Its difficult to fully evaluate a game that has only been released for a few days, though im going to attempt to do so anyways!

I never played the first Guild Wars game, as World of Warcraft was good at the time, and i never really had any intention to play this one until mister zangusuu brought up the idea.

I know that i am not alone when i say that i have been waiting for a good MMO for a very long time, and so far, GW2 seems to be that light at the end of the tunnel.

Every so called "WoW Killer" that have been released in the past few years have fallen short of their claim. Each of the games failed somewhere in the core game play, and died almost immediately after release. From what ive played, GW2 seems to have a strong chance of being the next big game.

The core combat is simple, yet addictively fun. Its a new aspect and concept for MMO gameplay (as are many of GW2's features), but it fits in well, and gives off a sort of "new car smell" while keeping the game feeling MMO'ish.

The crafting in this game is almost as addicting as the core gameplay, in the sense that its both innovative and rewarding.


Before I go any further, let me say that GW2, and lots of things about it are intended to break away from standard MMO fundamentals. There are no static healers or tanks, each class has its own way of keeping its-self alive/sustained without completely breaking the combat system.

This is not your typical run to the mill "grind your fingers to dust for 20 hours to get higher numbers to use those numbers to get higher numbers" game. There are still grinds to get better gear and improve your character, but nothing like an MMO based around mindless grinding. Hell, the grinding in GW2 is actually fun, and hardly feels like a grind at all.

The game is based around challenging combat, and competing with other servers in pvp, and let me tell you about the pvp! The open realm vs realm pvp maps are epicly huge, the pvp is balanced, and you can do it at any level without feeling completely gimped. TLDR: its gewd

This game is not WoW, and it never will be. Nor will any game for that matter. WoW was a one time thing. It was amazing for its time, and it used to be the best MMO out there, period, but it done its run, and its time to pass the torch to a game much more deserving. Ive tried to avoid playing favorites and tossing insults, but WoW is currently (and has been for many years) shit; the developers (blizzard) care about nothing but how much money they can siphon from you, and havent produced anything good since they signed on with activision (aside from sc2 which activision wasnt allowed to have any say in).

In conclusion, if youre looking for a quick grind to max level, followed by more mindless grinding to gear up, followed by more mindless grinding repeatedly running raid dungeons, this game isnt for you. I realize there are infact players who do enjoy mindless boring traditional grindy MMO gamebase, and if you happen to fit that description, you will most likely not enjoy this game for very long.

Now on the other hand, if youre looking for an innovative, and actually-fun-to-play MMO with actual challenging aspects, plenty of competitive pvp, and arent afraid to think outside of the "tank-dps-healer" meta, then yes, youre going to fucking love this game and probably sink many many otherwise-productive hours into it!

Oh, and did i mention its a one time fee to play this game? Thats right. No more monthly fee bullshit.
The only fees that you will see, are to buy stuff like vanity items, and other things that give you no real advantage over other players, IE no pay to win feature.


As i said earlier, its too early for me to fully rate the game, but ive been enjoying the hell out of it so far, and Im confident i shall continue to enjoy the hell out of it for many many days to come! If you havent tried the game yet, and arent certain on the idea, feel free to ask any queshuns ;p

Its hard to review a game such as Diablo III so early into its release as there will certainly be many changes to core game play in the near future, yet i feel compelled to do so anyways so my reader base (no one), can agree/disagree/discuss matters of interest!


Anyways, you start your quest in the world of sanctuary, 20 years after the events of Diablo II have passed. Your goal is to pick one of the valorous heroes and charge into endless hordes of countless demons, hacking and slashing your way through the games plot as you eventually make your way to Diablo himself to send him back to hell in a hand basket. (Almost quite literally)

The first subject i want to bring up is the combat system. As skeptical as one may be about how the new system will meld into the game as opposed to the Diablo II combat system, after about 10 minutes of play, it feels almost natural as it blends in well and is very easy to learn/use. The major flaw of this system isnt actually in the system its self, but rather the games difficulty later on.

I was very pleased to see that the barbarian class used a fury resource to use his abilities instead of mana, which was a really bad concept from the games predecessor, although i have to scratch my head and wonder what the difference is between the witch doctor's mana, and the wizard's arcane power, as both function almost completely identically except for the regeneration rate.

Early into the game, the skill system offers a lot of variety, letting you switch abilities at will without any negative impact into your game play. But as you progress into the later game, the difficulty demands almost a completely singular skill build in order to progress. You will see a lot of fun skills sitting around collecting dust in your spell book as you load your action bar with survival and AI breaking spells.

As if that werent bad enough, at max level you get a stackable buff for killing elite monsters, which increases your chance to find magical items, giving people with no + to magic find gear an opportunity to find stuff, which is an awesome idea, yet once you have the buff, if you change skills (or even the rune on a skill), you lose the buff completely. It really raises the question of why blizzard would present the skill system as being completely customizable, and then pull a complete 180 and force such a singular linear skill set to be completely necessary in order to accomplish anything.

In short, the skill system is both new and fun, and relatively unique for terms of diablo games, but becomes very singular and disappointing late game as you have to sacrifice many of your spells for necessary ones in order to progress anywhere in the later difficulties.


