So, little know fact, I am a Project Runway fan, and have been somewhat enjoying the most recent season of All-Stars 4 ... until (spoiler) Justin LeBlanc got eliminated in the last episode. I now realize that he was pretty much the last of the contestants this season that I cared about and was genuinely rooting for. Really, I've found that anyone I really could have seen myself rooting for, like Patricia, Chris March, Benjamin, Gunnar ... all of them got auf'd rather early and now all that's left are people I come to realize I don't like nor like rooting for. (With maybe the exception of Michelle who is kinda cool, and maybe Helen who I am kinda ambivalent to)

Dmitry is stuffy, arrogant, and annoying, Sonija is a selfish bitch, Fabio is just weird and not as talented as the judges seem to think his 'androgony' is, and Jay really pisses me off sometimes because he's a borderline offensive gay stereotype. I honestly thought Justin was pretty awesome, and I was thrilled we actually won challenges this season, but with him gone I don't know if I really wanna dedicate the time to watch people I don't really care for continue to compete.

Oh well ... at least my boyfriend has been into watching old seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race with me! 8D

Hello everyone! I know I have not been updating my gallery much over the last year, I suppose some of my priorities have changes and I just have not had the time or money to dedicate in submitting to my FA page like I used to!

Still, wanted to let everyone know that it'll be a demoncoon's birthday this month, in fact it's coming up this September 17th! Feel free to wish me a happy birthday if you think about it!

Also, if anyone wants to get me anything, I am still trying to learn what I can about 3-D animation using Maya, and would love to get to play around with some models! If anyone knows how to rip models from some games from Xbox 360 and the PSP system, I would love to fool around with them! Granted, the most I'd probably be doing with them is just learning some basics, I don't even know about actually adding skeletons and joints yet ... but all in due time, I suppose!

So I've been thinking of starting a new hobby, something I can play around with that may actually be a useful skill in the future. I love watching people make videos using 3-D animation, things like Dead Fantasy or Death Battle, those 3-D rendered fights are awesome and I would love to do something like that, be able to make animations using 3-D models ... but I am not sure where to start. A book? A how-to video? A class?

Does anyone out there have any suggestion or insight on where a good place to start such a still may be? Thanks in advance for any helpful tips! 8D

As some of you may know if you've checked out my older journals, I'm a Death Battle fan, I enjoy how they take two popular fiction icons and break down their abilities, statistics, and personality traits side-by-side and use that to determine a winner. Sort of like Deadliest Warrior but with video game, anime, and comic book characters.

This time I think I've come up with a rather clever idea for a match-up, Sephiroth of Final Fantasy VII vs. Zero if Megaman X. The battle of the long-haired sword-swinging pretty-boys! 1st Class SOLIDER vs. SA-Rank Maverick Hunter! I think these two match up well for a number of reasons, like the fact they are two badass bishounens wielding powerful blades of magic and lasers!

So I got to see Guardians of the Galaxy as soon as it premiered, which from what I am hearing, thank god I did. A lot of people have said it is EXTREMELY hard to avoid spoilers for the movie, and I really enjoyed seeing it relatively spoiler-free. As such I will avoid any spoilers in this journal, beyond just a few basic thoughts about the movie.

First off, I loved the movie! It had a real good mix of superhero Avengers-esque action combined with tongue-in-cheek humor in my opinion. It wasn't just Rocket that made me smile, but the whole package. Sure, some characters didn't get as much spotlight as maybe they should have, but with a 5 character origin story (plus three villains) that was going to happen either way. I think there was enough set-up to feel for the characters and give a good set-up for future movies.

Which, as I found out, is going to happen! June 2017 there is going to be a Guardians of the Galaxy 2! YESSSSS!

Also, there's going to be a Guardians of the Galaxy animated series!! DOUBLE YESSSSS!!!

Besides that and avoiding the spoilers, I loved the 3-D, thought it was very well done, loved the characters, the story, the goofiness ... I am glad I got to see it and am thrilled to see this franchise really starting to flourish!

