La comunidad de protectores de animales de México se encuentra de luto ante el acto de abuso brutal y violación de todos los derechos individuales y humanos cometido contra Javier Cervantes −protector de animales− y los perros y gatos que albergaba, que perpetró un grupo anónimo de vecinos del lugar y con la aprobación tácita de las autoridades tanto del municipio de Jaltenco y del propio Estado de México.

Javier había recogido y dado hogar temporal a cerca de 80 perros y gatos de la calle (todos ellos esterilizados y vacunados), por lo que sus furiosos vecinos le exigieron en varias ocasiones que se fuera de ahí de inmediato o que matarían a sus animales. Javier estaba buscando otro lugar al cual mudarse y, de hecho, unos días antes del sanguinario ataque consiguió apoyo económico para construir una barda que mantendría a salvo a sus perros y gatos dentro del terreno que le fue regalado para este propósito.

Sin embargo, el pasado 23 de febrero las amenazas contra Javier se cumplieron: un grupo de hombres encapuchados irrumpió en el departamento de Javier y mató brutalmente, con machetes, pistolas y tubos a un número de perros y gatos.

Héctor José Urdapilleta, un amigo de Javier Cervantes, hizo un relato detallado de la masacre:

“Me llamó Javier para decirme que un vecino le había avisado que estaban matando a sus perros. Corrí hasta el departamento de Javier y fuí recibido por personas de negro, encapuchados, con armas largas, machetes, y tubos. Les pedí que dejaran de golpear y
machetear a los perros. Eres el dueño de los perros?, no, pero son de un amigo y vine a ver que pasaba. En ese momento me metieron al departamento y me empezaron a golpear con los tubos y a patadas. Sabes que estás metido en un grave problema, me dijeron los encapuchados, al mismo tiempo que me tiraron donde estaban agonizantes los perros. Alcance a ver a Tomás un perro que gritaba desgarradoramente por el dolor de sus heridas. Alcancé a ver a otro perrito que al huir, de un machetazo le cortaron una patita y a pesar de eso siguió corriendo. ‘Eso es lo que quieres, pues eso tendrás’, y me aventaron sobre los perros masacrados. Me oyeron llorar por no poder hacer nada por los perros. Les grité a los vecinos, y todos se quedaron callados. Afuera estaban policías municipales impidiendo entrar a nadie. Junto con los animales destrozados, me subieron a una camioneta y no me permitían subir la cabeza, con las botas me la bajaban, quedando totalmente empapado en sangre de los perros. Al ver llegar policía estatal, sentí un gran alivio, pensé que me rescatarían, tengo muchos amigos en la policía estatal, pero no hicieron nada. Me amarraron con cinta canela los pies y manos y me llevaron al Ministerio Público, quien no encontró ninguna razón para consignarme, por lo que me volvieron a subir a la camioneta y me fueron a tirar hasta una pequeña barranca no muy lejos de aquí. Desde ahí me regresé caminando y aunque son las dos de la mañana, estoy vivo.”

Sabemos que nuestro país se está convirtiendo en una “tierra sin ley”, pero haremos todos los esfuerzos posibles para lograr que se haga justicia a esos infortunados animales masacrados, a su traumatizado protector −cuyas pertenencias también fueron dañadas− y a Héctor José quien intentó defende con valor a los animales frente a una cuadrilla de asesinos enmascarados y un vecindario cómplice.

The Animal Rights and Animal Protection community in Mexico is dismayed by the act of brutal abuse and violation of all individual and human rights against Javier Cervantes −a humanitarian activist− and his sheltered animals that was perpetrated by an anonymous group of neighbors under the tacit approval of the authorities of both the municipality of Jaltenco and the State of Mexico.

Javier provided temporary shelter to almost 80 street dogs and cats −all of them spayed and vaccinated−, so his infuriated neighbors had demanded him to leave his house immediately or they would kill his animals. He was therefore looking for a new place to live, and a few days before the sanguinary attack he had indeed obtained financial support to build a surrounding wall that would keep his dogs and cats safe within a terrain that had been given to him for this purpose.

However, last February 23rd threatens against Javier were served: a group of hooded men burst into Javier’s dwelling and brutally killed with machetes, shotguns, and pipes a number of dogs and cats.

