NSFW Censorship Call to Action. (FURRY SEEMS TO BE NEXT)

So as you guys probably know, Visa/Mastercard and Stripe/Payoneer have been pushing platforms for censorship regarding adult content. This current event is targeting games, but we've seen this before, and we know how this "censor-creep" goes down.
Obviously The Forest of Love is super affected by this. But my experience as a working furry artist for the past 12 years tells me: This particular scenario is THE MOST TROUBLING, and also our BEST CHANCE to stand up to it.
Itch has been updating their Content Policy. The prohibited entry for "bestiality" now says "bestiality and ANIMAL-RELATED." With how vague this is, this could be regarding ALL FURRY ENTIRELY or maybe just feral. We've yet to hear if Furry is specifically being targeted, and the only thing to go off of is Itch's quiet update. But to me, this seems like a PRETTY DAMN GOOD indication what's next on the chopping block.
As someone who's accepted payments for furry art for so fuckin' long - We've ALWAYS been on thin ice. We've never felt 100% "safe" doing business in the fandom because everything seems to have an issue with us somewhere. Patreon changed a lot of this for a while, and slowly, with Itch.io and Steam becoming options, things were looking pretty good. Even when Patreon would start their censorship-creep, things for the adult-content-industry as a whole, still seemed like it was generally being more accepted.
The activists pushing for this change (Collective Shout) have an agenda that goes A LOOOOT further than fringe taboo kinks though. And their wording is so damn vague that it really seems like their end-goal is severe censoring of the entire entertainment industry.
Here's the good news though. Here's why NOW IS PROBABLY OUR BEST FUCKIN CHANCE to do something about this.
If itch just pulled a few fringe games, like Steam, this probably would've been upsetting, but most folks would've carried on.
Since Itch temporarily pulled EVERYTHING, LOOOTS OF FOLKS are upset and catching wind of this. We're talking numbers FAR bigger than JUST furries. Devs, Gamers, Activist, Adult content enthusiasts, we've got influencers covering it on youtube.
Again, with Furry potentially being on the chopping block, IT'S CRUCIAL WE DO SOMETHING NOW.
The fighting consists of contact, and outreach. Share these things so people can see it and help out if they can.
The primary goal is Contacting representatives for those responsible and those who can help, voice your concerns respectfully, and vote/sign for things to show your support.

I also feel like things have been fractured in the furry world these days - I noticed a lot of folks tend to retreat to private circles and stuff. Or am I just projecting xD

Here's what's been on my plate these days.
TFOL!
Vixel and I have been making strides on our game these days! Finally getting more campaign progress in, and solving some bigger system problems that have been plaguing us for a bit. And the future of that game is gonna be NUUUUTS! I've got some crazy ass things planned, and I can't wait till it's all in!
We've been working with an environmental artist for our Act 4+ content, as that will introduce a unique and larger area. Super stoked! This sorta thing will add a whole other level of experience/lore/feel to the game :> Plus of course, raunchy stuff!
Oh, we're on Subscribe Star now. Patreon is still around too
3D Shenanigans!
I've kinda halted on 3D stuff for a bit due to a few reasons...
1) TFOL stuff has been keeping me busy.
2) Patreon has been a lil sketchy with their ban hammer recently.
3) Blender 4.0 broke all of my rigs =(! I could still work in older blenders, but newer smutbase models were in 4.0+ and it was just something I was dreading.
BUT, I've gone ahead and updated all the models :> And I've been messing with a fun Judy Hopps model! She's a lot more vanilla, so my recent 3D shenanigans has her featured. I'll be posting that eventually. Till then, if anyone's interested and hasn't already purchased it, I have a giant mega PWYW collection of 3D Smut here!

The whole project was super enlightening to go through! And the sales have been going great too! I've sold about half of the stock so far. There's about 70 left? Something like that.
I recently got the premium boxes delivered as well, and they came out awesomely! Really slick, well worth the wait and research. Rigid boxes were for-sure the way to go :>
I am thinking about closing the shop for a bit though. Shopify lets you freeze/disable your shop and re-start it whenever! Since sales have slowed and they still charge a monthly fee, figured I might close it down for a bit and reopen later. So consider picking one up soon if you were interested!
Anywho that's about it for me art-wise. I've been doing a lot IRL to be more active and exercise, and general house maintenance stuff. The backyard has gone through a lot of work and is now a pretty awesome place to relax =)
But like I said, it'd be cool to be more present on websites again. So ask me anything! Artist of nearly 18 years, Animation and Furry freelance for about a decade, and game dev for about 5 years. I like being a resource, and I've got a bit of experience, so ask away!

