Finished the animation
Posted 14 years agoThat's done with! Considering how much time I put into it, it ended up being pretty short. Probably under 5 seconds, an endless jacking off loop. I'm still messing with it on and off but it's basically done. I should have probably done something much more simple for my third real try at it. I ended up having to fix things here and there and I was never sure what I was doing. I should probably figure out how to use the copies of Flash that I own since the animation looks way better when you can just tilt the frames as things move. Every time that I've open Flash though I've sort of looked at it, fiddled with things, and closed it. The menus don't make sense to me. Still I own the stupid thing in the CS suite so I really should learn stuff about it.
My friend saw the animation thing over my shoulder while I was working on it and she sort of yelled "NOW THAT'S A COCK!"... LOL. It's got a bit of forced perspective on it so yeah it's mostly dick. We were laughing over it all yesterday as I tried to get the timing down and the dick animation sort of jerked around. I looped it so it did a little jig over and over. Shakes head.
When I'm not being lazy I'll post a screen shot of the sketchy version so you guys can see what the hell I'm talking about.

Meh! ANIMATION! Photoshop is stupid
Posted 14 years agoI almost forgot my password for FA... then i remembered it was the password that was both stupid and one I only use here. Cause that's the best way to be able remember my log in info.
Gah, animating things is really hard. I'm fooling around with gifs in Photoshop CS3 and it's kicking my ass. I haven't been around much because I've been busy trying to get my life in order and make some money. I've been doing different art different flavor and so far things have been going well.
Been reading a lot of this webcomic Home Stuck http://www.mspaintadventures.com/ , it's like 9000 pages long and generally pretty messed up. It updates and average of 5.5 times a DAY, what's not to like? I keep vaguely promising my friend that I'll draw porn for it. Not sure if that will ever happen. LOL. Motivation, I don't have it. Still it pokes me to try making porn gifs.
Right now there's a super rough masturbation one in which I try to do wayyyy to much for my third animation. I still think it looks good but the timing for movement still is really hard. And I had to cut about 3 things out that totally didn't work or looked really silly. But at least now it loops, also it's vaguely P.B. not sure if it will stay him though. Fiddles.
And fucking hell does photoshop not like being fast about displaying the loops so I can see how stupid the timing is. Is there any other program for gifs that's not dumb? I hate to say it but I'm missing Image ready and I thought that program was terrible. =/
I'll be hitting A-kon, Anthrocon, and San Diego Comic Con this year. People were surprised to find me at A-kon, i always go, so it was like stealth commission time. I'm hoping for more updates here. I'll need to go poke my notes!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee one last con + art
Posted 16 years agoEdit: Woot here's a commission I did at San Diego Comic Con!
Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately. After Anthrocon and San Diego comic con And visiting friends in California and Texas I was a bit burned out. Thankfully I only have one more con to do for hopefully the rest of the year.
My last con is AnimeFest in Dallas, Texas over labor day weekend (Fri Sept 4th - Mon Sept 7th). My friends got an artist alley table or Bizarre Bazaar or whatever so I'll be hanging out and I'll have a limited amount of Clubstripes books, comics, and folios for sale. But mostly I'll be helping my friends sell cute buttons and cats puking kittens and other weird things. So, if any of you are in Dallas for Labor day weekend, please stop on by. You can find me by looking for Cute dragons, Pancats, Hot pictures of Ichigo, Albino chicks and my Clubstripes 18+ only sign. It has Umeboshi on it. =D Argh, I should have taken a photo of it before posting... oh well tommorrow.
Gah, hopefully once all the excitement of the convention season is over I can get back to drawing.

P.B. and Jay folio, Kiss and Tell
Posted 16 years agoJust got an email from the printer that my new P.B. and Jay folio, Kiss and Tell is being shipped to me. So, I will definitely have it in time for Anthrocon, which I'm now certain I am going to and thankfully have a badge for. YAY... I really need to stop doing that last minute convention planning. =/ I'll be easy to find at the Clubstripes table.
I will also be putting things into the Anthrocon art show. Does anyone have anything they'd like me to put up? I'm mostly planning a few large prints and some originals but if you have any requests for characters or images please let me know... especially for the large prints. I never know what to print.
I'm also going to be at San Diego Comic con later that month also working the Clubstripes booth. That's going to be awesome. I'm hoping to finish the folio with Rachael and Jenny for that con but I'm not sure I'll have enough time. The folio has to be finish before I even leave for Anthrocon so it's a bit of a quick turn around.
I'll got the cover and back cover mostly finished so I just have to fill the inside of the folio with art. Sigh.

