Finally, Employed again
Posted 2 years agoSo good, and hello again, all
Finally, I am employed again at a museum, but not the one I was before the SARS-COVID-2/COVID-19 Pandemic hit our little planet. After COVID stole my last job from me (I was laid off after the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum had to close down like all the others for a long while, of course), I am finally working again. But this time, I got a similar job at a more desirable museum, the American Museum of Natural History. I am so glad to be working at possibly my favorite museum from my childhood.
Peace out, all!!!

Finally Employed; At a Prestigious Museum
Posted 8 years agoHello all,
I have been away because, I was in job training. And I got it!! My job is with the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Right at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Lower Manhattan, NYC. The title of my new position I got is Visitor Services Host. The locale is a nice space to work at and I think I will like working there, and working again in general.
Now you know why I have been away. If you were wondering.
Piece out, all!!

ASTEP & Job Updates
Posted 9 years agoHello there All,
Well I have gotten into an interesting program. It is called ASTEP, Asperger Syndrome Training & Employment Partnership. It is a corporate lecture series and job-searching/hunting training program for people who are diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome (AS) or moderate to higher-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), like me. We go around to scheduled meetings with certain Fortune 1000 companies in my local area (for me it's the Greater New York Area) and hear from their employees through lectures, networking meetups/mingling and mock interviews. Pretty crazy stuff but also very engaging and enlightening! We all gotta get dressed up as well, business attire for both guys and gals: no exceptions. So yeah. It's interesting to be in but wonderful exposure to the business/corporate world as well. That and I also got a job interview tomorrow at an awesome museum here in NYC, the New York City Transit Museum. That's what's goin' on with me at least.
Love and Luck to You, All.

Moved back to NYC!!!
Posted 9 years agoWell it's official. Me, my folks and my dog Ike have moved back to Brooklyn, NY. It is good to be back in NYC. I do believe a better home-life will be here back East, as well as well. I dunno. Better employment opportunities for me as well. To help further a career in working in museums as I have had done recently.
Love and luck to you all.

Late August 2014 Journal: Earthquake Wake-Up Call
Posted 11 years agoThis will be the same as on other sites, but I have to say it. My job is going well, really well in fact. My dog, Ike got a bath, trim and good brushing from some awesome ladies in my town, my sister came out for a week from Syracuse, NY to visit from grad school too. Oh me and my whole family were woken up by an earthquake that hit us. Since we live in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA it's expected. It was an 6.0 on the Richter magnitude scale, occurred at 3:20am 6 km NW of American Canyon, CA. That's like Sonoma county and almost a good 30 to 45 minutes North of the City by the Bay. It was like a good side-to-side shaking, nothing fell down but everything shifted and shook but not violently though. Lasted somewhere in the neighborhood of about... 5-8 seconds? Scared my poor pup but it's okay for now, aftershocks are predicted. It was almost like the Great Quake of 1906, but that occurred at 5:12am back then and lasted much longer. That's what's bad during a quake, the longer the duration the more damage is done. Working in the CAS (California Academy of Sciences) I should know. Still good morin', one an all.
Next Update on Me, for those who wondered - July 2014
Posted 11 years agoWhy hello there, all. Yes I am not dead. No no no, not by a freakin' long-shot. I just have been busy as of late as a finally got a job. YAHOOOOOO!! That's right, this unassumin' 'human in a furry world' got himself a job. I had help gettin' it but it all paid off. It's been keepin' me very, very busy so I've not had a lot of time off to be online. My dog of course, Ike keeps me busy as well but back to my new job; it's workin' as a Guest Experience Service Associate at my local science and natural history museum, the California Academy of Sciences right here in my hometown. Yes I do live and now work in San Francisco, CA. That's all I'll say on that but yes. Recently I've also gotten into the SCP Foundation and the game SCP: Containment Breach. For those who don't know, SCP is an abbreviation for "Secure. Contain. Protect." Check it out if ya want. This is short but I hope but gets the point across. I'm still here, alive and well and maybe I'll see y'all around sometime. Laters.
June 2014 Journal Entry: Updates
Posted 11 years agoWell it seems I've gotten a job. Yes!!! It is at my local museum here in San Francisco/Frisco, CA. The California Academy of Sciences/CAS. I am very very happy right now. To top it off I also passed all my classes for this past semester of college. So I'm doin' well academically and professionally. I hope you are all doin' just as well in every area of you're lives as well.
April/May 2013 Update: Things to get out there
Posted 12 years agoWell I have been gone for a while, all haven't I? And for good reason. The main reason being: MY LAST COMPUTER DIED ON ME!! D: WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
But in all seriousness, yes it did. My last comp was a PC, a Dell like the newer one I have now. Like the last one it's a refurbished model but it's workin' out so far. The previous PC's hard-drive just konked itself out after almost 3 years of use and it served me well. I intend to keep this one for as long as humanly possible (pun intended). I am back and will continue to do what me and you do best, exist. Why not, right? Well school had my attention while I was away and I'm doin' rather well all things considered. My doggy, Ike is 11 months-old not so close to a year and still as crazy as ever. Still he's wonderful and doin' well if you're wonderin'. Heh... I would like to thank each and every one of you who wondered where I was or what happened to little 'ol meh! I hope to be a positive presence in your lives again, now and forever.
And as in the words of the Soldier from Team Fortress 2/TF2: "Ya did good, guys and girls: real good. Each and every one of you deserves a medal!"
Have a good one. PEACE OUT, Y'ALL!!! x3

1st Journal entry ever... whoohoo! A good thing, right? :3
Posted 13 years agoGreetings, everyone who is watching me and who I am watching. For those who don't know me personally (meaning through instant messenging services and I don't use the IRC chat services) you don't have to read this. For those who do know me, you know who you are, I have been AWAL for a long time, I know. This is my first journal so please bear with me. Before Thanksgiving last year my computer had konked out in a way that it wasn't loading the OS at all (I have Winows 7 but the PC I got was refurbished so this was a given to happen, maybe). It happened on November 14th so it was. Soon me and my family adopted a dog for the first time in a long time, though. It's my first dog I've owned and raised so it's a task. He's a cute, small-sized little white puppy, 8 months as of today (we got him on Nov. 27th). He's a Border Collie/Minature American Eskimo dog mix so he's small but looks like a white collie. And no worries for he's been nutured, chip tagged and treated for fleas and has his shots. The Shelter I got him from said he was treated for heartworm which was odd for us to find out about dogs anyway but he's okay and hyper like all puppies are plus his name is, Ike. Then after that was the December Holiday Season, title explains itself. Soon after that passed I had started my new college semester at a good local community college here in Brooklyn, NY. But then I got hit with influenza on Friday, in the first week of school that started for me last Tuesday of the Spring semester. So this weekend has been shitty, a sore-throat that is still bad, as is my blood-shot right eye that tears constantly. All the other sympthoms have followed, and the cold weather with a recent snow fall hasn't been helping me. So yeah all these things; my dog, school, winter, and my illness have been bad on me at least. As I said in the begining of this journal, this is just an update for those who were concenred about me. And I do greatly, sincerenly appreciate the concern. Thank you.