Act 1 Release, and Carrot Month!

We’re days away from releasing Act 1 on Itch.io :> Past few months have been tons of cleaning up and tune ups and prepping for this release. Everything’s lookin’ heckin GEWD, so we’re super excited to finally get this chunk out to share with y’all!
Literally days away, so keep your eyes peeled. Once it’s out, I won’t be shutting up about it, so it’ll be hard to miss!

Aside from that, we’re currently a week into “Carrot Month!”
If y’all recall, it’s a month to FINALLY TACKLE THE THINGS YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OFF. 2 Years ago I decided to take a month off of commissions and go full ham on “game stuff” – and that changed my entire life afterward! I encourage y'all to use this as an excuse to start that special thing you've been wanting to! If you do, please share it here :D
This month I’ll still be dedicating ample time to Act 2 assets and production, but I’ll ALSO be jumping into a couple other things!
• The first and probably the most boring, is Project Management?!
Lmao, Vixel and I’ve been rummaging around with a few apps to track and better communicate our workflows and to-dos! It’s been tricky feeling around in the dark trying to find a good way to have all of this stuff in one place, so I spent the first couple days of this month looking into how other folks handle documenting, tracking, and mapping out production of larger projects. Found some good info, and hopefully we’ll be able to incorporate it all into a shareable live tasklist so y’all can see what we’re focusing on at any point in time :>
• Second – (and most cool) is 3D!
I’ve been jumping into blender pretty hardcore the past few days! I’ve been messing with hard surface modeling and getting some low-poly things “ghetto rigged” to start animating! I’ll post a test soon so y’all can see the shenanigans xD! I’d like to get a creature fully rigged and animate some loop thing this month. Makin’ good progress! Blender is A LOT easier to pick up than I thought it was gonna be xD I was pushing this off for literally years, and it’s super stupid since 2.8 is VERY accessible. (Again, this is the exact reason why Carrot month is a thing. A designated set of time where you just say “FUCKIT I’m doing the thing I’ve been wanting to do forever.”)
• Lastly! I’d like to make another Carrot Talk video or two :O
This time accompany with some royalty lo-fi hip hop bullshit to raise the general feel of those videos :> I’m thinking about making a video on “Finding Your Style” and then another video on “Crushing the Artblock”

Hope you guys have been doing well despite the year!
Things are lookin' up on my end! My roomie situation has finally cleared up, which was a huge stressor for me. I'm stoked to be able to get back to doing my own thing in peace~
Supports been ABSOLUTELY amazing for our game! Vixel and I have been super thrilled with all the interest lately! You guys are amazing! With the support we've been looking around for some additional help, particularly we've found a music guy :> More will be revealed a bit later on that, but I'm so excited, they're cookin' up some good shit!
Progress is steady! Bugs/polishes/ironing stuff out on Vixel's end. I've been tackling some Act 2 assets including a couple new locations and characters. (not to mention several new sex scenes). All in good time though! Plenty of work to do there!

Other than that, today's the end of the BLM donation/raffle!
We raised 2600$ in total! (Technically 2591, but I rounded up) So I'll be donating 1300$ to NAACP and 1300$ to BlackLivesMatter(.)com.

OK! Unrelated to all that shiz, I GOT INSPIRED RECENTLY by a broadway called Hadestown. Ever heard of it? It's a retelling of Orpheus and Eurydices, paralleled with Hades and Persephone - all somewhat modernized and kinda cool. The music's fuckin' yucky-dope.
To those who know me know I have a HUGE boner for musicals. So a while back when I first found Hamilton, I did a lil animatic/storyboard test for one of the songs. I never posted it. But its kinda cool. Just wondering if y'all would like to see some sequential doodles to music!
Animated music videos have always been a kinda dream of mine. Like WAY BACK when I first started drawing, I always had these cool ideas for songs. Recently I've been tackling those sorts of things a bit more. It's great for random inspiration, and helps hone my storyboarding/animatic chops!
I started doodling out another animatic a couple days ago, and I hope to finish it :> (just as an animatic, which is like, moving storyboards) I obviously don't have time to animate music videos lmao, but quick boards? TOtally doable! I'll probably share it here when it's done, but we'll see :>