Term help. Woot solved! Thanks guys.
Posted 16 years agoEdit: Switch or switch hitter that's the term i was trying to remember! Thanks!
Ugh, does anyone know the slang term for someone that can switch being a top or a bottom? I can't for the life of me remember what that's called. LOL, so far my friends have suggested "versatile" and "accommodating" which is totally not what I'm looking for.

A-kon commissions, P.B. and Jay Folio
Posted 16 years agoI snuck into A-kon last weekend to help some friends with their booth and I also did a few commissions. =D Here's two of them:

Edit: Plus one more NSFW: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2357699/
Thanks for posting these guys! Snags them to use the poses later.
I have also finished my adult folio for Anthrocon called "Kiss and Tell" staring both P.B. and Jay. There's kissing and PORN... cough, lots of it. Hmmm, now I just need to get my plane ticket.
I also need to start working on my art show panel for Anthrocon. If there's anything you guys would suggest please let me know.

Watchmen ***Spoilers***
Posted 16 years agoSaw Watchmen... it was pretty faithful but it couldn't help, well, being a movie. Not a bad thing honestly. But yeah, it can't be the comic cause simply making it a film changes things.
I recommend that if you think you would like to see it then you should probably see it. It's worth it. I have rather mixed feeling on it but I still suggest giving it a shot.
Cough... um Spoilers some thoughts I had. I don't think I could write a real review so you get some random "I liked this" and "I didn't like that" stuff.

*SPOLIERS*
*
The opening slow motion photo/history montage was really awesome.
I liked the music in the movie.
I didn't like the placement of the music in the movie. Music leaped out and barraged you like it was trying to mug you rather then just setting the tone.
I am just not moved by slow motion violence. I like violence that's sharp and quick; creepy in it's sudden cruelty. Watchmen was not that. It was like watching a movie set in the 80's but made with the gore film sensibilities of the 2000's. Lovingly slowing down the motion to lingeringly display the violence doesn't make it more extreme.
Pacing was weird. I'm guessing they cut out a lot of stuff and well the movie has an odd feel. I may be too sensitive though, grain of salt.
I liked seeing them show the normal superhero guys doing super things in believable ways. The scenes at the beginning with Rorschach were really good at doing that.
Dr. Manhattan's voice works really well. It makes him much more creepy to have a soft voice rather than a deep powerful one or a weird god like voice.
Rorschach's voice didn't work that well for me... I think to new Batman has killed the "I'm affecting a deep voice that I can't really pull off" thing. I got use to it as the movie went on but I didn't even really comprehend the opening monologue of Rorschach's because of the voice.
They changed the ending, which I didn't like that much and I felt shifted the theme... to something rather different.
They still blow up New York, which was awesome.
They tried very hard to keep things looking the way they did in the comic. I respect that a lot.
It sort of doesn't feel like the 80's though. I think they updated some of the costumes a little and I kept think Jim Lee was drawing the main girls outfit which put my mind squarely in the 90's... don't know.
I didn't buy several emotion scenes at all... because they made no logical sense with how they got changed. They shifted some of them around slightly and I don't know, the pacing wasn't helping. The movie reads as flat. All shiny exterior with a luke warm core but oh it's very pretty.
I like the Rorschach of blood in the snow at the end...
The sex scenes were really long and bad. Sorry.
Dr. Manhattan's dick was hanging out... and boy was he nude. It was awesome Heh. I is twelve. =D

There's more sort of nit picky things but well it's a film of a comic. I still think it's worth watching if only cause all the other people in my group liked it and apparently I have a heart made of stone and stuff. HA! Whatever. =D

