I can't be associated with this travesty. I mean, I've got standards, for fuck's sake. This is the latest of a long line of immoral and illegal bullshit brought on by FA's staff. A lot of others who have left have tiptoed around the issue, but fuck that, I'm righteously pissed-off and calling directly it as it is.
How the sweet fuck could anyone think bringing Zaush, a known rapist, onto Fur Affinity's staff was a good idea? Aside from the shameful PR nightmare, how fucking immoral is that? What the hell is going through Dragoneer's mind? "Hey, not only am I going to dissuade you from talking about being raped, I'm going to make the person who has victimized you and numersous other users of our site with his sexual predation into key staff! Remember that competent team that's handling the site code? I sure don't, so he can have their job."
Now some of you might object to what I've just said for some stupid reason. I originally wouldn't have thought it possible, but I've seen some of the most god-damned idiotic people spewing their shitty opinions onto this fiasco over the past few days, so I'm going to nip this shit in the bud before it even blooms:

In other words, Dragoneer confirms that the victim said no, and Zaush confirms that he fucked her anyway. And now they're buddies running the site that hosts your gallery and is a major hub of your socialization.
Dragoneer has actively supported Zaush while claiming a stance of neutrality. He advised the victim to not draw a lot of attention to what Zaush did, and then defends Zaush with points that are contradictory to Zaush's own story. Zaush says she wanted it; the victim said she didn't want it; and Dragoneer reiterates that she said didn't want it, but somehow pulls the doublethink that what happened was somehow not rape. Sex without enthusiastic, continuous consent is rape.

Fur Affinity is the most major hub of art, socialization, and business for the furry fandom. It's an immensely-important site to many people, one that is constantly used. I know people who want so badly to burn their bridges here after becoming aware of the disgusting behaviour of those in charge, but in doing so, they risk losing some clientele and not being able to pay the rent — but many of them are risking it anyway, because their dignity is worth more. This is all because of the monsters who hold the power in this community, the ones who represent you.

Posted 12 years agoSo if you don't know by now, I play this game called Second Life. I have recently become close to someone very near and dear to me. He has been my friend since I started playing this game. We recently discussed becoming intimate online with each other. Before you freak out, I discussed it with my husband so just SHUSH!
I just now found his profile on facebook and I am debating on whether or not to add him as a friend on there. We're friends on Second Life and friends on FA but that's it.
Anyways, the question is this:Should I add him on facebook or is that going to far outside the roll of personal boundaries and making an online game no longer an online game.
I know as I ask this question, my thoughts are "NO! Just because you're second life friends don't mean you have to be friends in RL" or "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU STALKER?!"

Fur reals?!
Posted 12 years agoSo, I bought about 10 yards of fabric on furbuy an now I have to do something with it. It's just sitting in my closet and calling my name. It's so soft and beautiful. I want to make hand paws for myself, but also a tail and feet paws. I am not sure yet if I will be able to as I work wonky hours. Does anyone know locally where I can pick up some shag turquoise/aqua fur?! I am trying to make my character Celestial.... but it seams hard to do when you don't have time .... damn it time, why must you be so cruel?!
So, I have an idea on what I want to do with my tail though! I want to put orange LED lights in the tail so it looks like the stars. If you've seen me on Second Life, my tail is aweshum! It's purple and has orange glowing dots on it to represent the stars... hence Celestial.... damn it, I should just go to sleep... i've been up for WAY too long.... sleep is good.

Posted 12 years agoSo I bought my daughter some really nice boots for Christmas but wasn't sure they would fit her. I had my mom try them on because they're the same size. I bought them on behalf of Santa who couldn't be here to deliver the presents himself due to some sort of binge drinking and over indulgence of cookies from the Jersey Shore....
Well, Anyways, just now my daughter was opening said boots and my mom said "oh ya they'll fit you. I tried them on myself."
My daughter, being skeptical as is, instantly caught on and teared up spouting out "How could you? These are from Santa!" Mom, trying to recover said that she went to Santa's house and tried them on for her... Daughter was NOT amused by this at all knowing Santa lives in the North Pole. Posted 14 years agoSo, I put this out there in the general public because I am a big gay rights person and believe no one should be discriminated upon because of his or her race, creed, group affiliation, sexuality, gender or religion. (Or lack there of)
What is a furry, Jenn? You ask. A furry is an anthropomorphic animal with human characteristics. These animals are intelligent, have facial expressions and have the ability to speak and walk in an upright position. We enjoy the arts such as crafts, music and live theater. Isn't that what most high brow aristocrats do with their pinky finger raised as they drink a 'spot of tea?' Now tell me, that sounds like a normal person right? We enjoy things that most people enjoy; we just like it with a bit more fur. This article by BBC Who are the furries? seems to sum it up pretty nicely. (and won an award for doing so!!!)
But let me ask you this: Should someone be let go from his or her place of employment for being a furry? Now before you tell me "I've seen that CSI episode" I have something to let you know about that episode: THAT's NOT how we act at ALL. That is a misconception that the media likes to portray us as some sex crazed orgy-having foxes. This has led to a mistrust of the media and why conventions like Rainfurrest and Anthrocon have banned the media in their convention.
My point is, if you fire someone for loving a hobby that is different from what you believe in, maybe you should ask the person more about the said hobby and not assume things such as we’re all just sex crazed gussied up foxes looking for a hole to go yiff in.

Posted 14 years agoSo this is our second year at rainfurrest and seeing people from last year has made me happy. Of course I still get wet seeing all the awesome furries but I can't lust over them like I used to as I am a married fur now and have my own furry man :p
This year was also Ariana's second year at the con as well. She is such a social butterfly and the life of the party. Some of her favorite panels were the pony panel which discussed the generations of My Little Pony and then included information on MLP: FiM. (look it up). Saturday was filled with bullets and zombies. Not actual bullets but Nerf bullets which were spread around the ball room at the Hilton Hotel in Sea-Tac. I am quite sure that there are few suction cup bullets in the chandelier that probably won't be found until we furs are LONG gone. We also ventured to the Women's High Tea which was in a suite in the actual hotel. It wasn't in the programming so there wasn't a lot in the way of females there. We enjoyed talking about the fandom and eating chili, punch and muddy buddies. Ariana got to perform one of her songs she sang in choir last year fittingly called Don't Laugh at Me. Everyone enjoyed it and praised her for her skills.
Later in the evening, we ventured to the Emerald room where the bronies were out in full force. We had a chance to watch the first two episodes of the 2nd season on a big screen. This was exciting to say the least. The best part was that they fed us cupcakes and muffins. They also had what I thought was chicken but someone had made it clear that it was Gilda
All and all, we had a great time and we are looking to next year's theme which is Weird Science/Steampunk. See you all at rainfurrest 2012!
Also, going to submit commissions to mitti for custom pony badges!!!!!!!!!

Posted 15 years agoSo I work at a place that allows me to have a lot of down time. I have been recently using the presents that I received for yule this last year and putting them to good use. I am drawing a lot of different animals and am afraid I want to put all of them up here but am unsure of what people will think of my hand drawn aminals.
