Posted 12 years agoWhile I planned to write out the story for the new piece that 
just finished for me today, I ended up getting caught up in writing a rulebook for the RP setting that inspired the image.
A lot of work, my entire day working on that rulebook and I've still got a bit left to go on it.
I may publish it longterm in pdf though if I can get it in the right shape.
Takes a lot of inspiration from Shadowrun, and World of Darkness, but it's got a lot of tweaks and new features that are entirely my own.

I am not far away from two hundred people watching me.
While I do have writing of my own, and more in the process of being written, all the art in my gallery is other people's creations.
I am ever thankful to anyone who takes interest in my writing and characters.
I am waiting on my RMA on my tablet dock, hopefully when it gets back to me I can return to writing regularly again. Am planning to force myself either to get back to gift story or write a little of the fourth Talo chapter tomorrow. If I can't do either than I want to get a novel read through, either I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan or Madness of Angels by Kate Griffin.
Outside of a long walk and grocery shopping I hope to have most of the day free and since my video card replacement hasnt come I cant play The Secret World or Skyrim.
In Progress Story Synopsis:
Haligren's gift: Current title is 'Bastion'
Its a story set during world war II, in's world of her Amber Peace novel and features new cast as well as one of her characters. Its a play on Beauty and the Beast thematically but its intended purely as a horror story. Its about half written at 12k words but no progress since last december.
Talo story #4: Written during Talo's hunting days, during which she finds a mark in a female wolf who works as a teacher. Over the course of the story you find out why she is marked for death, and get to meet the first wolf Talo eats (very taboo). I am playing with how information is given to the audience in this amd the intent is to make Talo/Winter seem the horrifying one but understand her.
Aiyanna and Inola: I want to write up the story behind what happens to this pair from Trail of Tears: Quest - one of the three main storylines told during the mid point arc event in my campaign that Crys is in. Last we saw this pair, Aiyanna was still largely Fenris Wolf, having only regained small bits of her humanity. Inola was trying to help the poor survivors of Talequah OK rebuild the decimates portion of their city that was razed by the shadow servant and his minions. This will show what happens to Wisadejak, one of the only native american tricksters I used thats not going to be used in the finale plot of the campaign.
Hydra - A short vignette of the nightmare scenario illustrated in's awesome picture. I want to write this out and get it done as a horror story. Should feature body horror and loss of control and be the first time I have written something for an audience from inside Crys's head. Havent decided yet if it will be first person or third. Prose should be expansive and descriptive instead of Talo's fractured prose or the sharper tones used in the Hali gift story.
Hellhound - A companion vignette to go with
's illustration. This won't be nightmare based and should be TF focused instead of horror, probably non-cannon, a different version of Crys, maybe play with an alternate reality.

Posted 13 years agoTo properly differentiate between my character Crystala Khanna and my new Fursona I am going to give the latter a name and biography. Bare in mind if you know my real name than you can think of them as that but for now...
Name: Lily Tanner
Background:
Lily wasn't born this way, in fact new shape came early in the big change a few years back. Before that she lived a fairly innocuous life as an engineer with her partner. She wasn't always a hermaphrodite either, the new malebits being gifted on her in the same sweeping change that took her humanity. Like most, her change came in the night, waking up with new limbs and extremities and a layer of fur next to her still human partner.
Her other half reacted rather poorly initially but within a few weeks the two rekindled their relationship and even tried out her new parts, but the next morning they both arose to her wife sporting a brand new tail to match a very canine body.
They both are still together and navigating this new world, though honestly beyond the initial shock many had at waking up different genders and species society hasn't changed much though many of the remaining humans are just waiting for the change hit them too.

Watched a really terrible movie today

Its terrible, I expected as much when I saw the cover. But me and *werewolves... No its not healthy. I am obsessed and I like the occasional B-movie so I acquired it and watched it earlier today. As expected the movies acting is terrible, the cinema low budget and attempting to be like Black Death and failing in terms of cinematography style (Black death just came to mind, its not a good film nor am I recommending it but the cinematography is great)
The movie can't make its own mind up on period of time with costuming ridiculous and technology not consistent to earth. And its plot, just flat out silly.
The movie is a parody, you can tell it is, and was definitely filmed tongue in cheek by someone who knew they would have a tiny budget. It hits every horror trope blatantly and mocks them and tries everything to make you 'confuzed' as to who might be the werewolf. Ridiculous measures to the point of silly trying to obfucate it. The plot pushes so many levels of ridiculous.
The best part is the ending and I cant say more without spoiling. I had fun. I don't recommend it unless this is the exact kind of thing you want.

