Unfortunate delay
Posted 8 years agoFirst delay of The Six Realms was the fact Steam currently still uses the Greenlight system and so if you want to put a game up on there, you have to pay a submission fee of $100. I did that just yesterday. Now the hurdle is them wanting a gameplay video do go with it, so I might have to take the next few days playing the RPG myself again just to record the video for it.
Sadly this means I probably won't have the game on Greenlight by the time I have to leave for Furry Fiesta, which will be Thursday. I'll try, but most likely I'll have to get it on Greenlight sometime after I get back from TFF, so that means maybe Monday or Tuesday.
However if I can figure out how much the Intercontinental will charge for me to use their electricity at the Artist Alley (yes, that was something they tried last year as well) then I might be able to display my RPG in its completed form right there at Artist Alley for those of you that wish to stop by if you're attending.
Just a reminder, though, the game will be going up on Steam for $10, not only to pay
ortega-lion for his help making some music for the RPG, but will go towards funding the two next game projects since one will be a free to play and will be more involved than the RPG was.

Posted 8 years agoNow that the music and achievement icons are pretty much set the only thing holding up the game going to Steam Greenlight is the fact I haven't linked my business Paypal with my Business bank account, which I'm going to do ASAP. Paypal said to wait 2-3 business days to be able to do this, so let's see.
Once the game's on Steam Greenlight, I'll post another journal as well as an image notification to inform of the game being there on Steam Greenlight in case you want to support it. Also for game funding needs, I'll be activating my Patreon where you guys can help me by funding the future games, such as Tales of the Darkside, as well as get sneak peeks at what's in the works. I might need the extra help since there's a possibility TSR might not make enough money to reach my funding goals for Tales of the Darkside, so this is a backup.
The funding will help me by allowing me to hire extra animators, support artists, and even music makers that might be up to work on music for a furry Star Wars game. Plus Tales of the Darkside is going to be a free to play game, so I have to get it funded beforehand.

Update
Posted 9 years agoI didn't stream for most of this week because I had to take care of something that was causing me a bit of stress. It's pretty much dealt with now.
Also I just rescanned and updated the pics that
fredgdperry https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19393909/ and
WolfKidd https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19393850/ drew.
And as a reminder, my friend,
zillford is still up for commissions, so if you're interested, ask and I can answer some questions you may have or if you want to commission him, I can give you his email to contact him about commissions.

zillford told me that he's looking to take commissions ASAP, so if you'd like to commission him, email him over at zillfordbiz[at]gmail.com to discuss the matters of commissions. To make it easier to grab his attention be sure to have the subject of the email "Commission".Important notice regarding my streams
Posted 9 years agoWhile my net is much faster than my last one and they won't slow down or halt my net connectivity for using too much data, they will charge me for going over, charging about $3.50 for an addition 10 GB of data when I go over my limit. But due to my parents coming here this month and my mother will be staying while my father heads to Illinois, that means I might have to limit my data usage. So I'm going to have to stop my game streams until I can get an upgraded service from my ISP, which will give me faster net speed and more of a data limit.
My art streams will STILL continue however, so join in if you'd like :3

Game project update
Posted 9 years agoWell, some of you might be wondering the progress of the game projects so far.
Well, The Six Realms, my RPG project should be about finalized sometime in November of this year.
Tales of the Darkside will start being worked on pretty much as soon as The Six Realms goes live on Steam. The new playable character tally will actually be 14 characters. 6 from me, 6 from
gspanovich and one hidden character from both of us. Each character will have 6 stages to play through to tell a personal story of that character and once you beat Story Mode with that character you unlock a new stage that you can play on Free Mode. There'll also be alternate paths in the game that can only be opened if you're using a particular type of lightsaber or character that uses that lightsaber at that moment, but some of these areas are only available on a certain character's stage as other characters might not play on that stage. The game is also planned to include a co-op mode so you can play with a friend locally or through Steam and choose which of the two playing characters you play through the story of if you take on Story Mode in co-op. It'll be a fair amount of work, but for a good game, fair amount of work gives a fair amount of results.
Following Tales of the Darkside's completion, I'll finally work on the very first game of Exhibition Fighters. And you'll like what I have planned. The fighting game will still have it where 14 of the 20 playable cast will be available at the start and you have to beat the game like 6 times to get all 20 of the playable cast, but depending on how well you do, you can fight against unplayable characters, such as Master Sako Gunai, Roox's combat teacher. You'll even have access to art of these characters by myself and other artists as long as you beat the game with the character that's depicted in the artwork. I also want to have an animated introduction for both the game and each of the 20 playable characters as well as the characters' endings, complete with voice acting. You'll also have the Adventure Mode, which is a platformer styled game using the cast, following the story of the comic I'm working on for Exhibition Fighters. And as you progress through the mode's story, you'll unlock the comic pages available for reading in the gallery up to the point of the story you played to. Adventure Mode will also allow up to 4 players, so you and 3 of your friends (local or online) can tackle the story together as a team. Also, I'm thinking of including another game mode of Team Battle mode, where you can play in 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 matches with you controlling a team of fighters or have your friends join you and have them control the other characters on your team allowing up to four players being on a single team either locally or online. With Team Battle Mode, this is the only mode that will allow the most players to play in as 2v2 you can play either locally or online, but when it gets to 3v3 or 4v4, the other team, if player controlled, will have to be players from online and means there can be up to 8 player playing in just one fight.
After the first Exhibition Fighters game, I'll see about getting Chronicle of Nightmares into production, which unlike the other games will be using 3D graphics for the game. The game will be of an unconscious mind that you have to guide through ten nightmares and back to reality. However the nightmares are there to test the person's will to live. Die in the nightmare and the person dies as well. No pressure :p
As much as I would like to get my MMO Horror RPG going, Brimstone Road is the largest project ever and would take a lot, a LOT of funding to pull it off. So once Chronicle of Nightmares is completed, depending on how my funds stand, I might either work straight on Brimstone Road or work on Brimstone Road while getting the sequels of Exhibition Fighters made to build up funds for Brimstone Road.
Anyway, there's your game update, I'm going back to sleep for now