 Winddragon has recently taken in an abandoned and starving puppy into their home, but the poor little guy has been diagnosed with a deadly disease called Parvo, and treatment will be quite an expensive endeavor. Right now Wind is offering commissions of any price starting at $20, as well as doing sketch streams and, of course, taking donations to help the poor pup beat this disease!

So, first a little backstory, come the turn of the year I made a New Year's Resolution so hit my goal weight by my birthday, September 17th. Now I won't divulge exactly what I need to lose to hit my target, but any lifestyle change to get healthy and fit is an uphill battle! I've had to cut back on the demon treats and start taking my demon vitamins instead!

One thing I've found hard, though, is having to give up soda and such. I like teas, but so many teas nowadays have as much sugar as sodas, so really you're only giving up the bubbles, and energy drinks are so full of bad things (I am aware that there are 'diet' and 'sugar free' energy drinks, but really, their energy is almost entirely derived from their sugar content, so really, it seems like a waste to bother with them)

Then my friend introduced me to something called XS, it has no sugar and actually tastes good! I've been drinking them since and have really enjoyed what I've been getting!

This may get a little commercial (and if sharing this is against any rules I guess I'll take down the journal), but with so many people trying to lose weight and get healthy, I figured I would share this energy drink to those who drink Monster and Red Bull and other sugary drinks. While waiting for the Robocop vs Terminator fight to finally make its appearance on ScrewAttack, I've submitted a new Death Battle idea that I personally think would be quite clever! The God of Magic, Kefka, vs the King of Evil, Ganondorf.

Originally I was thinking back on the old Death Battle of Link vs. Cloud and thought about the opposite match-up, Ganondorf vs Sephiroth, but something about the pairing seemed off, but then while thinking of other Final Fantasy villains I realized that Kefka and Ganondorf have quite a lot in common, but also quite a number of differences. Both are omnicidal, power-hungry maniacs looking to rule their respective worlds, both came from positions of lesser power and rose above their rulers, usurping power and ruling with a destructive iron fist. Both also gained their ill-gotten power from a trio of gods (the Warring Triad/the Triforce), but ravaged the land, commuting acts of mass homicide and destruction towards their ultimate goals, and even afterwards, not to mention both have access to their powerful final forms (God of Magic/Ganon).

At the same time, their personalities are completely different, Kefka is delightfully insane and unpredictable, but in the recesses of his mad mind he's a tactical genius, he acts off faking cowardice, running away and growing stronger, and confusion. Ganondorf on the other hand is cold and ruthless, powerful but sadly predictable in his movements and attacks, his power is so immense, that he doesn't feel the need to hide his moves, making them easily telegraphed, but still immensely dangerous. In the end, this match-up also challenges the both of them because they have never faced one like the other, Kefka has never faced someone so ruthless and brutal as Ganondorf, and Ganondorf has never faced anyone as dancing mad and confusing as Kefka.

Kefka Palazzo
* Original Magitek Solider prototype, although the imperfect procedure caused him to lose his mind. Infused with raw magical power, further augmented by the souls of Espers and the power of the Warring Triad.
* Cunning and ruthless, has no qualms about killing, even when it is not needed, he revels in destruction.
* Immune to poison, all status effects, and mind control.
* Singlehandedly faced an army of Espers without a scratch.
* Has access to the most powerful elemental and non-elemental spells in his world, including several of his own creation, no access to Holy spells, however.
* Able to hover, and can fly while in his God of Magic form.

* King of the Gerudo, leader of an army of the female only race of Gerudo, trained in their combat styles and by his personal caretakers, the witches Kotake and Koume. Strength is further augmented by the Triforce of Power.
* Brutal and ruthless, although his acts of violence are much more calculated towards his end goals, and will snuff out any sign of resistance with extreme prejudice.
* Immune or highly resistant to fire and ice, can be stunned and harmed by powerful attacks but is resistant to them. Weakpoint is a glowing wound/scar on his chest.
* Has access to powerful attacks and magicks, even spells of light. However his attacks are slow and predictable, can be dodged and some, even countered. Also able to turn invisible and teleport at will.
* Able to hover, but not an experienced flyer.
* Is highly weak to weapons and magicks of holy origin.
* Armor unknown but able to wield several power weapons, including the long sword, double swords, bastard sword, and trident.
* Ganon form.
** Drastic increase in his size, strength, and magick power.
** Able to turn into a wild beastial form, as well as a more combat-oriented humanoid boar form.
** Very hard to kill in this form, usually needs to be banished for any sort of short-term victory, but is not immortal. Has only shown weak to holy weapons (Master Sword, Silver Arrows, Arrows of Light) in this form.

