My First YCH Auction is Open!
Posted 3 years agoA first time for doing one of these, but always was curious, so yeah!
Usually I'm super busy with the comics and stuff, but I'm making lots of traveling plans for this year (finally!) so I gave it a try. If you want to check it out, please go here!
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46.....#cid:162725515
Depending of how it go, I might try more of these in the future. Let me know what kind of thing you'd like me to offer too. I'm still learning. :D

The Florida Adventure
Posted 4 years agoAfter almost two years of posponing plans, I decided this year to start traveling again!
In 2020 wrecked our trip to Japan and I was stuck in Florida for 4 months. It wasn't bad, but I barely did any sightseen since everything was closed. That is why this year the plan was to go back there, and have a propper Floridian Vacation!
I have to thank my pan Nekonny to again taking me in an joining me for a week long vacation. We tried to do everything we couldn't last year, and much more, and I gotta say everything went swimingly.
Now that I'm back, the only problem is trying to go back to my ol' regular life. XD

2020 Was Something
Posted 5 years agoHello there, everyone!
So it's not a mystery that I rarely update my journals here, so I better get at least a new one in before the year is over, haha.
I'm sure this has been an eventul year for everyone. Back in March I was super stocked that my years-in-the-planing trip to Japan was happening, and it did, but only for 5 days out of the 14 it should have lasted. Thanks to the pandeming, we had to return in a rush and everyone got back to their countries safely.
Everyone but me.
As luch would have it, my country had the bright idea to lock its borders, but didn't botter to help its citizens abroad to return home (like most others did) so I found myself stuck in the USA. I gotta forever thank my friend Ron for giving me a place to stay until I could return, which wouldnt happen after four months later...
So now we're in July and I was finally able to go back. It wasnt all bad, though. I got to hang out with my pal and decided to get something out of the whole situation by buying miself a Cintiq and carry it with me back home, plus we had a lot of fun there, always keeping social distance and all that, of course.
Now the year is almost over and hoping for a things to improve in the new one. There were a lot of cancelled plans this year, but I intend to make up for all the lost time! In the meantime, I wish you happy holidays and stay safe.
Until 2021!

Going Back Home
Posted 5 years agoIn case you missed it, heres a recap!
I planned a trip to Japan with my friends this past March, but then the Covid Nation attacked and we were forced to cut it short and I had to stay with a friend of mine in the USA, as I found myself the only one unable to return home, due to my country stopping all flights.
Thanks to my friend, I was able to update the comic and keep myself occupied, but after four long months, I finally got a spot on a special flight tomorrow Monday (13th) so it seems I finally be able to return home!
I still don't know what the quarentine process will be. In the worst case I will be isolated for a couple of weeks or more. In the best scenario they will let me quarentine home; but even if that's the case, I want to take extra precautions so I don't expose anyone from my family.
All of this pretty much translates to that I may be unable to work for some time. I'll update on my situation when I can, so please be patient if I'm unable to work on any updates. Be sure that after all of this is finally over, I'll Las Lindas and everything else will return to normal.
Until then, thanks for the support, everyone. I'll see soon!

Life Update
Posted 5 years agoIt's hard to believe that its been over three months since I left home for my trip to Japan that sadly was cut short and one the way back I was unable to return to my country due to the airport being closed.
I will be eternaly greatful to my friend Nekonny for offering me his place to stay during all this. Thanks to him I been able to keep arting away from home and I been trying to keep the show going, altough its hard sometimes.
Sorry for the slow updaes. These times are stressing for everyone and I'm no exception, so I been trying to balance work with more personal art or just take some time off.
Thank you for your understanding!

Life Update
Posted 5 years agoHello everyone!
As you may or may have not heard, this whole pandemic affected me just like everyone else. With the difference that I was out of my country when it really went bad and they closed the borders, making it difficult to make it back home for the time being.
It's not so bad, though. My friend Ron offered me a place to stay while we wait for the quarentine pass over. IN the meantime, he managed to set me up with an spare laptop, so I'm trying to do some art and work during this time.
Still, actual work for my Patreon will be slow, if not absent during this month, but I'll try to work on some updates or try to do commissions or other stuff to keep me busy.
I hope everyone is taking care of themselves and their loved ones. Stay safe and see ya around!
PD: NOT an April Fools joke or anything. Just happened to write it today. haha

Travel Times!
Posted 5 years agoHey, everyone!
As many of you probably saw, I been doing stream funds with my pals for a trip to Japan we been planning for a while (the adoptables idea was one of the ideas I had for raising funds, and I still might try it in the future) and well, the time for the trip is almost here and boy, I am excited!
Well, you can say its combination of excitement, anxiety with a bit of fear. I always get a bit of each everything I travel, but you can imagine those feelings are a bit amplified with the current health situation happening worldwide.
Despite all the panic and concerns, all of us are moving forward with this trip. Not that we dont think the situation is important, but we believe things should be alright as long we make sure to follow the basic precautions. But even with that, there's no way to know how things will pan out, so wish us luck!

