Posted 12 years agoIn light of recent events, FA's long deprecated structure and design, and multiple past instances of questionable choices made by the owners and users of FurAffinity, I've decided to jump ship and move on to greener pastures.
FA has been the home for my anthro art for close to 3 years now, and although I appreciate how it has connected me to many people, I have always been dissatisfied with it's service compared to that of DeviantArt and Tumblr.
Therefore I feel it is time to start fresh and move over to Weasyl as a place to have my art.

(I didn't learn to type fast from the shit they made us do in computer class in grade school. I got fast by playing PC games and writing stuff online. Fuck you Mavis Beacon)

Don't really have anything. I did get a note one time asking me to draw a character from a children's show in a bikini one time though.

Posted 12 years agoI got my required laptop for engineering school. Got a sick deal through Amazon that ended up costing us 400$ less than the advertised price on my school's website. Thanks Dad!

Posted 12 years agoI’m going to be taking another break from drawing until I can get motivation and some practice in. When you've worked for hours on a piece and only got 6 views on it, something is seriously fucking wrong. I’m going to re-evaluate my style and techniques and return with something amazing… hopefully. Maybe I need to find a niche and grow from there, or maybe the style that I'm trying to evolve into isn't as likable as my previous.

My 2012
Posted 13 years agoI thought it would be better if instead of doing just a personal retrospective, I'd also throw my tops and bottoms of 2012 in as well. I can't really remember certain events by month, so this might be a bit disjointed.
The major things:
I moved! After living my entire life in my old house, we had to move 15 minutes away to a new house that was in the middle of renovation. Oddly enough though, I was never upset by it. I love my new WIP house. Its fun watching it evolve.
In 2012 I also fell in love. That's as many details as I'm giving now.
Right so bests of 2012:
Games: I should have bought some games. I really missed out on so many titles this year. If I had to pick what I played the most though it would be Ace of Spades Classic. It was a wonderfully paced FPS that was bought out buy Jagex and turned into a crude blocky TF2. The classic version however is now community ran and extremely fun. Next year I'll hopefully not skimp out on so many good games. I seem to have skipped over one of gaming's greatest years. I really regret it.
Best Movie: Looper
Favorite Albums: Relativity 1/Relativity 2 - Lemaitre & Album Title Goes Here - deadmau5
Worst Songs: Gangnam Style, Call me maybe, tonight.
Yeah.
Oh and my resolution is to get off my ass and get a job so I can actually buy those games.

Posted 13 years agoThat whole 5 people drawing thing didn't help me get back into drawing. I really don't know where to go from here. Everytime I picked up the pencil I just hated what I drew. Its shit really. So instead I am going to focus on more alternative forms of art besides furry art. Hopefully then I can slop back into it. I do have some good stuff though.

School. School has been taking up most of my time recently. I've had projects and papers due non-stop these past few months.
Couple that with the fact that I kind of lost interest in drawing. I've drawn off and on but once again I have started to dislike my own style of drawing. It also doesn't help that I realized I may have bought a shitty tablet, as I am just not getting the results I expected with it. It feels sloppy and harder to work with than just pencil and paper.
I do have one good drawing that I will post soon, just have to reboot into windows to do it. It's sort of Pokemon Related. I played through Diamond and right now am trying to beat the Elite Four in Fire Red. (Why do I always pick a water type for my starter?)
Speaking of which, I installed Ubuntu 12.10, and have been running that for the last month. It only makes me realize how slow Windows was. You can see a post on my time with it here:

Going to be refurbishing my phone myself this weekend, or as soon as my tools arrive. The screen is acting up on it. Then I am going to give it to my Mom and get the new Nexus 4 for Christmas. A phone with 2 Gigs of Ram and a Quad-core Processor :o
I may or may not have hooked up with someone.
I've forgotten pretty much everything else I was going to talk about.
Oh right, the Minecraft Skins everyone has been requesting. I can't do them anytime soon. I just really can't focus on them. I've also noticed that my current skins look a bit like ass. I have a new style that I am working on, however.
The new Youtube is... Bad. Why would you push everything to the left side of the screen? Why is there no contrast between anything? Why is everything so clumped together? Why is the large player not as big as it used to be? Where is the AWESOME color scheme from the Cosmic Panda update? Why force people to use G+ when Youtube shouldn't be a Social network? I like G+ but I don't want my Profile picture being used in the comments section from hell on Youtube.
Yeah I think that's everything on my mind right now. Donno.

