Posted 7 years agoI am around but have been busy with work. 14 to 18 hour days are a killer. I haven't gone to AC or any cons as of late due to things at home. Grandmother passed away coming up on 2 years now as it will be in November. Had a lot go on with my father. Almost lost him twice as he "coded" in the hospital on two different times.
After all the insane things that went on, mostly went and worked while I could. Also Lost connection with a lot of people. I want to reconnect and possibly get back to having a more social life again both irl and in the fandom again. Trying to make it to the meets on time has become a tad difficult as I work Saturdays off and on now. I always have Sundays off which is a plus. Definitely can hang with people close by that are local in my off time. Hopefully or maybe I can bum around with some people that play LoL, a couple steam games or possibly more often on discord? It's just that I want to keep my sanity. I also want to make sure people know I didn't vanish or fall off the face of the earth. ^.^; If you want to talk to me or add me on Discord; Steam or LoL definitely welcome to PM.

AC2016 and looking back
Posted 9 years agoWell first off, I did have more fun this year then last year. :D Slept like a rock every night though from Thurs to Sun. Got a lot of good compliments on the fur suit through the weekend along with questions on who made it. Told them to give Hindpaws love cause he is the maker of the vappy suite. :3
First day was all reg day and just getting things together. Didn't hang with anyone or socialize much due to being tired from the drive and the week alone.
Friday, it was fun from there on. 12 hours of suiting and went to a good amount of panels while in suite. Met a couple new people to. :D I did go to 2-Gryphons show and it was a shock to see Alkali start that one off. XD Funny standup from beginning to end.
Satuday, well another 12+ hours of suiting. Ran into a lot of people and I got hugged a lot (pretty much was hugged and asked for photos all day Friday to lol). A shout to the pokefurs I met at the con. :D You guys were awesome being around and meeting. The pokefur shoot was best idea ever! Also we should get our own panel next year fur a meet n greet since there are so many of us; united in one room. :D
Sunday, well... I did my good byes and traveled home. I watched the closing cermonies on the laptop and enjoyed every bit of what was streamed. Sadly it was not possible for me to stay one more night due to budget constrants. I would have if I could.

So if ya see a big blue vaporeon (even though some people for some reaosn call it a dragon when it is not >.> )... that's me. 6'2" vappy walking around the convention center. Hopefully my body can hold out this year due to health issues that have been happening as of late.

I do not know if anyone is still looking for a room or not but over the past couple weeks, 3 spots opened up really fast for the room. So if anyone is interested or if you know someone looking for a room, please let me know. Only 2 people right now and we definitely got room for people.

Posted 10 years agoJust curious if it is even worth it to play FFXIV online. Never took the chance to finish installing the game or even make a character. I do not remember seeing anything in the TOS about the 30 day starting until after at least one character is made. Debating if I should even bother with it or just sell the game. Just feel it isn't worth a hastle atm after going through most of the trouble even making a squar enix account. So any input would be of help, please and thx.

However it will be after work which I am hoping will be a short day. As for picking up anything there for peeps, kinda little to no interest and to be honest I would have sent the stuff by mail. eh well...
So far here it has been nothing but nuts. Between the new terrorist threat, parking at hotel to just getting to places in one piece. 12 miles = 1.5 hours of on the road which sucks but you see a lot happen. Well that and many crazy people to. lol

Small update
Posted 10 years agoB-day long gone and still traveling as always. Now in a city built on swampland. I am also staying in a 1920's style hotel which has it's charm. still learning about Williamsport, PA and the driving here is pretty decent. Just a quiet city. I am sure things happen but easy and seemingly safe to walk around at anytime of day and night. So ya not much of an update but that is all I have for now.

NYC return, work trip 3
Posted 10 years agoAnother life update: Got the info this week that i will be flown into jfk airport in NYC for 2 weeks straight. Going to be a long two weeks. After that I come home and do normal work locally (mostly traveling between Buffalo and Syracuse). Middle of August I will be down near Endicott, NY but more around the Sayre PA area. When all of it is said and done, I have no clue if I will be home last week of August. Time will tell I guess. I just hope to be home during the beginning of September for some relaxing time with family.
Other things: I won't be on Skype often during this time or be around much, (very few people talk to me on there anyways.)
So ya only thoughts I have atm. Been crazy with things and probably won't be uploading any drawings of mine any longer either on here. I plan to slowly over time go over to weasyl since that site has become more favorable. I will still be active here on FA but not as much.
Other things: I won't be on Skype often during this time or be around much, (very few people talk to me on there anyways.)

The Real Post AC Journal (Vappy Adventure at AC)
Posted 10 years agoAC started off slow for me since the first couple days were bleh.
Got in on Wed. night and met most of the roomates for the first time ever, 13 people in all. XD Twas nuts but had so much room to sleep in. Made one room literally into a bed so 6-7 of us have someplace to sleep at one time.
Thursday was all registration and getting things to go for the time over the weekend. Also got a journal of what went on that exact day though so not going to bring anything of that day up.
Friday was the day that was half and half for me. I had work to do so I did it and lost half of the con day. Soon as I got back I literally got out of my work clothes and into normal clothes before going to the dealers den. Met Tartii and Dagger in the den along with many other people that day even though it was just before the closing of the dealer's den. Really didn't run into or meet anyone else. For about 4 hours after I was running around in my vapy suit for fun and enjoying the time. I think all I did after that was gaming and relaxing before the next day.
Saturday was insane but fun as all hell to. I met so many peoples omg @.@ forgive me if I miss someone cause I am trying to remember all the names atm (IF I miss ya just tell me plz :3 ). lol I know I had breakfast in the restaurant on the 2nd floor with Karisma before staying in the room until around 12pm playing Ori and the blind forest (yesh I love the game and hoping for a sequel). It was around 12:30 when I rushed down 24 floors worth of stairs and up 1 floor worth in fursuit to make it to the huge photo shoot. Going down that many stairs got me dizzy but managed it. Met Sparks the Raichu and got to see many other pokemonz that made it into the photshoot. The fursuit parade was a real test though and I mad it through the heat and humidity just to do it. I had to head back to the room though to get my feet paws fixed since the bottoms were coming off. After that though, I got hydrated back up and wandered in suit. That is when I started meeting a ton of people.