Update!
Posted 9 years agoWell, I did a Borderlands 2 stream Sunday and an art stream today (Monday) and while no one really showed up to watch, which was disappointing, I think that since I did a lot of work regardless, my drive to draw is coming back!
So, tomorrow I'll be doing a Team Fortress 2 stream (let me know if you want to play TF2 with me) and the day after I'll be doing another art stream where I work on the Exhibition Fighters comic some more.
So come watch if you're up for it! Hope you will :3

Good news!
Posted 9 years agoWell, I got a music maker for my RPG, meaning that The Six Realms will be put on Steam Greenlight soon. I'll let you know when it is. I hope I can use the game to fund the other games, such as Tales of the Darkside and Exhibition Fighters. As Tales of the Darkside has to be free to play, I'm hoping TSR will be able to fund it and Exhibition Fighters. Once Exhibition Fighters is out there, I should be able to make money with that as well, to fund Chronicle of Nightmares and other following games.
Another bit of good news is that I got rid of my horrible satellite ISP and got a radiowave ISP that not only is harder to lose a signal on, but this is TONS faster than my previous ISP. What does that mean? I can go back to my streaming schedule! If you're not familiar with it, it's found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12836439/
I'm not sure if I should still use Furstre.am to art stream or go over to Picarto, but I might look into Piczel since it allows game streaming as well. Which ever I decide on I'll let you know. I'll be starting up the art streaming at the start of next week. Which means I'll be starting it on Sunday, with the Portal 2 day. I plan to use this as a free gaming day, actually, playing whatever I feel up to at the moment, but if any of you would like to play a game on Steam with me, let me know and let me know what game you're up for and we'll see.
Now am I sure I can play online now as well as art stream? I'd say yes, absolutely, because I'm typing this after just doing an 8 player MvM game on x10 mode of Team Fortress 2! And I only had occasional lagging because there were too many entities on screen at the time. But my computer quickly recovered and I was able to play on without dying from lag. If that doesn't say I'm up and running again, then I don't know what will :p Now there is some downside... I accidentally locked myself out of my 3 TB external hard drive accidentally partitioning part of it, locking the rest off from access. I have a program that can help me recover what was locked away, but I need another external hard drive of equal or greater size, which I did order, but because of a faux pas with the post office on my father's part, it was sent to Kentucky for some reason and not here. And I say for some reason because my parents are currently in Georgia, not Kentucky... What the fuck... Anyway, I might need to do some commissions to make up for the $140 that went down the hole with that so I can order another one and finally get the HDD I ordered. Why does this matter in my art streaming? Some of my streaming programs were on that HDD that got partitioned... So either I need to download it all over again or recover it from the HDD.
ANYWAY, I've also been getting back to the Exhibition Fighters comic trying to get myself back to drawing. I have four new pages which will be posted here on FA soon.

Music makers needed to help
Posted 9 years agoSo guys, uh... my RPG project, The Six Realms, has finally passed it's final test play with some minor fixes here and there to make sure it runs smoothly. However one issue... If I'm going to release the game for money on Steam like I planned, I'll have to replace 4 songs in the game to make sure no copyright conflicts come up. So, if any of you out there are music makers or know someone who is, please send me a note regarding helping me with The Six Realms ASAP.
In the meantime, I found some papers I had worked on planning for my next game project Tales of the Darkside and I'll be working on achievement icons for The Six Realms for when it's released.

IMVU fuckery...
Posted 9 years agoWell, I've told some people that I've been on IMVU for years and as time went on I've been getting more and more disappointed with them. And now it's hit an all time low for them, which makes it disappointing since IMVU now owns FurAffinity techincally.
When I first joined IMVU, while we did not have rooms you could customize as in put furniture or whatever into and no furniture for the rooms period. But we had unrestricted items for our avatars, including adult items, such as having an item that allows you to have an erect penis should you need it for a roleplay you're doing on IMVU, because that's part of the fun.
Well, eventually they banned such adult items without giving a reason as to why. I suspect that it since there were a few kids under the age of 18 using their parents' credit cards to buy the Access Pass from IMVU, which was the only thing keeping people from seeing adult content on there, that the parents, once they found out about what their kids was seeing, complained to IMVU. And IMVU, instead of doing the smart thing and disabling the kid's AP rights until they were of age or even taking the AP away and refunding the parents, they removed the content the parents were complaining about, reducing the items for honest AP users, making the AP catalog go from X to more of a R rating... Later on like a year after customizeable rooms were given to us, they remove the ability for us to have any wall pictures in our rooms that displayed any type of sexual activity, so now the AP catalog went from R to more like PG-13... We keep going like this and there won't be an AP catalog at all!
That's not the issue right now, but that's just the start of the overall disappointment with IMVU...
There's also been cases of hackers and spammers advertising fake sites meant to steal your account plaguing IMVU as well, and it seems that they haven't really taken any action towards these. I even had to kick an admitted hacker out of a public room because he started talking disrespectfully of people and threatening to steal accounts of those in the room that didn't side with him. Then he had to bitch at me on two accounts that he stole, both of which I flagged, because while it sucks that the original owners lost them, they no longer had control over them, and if they were like me, they'd prefer the accounts be closed than in the hands of some arrogant asshole.
But the recent thing, which is the last straw, is that an IMVU friend of one of my friends had an account stolen from her by a hacker. The hacker started using the account as a credit mule, using a credit card he apparently stole from someone else, to buy and store credits on this IMVU account he just stole. The friend contacts IMVU about it and IMVU locks the hacker out of the account, which is all well and good, but here comes the kicker... They offer to help the friend regain her account... if they pay them for it... $150 for what the hacker put on the account and $100 for an "account recovery fee", meaning they expect the friend to pay them $250 to return their own account back to them... What... the... fuck, IMVU! Have you become so greedy that you had to do such a shitty business practice as this?
And not only that, new users in the past used to get free public room slots, some customizeable rooms, and scene rooms to chat in. Apparently that's no longer the case. IMVU is providing less to the users and expecting more from them... At this point I'm about ready to just tell all my friends what's going on, recommending they abandon IMVU, and leaving IMVU for good myself! Ugh!

