So. Just when I thought I was done getting fucked by taxes, I get a letter in the mail that says that I've been late on my payments and actually owe $5000 by the 26th of this month because turns out making a payment plan and agreeing for the funds to be directly taken from my bank and putting the information doesn't do shit and actually I still have to manually go in and pay for it myself.... unlike the estimated taxes that I'm paying that do get taken out.

It's probably too early to make big plans for the next few months, but I think what I'll do is
1) Finish what Comms I have rn, and take on some more for this month
2) Do Juicy Juicy Prompts for next month, handled in the same way as the cursed items, those are probably gonna be 60 each
3) Do group pic in August, but open for it this month (and next month as well) and just be really clear that it won't be started for a few months and won't be finished for even longer.

I know I'm not the first person to comment on the policy update, nor the last person, but I still shall.

I don't believe that this update will really change how things are policed that much, all it did was draw attention to the rules already in place, honestly. Beyond that, it doesn't really affect me, nor most of the artists I follow. so many people seem to misunderstand the very nature of it, even at its worst reading it does not ban pokemon art, it just moderates explicit porn of things. And yet, the damage is done.

I can't say, in my 11 years on this site, that I've ever seen so many people wipe their account, so many people vow to leave forever, so many people scattered to the wind, and it doesn't matter what Furaffinity does at this point, they're gone. It makes me sad, scared, and depressed as all hell.

I don't know what will happen, I don't know what to do, I don't know if this is going to impact my bottom line, but nothing to do but just wait out the storm, pick up the pieces and mourn the innumerable losses this has caused to this community.

I recently drew a character from Tears of the Kingdom, both normal and chonky. It's not really a spoiler, other than their design, but you do meet them very very early in the game, like, basically in the opening cutscene.

So, because this 170-some person group picture just needed to get crazier, I decided I needed to add some cakebolds (ref for them is in the form)!

And since I'm tired of being creative, I'd rather have them utilize the designs of other people, rather than coming up with them myself.

So I'm opening up lil free cameos as a cakebold in the picture. Not everyone who fills out a form will be drawn, I won't be doing any sort of random pic, I'll just choose designs I like, and try and pic people that I haven't drawn in a while, and I won't be saying explicitly who got in or not until I just post the picture, cause I don't want this to drag down and delay the entire picture.

There has been a massive uptick of horror stories from my fellow artists, of their PayPal being locked and their funds lost to the PayPal gods for using it in relation to commissioned art, (mostly NSFW, but lots more stories of just the word 'commission' triggering it)

As such, I am looking for alternatives that others use, preferably ones that allow invoicing and payment by credit card like PayPal allows.

Square is an option that I'm looking into, just because it is so widely used, but their TOS is very vague and sparse on the topic of prohibited uses in regards to NSFW art. (PayPal is very expressly against it)

Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated, as someone who relies solely on commissions to make a living!

It has been brought to my attention that some allegations have come out about Maxon_Wolf, who was formerly the Ensign in my comic. In response I will be removing him from the comic and reworking the pages that have already been done with a new character in his place.

I wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about Smasher or abandoned it, I just underestimated how busy my life would be for such an extended period of time. I wanted to give some explanations and let you know my current situation and development plan.

The original plan and life situation: I worked on the level editor to get it released ASAP, I didn't quite get it done before school started up, but I did finish the update shortly after.

I was originally going to graduate from university in December, and resume development after graduation. However, due to a misunderstanding in my plan of study, I needed to attend for an additional term.

I thought that I would be less busy than I was the previous term due to a lighter course-load and lack of prep needed for some really important exams. I was wrong, but also extra busy due to factors that will be discussed shortly.

My current term of school ends in mid-March, but immediately after, I'm moving across the US to be with my significant other. Due to this, a couple of things are complicating things. For one, I'll be without my main computer for about a month as it ships to my new place.

Additionally, in order to pay for the move, I picked up some extra work in the form a YCH comic, which has also been eating into my time.

So what's the plan? When can you expect more Smasher?

After I graduate in March and move right around the beginning of April, I'll be taking some time to decompress and tinker with some smaller projects. While I won't have my main workstation, I'll have my laptop, which can handle development on small, and sort of weird little game projects. I should be receiving my workstation around the 25th of April, and from there, should finally be able to resume some work on Smasher, starting with some much-needed improvements to the level editor, power system, new levels, and bug fixes.

I did also want to say that I very much want to make more games than just Smasher and those smaller projects in the interim, expect them in the coming year(s)!

Holy cow, that's one hell of a number. Hard to wrap my brain around it, and how quick it snuck up on me! I feel like I celebrated 2K like, last year.

Hey! Letting you all know that Smasher is officially released on Steam, I'll be making quite a fuss about it in the coming days with some art and adverts.

The game has gotten a nice shiny new coat of paint, with levels redecorated and whatnot, and one redesigned level from the ground up.

You can also set all of the NPCs' skins to whomstever you want!

And the part that most people are probably most interested in:
You can now make your own skins, and there's templates and a tutorial baked into the game's files.

Okay, I think I have most of the ideas figured out for my YCH project thingy, just not like, whether it's auction, multislot, I just do it as gifts to people, and like, pricing.

For those of you that don't know, the idea is: Wizard Wonka

Basically the Wonka factory tour, but instead of it being a candy factory, it's the sprawling abode of an eccentric and reclusive wizard. Instead of Oompa Loompas, they have an army of kobolds, instead of dabbling in TV tech, they're dabbling in transmutation.

I actually have idea enough for 8 slots (one of which being Wonka themselves) rather than just 5. I'll be revealing the actual slot themes a little later when it's closer to when I'll be opening it up. Don't worry, all the staples will be there, plus some.

As much as I dislike auctions, it does sort of seem to be a natural fit, as comics are quite time consuming, and expensive, but at the same time, if someone does want to pay that much via auction, I can offer more pages. Auctions self-regulate the interest in them, basically. I'm also not against personalizing these pages so they fit the character, or adding specific shots, etc; more than just swapping out one character for another.

That being said, I do know I will be doing a multislot for the kobolds, (non-kobold characters will be kobold-ified) which will be a flat price, probably $20 or so. Maybe a bit more to choose exactly where you're wanting to be, instead of a 'put me anywhere' slot.

What do you all think?

I'm making a much more thought out response to this issue regarding me, but it'll take some time.

The tl;dr is that what I thought was wrong, and I'm sorry. I've talked with friends and understand the gravity of the situation.

@/Bitkitano will be removed from Smasher, and I've cut any ties I had to them, and will be doing so with any other artists and followers who are underage ASAP. What I had thought is "cartoons show this stuff all the time, what's the harm? Especially when we all did it, we all drew it when we were underage".

And whatever people do, minors will still find their way in. What I failed to realize, is any avocation is an invitation for worse and more sexual content, regardless of how I view my own art, it's expression and interpretation.

For this I am truly sorry.

If you still would like your skins removed from Smasher and a refund, even after this change in decision, please let me know, and I will accommodate it.

Just posted a MASSIVE update to my game, Smasher and the Will o’ the Thiccs! 8 totally new levels, a new mode, and over 200 player skins, I have put a ton of work into it!

It’s a public beta, so any bugs will be printed to the console, and be fixed before the final final release (assuming y’all let me know)

Today in a bugtest, the error log had over 32000 entries, no exaggeration.

So I have some more work to do. It's certainly playable, and it doesn't impact the player's end very much, but I'd rather iron these things out before I release it to the public.