Héctor Jose Urdapilleta, a friend of Javier Cervantes, gave us a detailed account of the massacre:

“Javier phoned me to let me know that a neighbor of his had reached him and told him that some men were killing his dogs. I ran to Javier’s house and was received by men wearing black clothes, with ski masks covering their faces, with shotguns, machetes and pipes. I pleaded to them to stop beating and butchering the dogs. They asked me if I was the owner of the dogs, and I said no, that I am the friend of the owner. They started beating me with the pipes and, when I fell to the ground, kept kicking me. They told me I was in deep trouble, and then threw me where several of the dogs were agonizing. I was able to see Tomás, one of the older dogs, which was crying in agony due to the injuries it had received. I also saw another one of the dogs whose leg had just been cut by a machete, but she was still running trying to get away from her killers. “If this is what you want, this is what you will get”, one of the masked men told me, and then threw me over a pile of butchered animals. They heard me cry since there was nothing I could do to save these defenseless animals. I screamed, I begged, I called out to the neighbors who stood watching in silence. Outside, I could see the local police preventing anyone else from coming inside, doing nothing to stop the killings. The masked men took all the dead dogs and cats and threw them and me inside a van. They did not let me see where we were going. They used their boots to keep my head on the floor of the van, covered with the dogs’ blood. When I saw the State Police arrive I felt relieved, I thought I would be saved, but they did nothing. My wrists and legs were tied with duck tape and I was taken to a police station (MP), where they found no reason to lock me up. I was taken again to the van and dumped in an open field far away. I walked back from there, and although it is now 2 am, I am alive."

WE ASK THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY’S SUPPORT TO DEMAND THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MEXICO, ENRIQUE PEÑA NIETO, TO CONDEMN THIS ATROCIOUS ACTION AND FILE CHARGES AGAINST THOSE RESPONSIBLE OF AN UNBEARABLE AND INEXCUSABLE CRIME AGAINST TWO INNOCENT MEN AND A GROUP OF HELPLESS ANIMALS, SOME OF THEM OLD, BLIND, OR IN RECOVERY.

We know our country is gradually becoming a “town with no law,” but we will make every effort possible to get justice for the brutal death of those unfortunate animals, his traumatized caregiver −whose belongings were also smashed−, and Héctor’s heroic act of defense before a coward horde of masked murderers and an accomplice neighborhood.

En ce moment ils m'ont mise au département et mo'ils ont commencé à des à frapper avec les tubes et à des repoussements. Tu sais que tu es mis dans un problème grave, ils m'ont dit ce qui est encapuchonnés, en même temps qu'ils m'ont jetée où étaient agonisants les chiens. Portée à voir à des Prises un chien qui criait desgarradoramente par la douleur de ses blessures. J'ai parvenu à voir à autre perrito qu'en s'enfuyant, d'un machetazo ils lui ont coupé un patita et malgré cela il a continué à courir. `Cela l'est ce que tu veux, parce que cela tendrás', et m'ont éventée sur les chiens masacrados. Ils m'ont entendue pleurer pour ne pas pouvoir faire rien par les chiens. Je ai crié aux voisins, et tous s'sont étés faits taire. Dehors des policiers municipaux empêchaient d'entrer à à personne. Avec les animaux détruits, m'ont montée à une camionnette et ils ne me permettaient pas de monter la tête, avec les bottes ils me la baissaient, étant totalement trempé en sang des chiens. EN voyant arriver policier étatique, j'ai senti une grande décharge, j'ai pensé qu'ils me dégageraient, j'ai beaucoup d'amis dans la policier étatique, mais n'ont fait rien. Mo'ils ont amarré avec ruban cannelle les pieds et les mains et ils m'ont emmenée au Ministère Public, celui qui n'a trouvé aucune raison pour me consigner, ce pourquoi mo'ils ont monté à nouveau à la camionnette et mo'ils ont très allé jeter jusqu'à un petit ravin non loin d'ici. Depuis là je me suis retourné en marchant et bien qu'ils soient les deux heures du matin, je suis vivant. »

Dear Mr. Villaraigosa and dear Mr. Obama,

News website terra.com published an article in which they reveal Mexican appointed president, Felipe Calderón, has been spying on the communications between elected officials close to President Obama, and representatives of Legitimate President of Mexico Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

According to the article, the Mexican intelligence agency Centro de Investigación y Seguridad Nacional (CISEN), has been collecting profiles for the following elected officials:

1. Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles
2. Hilda L Solís, Congresswoman and Mr. Obama's pick for Labor Secretary
3. Linda Sánchez, Congresswoman
4. Joe Baca, Congressman
5. Trey Martínez Fisher, Congressman

Also mentioned in CISEN's report is Mr. Obama's campaign representative, Cuauhtemoc Figueroa.

As Mexicans, we are disgusted and ashamed of this type of behavior by the appointed government. Not only is the Mexican government using public funding for spying on an honest opposition figure, such as Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, but it is also spying on our neighbor without any real reason for doing so.