I was around $1650 on the last day, and some how y'all pushed it up to $1950 at the end of the last day (which was technically the 31st)! Totally stoked for that, so I was planning on going ahead and calling that as the 2k threshold and awarding a second $5 raffle slot!
BUT THEN, I guess my writing wasn't super obvious, so there was a surprising amount of sales yesterday. (the 1st.) So I've gone ahead and let those count and a straggler or two from today. I figured this sorta thing would happen, thus the lil' breather before I actually pulled the raffles.
The Results!
Y'all helped raise A WHOPPING $2056.31! Absolutely amazing, y'all are the bomb <3! As an additional thank you, I've awarded an EXTRA $5 raffle slot. So this raffle will have 5 winners.

What's next?

Posted 6 years agoCarrot MonthOne year (and a few weeks) was the start of Carrot Month. And it’s thanks to that month that I was sent on the path of game design and exploring a bunch of other artistic interests!

THOUGH we’re a couple weeks into August, I’d like to make the month of august a little annual sorta “Celebration”! A month to encourage and give a reason to just GO FOR IT. Whatever it is you’ve been putting off, it’s time to buckle down and just hop to it!
I’ll deem the celebration, Carrot Month! A month dedicated to your personal growth and finally pursuing something you’ve been meaning to.
I’m doing 2 things for Carrot Month this month.
1) Working on anatomical muscle group studies! Particularly the arms/legs/back muscle groupings! I’ve put this off for years, and it’s finally time I bite the bullet and give muscles the proper study they deserve.
2) I’m going to finally make a huge push to pay off one of my big student loans. By the end of the year I’d like to pay off the total of $5,831.76. Of course I still have other loans, but having this off my plate would be nice. Over the past several years, I’ve pecked it down from 13k, so this smaller number feels much more achievable to kill off.
I’ve already been pursuing the 1st one, but for the 2nd – I’m going to start with another Sketchfolio Release! This one’s a BIT different, in that, it’s not super focused on unfinished sketches, but instead, finished work I have yet to post. BUT, since I don’t plan on becoming a paywall (and also since I’ve been a shit-ass with posting recently) – I will be also releasing A FLOOD today of smut. Expect around 10-15 images. Sorry not sorry.
New Sketchfolio!Regarding the “Sketchfolio” – As always it’ll be 2$ Minimum PWYW! The suggested value will be 5$. All the funds to this folio will go DIRECTLY toward my student loans, and I will be updating the progress as times goes on. I know I won’t make 6k~ from this folio alone, but it’ll be cool to see how much you guys take a dent out of that!
I will also include a TIERED RAFFLE with this sketchfolio purchase. Here is how it’ll break down.
• There will be 3 Prizes that will be raffled off.
- The 5$ Tier – which will receive a 1 character sketch of their choice.
- The 10$ Tier – which will receive a 2 character sketch of their choice.
- And a 20$ Tier – which will receive a 2 character colored image of their choice.
• The amount you pay will automatically enter you to these raffles. If you buy the sketchfolio for <5$ you WILL NOT qualify for the raffle.

