omg guys... This weekend was incredible and incredibly exhausting lol

It was awesome to meet and chat with some of my art inspirations:  vantid,  nambroth,  ifus,  shinigamigirl, and  hibbary.

I also commissioned  keedot and  spartadog while I was there!

It was thrilling to meet  nightspiritwing,  tehalbi,  MunchyPaws,  Soba and  OnTheBackOfBulletsRidesMyName in person.

I was so happy that I finally got to catch up and chat my face off with  shottsy85! And I was happy to make some new friends as well!  seraphimmoonshadow  obsidianunderground,  stripedpanther, and  tiggercat12!

Hibbary and Ifus agreed that the Artist's Alley is a great place to start next year so I'm going to start plotting some ideas for AC2016: Roaring 1920's theme!

I have felt a lack of confidence in my art.

Part has been the fact that I feel pressured to make sellable art again.
I don't believe anyone wants to buy prints or originals from me...

I want to work on traditional art while I have more sunlight in my art-room after work.

And I need Chris to fix my computer so I can do more digital art as well.

I'm sorry I haven't been as responsive as usual and even a little snappy at times in the past few weeks. I've been depressed off and on since I heard the initial news that Starbuck had liver cancer. I figured that my only solution was to see her. Chris and I came to the conclusion that it would just be best for me to go alone and see her for a weekend (much cheaper for a single ticket and he was willing to help pay.)

I just called my aunt now with the hopes of scheduling a time for myself to go out and see Starbuck this weekend. She told me that she had been too upset to tell me sooner but Starbuck was put to sleep at the vet last week.

Starbuck hadn't been eating except small bits of food and pills that my aunt fed to her by hand. Starbuck had lost over 20lbs... she was weak and dehydrated (her paw pads were so cracked dry that she couldn't walk comfortably) but she was determined to go for walks every day (she had the determination that my mom did.) In her last two days, she kept my aunt awake as she cried from pain (even with morphine pills.) When my aunt took her to the vet, my aunt held Starbuck and pet her as she fell asleep in her arms so that she knew she was loved. "It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make." my aunt said. But I agreed that it was best for Starbuck; it wasn't fair to make her suffer any more.

A few days after Starbuck was laid to rest, my aunt was taking Arrow for a walk and she saw a circular rainbow around the sun. She said she has never seen anything like it; not in person and not on the internet either. She feels that maybe Starbuck and my mom (her sister) are now happy together.

I regret not being able to see her one last time but I'm far more relieved that she isn't suffering.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers, words of support, donations, and art contributions. You have all helped to add a little brightness while I've been trying to cope with the stress and worry. As I said to Nippon-Okami on DA "I've lost my mother, my grandmothers, and many pets in the recent past but Starbuck has so much of an influence on my art and she's living with my aunt on the west coast - losing her is like losing a part of my art and a part of me." She will remain a part of my heart and one of the greatest contributors to my artwork.

I hope to use some of the donations toward seeing Arrow before he passes away (he is 13-years-old, losing his hearing, and living with arthritis and Cushing's disease) and some toward my friends  InsaneRoman and  AmuroNOVA (both of which are incredibly sweet people but have miserable family situations, poor living conditions, and not enough money for food or transportation.)

Now that I've stopped crying, I should go tell Chris the news.

omg I was just visiting friends with Chris in Pittsburgh two weekends ago! And the crazy thing is that we were talking about AnthroCon and I had NO IDEA it was July 4th weekend Dx I really want to go (it would be my first Con since I was sick for the End of The World con in Rochester) but I probably wouldn't be able to go. Chris and I celebrate with the family in Buffalo and we were JUST in Pittsburgh! ARGH!

Well, I can take commissions for those who are going! I can really use the commissions since I still need to save up to see my Siberian Husky before she's gone...

Holy cow, that winter sucked! D: Laid-off in the fall, start up work at a HUGE company the week of Thanksgiving, get sick over 9 times between then and April X_____x I kept telling my fiancé "I'm sorry you're engaged to a dead person" xD

I'm sorry I've been gone - I'm sorry I didn't go to the End of the World Con like I wanted to - I've just never been this sick for this long. x____x I'm the healthiest I've ever been but I'm working in a huge office building with people that come to work sick - they share their cooties with me instead of staying home and getting better. T___T So I'm on head-cold #5 since mid-November.

On the plus side, I did get one week-long break from the sickness in the north-east and traveled to Disney World with my boyfriend and his family. On the first day at the parks, he proposed to me! He was super cute and romantic about it too; right before the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, in the rose garden right in front of the castle! I'm officially engaged and wearing a beautiful lab-created emerald and white-gold ring!