Attention FNAF fans and artists
Posted 9 years agoIf you love the Five Nights at Freddy's games and you heard of the FNaF RPG that Scott Cawthon was making and want to play it, but haven't been able to, here's the current issue. While FNaF World was completed and made onto Steam, Scott felt it was a bit rushed since there was some features intended to be in the game that weren't included, like a character stats page. So he took it down to update it and return it as free to play, which he did. But now it seems to be gone from Steam again despite the fact he was intending on making other updates to the game, including increasing the playable FNaF cast to include characters like Jack-o-Lantern Bonnie and Jack-o-Lantern Chica from the Halloween update of FNAF4, Nightmare Balloon Boy, and even the purple guy. Sadly this update has never come yet despite the information on this next update being leaked.
I also checked Scott's GameJolt and FNaF World is even absent from this. So if you want to play the game, since it was brought back as free to play, I can help you guys out. I have the FNaF World version after the first update when Scott brought back the game as free to play. If you'd like to play it, you can get it here for now. http://www.mediafire.com/download/x.....FNaF_World.RAR
Once Scott puts the game on either his GameJolt or back on Steam, I'll take this down.
One of the benefits of playing this game, you get to see how Mangle looked before she got mangled.

Posted 9 years agoIt's April 15th, Income Tax day. But for all you out there that follow me... It's also my birthday. I'm now 33. Whee... Seems like not that long ago when I was just turning 32...
If you're curious, the only thing being done for my birthday is eating out at a Chinese restaurant that's nearby.
Other than that, same old, same old.
Fixing up little things with the final version of The Six Realms so I can get it up on Steam and continuing work on my Exhibition Fighters comic.
EDIT: Okay... seems like I'm a bit out of it today. I said I turned 34 today and seems I miscalculated by a year ^^; I turn 33...

TFF 2016 report
Posted 9 years agoHey, everyone! I'm back from TFF 2016. As I said before, I was roomed with
daq and
sailoranna and it went pretty well. We got breakfast every day before the Artist Alley or Dealer's Den opened and dinner every time after the Dealer's Den before heading back to the Artist Alley. And if any of you were looking for me at TFF this year, yes, I actually took part in Artist Alley this year since I'm an artist. I was seated at table 44 on day one and day two and three I was seated at table 10. Yeah, the tables were numbered. When I was seated on day one I had Sailor Anna sitting to my left. Day two I was seated across from DAQ and Sailor Anna and a friend of theirs known as
jhughes. As for day three DAQ was seated right next to me.
I also picked up my Exhibition Fighters sketchbook from
wolfkidd that also I had
fredgdperry sketch in. I'll be scanning the sketches later for you guys to see.
As for my art sales... Well, didn't do as well as DAQ and Sailor Anna, but I got some. Only two, really. On day two I got my first from a green fox known as Kimi of his fursona sitting with a cup of coffee. On day three I got one from
scarskitsune and of what I won't say since it's supposed to be a surprise. Sorry.
In other news, I need to get some materials for next year so I can do more sells, including badges and prints. I'll be posting things I drew over at TFF later on as well as some photos relating to TFF will be posted on my Tumblr, clawmackain.tumblr.com
Also forgot to mention this until I saw jhughes did in his journal. After Dealer's Den and Artist Alley closed up Sunday and it started getting late there was a huge art jam I took part in with DAQ, Sailor Anna, JHughes,
portzebie,
luna-starbright,
joey-poey,
tooiebird, and several others. And I found a picture of a certain someone from NCIS: New Orleans that I thought Joey-Poey looked a lot alike with. I showed the picture of the character to the others in the art jam and they thought the same, even Joey's wife, Tooie :p Who was this person? Sabatian, the lab tech. If you don't believe me and you've met Joey-Poey in person, look up Sabatian, I dare you!
EDIT: For those of you wondering about the photos going up on my Tumblr, they're up now! http://clawmackain.tumblr.com/post/141170873125/
daq and
sailoranna and it went pretty well. Day two I was seated across from DAQ and Sailor Anna and a friend of theirs known as
jhughes. As for day three DAQ was seated right next to me.I also picked up my Exhibition Fighters sketchbook from
wolfkidd that also I had
fredgdperry sketch in. I'll be scanning the sketches later for you guys to see.As for my art sales... Well, didn't do as well as DAQ and Sailor Anna, but I got some. Only two, really. TFF 2016
Posted 9 years agoSo, it's two weeks until Furry Fiesta 2016 in Dallas, so now's the best time to let you guys know how everything's going.
First off, I've slowly been forcing myself to get back into drawing, when I'm not letting myself get distracted by my many games on my various systems, such as the Borderlands series, Team Fortress 2, or even Undertale (the feels!), and in the progress of my preparation for TFF, I got a business bank account that I can use to store funds for my future game projects in when I gain some.
And speaking of game projects, The Six Realms is pretty much complete. I'm doing some touch ups to it here and there before putting it up on Steam for $10 to help with the future game projects funding. Some of the touch ups involve programming and drawing, so yes, doing some drawing here and there, too.
But putting aside the update, let's do a convention meme :p
Where are you staying?
A hotel down the road from the hosting hotel
What day are you getting there?
Should be Thursday, Friday if plans are delayed
How are you traveling?
On the road, driving for six long hours... Oy
Who will you be rooming with?
DAQ and
SailorAnna
How is the best way to find you?
Normally I'm in the corral downstairs, but I should be in Artist Alley this year!
Are there any panels you might be attending?
Never attended any before, so probably still won't
What do you look like?
Caucasian with a goatee and medium length brown hair (had to cut it because my genetics don't support my long hair anymore D: ) and what some people claim is an "angry look"
Will you be suiting?
No, no interest in fursuits. And my suit suit is in the closest :p
Do you do free art?
For friends, if asked
Do you do trades?
Maybe, though I'm nothing special ^_^;
Do you do badges?
I have some lamination plates for them, so willing to try.
If you have an Artist's Table, what will you be selling?
Original commissions :3 Also have some past works printed out to show as examples for newcomers.
What is your gender?
Male.
How tall are you?
5'10"
Can I talk to you?
Sure, just don't talk my ear off. I need those! D:
Can I touch you?
A handshake maybe, friends can hug me if they feel, but I feel embarrassed even with a hug. Nothing more than that, ya creepo!
Can I visit your room?
Eh, nah...
Can I buy you drinks?
As long as it's not an alcoholic one. Can't stand anything with alcohol in it :/
Can I give you stuff?
Sure, if you want, but why? o.o;
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
If I've known you for awhile, sure. Also... prefer da ladies, so ya know.
Are you nice?
Depends on how the day finds me. If it finds me dead, then no.
Do you have an artist table?
Hopefully I will, so long as there's free spaces for ma toosh
Will you be going to parties?
Depends. Not much of a party goer, honestly.
Where will you be most of the time during the day(s)?
Most likely at the Artist Alley, if no space is free, then in the Corral with my usual set up as the previous days, probably playing TF2 on my laptop as some of you might've seen :p
What/where will you be eating?
Anywhere that has decent food, a decent price, and not too hard to find. But I'm hungry now!
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
If my friends and I know you, sure.
Can I look in your sketchbook?
Sure, but right now someone is holding onto it, so I have to get it from him first.
Can I draw in your sketchbook?
Sure, if you'd like.
Can I take your picture?
Sure, I don't mind, but let me put my sunglasses on first. My eyes are sensitive to light and the flash would make me sun blind for a moment.
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Eh, get away from home, enjoy myself, and hopefully gain back the amount I spent to come to the convention and extra money in for noms and game project funding. Please buy my artz! =;_;=
Dat's all now! Beat it!

