I don’t know if to come back to FA.
Posted 4 years agoI have been absent for around 2 years in FA and to my followers I apologize. But I no longer feel that staying in the fandom is a healthy thing for me.
While I still enjoy some of the friends I made in the fandom, a lot of drama, absolutely horrendous acts by the community and some self reflection I decided that staying in the fandom was just toxic and detrimental to my well being.
I no longer enjoyed being “part” of the fandom but I still enjoy anthro characters.
I will still draw anthro characters and I love my character Daku and I am thinking of exploring his character in the future. But I am no longer comfortable with NSFW art.

I want to pursue another style.
Posted 6 years agoI like my style right now and would love to evolve it more, but what I have always wanted is to do a more "painterly" style rather than with outlines and stuff, though I don't know how to transition my commissions into it. If anyone got ideas it would be appreciated. ^^

This mean I can finally finish stuff I owed, personal works, and after that get on to making commissions again. :)

Feelings of Worthlessness

I don't do much, I sleep, I wake and surf the web.
Every day I feel like nothing, like if roaches under my bed are more worthwhile than I.
The voices in my head spin me like a ballerina in hot hole of boiling acid and rancid excrement where I indulge in its horrid spew of toxic concoctions.
I hate myself I say.... I say it all day in my head.
In the shower I cry where I cant feel my tears.
The feeling of dying increases and much cant be done.
The fight is eternal and I only need to lose one day to fall deep into the abyss once more which I might not escape as luckily as I used to.
I don't do much, I sleep, I wake and surf the web.

Jobless and with a Broken Tablet

I had to leave my job at the Chinese restaurant, they wanted me to be fast as a 5 star pro chef and they payed me minimum wage + I almost cut my fingers a few times, and even though they promised a work insurance it never came. I was starting to get infections because of the cuts in my hands and having to clean up dirty dishes with no gloves (they were reluctant to give em up because it costed money... to buy another 1$ pack...).
Though I have no hard feelings towards the owners, I know em personally and go and eat there all the time, is just that the working conditions where not optimal and they asked waaay too much, not paying extra time and the aforementioned lack of insurance broke the camels back.
On other news, my old Wacom tablet finally broke, the USB connector started to get loose and disconnecting until it finally stopped working altogether, so I gotta send it for repairs or buy a new tablet, whatever comes first. Unfortunately because of this I can't do any digital work until then.
I think I am gonna try going to McDonalds and see if I land a temporal job.
So yea, maybe I'll post some pics which is another hobby of mine in the meantime, just don't expect me to around much besides commenting and faving stuff. I will try to keep updates on my status for anybody who cares.

I finally got a job!
Posted 8 years agoSome of you (if any) might be wondering where have I been, well, for the last month I have been getting some certificates for food manipulation and actually finding a job as a cook (or anything food related) fot he last month.
And I finally got it!
In a chinese restaurant...
at minimum wage...
and just a single day free in the week...
BUT HEY! ITS A JOB! NO MORE RAMMEN INSTANT NOODLE FOR ME! (...maybe...)

So yea... Now seriously, I wont be able to be around much until I can actually afford a new PC since the one I am using is pretty much dying on me and drawing is a constant pain in the ass on this.
Also I have been working on videogame project for the last few months. I know promised I was gonna do a free sketch stream on Halloween, but it seems my schedule will be completely dedicated to the videogame project and my job. I promise to those who already traded with me art that I will eventually get to it and those who havent give me anything to leave it that way (unless you have already started working on it :S).
Why I got a job and stopped taking in commissions? Well, it was just not profitable, It takes me over 15 days to finish a pic of a single character in a painted style and I only get around 300$, besides not everyone wants a commission like that one so doing 7$ sketches ain't gonna pay the bill either. I love drawing and I wish to come back when I am able to, but for now it is completely non-profitable and so I can't help but draw as a hobby in my free time.
Hopefully by the end of the year I'd have enough money for a new PC, or at least one that isn't dying and be able to get back to work on art which is my passion.
So yea, if anyone was wondering, that is what is going on right now.
TL:DR version: I will still be around commenting, posting some quick stuff and whatnot, but for the time being commissions are closed indefinitely and I wont be as active as I used to be due to my work schedule. I will still however be doing any trades and commissions I owe, I just ask people to be patient.

Posted 8 years agoHi, some of my followers might have noticed that I have been quiet inactive for the last couple of months, but there is a reason for this.
First of all I am cleaning up my home, solving some family issues (move outs and illnesses), finding an stable job to buy a computer and working on some personal projects of mine.
You guys might be interested in knowing what this project might be, but for now I cant say much as I am working with a team and cant make any promises just yet, though I promise it will be an exiting thing for you guys and I am pumped up to get on to it.
Also My birthday is coming up this September 3rd so.... that's a thing I have had to plan to be with my family. And also getting a course on food handling to finally get a paying job.
Also I am still working on the Art trades so don't be upset, they are coming... just maybe a bit slow at the moment. Besides some of you haven't shown anything of the work that you have done on your side. And if anyone want to cancel their trade feel free to tell me via PM.
The Raffle art is still gonna be made, its just gonna take time to get to it so don't fret.

I am currently disabling my Patreon as I really don't have all that much content to offer just now, hopefully in the future I will post up WIP's and else, besides I didn't had any patrons, so no harm no foul. XD

I also have been working on various side projects, and I am trying to crank up the amount I post, hopefully I will post more in the following weeks, even if its a bit of filler. Would that be ok? I kinda don't want to post unfinished work or just sketches if nobody is interested.
Also I don't know if you have seen but I recently became a grandfather to 3 kittens! I will try top post a bunch of of the best pics I got of em,, so you can expect that. :3
I have also been looking for a more stable job, so I can keep myself afloat while commissions and trades are being made. Hopefully I will get one soon. :)
So far things are shaping pretty good I'd say. I'd love to talk about my side projects but I need to solidify em a little bit more before actually promising anything, I just hope you guys might enjoy it when it comes to it.
I was hoping to open up commissions later this month, maybe I will take just 1 big one if any.
Also Halloween free sketch Stream is definitely a thing. I really enjoyed it last year and I want to do it again! But better! I will put up a few extra rules to how I will manage it so it can be more engaging and I can draw even more interesting characters!
Also I have been thinking of moving this account elsewhere to re-brand my name as CyberMark instead of CostaRic, but I'm afraid people wont get the memo and I will just end up dividing my watchers? Please tell me what you think!