Mystery Packs
Posted 16 years agoOkay, so I went through a chunk of my original bins and I made some mystery packs. I made Small and Large packs. Right now the small packs are all guy/gay but the large packs are more diverse. (I do have stuff to make Small girl packs but I'm sort of burned out. Sorry.)
You must be 18 years or older to purchase.
Small Guy mystery packs 5.5" x 8.5" are 15.00 each, I have:
Type A = Guy/gay Originals (All early P.B. and Jay... yeah.) (available: 11)
Type B = Guy/gay Other originals with prints. (available: 12)
All of these mystery packs are small originals (roughs, sketches, pencils, or inks) or prints that fit in a 5.5" x 8.5" envelope. Note: If you own any of the "Daria Guy Collections" 1 or 2, I would avoid the packs with prints.
Large mystery packs - 8.5" x 11" these come in two price levels:
30.00 - Sketch book pages, roughs, pencil originals
Type C = Guy/gay packs (available: 7)
Type D = Girl packs (available: 8)
Type E = Straight (available: 3)
50.00 - Sketch book pages, roughs, pencil originals, inks and final versions, or maybe a print.
Type F = Guy/gay packs (available: 10)
Type G = Girl packs (available: 7)
Type H = Straight (available: 3)
Shipping is extra. It is 2.00 for the small packs and 4.00 for the large packs in the US, an additional 1.00 will be added if you purchase more than one pack. If you live outside the US I'll have to go to the post office to figure the shipping. =/
To purchase one of the packs leave a comment stating what Size(Large or Small) and what Type(A-H) and how many you want to buy (Example: Small, B, 1 or Large, D, 2 ect.) I'll note you to figure out shipping and other stuff.
Hopefully this journal entry makes some sort of sense. Please ask questions if you have them.

Auctions - Grab bags?
Posted 16 years agoAuctions are over!
Honestly, I'm not really expecting much, the minimum bid is pretty much what I hope to sell them at. That's why the auctions are just a few days. =>
I'm thinking of making some cheaper sketch book grab bag things: a few pages of either rough sketches, small images, sketch book things, random stuff like that. You wouldn't know what you'd end up with until you opened the package, though they'd be sold in girl and guy packs... cause I'm not that cruel. =D I'd try to keep them under 20.00 or 25.00.
Would anyone be interested in that?

Selling Originals
Posted 16 years agoMoney has been tight so I'm getting ready to auction off some originals... Do you guys have any suggestions for images to put up for sell? Or cough, if you want to buy a particular image or if you want a print of something... now is the time to let me know. =D
I've mostly been just sorting through my stacks of originals and picking random things out so any suggestions would be great. Just a note most of the stuff (that's not a badge) in my gallery is still available including some of the FC images.

Further Confusion art show images!
Posted 16 years agoFurther Confusion is coming up and due to spending lots of money in Japan over December (yay doujinshi!) I've decided to skip going to the actual convention. Sorry guys. I wanted to go but I need to let my bank account recover a bit.
However I did send some original pencils and sketches to be put up in art show. So, I thought I'd share them with you guys before the convention hits so people will know what's available. Also people love porn, right? Right?
I'll try to get all ten of the originals I sent off to FC up today and tommorrow. =D

October!!! Plus 80's fun.
Posted 17 years agoArgh, I'm busy! Damn it. Sorry, I've been off the site for so long. Thanks so much everyone for the porn suggestions on the last journal. I'm totally going to draw them once I dig myself out of all the work I have to do. =/
I love Halloween so much. It's great fun. So... I'm just going to leave this here: Brutally Outrageous!

Porn Suggestions?
Posted 17 years agoI just finished my last sketch book and i have a brand new one with 80 pages that I want to fill so um... please suggest ideas for porn. I will draw sketches. =D
You get ONE sentence... can be a run-on, however at my discretion I may choose to disregard the end of really long sentences, just saying.
Limit one suggestion per person.
I'll choose the suggestions I take... meaning I'm may or may not draw your suggestion. Don't get upset please. D=
You can use your characters, my characters, or generic characters only. The resulting image will probably end up being finished to post to Clubstripes http://www.clubstripes.com/ So, if you don't want your character used for a paysite don't suggest them.
Links to character sheets/images are A-okay.
Sketches based on suggestions will be posted to Furaffinity so everyone can enjoy the fun.
YAY! Experimenting.

LOL!!! MY mind!! It goes to the bad place!
Posted 17 years agoOh my god, I'm watching the Olympics... for some reason at 8 in the morning and the Greco-Roman Wrestling!!! It cracks my shit up! Records it.
YAY, furaffinity is back!
Posted 17 years agoAwesome, now I can post some stuff. Plots.
I managed to finish up the last page of my sketch book yesterday so I was thinking of doing something special for the start of the next one. I have this simple 80 page book that was thinking of experimenting with. I'm still considering things but I'll make a post on it in a bit since I was planing on asking for some assistance. Heh.
Oh, I managed to finish a comic script last week. That's different then usual. It's just a cute short story. I've got to find some time to do the layouts for it so I can figure out just how long the thing actually is. The porn bits could make it much longer then my estimate.
I really need to finish some of the things I've been drawing. Art posts in a bit.