I was talking with a friend of mine about Turkey Day, when I realized that, all things considered, Thanksgiving is probably one of the least tainted by commercialism holidays we have. I mean sure, there's the whole buying a big dinner thing, but it doesn't feel as frivolous as, say, presents and decorations of Christmas or the candy and costumes of Halloween sometimes can feel. At its core, Thanksgiving still seems to be mostly about being together with your friends and family and doing just what it says on the tin (TV Tropes FTW!), giving thanks.

Now I sort of understand why some people got really annoyed with Black Friday starting on Midnight, Black Friday, despite immediately following Thanksgiving, is really more of a Christmas holidays. It's the green and red racing flag signifying that the day of thanks is officially past and the season of buying and Santa is upon us, and I can see how forcing the start-time of that by a few hours could make a few people upset that its encroaching on their moreso untainted holiday.

Ah well, I'm just rambling cause I thought the idea was an interesting one, and I may be wrong, anyway ... HAPPY COONSGIVING! 8D

So the new Death Battle is coming out soon, Star Fox from Nintendo fame vs Bucky O'Hare, a rather obscure character originally from comic books and then a Saturday morning cartoon (then again back in the 90's everything got a cartoon).

As you can probably tell from the journal title, I most certainly had a preference to see Star Fox tackle Rocket Raccoon, but leaders among their team (Fox being captain, and RR being co-captain of the Guardians of the Galaxy), both having extension history in space flight and firepower, and both having even been in fighting games, proving they can handle themselves on the ground just as well as they can handle themselves in the air. Plus I think RR is quite a bit more well-known a comic book representative of the woodland critter space explorers than Bucky, but ah well, not in the cards I suppose.

That being said, I've never disliked a Death Battle, even the controversial ones (like the recent Ryu vs Strider, or Orchid vs Ivy), but I have to admite I am certainly going to need Wiz and Boom to tell me who Bucky is, cause I really don't have much clue what he's all about. As a result, I really can't even make a prediction of the outcome of the fight, although I know fandom seems to be leaning towards Star Fox, siting his extensive martial prowess in SSB and several of his own games, not to mention that while both Bucky and Fox use laser pistols, Fox's reflector is powerful enough to reflect a close-up attack from Rayquanza, a legendary Pokémon. But I suppose we'll see how the two stack up soon enough ...

... and if Star Fox does win, I hope they pull a TNMT and do a follow-up match! Winner of Fox vx Bucky vx. Rocket Raccoon! Woo!

For those of you who do not know, Death Battle (found here: http://www.screwattack.com/shows/or.....s/death-battle) is an online show from ScrewAttack that pits popular characters from comic books, video games, and the like against each other to a battle to the death, something of a pop culture version of Deadliest Warrior. And this demoncoon is a big fan of it!

Anyway, I have been posting on their forums for awhile and I decided to throw out a line here and see how many of my watchers are also fans of the show, and would be willing to give a consideration to my Death Battle suggestion, Deadpool from Marvel Comics vs. Gilgamesh of Final Fantasy!

I bet some of you would look at this match-up and instantly think its out of place or weird, but I think the more you consider it, the more sense it makes, and that it would make an awesome Death Battle! Both Deadpool and Gilgamesh are red-clad antiheroes/heroic villains, that have bled over into many different installments of their own franchise, and are Darkhorses of their own respective genre's.