Adoptables Maybe?
Posted 6 years agoSo I been thinking in trying some things like YCHs and adoptables. I'm pretty new to either of those, but I see many artist offering them, so I wanted to give them a try.
What do you think? Is that something you all may be interested in? Because I do have some fun ideas I'll like to try. :)

Comic Hiatus
Posted 6 years agoHey there.
Just letting everyone know that I'm taking some time off from comics. I been having a bit of a burnout lately so I decided to take this time to rest and do other things.
Hopefully it won't take long for me to get back on my fit and continue with the main updates. Thanks for for your patience. :)

AC 2019 was a Blast
Posted 6 years agoI got to meet a lot of both new and old people and in general had a great time.
Like usual, it was very tiring, running from one place to another before even the con started, trying to get everything prepared and ready to go. Funny thing is that I actually got some rest while the con was going on, sitting at my table. I only wish I could have had more time to walk around and enjoy things, but I can't complain. All in all it was the most fun con I had so far.
Thank you to everyone that stopped by and bought stuff of commission me. It meant a lot!
Sadly, I got the con crud, so now I'm mostly lying in bed, not being able to work... Oh well.

AC 2019
Posted 6 years agoYup, I'm going to Antrocon this year too.
Since the first time I went a couple of years ago, it has become kind of a tradition I want to keep as long as possible.
This year I'm gonna be traveling with even more friends, some who I havent seen in like 10 years. It will be a blast.
I couldn't make much merch since having a table was kind of a surprise, but I managed to put together a small sexy book to sell and maybe other goodies.
If you're going, feel free to stop by. See you all there!

Thanks for following my shenanigans for almost half of that many years. I hope I can keep doing this for many years more. Bye!

Chalo at MFF 2018
Posted 7 years agoJust a reminder that I will be attending MFF for the first time this year!
It's been a busy year, having gone to AC earlier this year and now preparing for MFF too has lead me a bit tired, but very eager to for my first visit, for a number of reasons.
First, of course, for the chance to meet all the artists that usually go there instead of AC. Second, it will be my first time experiencing winter in the USA. I never seen snow in my life, so I hope I get to see it!
I just hope I can survive the cold!
So if you're interesting in saying hi and maybe buy a sticker or two, I will mainly be at The Katbox table in the Dealers' Den. Tables B25-26
Remember other Katbox artists will be there, like
and
Will I do commissions? I haven't decided yet... Being this my first MFF, I want to see as much of the con I can, but I'll try!
See you in a few days!

Posted 7 years agoAC was a blast earlier this year (sorry, forgot to comment on it as I need to remember to update my journal more oftem), but I guess I didn't have enough con time because I'm going to MFF for the firtst time this year too!
I'll probably be sitting on one of The Katbox tables along with my pals, so you'll fine me there. I can't remember the tables numbers right now, but I'll update the info when I can.
This will also be the first time I travel up there at this time of the year, and I hear it will be super cold and I'm like, not adapted to cold weather at all, That will be a cool experience, I guess! hahah
That's all for now, hope to meet some of you there!

My AC Experience
Posted 8 years agoSo this year, I went to AC for the first time.
It wasn't just my first AC, but my very first trip to the US ever. After working in comics and art for decades. I discovered and got to be part of the fandom, looking at it from a distance. internet made possible for folks like me to be part of a community even if I'm far away, and it's been great, of course, but it was still sort of disconnected experience.
But getting to meet my friends and other artists, both old and new, it was an experience I never thought I would be able to do. So I guess for me, going to AC was like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time! hehe.
It was great getting to meet old friends for the first time, as well as all the new and wonderfull people, getting pics from them and me drawing for them as well. Buying all sort of stuff and seeing all sort of things and places, and I can't thank all of them enough for making this trip so memorable.
I felt like a little kind again, and I hope to keep doing it in the future!

Posted 9 years agoJust wanted to say thanks to everyone that wished me a happy birthday. And of course, to those that drew me those wonderful pictures. Thank you very much!
So I'm 40 now. Yep. So I guess that as part of my middle age crisis I would want to do some of the cool things youngsters do like play videogames and draw some stuff... Oh wait. I already doing that.
Nevermind then! haha. XD

Katbox Cares! Help a Fellow Artist
Posted 10 years agoHello everyone!
I don't make journal posts very oftem, but this is one of those special occasions, because I want you to focus your attention for a bit on the crowfunding campaing we at Katbox are doing to help a fellow artist.
As you may or may not know,
Avencri , the autor of The Eye of Ramalach is going through some serious medical expenses due to a family member getting very ill, and it's in a serious debt.
Check the full story HERE: https://www.youcaring.com/hugo-arra.....-garcia-493631
I'll be spreading the word around as much as possible, and also will set up a commission auction here in FA (still working out the ideas for it) to help raise funds for the campaing. I invite you to help a fellow artist out, either by donating or spreading the word as much as you can. Please contribute so a great artist can keep doing following his dreams. Every bit counts!
Thank you very much for your time, and keep an eye on future auctions from me soon!
