I've been so awesomely busy lately. Working a lot, summer school, and everything in between. I can't wait to get back to art, but I fear I won't be able to for a few months. Big big stuff coming up, and it should be a very awesome school semester. If all goes well, I should be able to graduate and get my degree, which will free up sooooo much time. Actually, it might not, if I get a career-type job. Oh jeez, that's kinda scary. Oh well, maybe I can squeeze some sketches in for consistency's sake.

I got drunk with my ex-girlfriend and went to see JCVD. it was pretty damn awesome.

It's kinda weird how everyone on FA has been so kind and supportive of my art, and as soon as i put something on fchan to see what they think, I get slammed as being a Po-ju/Onta/matoc rip-off. They say I do it because it will grant me instant fame because Po-ju is a "gay maestro".

Can I help it if those artists have the only style that turns me on? Cute + Sexy is a fucking hot combination in my opinion. I don't much like big hunky dudes, so cute girly boys is what's right for me. The aforementioned artists weren't the first to draw in that style either, and I mean no offense to them. Mogli from Disney's The Jungle Book was one of my first boy-crushes.

If you look at artists throughout history, everyone has taken from everyone. Plus, these are my very first pieces of furry art and I don't consider my style to be fleshed out yet. I can only hope that in time, my art will still remain cute and sexy, but with my own style.

ALSO, I had lost my Wacom pen for the last couple of weeks, but I just found it!! Can't wait to finish up a piece i've been working on.

almost immediately after my last journal I got my, lets say, mojo, back. tons of ideas are flowing and i actually feel like drawing them.

i think i was just super extremely stressed over the passed week. lots of work and school.

so all i was able to finish was the colored version of the piece i already have. i don't know what it is, but i SUCK at coloring a piece. i mean, sure i can do flat colors and make it look good, and that works for a certain look, but i lack the variance that an accomplished artist would have. i know that obviously in time i can improve, but it just feels like I've been at it for a while and have not much to show for it.

or maybe it's because I am an animator first and foremost, and we don't do lots of pretty blended art pieces. oh well. i really don't know if i even have the patience to sit on a single piece for 8 hours.