How to tell idiots out number the smart people
Posted 10 years agoYou see something like this. https://derpicdn.net/img/view/2012/8/14/74422.jpg
Seriously, getting butthurt over a pic like that, then calling bronies and furries pedophiles? Way to not think at all, people.

Accident or Arson?
Posted 10 years agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpcMHagnbuQ
Well, had a fire on my property that neither I nor my neighbors started. It went out of control despite us trying to fight it back. The fire department had to come kill the flames.
It was getting very close to my house by the end of it, but thankfully the fire was halted. The Fire Marshall even came out and while the fire’s start location has been identified, the cause has yet to be.
So the question is, was this an accident or arson?

Important notice
Posted 10 years agoI've been trying to get back to my artwork little by little.
Sadly that might be delayed even further. I'm starting to be in such a financial bind that not only did I have to stop supporting my friend
zillford on his Patreon, but due to the huge expense my medical care has been, I'm even having to halt even that.
And as a result I'm going to have to take in art commissions again as well as find a day job in my local area...
I don't know if this will hinder or help me in my motivation to return to my art, but this financial issue is quite the unpleasant one...

Posted 10 years agoMy friend is getting evicted from her home :/ She found a new place to live, but lacks the money to move in yet. She has until the end of the month to move out... So if those of you out there have the money to spare, no matter how small it is, please help her and give her some money here: gofund.me/ANewLifeForAngel
I've been giving her $100 myself to try to help, but with just me doing this, it's really denting the amount she needs. I also can only give this every two weeks, so by the time I can give her money again, it might be too late, especially since gofund.me doesn't release the funds until 3 business days has passed.
She needs the help because she's a disabled mother taking care of her two daughters and the oldest one has found a possible job to help out with funds, but they need a place to live first.

Well...
Posted 10 years agoI'm a little disappointed that no one was willing to help my friend. She and her two daughters are being forced to move now.
Just if anyone's curious, she's a disabled 47 year old mother of three daughters. While the oldest is old enough to be on her own and has moved out already, my friend is still in care of her 17 and 13 year old daughters. She is currently in Las Vegas, which I know is an expensive place to live. She also has an ex who's currently in prison and getting out on the 27th, so she hopes to move before then.
So if you wish to be kind enough to donate anything to help her, you can do so here: gofund.me/ANewLifeForAngel
Please do so, because she does need to get away before her ex is released from prison. I'll be donating to her when I can, too.

Forcing myself...
Posted 10 years agoTo get back into drawing... I have my Photoshop CS3 up and running on my new laptop. One issue I seem to constantly get is when duel monitoring... My Monoprice table has taken to trying to use monitor 2, a monitor I normally have sitting behind my laptop, as the primary draw screen... Stupid thing... Wonder if it has to do with my laptop's monitor being a 1980 x 1080 resolution screen...
Anyway, I have a drawing broadcaster as well as a gaming broadcaster. I'll have to see if I can set them up for my Furstre.am channel. I can use the second monitor to draw on, though not very comfortably until I have my new place ready and have a desk for my computer.
But I'll be trying to draw tomorrow for a little while and if I do get the broadcaster set up, I'll be streaming it.
In other news two of my friends needs help.
One friend of mine is from IMVU and frankly is old enough to be my mother :s Either way, she was trying to help out someone, who then betrayed her and now she and her daughters might be thrown out of their home. So she asks for anyone that is able to, to send her at least $5 to help her keep her home. Here's where to send it: http://www.gofundme.com/ANewLifeForAngel
As for the other friend, it's not as serious as the one above, but
ireneblackwolf has a laptop that is starting to die. She's offering to take commissions to fund a new one, so if you'd like to check her out and see if you can help her with a commission, go to her FA and let her know!
EDIT: Another friend just had some recent bullshittery done upon him, so he's needing some help. If you recall the name,
Zillford has done a few picture I've commissioned from him and just recently some asshole, whoever it may be, filed a false police report with the police from his area, making him be without a computer for a few days, but he's back now, but out of sorts. So he needs support for those willing to donate to him via Paypal: zillfordbiz[at]gmail.com and check out his Patreon if you want to get art from him sometime! https://www.patreon.com/zillford

Posted 10 years agoSeems working on my RPG close to 2 years has basically made it difficult to get back into drawing even with my computer up and running again.
The problem with this is while I don't have commissions to do, I do have art I promised certain people. Also I've delayed releasing the final version of The Six Realms on Steam until I can make some art for the Steam cards you'd get for playing it. There will be 20 in total cards, but my difficulty getting back to drawing has slowed this down.
So I might need to outsource the art work for the Steam cards to other artists. I'll try to work on this one I've already started... So that makes 19 in total left to do.
If any artist out there is interested in drawing something for the RPG, let me know and I'll tell you what I'm looking for and what is still needed to be done. If you don't have time to do anything without being paid, I can pay you for the work come next week.