Posted 13 years agoI got my learner's Permit! I can drive! :D (It's still scary as hell to me. I think my friend's quote "It's not about the driving part, it's the fear of not knowing where the hell I am.")
I got the new Nexus 7 tablet for school. Holy hell. If you are looking for an amazing tablet, GET THIS. Android Jellybean is Super fucking smooth and it's got so much horsepower behind it. I haven't even felt the need to root it as it's just so beautiful and bloat free on stock.
I did pick up a bluetooth keyboard for it however, as I plan to use it for school. This gon be gud. It's Motorola's main keyboard they are selling, don't know the model.
Art wise I have been experimenting with a bunch of different styles, and have decided to stay with my current one. Sorry if my gallery has been lacking in new stuff lately.
My HTC EVO 4G is a 2 year old device that is still relevant enough to get Jellybean ROMS. The fucker won't die. And that's why I love it so much <3
I start school tomorrow. ah well. Poor summer.

Posted 13 years agoSometimes I can't draw. When I feel like this I feel like shit. I feel like I can't do anything and that my life is pointless. I really don't know why. There is no logical reasoning behind this. It's just one of those pet peeves I have.
Which I have been experiencing a lot lately because I am trying to experiment and find a style that works for me. I think my art sucks. People say it doesn't. It does. It sucks so much that it only gets 5 views a pop. The last decent work I posted was Crazy Duncan with a Hat. That was months ago. I can't find a single decent piece that I have submitted that wasn't an experiment. Drawing Traditional is ok but wrestling with my tablet is a fucking NIGHTMARE. I don't have the patience for it to not work the way I want it to. And when it does work the way I want it to, I can't be arsed to draw anything. What am I doing wrong? is it PaintTool SAI? Should I go back to flash? What the fuck do I focus on? HOW DO I DRAWS?!?
Not to mention the large amounts of personal shit I have been dealing with lately as well. I would rather be in school than suffer the insane amounts of counter-productivity that I display daily. I have no patience to focus on drawing unless I am medicated, but when I am medicated I am also fucking EMO.
Sometimes I just sit back and wonder how the fuck artists like RoareyRaccoon and TheDoggyGal are able to just spit out commissions like one after another like cheap plastic McDonald's toys in a fucking Chinese Factory.

Ok one thing though. This fandom has scared me away. I will continue to post as long as there is an interest in my work. If not I will leave to go to DeviantArt only. The "Furry" fandom is not really something I am proud to be a part of. It's the "Anthro" fandom I am interested in. I know that the fandom is "not all about sex" but at the same time the people saying that are into the sex shit that I quite literally DESPISE here. I keep telling myself that it is not about sex and porn and yiff and all that shit but it is really hard to do so when I go on here and /r/furry and see provocative and suggestive material all the time. It's annoying really. And now I see why my friends never talked about it.
TL;DR:
I am NOT a furry in the traditional sense.
I am a fan of Anthro artwork and an Anthro Artist.
I will post on here and DeviantArt, unless there is no interest from those here in my work.

Not going to be uploading too much stuff here that much. I have begun to drift away from this fandom. It's been pretty swell guys, but I'm no longer interested. I have a job and a design studio. I have no more intentions on drawing anthro for the sake of itself. I am a digital designer who specializes in web design and graphic advertising.
Thanks for the support. The next chapter is soon to be written, but the last chapter couldn't have been written without your help.

It's a short 3:30 minute action adventure music video to Passion Pit's "Folds in your Hands", loosely based on Survival Multiplayer in Minecraft. It stars a teenager who was killed and is reborn far away from his home. The story is him trying to get back home to his Girlfriend, while avoiding monsters and bandits the entire way.
The working title is "Lost and Found."