Nothing says I love you like losing all your work in Photosh
Posted 17 years agoOh thank you Mac for making ALL of my files read only. And dear PC, no your right I didn't really need to SAVE all of that work I did coloring that image, oh no. Yes, yes, go ahead and NOT even ask if I want to save the file when i closed it. Yes, because that's what you should do. Also, I'm really scared that now the file doesn't even exist on the PC, yeah cause that makes sense... God damn it, just save the stupid file as a copy or something don't just abandon me to the frosty woods of "I hope you like recoloring the whole image oh and doing all that clean up you did as well, chump" of sadness and hate. I hope both my Mac and PC have fun burning in hell. >=X
Thankfully i saved a small copy so I have a version for Club Stripes but nothing says joy like a disappearing unsavable file.

Cheap chocolate all arround
Posted 17 years agoNom, it's cheap chocolate day everyday after Valentines. Eats candy... did anyone else notice that the chocolate heart companies seemed especially stingy on the F-ing chocolate. I swear one giant heart I got had like only 6 pieces in it and a giant plastic spacer that was empty empty empty. It would have give the wrong impression if I had been buying it for my beau. Nothing says "I love you" like looking like a stingy bastard. Though a giant heart of "get fat fast" isn't so good either.
Still I got a small heart today and it only had 4 pieces of candy. I don't know, it makes me sort of sad. I don't want a shit ton of chocolate but I don't want to feel cheated either.
In better news the Soho designer chocolate was pretty good.

Back from Further and Deviant art
Posted 17 years agoSo I'm back from Further and no longer sleep deprived and stuff. I'm sorry for posting all that weird stuff... okay, no, I'm not sorry but to make up for it I was going to post some good stuff for you guys. Like a tutorial, but then when I all tried posting it to FA it shrunk the living crap at of it so the text was microscopic and unreadable. WTF FA! A file can only be 1280 pixels tall? How is that a good idea???
So now I have a Deviant art account... T_T damn you FA... I don't even like DA. Anyway here's a link to the tutorial: http://dariamcgrain.deviantart.com/.....e-pt1-76487878
Please enjoy and stuff.
I had a lot of fun at Further Confusion though I was mostly chained behind the table and part of Sunday was spent in the room trying to finish commissions on 3 hours of sleep... T_T
By the way if anyone wanted a commission and missed out on getting one at the con I opened up one or two in the store: http://tinyurl.com/2v5nrj
I actually got up from the table at one point and meet
louvelex who was super nice and let me toss money at her. I would have bought more but I'd cleverly hidden my purse back in the room. I will need to find little frames for the cuteness.
Then there was also hanging out with
maxblackrabbit,
miupix, and
raganzi and trying to finish my commissions while Max zooms through his. Go Max go! =]

Fun with food: Umeboshi
Posted 17 years agoFinally a journal that doesn't talk about either FC or Clubstripes... whoops.
So after some searching in California I found some Umeboshi at the local Asian Market. Though back in Texas I can find Umeboshi paste all ready to be spread on things, here I could only found straight up pickled plums. The bottle that I found just lists them as Aka Ume instead of Umeboshi so my shorting of Ume's name will probably be fine. I roll my eyes at myself. Nothing like holding a jar at a market giggling ominously to make me feel like a huge dork, a huge perverted dork. Seriously.
The jar has tiny plums still all plum shaped and with pit. I was sort of worried that the flavor would be different but thankfully it was the same as the paste I usually get. However I'd forgotten that along with being salty and sour that Umeboshi was also sweet. It's a strange taste explosion but it's damn tasty on california rolls in tiny amounts. It oddly brings out the avocado flavor which I found weird as avocado doesn't really have a strong flavor.
Also I'm rather bad at making sushi. =[ I know not the secret Asian secret of rice making. Somehow they were still delicious, I blame the Ume more then my makeshift glad gallon bag sushi roller. =/

Further Confusion now with delicious art show space
Posted 17 years agoYay, so I got an adult art show panel for Further Confusion. Does a dance, so now I will be able to hang my giant poster print of Umeboshi http://www.furaffinity.net/view/982957/ in the art show... the Kodak gallery people must have had a good laugh printing that one. =D The poster is 20 x 30 inches and is a 1 of 1 print. Basically it's the only one I'll be making. The 1 of 1 thing is true of all my prints in the art show... so if you see a print you like you might want to bid on it cause I don't sell extra copies of prints at my table.
I'll also have 6 smaller 8.5" x 11" prints in the show. They include: an image of P.B., an image of Jay, one of Caramel, a old pulp style image of Milk, Milk crushing Gin with her boobs, and Umeboshi trying to stuff his junk into a girl's one piece. These are also 1 of 1.
And I received my new Flaming Tart folio from the printers. It looks really awesome. So that and the buttons will be at the convention. I will be selling my things at the Club Stripes booth. So far it looks like I'm actually mostly prepared for the convention this year. I hope to see people there.