Carrot Month Ends! A review and moving forward!
Posted 7 years agoBAWWWWWWWW Man, that month went by SO GOSH DANG FAST. Unfortunately - I had like, 3 friends visiting out of town, 2 babyshowers, helping my roomies move out, and a but ton of yardwork/house stuff to finally set into motion (long story). I SWEAR everyone was out to distract me last month lmao.
DESPITE their valiant efforts - it wasn't enough to stop me >D I got a ton of stuff done!
•Start to finish CarrotTalk on Workflows
•Start to finish Carrot Dakimakuras! (more on this soon)
•Start to finish mini-narrative game "Horsin' Around"
•Pre-production for potential Enamel Pin designs
•Pre-production on acrylic stand-up
•Pre-production on small gambilng game.
•Pre-production on next game to pursue "The Bean Merchant"
•Pre-production on another mini narrative helping a cat "stretch" ;)
Mmm I think that's about it. I didn't flesh out nearly enough little narratives that I wanted to. But I'm am'd to do so!
But I also did some much needed zooming out and restructuring of my patreon and future as a furry artist. To those in my patreon who've been following along, you've seen all the changes, but for the rest of you, this is what I've been up to!
•Created more visuals on my patreon page for each pledge tier!
•Also incoporated those into Stream labs, adding another level of fun/communication during streams!
•Started a private discord server for Patreons only! A place to be much more in touch with me, (and eventually have some art-help tiers?)
And finally, and perhaps one of the biggest, I've realized that this is definitely the direction I need to head. Unfortunately, it's impossible to juggle these bigger projects and be "open" for commissions - so I will be closing my patreon-commission options. I thought I could manage this, but the past 3 years has been my "attempt" at that, and there's been very little progress in terms of my projects.
To be honest, It'll be a huge blow to my income xD, but I really hope I can win over more people's support by proving myself and making some awesome content for y'all :> I'm trying to figure out decent ways to monetize stuff while still staying true to my morals and ideals for art. I'm nervous that it's gonna be a bit of a balancing act - but I'm confident that as time goes on I'll gain the support I need.
It's gonna be some big plays, but I'm only getting older. The time I have to be able to take these chances is getting smaller, so I gotta seize it while I can!
Unfortunately you guys will probably be hearing me whoring out my patreon even more than usual xD! I feel bad about doing it, but at the same time, people don't know about it unless they see it, right? On the other hand, y'all will be seeing more than the occasional commission here 'n there!
Until then, I'll be completing owed work, and wrapping up the in-process patreon commissions.

Throughout this entire month, I won’t be doing any owed work. Instead, I’m going to be pursuing a bunch of my own projects, hopefully start to finish.
• I WILL be streaming a fair amount of this! Some stuff is best to think through quietly, but a lot of the other stuff would be perfectly good to stream!
• I WILL be sharing stuff that I do each day. I want to document the progress, and show workflow. The behind the scene stuff is important, and can be super fun too! That being said, this content will probably be PATREON ONLY simply because it’s easier to upload all kinds of content there. Finished stuff will go up everywhere as per usual!
• Consider pledging to my patreon to keep up with updates, and help me do all the cool shit I wanna do!
Here’s a list of all that cool shit:

I have to say, it's incredibly humbling seeing all the support I've gotten so far ;o;. I can't say it enough, and words do not express it - but Thank you all SO SO much for your generosity! I'd like to share a bit of the stats so far, and let ya guys know the status of my car searching, and how y'all have effected this <3
These are the stats after the first couple days of the folio being around. This is typically the bulk of when sales happen, from my experience folios tend to die out usually within a week or so. So let's see how it's done so far!
I'm absolutely ecstatic y'all! I'm SUPER fucking fortunate to have you guys as my audience, and I really appreciate all the help you guys have given me. Not just now, but over all the years. Again, it's super humbling being in this community, doing all this kind of art, and somehow making it all work, even when times get tough. This wouldn't be possible on my own, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you folks!
I'd also like to thank a couple of the top donors for this folio! I'll keep names anonymous, since I'm not trying to like, start a pissing contest, but I just really have to extend my thanks!
Following that, there were THREE users who generously donated $100.00 each! Honorable mentions below that is a user who donated $60.00 and another three users who donated $50.00 each! Of course there was a handful of people in the 10-25$ range, and of course all of the lovely heaps of people who've joined in to help me out <3 Thank you ALL for your help!
Regarding the car! Over the past week of research and calling, I've got my eyes set on one. I've already called and met with them yesterday. I've gone for a test drive and checked it out and it seems to be the best deal in the price range I'm looking! I am shopping used cars, but looking for something in the 4500~ price range so it doesn't have any immediate foreseeable problems that I'd have to deal with. Something used, but not TOO used, y'know? SO I have found JUST THAT! Within the next couple days, I'll be purchasing this car. Fortunately one of my credit cards has a 0% interest thing for a few more months, so I'll be loafing it all on that, and then paying it off as time goes by! You guys have effectively paid off 1/3rd of this entire car and that's fucking incredible! Pat yourselves on the back because FUCK YEAH.
Of course, I am still in the hole. The folio will continue to run, and I will be plugging it while I upload more art for y'all!

