Posted 6 years agoSince January started, I've been pretty sick off and on with some sort of mystery thing.. Not sure what brings it on and I'm not sure what to do about it but I've puked far too many times this month for an emetophobe like myself to be at all ok with. I've also thought I was dying a couple times cause after being sick, I'd open my eyes and there would be blood everywhere.. but then it turns out my nose was just bleeding.
My energy is super low and any time I am not at my full time job working, I'm trying to get art done but there's only so long I can sit and try to draw for before I feel crappy again.
I have a doctors appointment set for february 7th (my family doctor is hella busy) and I'm altering a bunch of things I do in my daily life (cutting out certain foods, eating more of other foods, going to bed earlier etc) So we'll see if anything makes much of a difference. Currently my diet consists of a lot of smoothies filled with food that is said to be gentle on sensitive stomachs (Yogurt, papaya, banana) and superfruits (acaii berries) and just generally healthy things.
I'm still drawing when I can because I want to do it but I haven't been able to do much lately -- I have a bunch of unread notes from people which I'll get on this weekend <3 'v'
I titled this as a "hiatus" but I guess it's more just like... "I'm working hella slowly but I'm getting stuff done... at a snails pace" lmao. I'm still around and working x)
No one has contacted me yet with "concerns" about their commission but I just wanted to nip this in the butt before anyone did get worried that maybe I disappeared with your money lmao. I'm still here! just working a lot slower than usual ;v; <3
hopefully I'll feel better soon and then get on track and pump out art again real fast :D

I decided to make this journal because there are a few things I need to clarify with my clients, which is not only important for me but to other users.
First of all, as a lot of you know Paypal isn't necessarily furry friendly and a lot of furs have been banned from using their services if they find out they are furry related. This is because they assume that any furry related transaction is porn and they do not allow sales for pornography. Paypal usually links this to the notes attached to the transactions that say keywords like "Furry, porn, any links to FA, nudes" etc
Not only that, but now that paypal has introduced the attached shipping address to every transactions, some accounts are being banned for not "shipping items" because they do not attach a tracking number to their transactions. With every transaction there is a box you can click that says "No shipping needed" if you do not click that box it will automatically send your shipping information. Not only is this, kind of sketchy but you are giving out personal information that isn't necessary.
With all this being said, whenever you send a payment to me please make sure you click "No address needed"
and in the Note please ONLY include your username and no other information, if you choose to leave a note.

RULES:
1. Give rating out of 10
2. Give brief explanation as to why you gave the rating you did
3. If you don't like a character, give constructive criticism, not just "ew its gross i hate it". Maybe give design suggestions on how you would improve the original design.
4. Only rate my character if you're going to leave yours in turn for me to rate. No rating and running! That's not fair :U
5. You don't have to do a journal asking! That is only for the brave who truly want to know what people think and aren't afraid of the ever-judgmental public's opinion.
6. End on a good note! If you really don't like the character, find at least SOMTHING good to say about it to finish your "critique"/"opinion"! No one likes just getting outright bashed :U
7. You don't have to give your sona for the public to rate. can be just an OC
Don't rate/post if you aren't going to leave your OC behind to be rated as well! That's just not fair x)
Also don't play if you're going to take people's ratings personally and get angry. I'm genuinely curious as to how the public views my OC and maybe I'll get some good design advice out of it for future OCs!

Posted 7 years agowas awoken this morning at 5am by my dad saying something was wrong with my cat.
His eyes were both super shut, he looked weird and smelled even worse.
I think he got ass blasted at point blank range by a juvenile skunk.
spent an hour and a half bathing him over and over with a hydrogen peroxide/baking soda/dish washing soap mix that the internet said would help with the smell AND dog shampoo cause we don't own cat shampoo.
I don't know if he'll ever forgive me.
he may never purr again.
I may have to bathe him periodically through the day with this hydrogen peroxide baking soda solution to get rid of smeel.
currently burning scented candle in my room with window open.
its working.
Or I'm just getting used to the smell.
It's 6:45 am and my cat has had the worst start to his day and I've had a very wet start to mine . who should I re-make a ref for??