Sketchbook Commissions and Con badges
Posted 17 years agoAre now open for a brief time. These are for people not going to Further Confusion next week. If you're going to the con you can get a con badge or commission right at the con.
http://shop.clubstripes.com/
Sketchbook drawings are in the Art - Adult section
Badges are in the Art - General section
From the Clubstirpes account journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/283541/
The standard con sketch rules will apply:
1. These are not commissions in the normal sense, i.e. you do not get to make revisions. Use the comment box to tell the artist what you would like them to draw, they will draw it, and the art will be mailed to you when it's done.
2. The artists reserve all rights to their work. This means that they may color the artwork for Club Stripes later, or put it in a folio, or any number of uses, since they are the creator of that artwork and are not relinquishing reproduction rights. Basically, you're just purchasing the art. Don't commission them for something if this will bother you.
3. The artists reserve the right to reject sketch requests for any reason.
Wheee.

New Folio also -As Seen On TV- gifts
Posted 17 years agoYay the folio that ate my life is finally finished. =[ My hands are so happy to not be chained to Photoshop applying more filters to my gay, drama filled, cross dressing, girly boy character, Umeboshi. I think he spends most of the folio with a hard on and a smirk, whether he's in a dress or not.
I think my favorite part of the folio was making all of my own fake internet stuff. I made a Chan board with horribly ridiculous categories, Chat window with amusing chat that had terrible spelling and Umeboshi's porn site which was very girly in a terribly misleading way.
But of course there's also the mysterious guest character who I will keep hush hush about for now.
Whew, I so happy to be done with it. Hopefully I have finished it in time to be printed for Further Confusion. Crosses fingers.
I will be at FC again this year at the Clubstripes table. Which is lucky cause I completely forgot to get my own table and to get an artshow space. I might be able to swing one panel for the giant poster I made, but maybe not. I'll have to wait and see.
The Holidays seemed to last forever this year and every time I needed something everything was closed. =[
I did get some strange "as seen on tv" things as gifts which were awesome things but a bit puzzling. You might have seen the "Tater Mitts?" They can peel a potatoes in 8 seconds... what they don't say on the box is that you have to boil the potatoes for 5-6 minutes before rubbing them with the gloves. If you don't check the directions before using them it's like a ten minute struggle sanding down the potatoes skins. Sigh. Directions are my friend, I should read them and stuff. =O

A Journal!
Posted 18 years agoI'm not so great at updating journal things but here's some stuff:
The Clubstripes picture I'm working on right now is a picture of a bright redish pink character named Umeboshi. He's named after Japanese pickled plum which is normally a vinegar or a paste that tastes bitter/salty/sour. Is great on sushi. He's got an ass like an apple and stocky legs. I've only done one image of him for the site before this one, because his coloring is a giant struggle. Should be fun.
Midori
clubstripes put some of my originals up for auction on Furbid recently. So, I thought I should mention them encase, you know, people might want to buy them or something. Here's a link: Furbid auctions
I also put up some of my old and new portfolios on the new Hot Cider Shop. They take credit cards! My brand new folio from San Diego Comic Con is a straight sketch folio involving Gin, Vodka's little brother. He has trouble with girls. Sexy trouble, involving nudity even. Mixed Drinks
I also coded the new Hot Cider Press site, which was an interesting job because I had to get the php blog script to look and act like a static webpage. And I'm not that hot with PHP at all... ;_; I do like to work with HTML but CSS and PHP are tough. I mostly just take someone else's structure and reverse engineer it. Heh.
I keep taking photos of my kitten's teeth because he's teething and has two canines, one on top of the other... it looks a little like a shark. He's been bitty and has managed to knock one off the right side but still has two on the left. Makes him look all weird when he yawns.
Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, would you guys want to see any of my human porn? I draw a lot of stuff beside furry art , though furry is my money maker, so- are you interested?
