For a long time I have considered a major name change. The main reason for this is I want to grow as an artist and having a name which I've gone by since 17(?) didn't really fit the bill. I could no longer explain why I went as 'Chromey/Chromium', so I felt it was time to move on.

My new account is  cuon.alpinus

I'm not going anywhere other than a new account, I have no problem with friends still calling me chromey (I am still using the character, although I need a new ref sheet) and I will continue to draw and attend conventions as an artist.

Again, this is just how I'm improving myself and moving forward to this being a career.

Anthrocon was a blast! It was a bit overwhelming at some parts especially compared to last year, but overall was a wonderful con. I was happy to see a lot of people, even those who I haven't seen in several years and didn't expect to have come by my table, and awesome artists and other dealers being kind and awesome as well. It's a con I will continue to attend for sure.

Thanks to everyone who has commissioned me, I am looking forward to working on the work which I had taken home with me. My wrist is getting a lot better, I just take breaks before it gets too shaky and affects my ability to draw.

I am open for additional commissions, and those who are waiting on art from Furthemore will have their pieces by the end of this month according to my 60 day rule, and work from Anthrocon will be completed by the end of August. Thanks everyone!

Aside from an infection in my arm that is improving, the wound on my dominant hand is doing well. I can draw for short amounts of time, a little a day. Trying not to get too behind. There are a few things that are taking priority since they have been waiting so long. All work from furthemore is also going to be on time, sticking to the within 60 days completion after the con despite the injury :)

I might even finally make summer themed icons! haha

Tonight I was injured at work in a way which left me with stitches in the wrist of my dominant hand. I'm okay, but will not be able to draw until this heals up.

Just a notice! I'll probably be back to it in a week or so.

Last weekend I attended Furthemore as a dealer (it was a good con despite some problems, which honestly werent the cons fault at all).

One of my display binders is missing.

It is black, hardcover, and has a few pieces of art in it with my signature. The binder itself was the best one I had, and one of the pieces of art I have no scan of. I hope that it was just picked up by accident, not stolen, so I am asking if anyone may have ended up with it. I noticed it missing on Saturday, right after I had left my table to fix a computer problem. The same day my tablet died, which I already had to spend a large sum to replace, so I hope that the binder will turn up and not need replacing as well.

Commissioners watch your inbox there is a lot of updates coming. I finally got a break in hours at my job, and can regularly produce art again.

I am working through answering emails and such, but for now I figured I would post an update journal.

Recently I had been hired at a job which was advertised as part time, but I've been there far more than that! Which is good in a sense, but I have been struggling to balance my time between work, school, and art. I am painfully behind on homework (which I am working on right now), but I assure that nobody has been forgotten about. My job and school need to take priority at this time until I adjust to my new schedule, and I apologize for the silence.

There are other reasons for my lack of productivity related to health, and that is being worked on as well.

As always, I have NO problems issuing a refund if you would rather not wait until I can catch up. I do not have an eta at this time, I'd hate to make a promise for a date and be unable to keep it. So I will continue to pick away at things I owe and those of you who are waiting on an update. Because of this situation even if I had given you a sketch I will still give a full refund. No hard feelings!

I will also be at Furthemore and Anthrocon this year, confirmed as of today.

EDIT: Spring icons may end up being delayed, if it comes to it they may spill over into summer icons of some sort. Sorry about that, I know a lot of you were looking forward to them! (It's difficult to think up a spring type icon anyway, I want to animate them for you guys!)

I'm working through a long term paper type project for one of my classes... I'm still around! Just trying to keep up with my courses :) I expect to be caught up in the next few days then I can sit down and answer messages.

I may retire the snowing icons soon unless someone was interested, and I have to come up with something for upcoming spring! I was wondering if you guys had any ideas of what you'd like to see animated for a spring icon :)

I made a mistake and seem to have come up short on a bill this month. I'd hate to be one of those people posting about 'emergency commissions' but I gotta get this paid!

actually, it's just the last week of my online classes. I'll be spending the better part of this week finishing up projects for two classes and writing a paper, so updates will be a little sparse.

dont worry I'll still be working on art, its far more pleasing than writing essays.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has followed me the past few weeks, I'm really excited to continue working on larger pieces and projects. Up until this point I mostly did badges and other small pictures for several years, it feels good to start to break free of that.

Sorry it took me so long!

Things have been a bit busy for me, but there are several things almost finished that I can't wait to post!

In my free time lately I've been thinking of what to draw and what mediums to use. What do you guys like to see? More digital? Traditional? Content? I wanna know! :)
