Writing Challenge 2: Halloween
Posted 15 years agoHey, cubs and cub lovers! A bit delayed, but prepare thyselves for... WRITING CHALLENGE 2!!!
It's October, and in all the COOL parts of the world, leaves are turning from green to red, orange, and yellow. It also means one of the best times of year to be a cub: Halloween! Dressing up in scary (or not-so-scary) costumes and going door to door for the one thing every cub loves: FREE CANDY! Though of course, this is also the time of year when things get spooky. Ghosts and ghouls walk freely among us on that one special day. And let's not forget about witches! Will your story be a ghost story? Or perhaps some demon from beyond the grave will rise again? Will witches kidnap some cubs for an evil ritual? Or maybe, just maybe... it'll be a nice night of trick-or-treating.
As last time, submissions can be clean or naughty, short or long, gentle or violent (though please include content warnings for things people may not want to see). Check your grammar, please! And submissions can either be uploaded to your own account (in which case, comment back here with a link to the story so we can fave it!), or emailed to the group at cublove@ymail.com. Submissions will be accepted until October 31st (possibly a bit longer, since we were a little late posting this).
Questions? Ask in PM or the comments here!
Happy writing! <3

Writing Challenge 1: School
Posted 15 years agoHey, cubs and cub lovers! As promised, today we're starting our writing challenge!
Here's the deal: we'll give a theme to write a story around, and you guys have fun and write! For submission, you can email them to the group (cublove@ymail.com), and we'll upload them here. Be sure to include your FA user name (unless you wish to remain anonymous)!
Please try to use proper spelling and grammar. We won't reject pieces for content (though we will warn about nasty stuff), though we WILL NOT POST PIECES THAT CLEARLY WERE NOT EVEN SPELL CHECKED. Proper grammar is your friend (outside of dialogue)!
And now, for our theme. To open us off, since the school year's just getting going, our first theme will be school! What you do with that is up to you! To get the creative juices going, we'll offer a few suggestions: the first day of school and everything that entails for a new student, recess time fun, sneakiness during class, play time at the after school program, a teacher asking to see a cub after class. Feel free to use any of these as a starting point, or do something else entirely, so long as it's on the subject of school!
Submissions will be accepted until October 10th, when we'll put up the next challenge theme. Questions can be directed to this journal, or to PM. Happy writing!

Looking for Content!
Posted 15 years agoHey, folks!
Since we're new in town, we've got a little business to take care of to establish ourselves. If there are any cub artists out there who'd like to produce some content for us (stories, pictures, etc), feel free to note us. We'll let you know how to get your art to us so we can post it (you WILL be credited for it UNLESS YOU ASK US TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS). Art in this case includes drawings, stories, or anything else cub-related. Since this is an adult-oriented group (and there's already a clean group), we're looking primarily for adult-oriented content.
We're also going to be holding a writing challenge. The premise: every week (or two, or three, or perhaps four, so we don't run out of creativity and you folks have time), we'll put up a topic/theme for you all to use in a story. Once it's done, you're free to either post it to your own page (and we'll go fave it and link to it here), or send it to us to post on the page. Keep your eyes out for that!
Finally, we're going to be exploring the possibility of doing an "artist spotlight" feature every so often. Again, keep your eyes out here for updates.
That's all for now!