fyreflareon whom I introduced to :birdfox: and Kit in the dealers den. After the dealer's den closed I got to meet 
Candyfoxy . I also got to hang around with Kit, Fyre and Akira for awhile and all four of us went to uncle Kage's story time (I was still in full suit but didn't care XD ). Afterwards it was getting late and we split up to head back to hotel rooms. Had to get the fursuit off since by the time I got back I had it on for close to 10 hours. So many crazy people wanting photos etc that day. It was a really good day though.
Sunday was more of am I able to move around day for me. I battled through it, got breakfast, suited up again and wandered for fun. I was in the gaming room for awhile playing smash with a few peeps and doing ok but kinda got the hint I still need to get better with my main. However, I did not get knocked out first, it was always around the middle or last one to go. XD After all that fun, I went to closing ceremonies where I got to see some peeps one last time before the end of AC. It was mostly hanging around the hotel the rest of the night in the Westin. It was a fun night though for sure. :3
Monday was heading home day. Bit of a ride home but made it. I know I passed out after being home for awhile.
That was my AC experience and I did have a good time. :3

Posted 10 years agoUpdate: Things are ok at AC. Only part sucking is being alone most of the time. Also suited a bit today to. Walked around the hotel and convention. Got a few random hugs etc. Roommates i am with are good to. Still hoping to run into more people that I would like to meet. Met Tartti and Dagger at a semi busy time but good meeting them :3 stiill have not met fellow eeveelution friends D: Still want to before the con ends. I mean i do want to meet them hopefully. @.@
Rant: while i was walking around in suite, heard a few furs calling names etc behind my back. I am far from stupid and shure as hell not def. The fur community is suppose to be accepting and not pulling highschool BS. I mean grow the hell up. It is suppose to be a fun con and not a gossup con. I heard all of it going on while in suite. Want to talk about a fail eeveelution, I am turning a deaf ear to that. Just going to keep weariing the suit cause it is better then that one flareon that was scary as hell to look at the pictures of it. I love the fursuit I have and like wearing it a lot.

Another week
Posted 10 years agoWell since I came back, I maybe gone again pending on what work and home life brings about. Just really been busy irl. Been also getting back to people on skype when possible. Really depends on how much more work comes along. I think the most time i will have with furry stuff maybe at AC pending on what happens in the weeks prior and what will happen after.
As for the worker that was going to be let go, the DM already made the decision on that so I can just keep my hands clean on that. Had a talk with him and he took that bit away for me so I get the easier part which is deciding whom to hire. :3 That so far has been good since I do like meeting new people and training them how to do the work to.
All I really have for updates right now.

Posted 10 years agoSince I got moved up to a supervisor two months ago, I really have not had to make any hard decisions. Fixing up pharmacies and training new people was all pretty easy and also getting to know pharmacy owners was all good to. As part of the new agreed contract I signed, I have to make sure there is no false reporting (mostly when paperwork is turned in with all questions answered based on a certain pharmacy) on stores and that work is done on time and correctly across the board for the territory given. I also have to make sure that the person is going to the pharmacies to keep them updated so that nothing is expired on the shelves and nothing is really "outdated" for any part of the store.
Now here is the situation I am in at the moment. Got a person who was doing good up until December 2014 (I checked back before I became supervisor to get an idea how long it has been going on for). From Dec. 2014 until Feb. 2015 this person has false reported and not visited two of the six stores he is assigned. For March and April 2015, he has not been doing anything for any of the six stores he was assigned. Here is what is killing me, this same person has now been in a coma for the past two weeks. Also this same person has been in and out of the hospital since July 2014 and he is currently 35 years old.
I am seriously beside myself right now cause I know he broke contract prior to April but at the same time has a current serious medical condition. I have no clue what to do. I have not been in this situation ever while in a manager or supervisor's position. Any ideas or maybe some wisdom of maybe how to handle this? I'm all ears on this because I do not know what to do exactly. o.o;

Posted 10 years agoafter a bit of needed hiatus.. things settle down irl. Mostly a lot of personal things that was going on. Need time to recoup and also focus on a major job I had to get done in Elma, NY. So much in messages to go through o3o wow they added up like crazy.

Few things just recently happened irl and just need some time to get through it all. So no bowling meets for awhile and meetups for me. I'll post when I am back but until then won't really be here. 13,000 + active users on a normal basis is nothing to sneeze at. That is one thing IMVU looked at before buying the site. Also IMVU has a 1mil+ daily active users (I literally looked it up and saw it on a consistent basis), so why the buying of FA? Best answer is to have a step up over their competitors. Gaia, and second life are two big ones (personally not sure how well Gaia is surviving). Also this is 3 months into the buyout already but changes do take time and no need to be freaking out... well yet anyways. Keep in mind that IMVU is mainly interested in trying to knock off the second life user base (currently hovering around 600,000 active users daily) along with any that use Gaia in order to outdo them. It is what happens in the global market on a daily basis. I deal with it personally with the pharmaceutical side of it (Rite Aid, Wegmans and McKesson fighting over who owns what) all the time. It is business and presenting who has the better side of the market. All it is.
IMVU buying FA is definitely a risk but they would not have done it if they wouldn't see some kind of future benefit out of the deal. It can be a good long time before the true intentions come about anyways.
