Probably! I never went to a dance competition before FWA, but the Floor Wars at that con were BALLIN' yo, so I may well take the time to see the dance competitions at MFF.

Yes, fair warning though my go-to reaction to getting given stuff is to laugh like an alien who's never encountered the concept of human compassion, and somehow manage to blush despite the fact my skin is darker than most cups of coffee.

Suuuree? I don't actually tend to drink that much, but cons are some of the few spaces I attempt to try new things in that vein.

A recent bit of news that I'll be moving house has spurred me on to try and be a bit faster on my queue, which I've been doing pretty good about! You'll be getting news soon if your story's been taking a minute.
In the meantime I've been getting pokes about people interested in audio commissions! I think it might be an avenue I pursue? Mind you it probably won't be the cheapest thing in the world as the VA is entitled to a good chunk of the money and such, but I'd imagine getting a commission of an existing characters (Bloop, Nzuri, Bryce, Synthetic Kaa etc) would be cheaper than finding a voice for a character, though I will do that. Plus I have some new female talent on 'Staff' (Do I have staff? This is weird...) so if interested parties do want to give females characters a voice I'm down for that.
Still, I need a few test cases! Send me a note about it! We'll see what we can do, I think it'll be a 'Send me an Idea and I'll send you a quote' kinda dealie, though as a ballpark it'll probably run you about $200+

Hurricane Irma
Posted 8 years agoNot gonna mince words, the eye wall of Hurricane Irma is predicted to hit my town at a Catagory 3!
...NOT GOOD.
But hopefully I should be alright, sorry if I haven't been around or the most communicative of late, it's been a hectic few weeks to put it mildly! But I'll be writing away in some corner of the storm until such time the power comes back. If you don't see me around the Discord (If curious about that ask in a note, I like to keep it small) Telegram, notes, twitter or Tumblr it's because I'm off the grid for a bit!

Comission Updates and On Leaving Calgary
Posted 8 years agoI'm leaving Calgary in a couple hours, so I just want to take a moment to reflect. This has probably been one of the better weeks of my life in total, ranking in the top ten in no small part thanks to 
solidness and his lovely family who have hosted and fed and been exceptionally kind to me this entire stay. My first time out of the country has been a whirlwind of fun and excitement that I wouldn't trade for the world.
I think in general my life has gotten a lot better with the friends I've made in all the little subsections of the internet I'm in, I started writing a list of them here with a bunch of traits I admired about them, but then I realized that I'm such an enormous dingus that I'd leave somebody out and I don't want anyone to feel left out. All of the encounters I've made in 2017 and beyond have been enormously wonderful and this capstone has made me all the more appreciative of your comfort, companionship, and patience. Your humor and kind ears have been a major bulwark against the occasional emotional haze.
Thank you everyone, particularly to solidness for the past two weeks, and to all reading this for taking the time to say hello.
On the topic of commissions some folks have been trying to get into contact with me of late, I've been so busy I haven't kept up as much as I should! But Ill be back in Florida on Thursday and will reply to all notes/inquiries upon my return. Not only have I gone to Calgary, but I've moved out of my old apartment as the lease is up and my roommates are moving elsewhere. Thus reopening communications and posting my backlog/finishing up anything that might have escaped my notice in the past month or two will be my top priority in order to start saving for a new security deposit/house moving funds in early to mid-August. I have got some interest from a fur in Orlando who's interested in moving up and rooming with me, I'll most likely be in the Jacksonville area, though other spots in Florida are also possible, if interested please note me as rent is cheaper with more housemates, though note I am not the partying sort, so quiet low-key roommates are best.
In conclusion I'm heading back to Florida with a lot of change ahead. I'll be staying with my parents in the interim, and they are....ehhhhhhhhh, not the most forward thinking, which may make things hard for a minute as they lean far more right than my fairly leftist mindset. It'll be challenging, but hopefully not lengthy and I thank you for your continued support, patronage, and friendship.
Once again an enormous, unending thank you to solidness for hosting me in my first trip abroad, and for his continued friendship. If I'd known that when I met him in 2011-2012 or so that I'd have ended up in his house and getting KO'd at bowling, I would have laughed out loud. In the present, however, there are scant few places I'd have rather spent the last two weeks.
See you all on Thursday, with perhaps a few posts on twitter to let you know how my 10-12 hour some odd treck back to the sunshine state is going.

