A Venture into Infinity [Submitted!]
Posted 14 years agoI have finally submited my first entry, part of what I hope to turn into an ongoing series. The first chapter is currently up and will get a follow up within a week or two if well recieved. Posted 14 years agoWell, I will soon be getting to work on writing my first submission here , but in the meanwhile I will be posting ideas as they come along, both to give a bit of an idea of what to expect aswell as compile and compare ideas. If you have anything to add such as suggestions , advise and so on - then feel free to add it. Once again, nothing I like better then seeing others get involved. The first chapter should be complete at the very latest by the end of february, and depending on the feedback I will post the next chapter on the following month (or earlier).
And with that out of the way, I will be starting the writing process very soon! I hope to upload the first chapter by the end of this week, it shan't be too long but it will act as an introduction to the setting and the main characters. There is alot more I have taken into consideration then the ideas listed above, so fear not! There will be alot more substance.
UPDATE: Minor chance of delays in submission date, I might have to move it to sometime next week due to extra work.
Things that are confirmed thusfar
This will take place in an alternate world in a universe rich with magical energy and cosmic anomalies. The characters and in turn many of the world's inhabitants will be evolved and tampered now-anthropomorphic animals. This will serve a major plot point later on.The use of magic will not be super-prominant, even though it plays an important part in the world's history. It will be viewed in a benevolent light, used by few.Due to a staunch dislike for one another in the past , most species will live in their own settlements and civilizations. Some mixed-race nations will exist, but only the overall advanced ones.Cultures and technology levels will vary greatly between different parts of the world and different cultures. For example, fox-nation-A may be advanced enough to be able to use steam-based transporation or create an entire industry, but rabbit-group-B several hundred miles away may still be using swords and spears, and depend more on wood and hemp.Deistic worship - while slightly varying between cultures, will focus on a very small pantheon of gods.The world's livestock and it's wild creatures will be otherworldly and foreign. This will be explained in the introduction.
The story will follow a single pair of protagonists. I am hoping to introduce another protagonist or group of protagonists to follow later on. It will help provide a broader narrative.
A main antagonist will not be introduced at first, but will appear later on. But not before making his presence felt every so often!And with that out of the way, I will be starting the writing process very soon! Posted 14 years agoWell, not that many of you out there would be reading this but I might aswell put one up. I'm yet to actually submit anything but I am currently mulling over submitting a mixture of pixel art (once in a while, and yet again, your milage may vary as mine is NOT that good) and of course, literature. I hope to of course make this in the taste of my fellow viewers, so of course. If you are one of the few people who have somehow bumped into this.
What have you never seen done before?
What would you like to see?
The more I know the faster I can think things up. I look forward to integrating with the community and wish you all some happy holidays and a purrfect new year!
UPDATE: I am constructing the basic summary for what the story will be about. Seeing as it will be my first post here, I am focusing on making it a short story, with plenty of room for critique.
[#] I am probably going for a pure fantasy setting, or at the very least set in a medieval period (Perhaps ~500-1400s?)
[#] While I have not yet fully figured out the extent of characters, I plan on introducing one-shots (though chances are I will pick a character to be recurring), and focus more on one-on-one character contact.
[#] While I plan to lean towards it being a bit more on the light-hearted side, I will probably include a little preview of what the rest of my works will be like. Content of graphically violent nature will be present, as to be expected. While I have not yet openly written content of a more sexual nature, I might include it on my future works.