Argh, just as I was getting back to drawing
Posted 10 years agoFor those that don't know, I've been working on drawing again now that The Six Realms is officially done.
Sadly last week was a bad week for me, which also included a critical failure in my new gaming laptop. Monday something happened and the failure was that a bunch of DLL files suddenly failed, disabling quite a bit of the laptop, including the ability to shut down right and my antivirus working like it's supposed to. I was figuring maybe it was a temporary memory fault, so I tried restarting the computer, which should reboot the DLL files correctly. Well, when I tried this, it also said it wanted to update. But it wouldn't let me restart or shut down to do the update. I actually had to manually shut it down. When I turned it back on a few seconds later it started updating like nothing was wrong. But then it said it was going to prepare Windows to start up and... did nothing after that. It was stuck on the "Preparing Windows" screen. So I left it there over night. When I got up, it still said "Preparing Windows", which isn't right... My net's laggy and crappy, going at most 17 kB/s, but even then it would've restarted by the time eight hours has passed. So I left it on all of Tuesday to see if anything would change, which it did not... So Wednesday I had to take it to the nearest computer shop. Sort of a shame, too, because the shop doubles as a cigar shop and I still have the smell of smoke on my shirt no thanks to that.
Anyway, my computer's STILL in the shop and it's been over a week now since it's been in there. Joy...
I was working on some new art, too. A redrawing of an old character. This has effectively slowed me down. I'll be working on the concept sketches I've been working on for Tales of the Darkside while I wait...