Posted 13 years agoSo, a few days of feeling better with only a minor setback, lots of excersize and better sleep already with the changes I am making. I am processing some of my strongest depression seeds and trying to make progress.
On the writing front I am halfway my gift story for but havent made progress since before christmas. I hit a block on my prose that has killed writing for at least a bit til I can work on stengthening my language til I am happier with it. I have the rest of the story plotted out and will return as soon as I am able. My old RP plot I am hesitant to write out the finale as it cheats the players out of changing the outcome and also says my decisions are final. That being said I do have the shape of the plot worked out including the last two big arc events of the plot detailed out. I mailed out some penciling in of hidden/undiscovered backstory to the origins of the great evil in my plotline and other spoilers, stuff I had worked out long ago before I started the coyote adventure. I also worked out plot for some NPCs I really liked from the Quest portion of the Trail of Tears arc and it may generate an actual short story or some artwork.
On the commissions front I have quite a bit. is shading my first attempt at a 'fursona' meant to help me with my body image while I find direction in life and accept this part of me into my life more. I have a touch or gender dysphoria, nothing serious but partly related to my insecurity with my body and difficulties expressing my sexuality although some if it is just complexities created by other things and hardly severe. I am making my first hermaphroditic to represent myself between while I settle for myself what I am and want to be. Hush did an excellent job shaping her, the leopard being the main part of what is me while the rabbit portion is more experiment for my friend and to challenge myself a bit. If it doesnt end up being me, I will turn them into a character to use and give it a separate life rather than my own.
has been working on my hydra tf for ages and is such a sweetie, sent me an mostly finished ink before he colors, always the perfectionist and while not the most timely their art is always worth it. Looking quite stellar and I can't wait to see it colored.
Still has two images left for me, an older Kaylah is up first in action, and then a proper reference sheet for Crystala. I may not be using her actively but she has a life of her own and has eaten large chunks of who I am and impacted me in surprising ways, so she deserves a permanent spot in my life.
so much art. Hali is the best artist I have ever commissioned at telling story through artwork so I inundated her with art. I have a picture of Crys fighting the guardian snake in the finale from Quest, and two nice and bloody pics of Talo illustrating story written and possibly from my unfinished stash including some transformation. Her speedpaints are a steal so nab them while there are slots left, I grabbed some gifts on top of personal work and may grab more before they are gone. Lastly I have a high detail or ref image gifted from my best friend Sorien to make use of but I have not determined yet what I want to do with this image. It will be special when I do.
will be doing a raffle for slots eventually and I need to prepare my request that fits their excellent style :)

My younger cat was pretty hurt.
Posted 13 years agoWe took our kitties to the in laws and they were going to stay while we were on holiday. We lived there for over a year and the pet dynamic with their dogs was awesome. But since we left the dog dynamic changed with a new one. Well we went out for dinner and came back to find the house a mess and our younger cat bleeding in a safe spot being guarded by the oldest dog, (that adores our cat). I couldn't find the older and there was so much blood. I freaked out and was terrified that the dog had killed our cats. It took me a while to find the older who was fine, and $300 later from the vet it looks like he will be okay (at least physically after he heals.)
He grew up in a unique situation and is a very trusting cat since his breed is mostly ragdoll and he always dominated the dogs being the pack alpha, I worry worry this will make him a much less friendly cat but I am thankful he is okay. Have to fly out today and had to leave him in that house but we spent the night with him and the in laws have given the cats each their own room and will baby him while he recovers. Honestly as much as I love my family I really don't want to fly home today and leave him.
So I am down, sad and really upset. I got very little sleep and I went through a severe panic attack last night. I am going to be worried the entire trip about my babies.

Posted 13 years agoLife is still well. Got to see some movies, my other half is busy gaming and I am still not making creative progress even with the idea in my head. I want it down on paper so I can get it illustrated properly with the right emotions involved.
I have talked with a few people about the story, and its a followup to Wisadejak's Lesson involving the culture hero Erathaki, and Giant Snakes.
Should be good once I get it written and get my art references together, then its just searching for the artist.

Posted 13 years agoLast couple days I uploaded my first adult artwork, albeit tasteful nudes. That currently is it for outstanding commissions though I do have some ideas bouncing around and want to see if Haligren is willing to take on a TF commission from me.
I don't really plan for anything in my gallery to end up more adult in nature than what's on there, but do expect more transformation artwork, as it always has been an interest of mine.

Posted 14 years agoI've still got a while to go, but I'm enjoying writing again. It's been so long since I've done so.
I've noted that my writing does tend to flow like a novel, even when writing a short story. Something I'm going to need to work on is pacing my material more around the shorter length.
As a note, I just got the fifth book of Stephen Hunt's steampunk series in the mail from Amazon UK, and am still reading the long awaited fifth book of Song of Ice and Fire.
Two weeks ago I read a truly awesome werewolf novel called "The Last Werewolf" that really helped inspire some of my writing again. Between that and "Frostbite" I've found two novels relating to the curse that I absolutely adore.
I've noted that my writing does tend to flow like a novel, even when writing a short story. Something I'm going to need to work on is pacing my material more around the shorter length.