I really doubt "KNOT ME" is available as a license plate, just because it's pretty simple, and maaaaybe already taken by furry trash (pretty sure custom plates are state to state... not too sure) - But I do know getting custom plates isn't actually too expensive in Colorado. SOO, I was thinking it would be a fun stretch goal to offer me getting some furry trash thing xD! I'll probably come up with a few and then have a vote IF, the stretch goal is met. The stretch goal will be $3000 - I'm not super confident it'll happen, BUT, I'll promise you guys I'll figure something funny out if it does!

I hope you're all enjoying the GIGANTO FLOOD. I've got tons of color work to upload too, so I hope y'all aren't color blind now :> STILL ABOUT 200 THINGS LEFT TO HAVE POSTED HAHAHH So the shenanigans will continue. Sorry I haven't been replying too much these days, sometimes I hardly even notice when things are getting posted xD! The team is working well and working hard :> A million thanks to them! But do know, I DO read all the comments and I appreciate the hell out of all of you guys <3!
Now. Regarding the ToS thing. I don't actually have a new TOS typed up (still kinda working on how I wanna flavor it) - but I do need to make an important announcement. Don't be fooled, I'm not open for commissions or anything still, just figured I should say this.
From here on out, I need to state somewhere that ALL work done by me is only my own when it comes to selling rights. Meaning, despite you commissioning it, I have the ability to sell prints of it online or at a con or w/e. As always, you can post it, you will be credited, etc etc. But by working with me, you understand that this is something that I can sell prints of or put in a book or something in the future.
Based on the prices we artists charge, I feel like this should be super duper obvious - but I needed to have it written down that way I don't have to ask everyone in the future xD! When I come up with my official ToS, this will be included.
I mention all of this because I recently got accepted on InkedFur! I have some plans of making a daki, some prints, a book, and who knows what else in the future! Having some sort of merchandise options can only have more opportunities and possibilities for cool shit in the future! They will be launching their new site sometime next month, and once I have some things looking good - I will announce the opening of the shop. I'll probably also have a lil raffle promotional for funsies :>
I DO NOT plan on having prints of everything. Just the select few pieces that I think I did SUPER fucking well on, and think that they would make for some good prints! The ones that I choose, I will be contacting the individuals to make sure they are cool with me making prints 'n stuff. Likely candidates would be Rule 34, random designs that don't belong to anyone, or my bunny. But if I did super freaking well, your piece might be a candidate.
SO YEAH! That's about it. I'll be contacting peeps individually regarding this.