Happy Thanksgiving! - Also sick
Posted 7 years agoFirst of all, Happy thanksgiving to all my Canadian people :^) I hope, much like myself, you're getting ready for a delicious time. I won't be as active due to the holiday.
Also, Yesterday I don't know what happened but I randomly idk, like, died? I woke up feeling like I had a cold, slept until 3pm, still felt bad, slept until like 6 or 7, tried to eat, felt like I was gonna pass out or vomit or both, went back home and passed out again. I think I was awake for a solid 4 hours? maybe less.
Today I slept until maybe 2 or so.. feel a tiny bit better but still not great.
No idea whats wrong with me but it seems that sleeping for 20 hours a day is good :)
Hopefully I don't sleep through thanksgiving LOL

On the 21st through the 31st of October, post a journal/tweet/etc that's calledLIGHTS ON
This shows that your "porch light" is on and you're accepting Trick or Treaters.
People can come to your journal/tweet/etc and comment "Trick or Treat!" or whatever other code word you'd like to use.
At which point, the creator of the journal can offer up art as treats for those who comment. They don't have to have it as first come first serve, and they don't have to do everyone who comments either!
And, as to not overwhelm people, you can set a limit as to how many trick or treaters you'll take.
Everyone runs out of candy eventually! Once you hit your limit you can change your journal to Lights off or closed, etc.
I feel this could be a chance for some people to get some art and have fun while doing it as well~
Also, please don't be greedy! Be courteous to your other Trick or Treaters!
Please share this around on Tele, Twitter, FA, Weasyl, wherever, so more people can participate!

Art and responses slow - vet emergency
Posted 7 years agoI'm gonna be slowing down on the art and responses for the next little while cause one of our kittens got stepped on by one of our horses by accident >_>
two of her toes were totally crushed (luckily just her toes!!) so they had to be removed surgically. She's now wearing the cone of shame and keeps flicking her bandages off and showing everyone her gross stitched up paw stub.
We're calling her stumpy gumpy atm. (Run Forrest run!) really classy I know.
anyways.
We tried taking her back to the vet for them to put the bandage club back on which they did but within the hour, she had managed to flick it off again :U
I'm gonna call tomorrow and see what I should do cause every time I try to re-dress it, it stays on for maybe like 30 minutes until she's got it off again.
The good news is she seems more annoyed at her stub and bandages than she is in pain. The bad news is that she's walking around and trying to explore when we want her to just chill out and stay off her stumpy foot meaning I have to keep her in her kennel a lot of the time, which makes her sad cause she's a kitten and wants to explore... So I let her out when I can so I can supervise her explorations within my room (the less room to explore, the less chance of her somehow making her injury worse).
So taking care of her and making sure she doesn't hurt herself more is kind of a very full time thing along with working at my full time job so.
I'm working on art and responding to your notes n stuff when I can! I'll just be slower for the next couple weeks ;o; <3

Hey there guys! I'm gonna try this derp challenge again since a bunch of you expressed interest!! I'm going to have a couple different derp prices active for those on a tighter budget so make sure to read below! : )

Basically I'll take on 100 derps and I'll finish them all during the month of October! (or at least that's the goal!)

Help me name my kitten!
Posted 7 years agoI've been fostering 3 kittens for the past couple of weeks. They came to me basically feral as they were rescued from all the fires up north in my province.
The SPCA couldn't handle all the rescue animals along with the strays found up in the interior that have been moved down for safety towards us so fosters are really needed in my area some for animals that were already at SPCAs and some for animals just found on the street that still needed rescuing
SO.
I've become quite attached to this one; she's really small, very delicate, and unlike her sisters, she isn't as boisterous or savage. She gets bullied out of the way when it's food time and I think she's super thin because when her sisters are done eating, there isn't enough for her so I've had to start hand feeding her for like 45 minutes a day to make sure she eats and her sisters don't take food away from her :U
She's so fucking soft and precious and sweet and we want to name her something soft and precious and sweet.

The kittens live in our barn's hay loft since it provides warmth, shelter, a huge jungle gym for climbing, scratching and anything else they desire as well as safety from wild animals (coyotes and the like don't wanna fuck with a large congregation of horses.)
They also are quite tame and used to people now since we have small kids my mother teaches horse back riding lessons to on her spare time and what little kid doesn't love a kitten?

Posted 7 years agoI'm back from Vacation and my throat is feeling better! I'm starting to get into a routine of my day job and art so I'm hoping to pick up the pace with getting art out real soon :) I've started work on my queue again and I'm excited about progress.
