I've been trying to relax more and took some major steps today with my anxiety (which was also related to my recent decline in physical health). Apologies for my slower output. Posted 2 years agoAround 8:30 PM EST, August 11th, 2023, I injured my hand in some capacity and now it needs time to heal. This can take a few days to a week, if not a bit more. It makes drawing agonizing to do. I hope you can understand. I will be picking up art once I can confidently pick up my pen without aching.

Posted 3 years agoI feel like I am so hardwired for efficiency that my art suffers. I feel too stagnant and mediocre and I am not sure how to change that.
Sure, I love being able to complete commissions in mere hours, but I think my art quality declines in exchange.
Additionally, I cannot take my time on things unless I have genuine passion and drive.
I MUST complete pieces ASAP or I don't.
These are the last pieces I put genuine time and effort into, and I took my time on them. The werehog taking 4 days, along with Arwuld's new ref sheet. The headshot took me hours, but I still put in my all.

The worst part is I feel locked to this pace of efficiency, my style of art feeling different each time as well.
Overall, I am just unhappy with most of my art right now and I get way too fucking bored when I try online art courses designed for fast improvement and efficiency.