So happy!

Now if I could only get rid of the stupid head-cold marathon I've been having. :P

Hi everyone!!

I want to thank everyone and apologize to everyone for watching me just as I got hired for a new job that's taking up all my time! ><

I'm working at a large corporation during the day, then I spend many of my evenings with my boyfriend curling (that's right! That Scottish winter sport with the rocks and brooms!) By the time all that is over, it's about 11pm or so - which is past my bedtime and the cycle begins again.

Plus the weekends are busy with the holidays coming up. My boyfriend's parents own a greenhouse and Christmas tree farm and sell them from their home so there are a lot of things to do (and hauling trees :P lol) as Christmas approaches.

I feel a little silly that I applied for an advertisement when I thought I'd be unemployed for a lot longer than 2 months... I guess the corporate world isn't done with me yet! xD

Anyways, I hope to get back into a groove where I can create more art, take commissions, etc again!

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately - I've been trying to get a job (going to unemployment meetings, interviews, etc.) and stressing out about family, friends, people that are no longer friends of mine, commissions, and the stupid over-hyped hurricane. (I feel terrible that it caused many people strife and even killed some people but in upstate New York, the casualties were about as bad as a few fallen trees and lost power. Some of the pictures from NYC and NJ coast are incredible: http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/29/us/tr.....ndy/index.html A friend of mine about 30minutes away said that a tree fell in her neighborhood on Monday. However, the worst I experienced in Rochester was a pot of Mums blew off the porch step and rolled under my parked car. lol)

I've been having terrible stomach-aches over the past few days. They aren't constant but when they happen, it hurts so much I can't think straight and I feel like I might throw up from the pain. Last night, it started around 9pm and went until 12am or so. But Monday it started at 1pm and ended around 11pm. Today is going much better (so far) though! I managed to meet up with my bf for lunch. :) But driving to see him and driving back has just taken a lot out of me. I feel really groggy right now and I think I just need to rest some more.

I have one commission on deck for  fawxpawz - I'm hoping to get to it when I don't feel so crappy. My guess is tomorrow or Friday will be ideal for that.

Anyways... I already did Halloween-like stuff last Saturday (dressed up in my "Midnight Priestess" costume and helped my bf with his Aqua Teen Hunger Force "Master Shake" costume while watching old Simpsons Halloween episodes. Then we did apple tastings and bar-crawls with friends) What are you guys up to today? Did you do/will you do something cool for Halloween?

I was AMAZED to see that there was a convention being held in my city - Rochester, NY! I kinda feel compelled to go! I always felt like conventions have always been so stealthy (either I don't realize they're happening or they happen so far away! lol)

Just in case you didn't know, I'm not a true furry - I just draw myself as a wolf since I don't like drawing people lol - and I may or may not be terrified by people in fur-suits (I think Fur-suits are cool. I have a lot of great internet friends that are furries. And I whole-heartedly support the furry community! But I usually don't feel comfy around people that are in disguise, costume, or even sunglasses xD - it's the whole not-being-able-to-see-their-eyes-looking-at-me-thing... I think? lol) but I'd be interested in going to a convention if I knew enough people there!

And does anyone know more about how conventions run (what goes on, what to prepare for, what happens, what I'll see, what I'll do, How long they go, etc?) so that I don't feel like a total n00b if I go? Looks like it's mostly going to be about drinking and dancing - both of which I haven't done in a while! xD

As for supplies, I have TONS of badges... and I could wear all grey clothes (I have a nice grey hooded sweater that has faux-fur around the hood, grey pants, and grey fingerless gloves)... but that's about all I got. Might bring a magenta helium balloon for company? lol

Also - I just did some research and discovered tables are $25! That's cheap, right? Or should I just network with furs that don't know me yet? I have business cards! :D

Any takers? Thoughts? Suggestions? Anybody? Anybody?

With the Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/crazdude ), Livestream ( http://www.livestream.com/Crazdude ), Daily Deviation yesterday, Crazdude Fan Club on DA founded today ( http://Crazdude-fc.deviantart.com ), pixel commissions, and getting some gorgeous commissions from awesome artists like  whitespiritwolf! I don't know what to do with myself, I'm so giddy!

Now, I just need to hurry up with my art technique, spend more time practicing, and get my WACOM Intuos4 tablet repaired, then I'll be back in business (with digital paintings!)