I mentioned the games difficulty affecting various aspects of the game, which i will now explain. If you have played any diablo game ever, you would know that once you beat the game, you unlock a new difficulty level, and then another, and a fourth difficulty if youre playing D3. The higher difficulty levels are the exact same game, just with tougher monsters and better items.

The game plays almost completely linear from difficulty from the next, until you hit inferno. The game suddenly rises from challenging, to impossible. You hit a wall, unable to progress any farther without pausing to either grind, or buy gear from the auction house constantly.

The difficulty of individual monsters in inferno varies greatly, as you will find your self 1 shotting a monster, then getting 1 shotted by the next one you encounter. The groups of champion monsters in inferno are generally close to unkillable, especially in later acts, having 4 special properties, a shit-ton of HP, and enough damage to kill just about any class in a few quick hits. It raises the question of "did blizzard even test inferno before releasing the game?" as the boss monsters are actually easier to kill than the normal monster groups. Simply scaling numbers without testing the results will result in unstable game difficulty, leaving the actual progression through the acts to be tedious and frustrating.

Im all for enjoying a challenge, which the first run through hell difficulty provided almost perfectly, but when a game crosses over from challenging, to frustrating and tedious because of the difficulty, it switches from "tough monster, time to play smart" to "tough monster, time to play find the exploit for 10 minutes". Youl know what i mean when a group of jailer arcane enchanted shielding invulnerable minions comes at you.



Ive never looked too deeply into the story line of diablo games. Ive always had a good idea of whats going on and why, though im not much of a lore nerd for the series its self. (warcraft is a different story for me though!)

Very early into the game, i found my self able to call just about every event that was going to happen, such as the fallen star turning out to be tyrael (which was a really corny aspect of the story in my opinion), cain dying, the emperor turning out to be belial, and so on.

I did enjoy the attempts they made to make the story more appealing, such as the cutscenes, and epic cinematics, though it becomes a bother after your first few runs through, and they made the bosses pop up and talk to you way too many times through out the game. (IM LOOKING AT YOU DIABLO AND AZMODAN!)

They made the mercenary people much more interesting in D3 as opposed to D2, each having a little back story, and give dialogue quite frequently as you adventure based on your current quest and what not. They are incredibly weak compared to D2 mercs, which im not too upset about as they were waaaaay too powerful in D2.


The auction house seems like a good concept. It relieves the hassle of spamming chats with attempts to make trades for the items you want, and makes gold actually somewhat valuable this time around. The real-money auction house seems like a silly idea to me, as i generally am against game breaking features that let you completely skip a vital step of the game and progress past it. But blizzard will be blizzard, who apparently havent milked enough money out of the pockets of the die-hard WoW playerbase.



Diablo III is by no means a bad game, its just riddled with problems the previous games suffered from which i was really hoping they would address, along with newer problems that spawned with the new features of D3.

I guess at its best, Diablo III is the pinacle of hack and slash games, and will leave you sleep deprived for many nights to come as you stay up well into the morning hours snorting your daily dose of monster-slaughtering cocaine. (You will have fun with this addictive game is the just of it)

At its worst, Diablo III can be frustrating and tedious at higher difficulties, repeating many of the errors made by its predecessors.


Ide give the game either a 6.5 or 7 out of 10. While it is fun, there are many errors blizzard could have easily prevented with a bit more time spent on the games development.

I realize you folks at blizzard didnt want to delay the game any longer, but for such a major game title like the diablo series, it would have been worth the wait. When you go to any fast food joint, would you rather take the stale fries that have been sitting out for an hour, or wait a bit for fresh ones to be made?


Once more, the game hasnt been out for very long, and im sure many things are going to change in the near future. Anywho, thanks @ all of you (nobody!) for reading!

If youre like me, you enjoy comfortably warm weather, and the outdoor activities such weather permits.

Thats why im not too particularly happy when October rolls around, and the warm summer weather disappears from the state of Michigan just as fast as it sets in, and is replaced by the 6 long miserable months of Michigan winter, which seems to be quite different from most winters.

When you think of how winter happens, you probably think of thick powdery snow blanketing the scenery, bright cloud filled sky, christmas lights dangling from houses and trees as snow lightly falls to the ground.

Now let me tell you how Michigan winter happens.

There is no fall in Michigan, and there is no spring in Michigan. There is simply summer, and Michigan winter. October rolls around, the temperature drops from upper 60's to low 40's and stays there until next Summer.

Then comes Christmas time! Thick blankets of snow shall cover the frozen earth as all enjoy the spirit that is winter, right? Wrong!

The temperature stays at low 40's high 30's throughout the entire month, just enough to be frustratingly cold and uncomfortable, and just warm enough for all of the snow that touches ground to instantly melt and turn the ground in to a messy muddy hellstorm of water puddles and thick mud.

The beautiful winter scenery one expects to go with christmas is replaced by a view of leafless, lifeless trees, dead grass, dark gray sky, and rain, because most of the time, its too warm for it to be snow this time of year.