TFF2015 update
Posted 10 years agoSorry for the delay. Got back Monday night and used yesterday to relax. But here's a rundown for those of you who were wondering how my time at TFF2015 went.
Before the convention -
I packed most of my things up Wednesday and left a few things to pack on Thursday just before I left for TFF. Once everything was packed and I was on my way, I stopped over at the San Antonio Grey Hound station and picked up
DAQ and drove up to Dallas with him. Naturally we stopped a few places for fuel for the truck and food for ourselves. Also stopped by to see if my friend was home, since he lived somewhat along the way, but apparently he was at work. When we got to Dallas, I dropped DAQ off at the convention hotel, which was not too far from the hotel he was staying at since he wanted me to drop him off there to see if his friend he was rooming with had arrived yet. I got to my hotel room, took a nice hot bath, relaxed, and watched Big Bang Theory :p
Friday -
I gathered up my con stuff, which was more than last year, honestly... I had a bag of sketch books, a computer bag I kept my new laptop in so it wouldn't get damaged like my last two laptops did, a bag of cords and controllers for when I went down to the corral, my backpack. I also had my cooler of rations, meaning food and soda. I had a monitor to dual monitor my game play down in the corral with because a few people at TFF last year enjoyed seeing me play TF2 occasionally and draw! I also brought along the laptop that recently broke on me, which was in my backpack. Why did I bring it? Well, while I now have a wonderful and functional gaming laptop, the older laptop still works fine. Its break only made it where you cannot go online with it at all. Ethernet port's burnt out and the wireless line anchored to the inside of the frame snapped when the frame cracked clean through. So, this laptop that couldn't go online was actually perfect to show off the RPG I finished making for those that stopped by and wanted to try it out. I sat with DAQ at a table outside of the Dealer's Den and we both drew for awhile and were joined by
Sinuke,
SailorAnna,
GoliathCPG and
Karno even stopped by the table for a moment. After a bit of drawing I went into the Dealer's Den when it opened and greeted
Niis,
Padunk,
fredgdperry,
WolfKidd,
Portzebie, and
Luna-Starbright. I also meet and talked a bit with
Miupix who was seated next to
Gideon. While there I pointed out that I was the one that pointed out in his early Ask Jam strips that Jam was missing her little pink diamond on her forehead, jokingly asking if it fell off. Well, this became an unintentional meme for his characters since the answer was Jam explaining that sometimes that happens when her fur doesn't fluff up right. After this, a lot of people started asking if his other characters had hidden diamonds, too, if they brushed their fur a certain way, which is a bit... odd, but funny to think about. I also told him that I had thought of an interesting idea of Jam, Cream, and Peaches dressed as some of the female cast from BlazBlue. He admitted that he wasn't too familiar with the game, so I left it at that and he said he'd look it up sometime. I also found and talked to the guy that manages Furry Dakimakura since my friend,
Zillford, was going to have mouse pads of his red mouse girl Krista made through the site, but something happened that halted that. So I talked with the guy in regards of this and got some information I could pass onto Zill to have this still be done. Afterwards, I went back to the table and drew some more along with the others, which during this time my phone's power got low and I had to turn it off. After another while, I decided it was high time for me to set up in the corral, especially since that was the only place I knew of with useable power outlets and my computer was getting low on power. I had to collect my backpack, bag of cords, and monitor, which I brought in a little while into the drawing earlier, then set up everything down in the corral to host a live play of my RPG, The Six Realms. It was sort of a promotional opportunity for those that might want to buy it once it goes up on Steam for $10 to help fund my next game projects. A few of the people that did test play it pointed some things out to me that I quickly fixed in a tweak, which wasn't all that major, but more like minor annoyances, such as the text for finding items in the first dungeon being hard to read due to the light colored floors, or doors that were supposed to be locked and stationary until you found a key for them would change their look when they told you they were locked... which.... really bugs me... So, all that's fixed now! And guess what? Anyone wanting to playtest the RPG may still do so. I'm going to delay releasing the RPG to Steam for now until I get my business bank account up and running so I can keep my funds separate from my personal money. Why am I doing this? Well, for one it'll keep me from being tempted to spending all my funds I gather on personal items, and for two, if I'm going to indeed sell this game for funding, I'd best treat it like a business rather than just personal. Anyway... I stayed down in the corral until around midnight, when I decided to head back to my hotel room and settle in for the night, so I packed up everything, got it into the truck and left.
Saturday -
I got up pretty early compared to my normal time. It was around 8 AM. So I got myself ready and headed out with my con supplies again. Sinuke, DAQ, and Sailor Anna are already there, so I joined them and drew a bit into my sketch book, trying to get some of the Exhibition Fighters cast drawn into the book as references for the artists that might be drawing in the sketch book, though I also realized that I forgotten to charge my phone last night. While I didn't get the first 10 of the cast in like I hoped, I went ahead and asked WolfKidd if he had any open slots for sketch book drawings and he said that today he was all filled, but if I got to him tomorrow morning, he should have a slot open. So I agreed to try to get to him then. This also gave me enough time to put more references into the sketch book. Though before leaving I went ahead and showed Rei Morisan, the snow leopard girl who couldn't be pierced by blades to Fred Perry. Being a spotted feline girl sort of made me think somewhat of his Gold Diggers cheetah girl, Brittany. I asked him if he'd be willing to do a sketch of Rei, and surprisingly he did a sketch of her in the sketch book right there in the book at that moment. Wasn't a full sketch, but it was still a good one. I do feel like I owe him some money just for what he did draw, personally. I'll see if he's up to accepting the money for it. I talked to
Seppel again while here about his Furotica card game, which admittedly I had bought a deck of last year. But this time I talked to him because I remembered that
Chalodillo had made some cards for them and Chalo and I have a mutual friend who'd a very good artist, much better than myself, Jessica Elwood. And so I thought maybe I could see if she'd have the time and the desire to make some art for this, too. So I got a card from Seppel to give Jessica the information from in case she was keen on doing this. Anyway, I went back to the table and drew more into the sketch book for awhile until my laptop's power again got low (using the laptop for music and references of my own characters, FYI), so I gathered my things, headed down to the corral, had someone playing pool watch my things while I got the rest of my con supplies from the truck and brought them down to the corral and hosted another live play of The Six Realms while I played a few games from my Steam collection. Now that I think of it... I only had about 20 games last year I was at TFF2014 and this time I had 101 games on my Steam... How time... and money... flies when you don't pay attention. An attendee going by Hound Dog joined me down there and asked a bit about the RPG and the watched me play a bit of Borderlands. After a little while he set up his own laptop and played some WoW on it. While I knew about the Taurens, Worgens, and Pandarians on WoW, I didn't know they made a feline race. Though, being an old EverQuest player, I rather miss my Vashir thief, Mitago, and my Iksar shadow knight, Xeirokos Banescales. Anyway, since Saturday's my anime night, I packed up my things when it got close to 10 PM, went back to my hotel room, and watched Toonami until it the shows I wanted to watch were over. I was drawing more in the sketch book while Toonami was on as well. When it became 3 AM, I went ahead and called it a night.
Sunday -