Happy Happy Birthday~
Posted 8 years agoNormally I'm not huge on celebrating my birthday as I come from a large familly and I'm usually a bit relegated, so it's never been a huge thing. BUT, This year, I'm feeling quite a bit better and quite a bit happier in general, thanks, in enormous parts to amazing friends, whom I can't list out here for fear I'd miss someone, but if you're reading this, and we've talked at length in the last three months you're probably somewhere on the list. Thank you to everyone and anyone who gives me the time of day and listens to all my dumb character gushing.
Though I do have to take special consideration to thank solidness who I am staying with today, and who has invited me into his home for the next week and change to stay and enjoy the placid calm of a far nicer place than my rather hectic and stressful hometown. He's been a gracious and generous host, and I can't thank him enough for what's been a fantastic few days here, and for being a grand friend despite my occasional foibles and flaws. Much thanks to him, go give him an internet punch.
Beyond that I'd like to thank the fandom in general for always being accepting, kind and a place where I don't feel like quite so much of an alien. I am quite good in social situations really, but I don't think I've ever been more at ease than I have with the friends I've made within this fandom, and as I head into a new year of my life, I look forwards to enjoying the company of old friends and making new ones. Thank you all for your time, patience and friendship.

I've only raised the price of the audios by 50 cents however, I am making less, so do consider my patreon or ko-fi still, all help and support is appreciated!
Payhip seems to be down for accepting payments for my audios and I have no idea when it'll be back up. Gumroad doesn't work with paypal and that's the main way Furries pay for things so I can't use that, and most other E-commerce sites charge a lot more to use, so I'd have to jack the price up
So that means at current I can't sell any audio dramas, which is a three-digit loss to monthly income. It might come back up soon but the thing about Payhip is they're as transparent as cement about what's going on behind the scenes so I'm kinda stuck in a nebulous foggy place.
I've taken the Nzuri audio down while I try to figure out how to retool this into something workable. In the mean time, do consider perhaps buying me a ko-fi to support my endeavors...just in case.
And also to those who want to hear the Nzuri audio that was supposed to go up for sale, patrons got it yesterday, and it's live there for $5+ patrons

Sorry I've been less active around the net than usual, I got some REALLY BAD Con crud from FWA, And I think the resulting bedriddenness exacerbated my depression into a weird little spiral of 'Really hard to even get up and brush my teeth because I'm a useless potato sack' levels.
BUT, Coming out of that for now (I hope) and trying to get back on track, thank the lot of you for your gracious patience and attention to my various endeavors.
Aside from that, I've been having fun making audio stuff and by this point have a lil' stable of VAs and so forth, so, would anyone be interested in a longform narrative? Like an 5-8 episode little mini-series in audio form? It could be kinky, or it could be just some furry audio drama plot shenanigans, just assessing interest.

Laptop Broken, TFF and FWA RP stuff and other Fun Updates!
Posted 8 years agoSO My laptop screen broke, and upon lifting it up to see if that was all that was broken, the darn thing sounds a biiit like a marraca? Seeing as it's my only source of computing this is not great, but I shall survive I just might be less active around the net for a bit which is a bummer.