So yeah, this weather continues on through most if not all of January. You may get an occasional snow that stays on the ground for a day or two, but give it three or four days tops, and the temperature rises a few degrees, and youre back in mud-puddle hell.

Michigan winter is kind of like the guy who shows up late to every party hes invited to, drinks way too much, makes a mess, and then stays way longer than anyone wants him to.

I say this, because February rolls around, and NOW Michigan winter wants to cover the earth in thick blankets of beautiful snow. Now that Christmas, the only time of the year that most people actually WANT snow to be present, is over, Michigan winter decides its time to shower everyone with his spirit... for the next three or so months.

Oh, and you figure with such chaotic weather coming like CLOCKWORK AT ALMOST THE SAME TIME EVERY YEAR, people would have learned to drive in this shit by now. Nope, come the first snowflake to touch ground in Michigan, 80% of drivers on the road are in a ditch, or parked in the back of another car within the hour. It never fails, and it never will.

Come the end of February, most Michiganders are so sick of winter that they contemplate killing their family with a wood chipper just for the insurance money to buy an airline ticket to somewhere warm.

Then come the middle of March, people sit in their homes with their eyes glued to the TV, watching the weather channel as if theyre about to announce the winning lottery, wondering if next week will be the week the snow finally ends for the year. The snow will melt, most of the time from a torrential downpour of rain... but give it a day or two, and sure enough, the snow is back, in seemingly impossibly larger amounts than before...

Come the middle of April, when everyone has given up hope and prepares to embrace the jaws of misery for the rest of their lives, the snow melts one last time, never to be heard from again. People are cautious, not willing to believe its over, saying "oh, its just teasing us, it will be back tomorrow!". Eventually, at the end of April, with no snow in sight, people slowly start to look around, like a turtle slowly poking its head out of its shell after just being dropped from the jaws of a wolf who was trying to bite him in half for the past 12 hours.

Then, finally, the beginning of May is upon the state of Michigan, and just as quickly as Michigan winter set in, it disappears without a trace, and is replaced by warm, sunny weather, and with it, the state of Michigan is left to scratch its head in confusion, and wonder how the state some how ignores the laws of nature to cause such chaotic seasons.

But soon enough... all thoughts of winter are forgotten, as boats fill the waters, bikers and runners fill the streets and trails, and people can be seen outside enjoying themselves for the first time in what seems like a century.




People often ask me why i hate winter, and i tell them the same thing any other sane Michigander would; Because it fucking sucks

I can understand why folks from places like texas would find a cold winter to be appealing, but trust me... from a guy who has experienced all kind of weather, the hot dry season you put up with is much less depressing than the cold, wet, gloomy, suicide inducing season that plagues places like Michigan for half of the freaking year.

Soz, ive just recently beaten the elite for and the bad guys and stuff at teh pokemon league, and i get access to the three towns to the right on the map, aaaaaaand the levels of the trainers jumped from mid fourties, to mid sixties out of no where.

I cant help but feel like i missed something, because that is a dramatic change in the levels.

Was there a zone i was sposed to go to you know, cover the level gap before fighting mid sixties?

Hey there erryone.

Sorreh for not uploading much as of late, its been a wild time between messing up my financial aid for college, to having to wait till winter semester, to scampering around for a job.

So needless to say, life and stuff, been preoccupied lately, and any free time i had was going into spending time with friends rather than drawing. Buuuuuuuuut... the troublesome portion seems to be over!

I got my self a new jerb, nothing fancy, just delivering pizzas, and to top it all off, i met the sweetest umbreon to ever walk the earth, and instantly fell in love with him l3. Were now officially mated, nothing serious like a full blown relationship, just a couple of silly vees in love, enjoying eachothers company ♥


Anywho, ive got two commish pictures im working on, and megafuckingshittons of ideas for new pictures, and with my new jerb ill be able to get a tablet soon, so expect a good amount of art to be cranked out in the near future!

After hearing what a life changing experience it was to watch MLP from a variety of .. bronies is it?, I decided to finally watch an episode and see what all the fuss is about.

To my surprise, it was nothing like the original MLP show i remember watching as a young child, the characters were cleverly made this time around, and the plot, though not amazing (not in what ive watched anyways), wasnt horrible.

It is a show designed to appeal to a younger audience, and it shows through the wording and actions of the characters.

As i noticed this, its what ultimately made me question what the show has that brings out the interest of alot of peoples inner man-child.

Its a well made show, but it is a kids show, and that fact weighs heavily down on the level of interest. Its kind of like how i still like pokemon so much, but cant stomach the show because of that fact that its based to appeal to a younger audience, and not just that fact its self, but the actual impact is has on the show.


So yeah, i watched it, i ended up a little surprised, but it just begs me to ask the question again-

What is it about the show that makes people so obsessed with it?

Its not for me, its for a friend of glowfox, who is an awesome dooder who goes out of his way to help people alot.

Unfortunately, as it often goes, some one needs money for medical expenses.

Hay thar folks, i have a conundrum. I want to draw moar bondage pictures, but i cant seem to come up with any good ideas. So im left to do the usual thing when i have no ideas for pictures, ask other people for ideas!
