Age
Posted 6 years agoAge... To an extent, I don't think it matters. Before I get any further into this let me just clarify that I do not in any way support minors lying about their age to be in a sexual relationship with older people or having an inappropriate presence on the internet and by no means do I support pedophilia or any of its variants.
Recently, I've watched the internet blow up over some 15 year old kid who lied about his age and performed acts inappropriate for his age. While his actions were less than okay, we should by no means attack some poor kid the way we have. He is only 15, and odds are he is just looking for an outlet for his interests. It terrifies me to think that this could happen to kids who are just curious or are looking to be a part of a community.
I get that creators don't like having kids look at NSFW content on their pages, but do we need to go as far as to attack them or block them? We see the age of adulthood to be 18, right? But the age of consent is less in most places. Why should we deny teens a community they are interested in just because they are 'too young'? I see maturity and wisdom beyond that of an adult in kids especially 16 year olds. People say that with age comes intelligence and wisdom, which is the greatest load of nonsense I have ever heard, because majority of the most ignorant, small minded, selfish, moronic, and judgemental people I have ever met have been adults and elders. Age is not a defining factor of wisdom or knowledge, character and an open mindedness are. When it comes to being listened to as a human being, age should hardly factor into it.
When it comes to NSFW content and young internet presence, the discussion can become a bit more sensitive. I'm not saying we need to change the age of consent, I'm saying we need to rethink the age of maturity. Most of us can agree that a minor should not be going on Twitter and posting about how horny they are or about their sexual needs, but why can't teens in their most curious years be able to see others who are older do just that. 16 is one of the most widely reguarded ages where teens, especially males, are most curious about sex. In many places it is only a year before they can give consent, and in many places they already can. Why should we block curious kids from exploring the mature side of reality by then? As long as they don't hurt anybody and don't open themselves up to be hurt or attacked by anybody, what is the harm of a mature presence on the internet?
If you have an argument to my claims please let me know, I want to see both sides of this debate and I will listen with an open mind and be sure to not attack any opposition to my claims for the sake of arrogance. I cannot say that I will not debate as I see fit. Please let me know your thoughts.

What I Create and Post
Posted 6 years agoI post my written works and drawings here. I will try to post as often as I can, usually short stories, drawings, maybe poems, and the occasional fanart, commission, raffle prize, or gift.
I want to thank everybody who is supporting, watching, and favoriting me this early on, it's nice to know that there are people out there who are taking time to look at something I made, its really flattering, and gets me really excited.
On my artist profile, I said that anybody can use my characters, allow me to elaborate. If you for some reason want to, feel free to use my characters in your stories, poems, art, etc. I only ask that you give me credit for my characters, tag me, and place the characters in similar situations that I would, so I made a list of things that you might find me writing about and things you won't.

Hello...
Posted 7 years agoUm... Well if you've seen my favorites list, then you know what kind of stuff I like. I created this account to escape into a place where, after roughly seven years of keeping my deepest interests a secret from everyone, I could participate in a community that wouldn't judge me as harshly as my friends and family. When it comes to my content on this account, I honestly don't know if there will even be any. I do love to draw, and I'm not too terribly aweful at it, but I lack the proper tools and resources to create quality digital art; I do however have just enough tech at my disposal to maybe stretch my writing muscles a bit. So, if you do find any original content in my gallery, odds are you will find one or two short stories. I know that nobody is currently watching me, and for good reason, being that I have no content to watch, so I understand that this journal is going to be read by little to nobody. Regardless, I will further debate putting out original works. If for some reason, somebody desperately wants to read some of my work, please shout out so on my page. Thank youl
Yours truly,
Darkest