I got to the convention and it started sprinkling. It was a light drizzle at the time, so I thought nothing of it, but I brought the umbrella I took with me inside anyway. Also brought in only my computer bag holding my laptop and my bag of sketch books so I wouldn't bog myself down with the weight of the other things. I went ahead and got Lucie York, my shy mouse mage girl of the Exhibition Fighters into the sketch book, because I figured while she's not a rat, WolfKidd, who's fond of rat girls, might like Lucie if I asked him to draw her. Of the Exhibition Fighters, only James Myst, the illusionist, is a rat, and I hadn't gotten him into the sketch book yet. I decided to go into the Dealer's Den, especially since I didn't want my laptop to get low on power just yet since I had to show Padunk a screenshot of Lady Aurelia from Borderlands the Pre-Sequel since I mentioned how Lady Aurelia had a fur collar on her dress and Padunk's fursona has a natural fur collar around her neck, so it sort of looked like Aurelia was meant for Padunk. I had taken a screenshot of Aurelia the previous night and also took one of Aurelia in an alternate hairstyle I figured Padunk would like as well. When I got there, though, Padunk was distracted and had to go somewhere for a little, so I showed Niis the screenshots to see if she thought Padunk would like to see them and she agreed that Padunk would want to see it. So since Padunk wasn't there yet, I went to show Miu some screenshots, old and new, from BlazBlue, because I mentioned to him how I thought it'd be interesting to see Jam, Cream, and Peaches dressed up as characters from BlazBlue. Miu didn't know the game, but Gideon did. But when I showed him the screenshots he immediately recognized Taokaka since there's been so many drawings of her. For those curious, I was thinking Cream could be dressed as Litchi Fang Ling, since they're both rather busty. Peaches could be dressed as Taokaka, because while Tao has a nice bust on her, she's not as big as Litchi, plus Tao and Litchi are friends, and ironically, Tao tends to fondle Litchi's breasts... often without asking. And Jam could be dressed as Noel Vermillion, who like Jam, isn't all that big in the chest area, but is still cute. So, after showing him the screenshots I went back to Niis and Padunk's table and Padunk finally showed back up, to which I showed her Aurelia and she did seem to like Lady Aurelia, but she admitted that most of her game time has been going to BioShock recently. Funny considering I have all three BioShocks, but been spending most of my time on the three Borderlands, even though they're by the same company. After wishing Niis luck on finishing up all the commissions she's gotten I headed over to WolfKidd's table, who wasn't there for a good while, doing something important I imagine. I asked if he still had the spot open, which he confirmed he still did, and so I opened my sketch book to Lucie York's reference and handed the sketch book to Wolf for him to work on it whenever he could since he was swamped in commissions. I let him know that if he does get it completed, I'd probably be out and about or down in the corral. After that I went back to the table and decided to draw a little on my clip board on some paper I brought with me. I drew sort of a character concept of an new Exhibition Fighters character I had in mind for awhile, but I might need to revise it later on. I also drew two characters from the second game of Exhibition Fighters together. While they're friends with each other, it's an uneasy friendship. You'll see why in the future. But after that I found myself having a little difficulty finding ideas of other things to draw, so I decided to head down to the corral early. I set the things I brought in on the table I had been setting up on before, though this time someone left a bunch of glow stick rings that were connected together on the table, so I moved it to the other table, then got someone to watch my things while I got the rest of my stuff from the truck. That's when I found out that little drizzle... became heavier. It wasn't light anymore. I had to use my umbrella and even then my coat got wet on certain places. I gathered what I could, trying to make sure the monitor didn't get too wet while I brought it and everything else inside. Just wished I recalled at that point that my truck does have some bad seals around the doors so it leaks behind the driver's seat. Luckily it wasn't leaking yet when I got the things out of there. Once I carried everything down to the corral, I dried off the monitor with some napkins left on a nearby table. I connected everything up and got The Six Realms up and running for anyone that wanted to play it, which a few people did, including KitStar, someone that has made a few games on RPG Maker, though honestly The Six Realms is probably my first and only RPG Maker game. He was kind enough to give me a 3D modeling program, much like 3D Studio, which I seemed to have misplaced my copy of... But he and his roomie, Drasmir, came down and talked to each other while we waited for the supposed 3 hour download time to go through. I tried playing Cave Story+ on my laptop, which I have on Steam and have beaten, but for some reason I couldn't get the controller to work with it, and I'm sure I beat it using a controller... Well, either way I played it some by keyboard and I lost to Misery, the witch :/ I know I beaten her before... Bleh... Anyway, I asked Kit if he knew about the MineCraft room in Borderlands 2 since he seemed so fond of it, and surprisingly he did not. Seeing that it's in the Caustic Caverns and I had already reached the Bunker, I was sure I could go back and find it to show him, but sadly that's when I found out that something was wrong with my Borderlands 2 game files because every time I tried to play it, it'll freeze as soon as Zero went through the respawner at the Bunker. Even been doing that today, but I digress. Because of BL2 freezing, I was forced to find a way to close BL2, which the task manager wasn't doing its job for... So I had to log out of my computer, then log back in, which had closed everything. But thankfully when BL2 froze and I was trying to close it without logging out beforehand, the 3D modeling program that was downloading finished. So I didn't need to worry about that, even opened it up to make sure it worked and take a look at it, too. Kit gave me a very quick rundown of the program, which I don't remember how to do... curse this memory... So I might need to mess with the program sometime in the future. That's how I learned RPG Maker after all. Messed with it and made The Six Realms with it. But I tried Borderlands 2 some more times, which all failed, so I decided... to kill some things on Skyrim. I booted it up on my Steam and just played some. When I got bored of it, though, I went on to play Starbound. Basically bouncing around on games I had on my Steam until I got even bored of that and so played some videos, both music and otherwise from what I had on my hard drive until 1 AM and the corral was getting to be... dead from lack of people. Even the DJ that was down there had already called it a night early and left. So I packed up, and carried EVERYTHING to the door, but my shoulders were aching a lot telling me to stop and I quickly got out of breath. While I enjoyed the convention, all the lugging around things was not so good on me physically. After sitting down and trying to think of how I was going to get through the freezing wind and wet terrain out there to get the things to the truck, someone asked if I was alright and even complimented my goatee ^^; I told him about my situation of having to get all these things, being a computer bag, a heavy backpack, a monitor, a cooler, and two plastic bags with things inside them out into the cold and into my truck which was parked in the reserve parking across the street. He offered to help carry some of the things for me and I thought with how cold it was out there, it'd be best if he just watch my things while I ran to the truck and brought it to the hotel. Less of a distance to go to put it up meant less time out in the cold. He agreed, so I went and actually ran to my truck. I was just happy it was no longer raining. But it was apparently extremely cold because when I got to the truck, the driver's side door was frozen shut and I had to pull multiple times to break the ice to allow me to get into the truck and drive it to the hotel. Once there I had to pry the other door open so I could get the things in there, though sadly since the rain was going for awhile the truck had already got water leaked inside. So I had to be careful with how I put everything in there. It was surprising how cold it was, too, because the truck had a pool of ice in the back from sitting out there in the rain. Once I got everything in I thanked the guy and his friends for helping me with my things while they headed out themselves. I went back into the hotel to let DAQ know the situation of the outside. It was so cold that I was sure it'd be painful to walk in that wind even for him. So I gave him a ride over to his hotel, which since most of the people had already left from the reserve parking, gave me enough room to cut through there since the hotel he was staying at was just on the other side of the reserve parking. Once I dropped him off at his hotel I let him know I'd probably take my chances and get up in the morning and leave then even though they were predicting it was going to freeze over night and the roads were going to be iced. He told me that if I do get up in the morning I could go ahead and give him a ride back to at least San Antonio so he could head home. I agreed to do so and I headed back to the hotel, which was pretty was easy since hardly anyone was on the road now. So I got to the hotel, got my things out of the truck and before I let myself go to bed, I laid down some paper towel sheets from the paper towel roll I had brought along with me to the convention. The paper towel sheets would soak up the water that seeped inside and easily dry up compared to if I just let it sit there on the cold floor. Once that was done, I made sure all but the needed things were already packed up then I went to bed. And it was 3 AM when I did this... joy... Also found out something before I went to bed. I was so worried about my phone being dead that I had to make sure I put it on the charger before I headed to bed. It was then I recalled the charger was in my backpack that whole time... The very backpack I would bring down to the corral with me every single night... D'OH!