Worse yet: Calderon is spying on members of your congress while at the same time asking for congressional funds for the so-called Merida Initiative. Shouldn't he be actually fighting organized crime instead of spying on Lopez Obrador and Barack Obama?

We urge you to please publicly reject the Mexican government's spying activities. The Mexican people do not agree with Calderon's political spying. We believe in respect between the nations, not in the fascist methods of political espionage.

"Why is Barack Obama meeting with somebody like Felipe Calderon?"

"Dear Mr. Obama,

I'm writing you on behalf of the Mexican people. The Mexican government has been insisting quite a bit on letting everybody know that you will be meeting with appointed president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, on Monday, January 12.

As concerned Mexicans who supported your presidential campaign in the hope of bringing change not just to the USA, but to the world, we simply can't understand why are you meeting with Calderon. Don't you know who he is? Here are some facts:

1. In 2006 Calderón launches a smear campaign against left-wing presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Much like the smear campaign John McCain used against you.

2. Just a few days before the presidential election, Calderon meets in secret with former Central America guerrillas who murdered people in places like El Salvador. To this day Calderon has not revealed why was he meeting with them. The meeting was reported by El Universal newspaper here:

3. Calderon and his political right-winf party, the PAN, perpetrate an electoral fraud to steal the Mexican presidency. A court ends up appointing Calderon after refusing to do a vote recount, much like the Supreme Court did with George W Bush un 2000. The complete details of this fraud can be seen in the documentary FRAUDE: Mexico 2006 (you can find a copy in the US with subtitles.)

4. Almost immediately after taking the office he did not win in the elections, Calderon launches a "war against drug traffic" in a desperate attempt at trying to legitimize his electoral fraud. The "war" has not solve the drug problem in Mexico. On the contrary; it duplicated the amount of violence in Mexico in just one year. 2008 saw twice as many deaths related to crime than the previous year, which also had an increment in crime-related deaths.

5. That in itself is a problem. But to make it even worse, hundreds of those deaths have been innocent civilians. Many of them, on top of it, were murdered by the Mexican military at the checkpoints ordered by Calderon in different cities throughout Mexico. Two cases are particularly horrid. One in the state of Sinaloa, where the army fired against a truck with an entire family, killing almost all of them--including women and children. When the wounded were taken to the hospital by other family members, the military did everything they could to keep them from reaching the hospital promptly. As a result, most of the wounded died. Some say the army did this to make sure there were no survivors who could testify against them. This incident took place in May of 2007. 6. Another inciden ot murder by the Mexican army under Calderon: On december 12, 2008, the Mexican army opens fire against a pregnant woman in the state of Chihuahua. One of the many news articles on the incident can be read here:

7. Inbetween these two incidents of outright murder by the army commanded by Calderon, presidential elections in the USA took place. Calderon did not support you, Mr. Obama. He supported your rival, John McCain. On a radio interview he declared point blank that McCain "knows Mexico better". This was interpreted as an obvious endorsement of McCain. By the way: the exact same day German Martinez, president of the PAN party--and one of Calderon's puppets--published an op-ed piece in El Universal newspaper in which he too endorsed McCain. At the end of his op-ed piece he said: "Obama or McCain? Whoever doesn't mess with NAFTA". Martinez meant McCain, of course, as he refused to revise NAFTA. 8. Back to the issue of the murders perpetrated by the army under Calderon, on Friday, January 9, Calderon ordered his team of diplomats to lie about the deaths. He told them to deny that civilians were being massacred in the streets of Mexico so as to create the idea of a Mexico in which the government was simple "cleaning house." 9. But the truth is Calderon has instated a policy of repression in Mexico in which not even high school students can practice their right to freedom of speech. In 2008, Calderon ordered the army to arrest a high school student who won an award for acadamic excellence simply because he called Calderon "spurious" publicly. A second studen was also arrested for shouting "Freedom? What Freedom?" in front of Calderon. When he asked why was he being arrested, the army answered him "ask you fucking conscience." I ask again: is this the person you are meeting with, Mr. Obama?

Now, you may remember vicepresident Al Gore did not want to meet with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, another right-wing latinamerican president. Uribe is pretty much the same as Calderon. Why do you want to meet with him, then? Aren't you aware that in doing so you are merely helping HIM to try to legitimize his electoral fraud? Because, quite frankly, you are not getting anything out of this meeting. Calderon just wants to take a picture with you.

If you do allow Caldron to take that picture with you, Mr. Obama, you will no longer be seen in Mexico and many countries around the world as a symbol of change, but as yet another American President with the same agenda as George W. Bush. Is that really what you want? To waste away the hard work of millions of people to get you elected President in the hope of REAL change? To confirm that your "change" was nothing but fairy tale?

