Yes, I'm still taking commissions for art and badges, if anyone's interested, but there haven't been many (read any) takers, so I'm going to try something else, too. Specifically, I'm opening myself to perform tarot readings for people, for a small fee.

If anyone has a question, a problem, a need for an answer or some advice, they can come to me. I'll be charging $15 for a single session, which can last anywhere from half an hour to two hours or more, depending on the nature of the question. And yes, I can give tarot readings over the internet, via instant messengers and the like. It's something I've done before, with a high level of accuracy in my readings.

So, pokemorphs. I've seen them everywhere lately. Not the least of which is  rickgriffin and his work. Anywho, it got me thinking that I want to get some practice making anthros of those fun little ball-dwellers.

So anyway, I wanna draw four pokemorphs, one from each of the generations, Red/Blue/Firered/Leafgreen, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, and Pearl/Diamond.

But, I need ideas, so I'm going to take some suggestions. However, I want to be at least a little original, so if at all possible, try to avoid the ones that you see everywhere (i.e. pikachu, lucario, arcanine.. etc) Work your minds, expand your horizons, think of some of the pokemon you don't see every day. I want a challenge. So... any ideas, people?

I know I said I was going to work on my comics again, and I am, but I got an idea for a project I can do on the side, too. I'm Wiccan, and into Tarot cards and the like, so I thought, what if I drew my own deck of Furry Tarot cards?

Now, I don't think I have it in me to do all 78 cards, at least not right away, but I figure I could at least do the 22 Major Arcana. Now, the only question is, what species to use on each card? I've got some idea for a few cards already, and most of those are still up for debate. So, basically, I'm just hoping for some help brainstorming what to draw for each card. Some of you are aware that I started working on a comic a few months back, and haven't updated in forever. It's called "The Change" and is the background and history of my fursona, Cooper. Well, I want to get back into working on comics again now that my style has had a chance to improve, but I've had a bunch of ideas for new storylines.

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Look, I've got nothing against scalies or dragons or things with boobs, but that is NOT Fender! I was quite frankly surprised when I saw so many journals last month with people saying how much they liked the dragon version of Fender. Well, whatever, it was only a joke, right? What about the rest of us who prefer the cute, furry version? I mean, this place is called FUR Affinity, after all. Shouldn't the mascot be just a little bit fluffy?

I really hope the June banner brings back the original Fender that so many of us know and love.

I'm looking to get a piece of art commissioned, but I've never done something like this before.

I know what I want, and exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm having trouble deciding which artist to request it from. I've taken a look at everyone on my watch list, and there are many whose styles would be perfect for this. However, I want more than just the characters.

I also want a detailed background. In the picture I have in mind, setting is everything, so I need an artist who is talented with backgrounds.

So, basically, what I'm asking is, if any of you have a favorite artist, or just know of someone who can create really beautiful whole-scene pictures, or even if you yourself are good at that sort of thing, please let me know.

PS. It would help if any artists recommended were accepting commissions. All the talent in the world is useless if the artist isn't accepting commissions. So, if you know that someone isn't accepting commissions, there's not much point in letting me know.

EDIT: Okay, people have asked for details, so I'm gonna give them. What I specifically want is a two character colored picture, with very detailed background. A night-time setting, but with an eye toward interesting lighting effects, from moonlight, lightning, etc. Being able to include water in the scenery would be a big plus. Whether it's done digitally or with markers or whatever on paper/bristol/etc, isn't really an issue. Either way is fine.

This picture is going to be very mood-heavy, where light and color play a large role, but I'm reluctant to give too much more information, for fear of giving away too much to a certain person/people who stand a chance of reading this.

Okay, I'm sick and in pain, so I'll share the love.

This is February, the month of Valentine's Day. Great and dandy, right? Yeah, sure it is. But stop bitching about it, single folks!

I'm sorry, but calling it Single Awareness Day, or National Depression Day, or whatever else you can imagine, is just irritating! Yes, this is a holiday for couples and people who are in a relationship. If you happen to be single, whether by choice or circumstance, stop trying to drag this holiday through the mud!

And before anyone says, "Well, you've got someone, you don't understand!", let me say, Yes I do! I wasn't always in a realtionship, you know! Yes, I've felt lonely before, and yes I've wanted someone close to me before when I had no one. But ya know what? When I was single and Valentine's Day rolled around, you know what I did? NOTHING!! I didn't bitch or whine or complain. I treated it like any other day. I didn't have someone special, so the freakin' holiday didn't apply to me. I felt good for the folks who could be romantic and enjoy time with their loved ones, but for me, it's just another day in the year, like any other!

So, stop whining and crying because you're single, get over it, and let the people the day was actually designed for enjoy it!

Okay, here's something that's been on my mind lately, that I feel I should say.

Gift art/art trades/any kind of art involving me or my characters:
I like it. I love receiving gifts, I love seeing art of my characters. And, I really don't care what kind of art I get. Specifically, yiffy. I haven't gotten much yiffy gift art, but I don't mind when I do. BTW, this is not some sad attempt at discreetly asking for gift art, yiffy or otherwise. That's not my style. If I ask for art, it's either a trade or a commission. If I get gift art, great! If not, that's fine, too. The entire point of this journal is to explain the one exception to my rule.

Chibis.

I don't mind seeing yiffy art of my characters, but I'd better not ever see my Chibis. Chibi Fox, and in fact, all of my Chibis, are designed to be pure, innocent, and a touch naive. They don't yiff. They don't have sex. They wouldn't know how. Have you noted that I rarely, if ever, draw clothes on my Chibis? Look closely between their legs. What do you see? NOTHING! Chibis are a unique creation of mine, at least, my version of Chibis are. The most "intimate" thing I've ever drawn Chibis doing was one picture where I drew Chibi Tim kissing Chibi Fox on the cheek.

All I'm saying is, if you want to make gift art for me, great! If you want to make yiffy gift art for me, super! If you want to make gift art for me of Chibi Fox, or any other Chibi, awesome! If you get the idea to mix those two ideas, gods help you! If ANY artist shows me a picture of one of MY Chibis doing anything more yiffy than the aforementioned "kiss on the cheek" scenario, I will find a way to make you pay. Chibi Fox is an important part of me, and the Chibis I have created to keep him company are very much the same. If you create yiffy Chibi art, you will offend and upset me beyond anything I've dealt with before.

Also note, I am posting this journal as a beforehand thing. I have not seen any yiffy Chibi art, and do not wish to. I do not believe the people who so far have created gift art for me would create yiffy Chibi art. I am saying this simply to get it out in the open, so everyone knows and there is no doubt. I don't want someone to think they are being clever or nice by creating art for me and end up getting me really angry.

So... just a heads up. Sorry if I came across as harsh or cruel here. Just lettin' y'all know.