Monday -
I woke up at 8:30 AM because of someone going by my hotel room door with their luggage on wheels loudly clicking on the concrete. Joy... But I decided to get up, get ready, then pack up my things and go get DAQ for the trip home. After getting ready, I text DAQ that I was already up and just needed to pack now and I'd be over. As soon as I get out to pack up things into the truck, I find... ice... everywhere. On the road, all over my truck... Sheesh. So I pry the doors open... again. And pack a few things into it, then decide to turn on the vehicle and put the heater on max for the defrost. Once I got just about everything of mine into the truck there was still... no dent in the ice on the windshield... So I went last resort... Because we were dealing with my personal schedule here. So I used up all the water from a squirt bottle I had with me which I used to attach my GPS to the inside of the windshield. I would've been using the windshield wipers along with the spray bottle, but they were frozen in place... While the ice discolored, there was no obvious sign of it coming off. So I went back into my hotel room, got the little plastic cup I had used to rinse my mouth out after I brushed my teeth each morning there at the hotel and gathered some hot water into it and the now empty squirt bottle. I slowly poured the water from the cup onto the driver's side windshield, which quickly ate away the ice, leaving a bit of a gap in the ice, allowing me to see through. To make it more clear, I squirt some of the water from the bottle onto it to clear away some more ice. After that I pulled the wipers up out of the ice enough to get them unstuck, then used the windshield wiper fluid to eat through the ice, though it had to go through the ice on the hood first... Once I could see well enough, I kept the defrost going and turned in the room keycard to the front desk since everything was now out of there. After that I tried to leave the hotel parking lot. I say "tried" because they had a slight incline out of the hotel parking lot. And since I had to wait for traffic, once I got a clearing I tried to move into the road, but would either stay in place or slide back a little. So I made my way back around the parking lot to try to give myself enough momentum to get over the incline which was the only exit... Luckily there was still no traffic coming by the time I got back to and over the incline out of the parking lot. So I carefully made my way back to the hotel DAQ was staying at. When I got there I went up to the room DAQ told me he was staying at through a text. When I got there he let me know he had to finish up a drawing for
rick2tails before leaving. So I patiently waited but soon realized I better move the truck out from the front of the hotel and into a parking spot. So I did that and got back to the room. I waited while DAQ did his work. Of course being a fellow artist, I knew the importance of doing such work. When he was all ready to leave I helped him with one of his bags as we went back to the first floor and packed his things into the truck. It was honestly a bit scary leaving Dallas considering that some of the roads were still iced. Hell, the truck was still iced as were the windshield wipers! But soon we were out of Dallas and even Fort Worth, thankfully. I was already down to half a tank, so to keep us going I stopped at a decently priced gas station and since they had a Subway there, I figured DAQ and I could get something to eat here before heading our way back on the road. This would also let us get out of this bad weather for a little while. When we got back on the road there was a little occasional slides, but I quickly got the truck back in control, which is better than some, considering we actually had someone spin out completely a bit further down the road from us. I was usually careful with my driving. The rest of the way was pretty uneventful other than one more slide and correction and when the windows were starting to fog up DAQ suggested we turn on the defrost setting on the heater and when I went to do that, a sudden curve in the road came up and the barrier next to us curved with it, making us tap it hard enough to bounce the truck off of it and we both felt it. Thankfully I didn't panic like some people would causing them to swerve into another lane. I kept driving in the lane we were in, never lost speed or anything and even got the defrost going without another incident. When we finally got to another gas station because we were low on fuel for the truck, while the truck had no change in how it drove, we wanted to make sure there was no damage to it either way. When we looked, we were surprised to see no scratch whatsoever to the truck. It's like the ice that covered the front of the truck protected my truck from harm. Naturally this isn't always the case. It's possible that we only scrapped the barrier slightly and my fast reflexes to the feeling saved the truck from the possible damage that it could've been. Anyway, once we got near Austin, I considered if I should drop DAQ at the Grey Hound station in San Antonio or just drive all the way to Laredo and drop him off at home. Well, since we were on a long stretch of highway I knew we'd be on for awhile I took my GPS, told it to cancel the destination, and told DAQ to put in the address to drop him off at in Laredo. I knew my mother would freak out though. I felt like me just going to the convention was using up a lot of money that could be used for better things and since I was in no rush to go home like I was to get to the convention, might as well drop him off at home. So, yes, I drop through San Antonio and straight down to Laredo. Once I got him home I got gas at the Walmart there, which thankfully was at $2.04 a gallon, there. You'd be surprised how many gas stations were trying to sell gas at $2.19 along the way. There was even one we saw that had it at $2.55! But I went on and headed back towards San Antonio and went on home. By the time I got there it was about 10:30 PM and both of my parents were already asleep. I decided to go to bed, too, not only because it was a really long trip, but also because I didn't wish to disturb them.
Anyway, I'm here and safe :p I'm ready to get back to my art, too.
I got to my hotel room, took a nice hot bath, relaxed, and watched Big Bang Theory :pFriday -
I gathered up my con stuff, which was more than last year, honestly...
Saturday -

I decided to go to bed, too, not only because it was a really long trip, but also because I didn't wish to disturb them.Anyway, I'm here and safe :p I'm ready to get back to my art, too.
Good news, everybody! (again)
Posted 11 years agoI have finished the remake of my RPG and just went through the ENTIRE game and fixed any errors I found. Yes, I playtested ALL of it. And just in time, too. I'll be attending Furry Fiesta 2015 next week, and with the RPG in 100% working order, this means YOU get to do a live play of it if you're attending and you find me in the Corral. This live play will be 100% free and allow you to see how the game strikes your fancy before I put it up on Steam in March to help fund my next game projects.
I only have three playtesters right now for The Six Realms' remake and they'll see if I missed anything until March, but I'm confident that I fixed it all.
I'll be giving my playtesters a discount for buying it once it's on Steam. But don't worry. If you're attending Furry Fiesta and find me, you can sign up for a discount yourself! The default price for The Six Realms' Steam edition will be $10 and the discount will take off half that. So have fun, be free, and game on! :D