Posted 9 years agoSO UPDATES FROM THE THANKSGIVING WARFRONT.
I'm doing well, still settling into the new apartment still, and working through my queue a bit faster hopefully! Thanksgiving was not as terrible as expected, which is a major positive, much food and talk to be had in general!
But onto the thing you probs clicked about
I've been getting a fair armful of RP requests of late, and I've been doing it for so long that I've gotten into quite a few bad 'RP relationships' for lack of a better word. I have a few good ones currently of course! So if you're reading this and I RP with you on the reg you're fine, I've expunged most negative folks from my life in general. BUT I'd gotten into the habit of ignoring RP requests wholesale? And that's not exactly fair....SO I DID THE PERFECTLY LOGICAL, AND NOT AT ALL ROBOTIC OR WEIRD THING, and made a forum for it.

Posted 9 years agoI have a LOT of scripts, in need of Victims and characters. I had a list of voice reels people have sent me, but I lost them in the move to this new appartment and all the recogiggering of computer setups. SO PROVIDE A VOICE SAMPLE BELOW.
Also (I don't mean to be mean) but if you're USING YOUR LAPTOP MIC or that headset that came with your Xbox it's PROBABLY NOT HIGH ENOUGH AUDIO QUALITY. Clean audio is best audio!

....This is news to me, but I think a positive development. Anyway people have been calling me all day and wandering by the house to let me know what's happening, and I'm moving to a quaint little townhouse with my sister as a room mate for a few months to help her out (She's in a bad place and it's probably for the best). BUT I'll have more freedom there than here (I currently live on my own but my parents own the property and can request anything from me at any time as a result even though I pay rent). So you may see more of me!
Though commissions I usually get may slow down since the Townhouse is also more expensive to a small degree....
ON THAT NOTE....I don't know, people tell me I should start a patreon...but I don't feel like I...er....do anything? I mean there's the audio dramas and the stories but...I don't know what do people think? I could make more audio dramas if I did I suppose, offer voting options, patreon members vote and the winning scenario gets made, that kinda thing.

Let's Talk About RPs!
Posted 9 years agoMy power blinked out again since the workmen are fiddling with the stoplights on the street post hurricane, but I LIVED. It wasn't as bad as it could have been, I haven't gotten onto the roof yet to asses that but some shingles blew off and hopefully there's no leaking.
Anyway writing this on my phone, but in the mean time, how about you tell me some of your RP horror stories? Or success stories? What do you look for in a partner? What drives you INSANE when you see it? To start, one thing that absolutely drives me UP THE WALL, Is one word replies like *squirms* which are fine in random one off teasing mid-conversatino, but when there's a massive RP going on and you've written eight paragraphs and that's the response it just grrr....
OH, that and micro-managers who keep going OOC to suggest how you should play things? Grrr....
I never get TOO annoyed at these things but they're peeves, you?

Though throughout 2016 along with the death of several relatives things have been escalating at an alarming rate. Over the weekend my sister called to tell me they were shouting thier heads off. They've shared a kind of emotional abuse for nigh on a decade but I called them to calm them down, eventually visiting for a short time, which left me emotionally drained, I went to work this morning where my sister called me again to say that my mom had struck my father several times....
Thankfully he did not, to my knowlege reply in kind. It's usually her that's the voice of reason in their wars of words, but I think the death of her father this year has perhaps unhinged her reason slightly and things aren't great...