I urge you, Mr. Obama, NOT to meet with Felipe Calderon. Do not help somebody who is responsible for murder and repression in Mexico. That is not who you are. Let Bush meet with Calderon if he wants to. But don't bismirch you own reputation by allowing somebody who is behind the murder of innocent--people and who wasn't even elected by the Mexican people--to take a picture with you. The people who supported you in Mexico, in the US, and around the world, deserve better than that.

Dear friend Furries,

In recent weeks the Mexican government orchestrated a massive media campaign to convince the Mexican people that PEMEX (the mexican oil company) should be open to private capital in order to overcome a "serious crisis" affecting the company. On April 8th the government sent to the Mexican Senate a proposal that encapsulates the ambitions
of the parties in power (the PAN and PRI) to achieve the privatization of PEMEX.

There is a large sector of the mexican society that categorically rejects the arguments of the government. Most of mexican people know that the arguments presented by Mr Calderon (the espurio "president"?? of Mexico) to privatize PEMEX are pure manipulation and lies. The real intention of the government is to create a net of corruption to allow companies such as Exxon and Rapsol and Halliburton to have quick a cheap access to the mexican oil. For this reason, the mexican civil society has organized a very large movement of civil resistance to defend PEMEX and the mexican oil. This movement is peaceful and does not accept any kind of violence.

The ambitions of foreign companies and government officials are not a matter of opinion, but a fact. This is supported by a very large amount of evidence linking government officials to foreign oil companies from the US and Spain. All the evidence is available in the form of documents and videos that have been presented to the government instances such as the Senate and the secretaria de governacion (similar to thee US Department of State).

Unfortunately, all mexican institutions (the Congress, The Executive and the Supreme Court) have been hijacked by a group of people that is not interested in protecting the Mexican people but in foreign and personal interests.

The only option for our people comes in the form of pacific civil resistance to force the government to withdraw the privatization proposal. The civil resistance is organized in brigades of women and men decided to to good for our country. However we are very concernid that the government could unleash a wave of repression and a campaign
of "Terrorismo Mediatico" against mexican people. As a matter of fact, large part of the country is militarized. I decided to contact you so you are aware of what is happening in
Mexico and ask you to be alert and report any injustices that may occur as a consequence of the pacific actions of the mexican civil resistance movement. We will post videos, images, and texts in services like youtube as the agressions of the government take place.

We hope that this will not happen, but at the same time we are not very optimistic.

Just to give an example, many streets near the Mexican Congress and Senate been blocked with a large number with armed troopers. This is a very clear violation of the 11th article of the Mexican Constitution which guarantees free access to public places.

As of today the corporate media has labeled the success of the civil brigades to resist repression a coup-d'etat. We are very concernid that this may signal a military intervention and covered violence against a truly peaceful civil movement.

Mexico is now a war zone. The Calderon government has weakened significantly and is desperate. It has persisted in its imbecile attempt to privatize the national oil company, PEMEX, which right now contributes 40% of the national budget. The intent of Calderon is to “share” this wealth with the usual gang of thieves –Shell, Exxon, Repsol, Halliburton, Schlumberger—etc. As a result of that, the Mexican People will suddenly see their taxes doubled –Calderon has to make up its budget shortfall. The Mexican People’s hopes of prosperity will dashed as all the oil revenues which right now go into health care, roads, education (all of which have serious shortfalls because of Calderon’s corruption), etc., will end up in some Houston fat cat’s pocket.

THE MEXICAN PEOPLE WILL NOT STAND MEEKLY AND LET CALDERON TAKES THIS ACTION.

The Mexican People have already organizad themselves in citizen brigades ready to take peaceful civil resistance actions. In return the government will unleash its storm troopers and riot squads against the defenceless population.

AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THIS.

Welcome then, to Mexico 2008, a war zone.

Hy there a site very interesting to all yours http://www.comicstoykyo3.com.mx there I put a comic with the story calls "A story to albedo" but this comic was a project and a gift to albedo,but never was published ,but i become this story in spanish to mexico,comicstokyo3 gave me a place to put this comic, i'm sorry but this comic are in spanish I made it with a purpose of show what is the furry? to mexico,with this story of that there a new way of see the comic called furry,that aren't always to kids n' that too are to adults,this type of story are so rares in mexico the mexican always love the "manga and anime" and the animal catoon called disney, but the fans mexican ignores this art type called "Furry n' Kemono" just know of them only for the internet =/,why in this site, well
they sell , comics new 'n old , pins,toys but also speak about comics, there reports and music rock mexican and also we talking about for radio internet, i just hope that like the story i know that much furries have fan mexicans that speak spanish for you as we have friend that help to us with the english =)