Except they aren't fresh. Most of these were drawn a year ago!
As a lot of you know, I have PROBABLY AROUND 200 things I still need to post . That is not an exaggeration, I counted about 179 to add to my trello team, + the 30 or so in trello now, plus whatever I come up with till then, plus all the cool side project stuff I can totally post from my game designs/or actual assets. SO THERE'S A LOT OF SHIT.
With that, I'd like to introduce my newest members to the post team! We have BikerBun, Blossom, and TheDirtyBit joining the ranks with Pix to help bring all dat art, to all you folks! I've tried to limit it to about 5 a day, that way we can actually catch up. So that means there's gonna be a butt ton of crap coming up. PREPARE YOUR BUNS. But also heads up - we just started, and we're figure out a lot of the kinks and stuff with having a posting team xD! It's literally entirely my fault for naming things not super helpful, and some of y'alls critters + my shitty drawing style makes it hard to tell exactly what species something is x)! So there will be some issues in tags, and what not. But please bare with us! My priority is to finally get some light on these posts, the specifics and exacts aren't as important unfortunately =(! If your commission is incorrectly tagged or whatever, please comment, and I will do my best to fix it!
In addition, I've ALSO decided to change up a bit of my patreon. I've mentioned this before, but I'm introducing a new 5$ tier, the point of it being to get monthly updates to my game once it's all up 'n ready to go! Project Smutties has gone through a ton of work so far, and it's almost at the point where I can comfortably beta it around! Just got a bit of things to fix code-wise, and a bit of assets to finish, and we'll be GOOD TO GO! Again, I will put the 1st beta out for free so y'all can see what I've accomplished so far, and I'll release it for free periodically too! But to those who wanna support and get monthly updates/voting power to what assets go in, the Patreon tier will be available!
BUT MORE PRESENTLY - I will have a new temporary perk for the 5 dollar mark! You will get access to ALL of the crap I need to post. That's 90~ images right now, lots of sketches, some B/w paintings, some color paintings - in a beautifully annoying giant folder where you can check it all out. I'll update this folder with the rest of them next month.
No - This is not to delay the posting of my stuff on sites for a week or two. This is not to get my patreons some early access. But I must. And move, I shall. This is NOT the move to California, that'll happen sometime next year probably. So yeah, I'll be gone for a bit.
BUT ONTO THE GOOD NEWS!
So I've accepted that I'm shitty at posting. (it only took like 2 years, nice) - BUT THE GOOD PART IS I'M FINALLY DOIN' SOMETHIN' ABOUT IT. AND BY ME, I MEAN MY FRIEND PIX!
So he's gonna be super awesome, and help me out by posting some shiz every so often! It's at his leisure, and I'll probably request not more than like, 5 in a day. BUT HOLY HECK you guys are in for SO MUCH SHIT MAN. I queued up 91 in a shared to-do list, and this is still work from 2016 ;v; IM SOOOOOO SORRY xD!
Btw, I should probably mention. It might be entirely possible THAT YOU HAVE COMMISSIONED ME, AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR THING. And it might even have been a year or so ago. I've been done with all owed commissions FOR A VERY LONG TIME. And I know I'm terrible about delivering stuff. If you're waiting on something, let me know. Or if you wanna keep waiting, it'll actually get posted now :D
Posting is actually a very special part for me. I love coming up with wacky crap, and communicating with y'all, but at this point, I just need help. I FINALLY HAVE CHOSEN A PROJECT TO GO PRETTY HAM ON. It's a game! Sorta. I mean, you can't lose... It's kind of like a glorified dress-up... WORDS CANT JUSTIFY HOW COOL THIS SHIT IS!

I've been picking up Unity AND BOI AM I LOST - but one of my old college homies was super stoked to get going on a side project. And he's TOTALLY CARRYING THIS PROJECT HARDDDD (program-wise.) Meanwhile, I get to make all the assets and ANIMATIONSSSS. YEAH YOU HEARD RIGHT FOOLS.

Flash animation though. Because FUCK doing traditional. But it's cool, I know my shit, and you guys liked all the flash stuff I've done before >D! AND LEMME TELL YA, THE THINGS I'VE GOT IN THE WORKS IS PRETTY DANG SAUCY. We're talkin LOOOTS OF ASSETS! Stuff that patreon peeps will getting to vote on!
So yeah! This is my first official delve into a game and a SRSLY BIG PROJECT. Once I have the ability to save up 'n running, get about 10 assets, and a couple finished Backgrounds, I'll release the thing free as a proof of concept! From there, I'll be doing monthly releases on Patreon till the thing's done! Periodically, I'll release bigger versions for free to y'all. But if you could spare the support, that'd be hella <3!
If I can prove my worth and gain some srs hype, then I'll FOR SURE be going the Indi-game route for the foreseeable future >D
This project is going to be pretty LARGE. I'm thinking I'll call it "done" once there's like, 100~ animated assets. I just animated a "sorta" simpler one that's 2 characters and it took about 5.5 hours - not bad! I won't be able to devote all the time to this - I'll still be doing patreon commissions and stuff on the side, opening here 'n there.
I'd like to mention: The biggest reason for shifting over to a larger project is because I haven't had a "baby" in a LONG time. I haven't had a big project that I was SUPER MEGA HYPED, or uniquely challenged on in a very very long time. This sorta task is full of new struggles and things to learn, and THIS SORTA STUFF is why I'm an artist. This is a SERIOUS PORTION OF FUN. I love doing paintings for ya guys, I love drawing, but man, I was doing like, 2-4 a DAY. They kinda end up losing their novelty after a while. Not that I'm getting bored or burnt out - I just need something BIGGER!
So yeah!
To those who watch streams, you can catch me animating in Flash more recently these days! (To those interested in Flash animation, I use a pipeline similar to how TV animation uses Flash.)