On The Nature of Lies and Fur and Aesexuality
Posted 9 years agoI have about a thirty minute commute to work from home so that's about an hour's travel time each day. I spend this time in the car listening to audiobooks since my time to read physical books has waned in recent years (I would read them while driving but this is frowned upon)
Quite recently I picked up Seraphina by Rachel Hartman, a book set in a world where dragons and humans cohabitate, with dragons taking the form of humans to facilitate a shaky peace between the species. The titular character, Seraphina, was one I found I related too more than intended perhaps. Within the narrative, she is an odd cross between these two things, her mother having been one of these dragons in human for, and her father a human (Though he didn't know this about her mother at the time). Because of this she's half dragon, and must hide this reality from all that surround her, along with hiding the band of scales along her back and wrists, at risk of being exiled or worse.
I of course, have no draconic heritage and that is not why I relate. Seraphina is a good person, with a fairly on point moral compass, though she can be jealous and short tempered, but despite this, by the nature of what she is, she must also be a liar. As strange as it is, I relate to this in to a large degree. I may have mentioned it on Twitter or Tumblr, but for starters I'm aesexual, which isn't the most widely accepted of sexualities, though I will never claim to face such widespread prejudice as those along other spectrums. Still, while listening to the book, I kinda realized that (to a far lesser degree) I kinda know what that feels like?
And perhaps you do too...
Beyond my Asexualty, my online activties take on quite a large portion of my inner workings. It's a rather large part of my life in general, owing a lot of friendships, creations and even small income to such things. But if nearly anyone asks about those things I lie on automatic. It's become second nature, a reflexive action to the point where I stopped noticing it was strange. If someone asks 'How did your weekend' go, I really can't say 'Oh it was great I went to a bar with a racoon and got a brand new comission of my ratgirl waitress.' At least not in the outright sense. Of course this is in no way the fault of my conversation partner, more an internal insecurity, and one based upon my own choices rather than anything I cannot truly help, but it's...isolating perhaps? To have an inner world so steeped in something, but often building a wall of reflexive white lies between yourself and any true connection.
And I wonder if there's anything to be done about it? And then I think...no...not really. My parents discovered one of my white-lie-walls earlier in the year, finding out about my aesexuality, and it made my life patently worse as a result. And thus I've avoided the topic entirely, yet...it's something that is a part of my internal workings, I'm...alienated by the rather sex driven pressures of those around me, I think on these things long and often. Yet, if I wanted to have a conversation with my mother, sister, or 98% of my friends about these feelings, the attempt at connection would not lead to positive growth.
And as the book progressed I found myself thinking on it more. I think the same feeling, even discounting my aesexuality, can be found in many subcommunities in general. I can imagine a lot of you have rich inner worlds that manifest in small ways within the outer one, yet when someone inquires about them, your immediate impulse is to lie offhand, to a parent, or a relative, or acquaintance.
The book Seraphina, talks about how this weighs on the main character day to day, and how it perhaps chips away at the heart of her a little, because she is the unwilling liar. She would rather not do so, but to do anything else would change the perceptions of the people around her for the worse, so to live life as she knows it, its a necessity.
I may be overdramatic of course, I have no real issues that might lead to exile or death or anything so massive as that. But yet I feel perhaps a kinship in these white-lie-walls the book speaks of, and I do wonder if they block those who might visit my inner world from doing so. I wonder at times though I am asexual, if I go on a date, what would I tell him or her? I don't think what I find enjoyable in my inner world is going to fade at any point in my life going forwards. As seemingly innocuous as it is, will those white lie walls grow from a boarder fence into a fortress by the time I'm old enough to worry about things like marriage and true connection? Would hiding something that makes me happy in the day to day be worth the perceptional shift it saves me having to deal with? And, like Seraphina, do I, at the end of the story, choose to show the scales along my back, or risk the day to day abrasions along the white-lie-walls from crumbling and damaging something on the way down?...
I...don't even remotely know the answer to that.

ANYWAY, judging by the reception of the last few audio things, people apparently have a liking for it! Would thier be any interest perhaps in some kind of serialized story told via audio perhaps? There'd be a bit of kinky stuff of course, but a bit of a narrative to go with it I'm thinking something fantasy oriented, full cast, short episodes of 15 minutes or so.

UPDATE!
Posted 9 years agoI have moved my modem into my room and set it up around my desk, plugging my laptop in through ethernet, this will work until I can get a USB adapter to replace my burnt out internal adapter.
SO THE BAT IS BACK BABY, and my internet will probably be more stable while hooked up this way.
But the stress of thinking (For a moment) that I'd need a new laptop has kinda burnt me out today, so sadly no stream, but I really will try to stream sometime this week after work if it doesn't murder me too badly.