Both are also capable of healing and taking a lot of damage, granted Deadpool's Healing Factor is superior to Gilgamesh's access to white magic and fienish attributes, but Gilgamesh makes up for it in offensive output in my opinion. Both use a wide array of weapons and quirky abilities, where Deadpool loves him some guns, he also uses swords and explosives, as well as some hi-tech such as teleporters, but Gilgamesh has magical/other-worldly swords, and also has guns and explosives (newest games show's that Gilgamesh takes to collecting all weapons now, not just swords), as well as access to powerful Blue Magic spells, not just damage spells either, but quirky, tactical spells as well.

Basically I see the fight boiling down to if Gilgamesh's damage output, his blue magic and ability to wield eight weapons at the same time at his best is enough to outperform Deadpool's Healing Factor, all while dealing with Deadpool's insane damage as well.

Plus, its a battle of the fourth wall breakers, both are known to skate the razor's edge of the fourth wall, and I think it would be hilarious to pit these two behemoths of weapons and weirdness against one another!

It's no secret I have a good handful of pictures from  furryratchet, but if you're not already watching him you should most certainly add him to your watch list! Not only does he have a great raw talent that seems to always improve bit by bit with every series of pictures he finishes (I love the detailing he does on bushy ringtails!), but I've talked to him before and he's a real nice guy, a total foxy sweetheart!

It's almost my birthday! In fact, as of this journal it's tomorrow, this Monday!! (September 17th) I've always enjoyed my birthday, the concept of a day that is about me! Demoncoons deserve a day about them! 8D

As I'm sure many people know by now, one of my favorite raccoon characters, the Theivious Raccoonus himself, is finally coming out with a new game, well, not including that Playstation Move Heroes game, that I never really looked much into (I did see a trailer though, DAMN Sly is fluffy in HD!)

The woe involved in this, though, is the fact Sly is a Playstation exclusive (ony of the only few they even seem to have anymore really, and at least the only one I really am interested. I have an X-Box 360 and a Wii, but I don't own a Playstation3, but I do sort of want to play this game, its been a long time since I'd played 1-3, and I'd hate to miss it. But can I really justify buying an entire game system for just one game? (and maybe the compliation included) I don't know, I'd really want to play it, but after that's done, what am I really going to use my PS3 for? Thus my woe!

I am currently on the lookout for a particular ROM for the Gameboy Color game Pokemon: The Trading Card Game 2, however I am specifically searching for a translated version (most likely a fan translation). I'm not sure what the overall concern is about ROMs on FA, however I believe this will be alright to ask for some assistance for for two reasons: 1) The game is out of print, and therefore is not contesting any sales from Nintendo or GameFreak, and 2) The game is Japanese only, and therefore makes no effect on either of those company's American market anyway!

If anyone knows where I can find a ROM for this game (just to clarify, I mean the Gameboy Pokemon TCG sequel, with English translation) please lend me a hand! I'd love to be able to play it! 83

So I am a bad demoncoon and left it to the last minute again, but I would really like to go to Further Confusion next year, but am sadly lacking in space to stay. The people I roomed with last year are currently unreachable and I don't want to risk missing out by waiting too long just to find out they are full.

Not sure but may end up being there the full time, I am fine with floor space if that is all that is available. Of course I am willing to pay my fair share of the room and am willing to pay the first day there, as soon as I get there if needed. I have never had any trouble with previous roomies or caused any trouble or drama while at any convention. All in all I try to be a respectful roommate and just expect the same of my roomies.

(Minor spoilers)

So I got The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, I even managed to snag one of the versions that included the musical soundtrack and the bonus golden Wii-mote (had a little extra cash in the form of gift cards given to me over the holidays, yay!). I've been playing it for a couple days now and have gotten a first impression of how the game runs, and figured I'd share. Again this is just my opinion:

So far . . . to be honest I'm a little underwhelmed so far. Oh don't get me wrong, the game isn't bad, but at the same time its not really had the chance to wow me yet. I'm really not sure I like the incorporation of the Wii Motion Plus into the game, and in general it seems to use it way too much for even menial tasks that I'd much prefer a standard button for. I really am not a fan of the flying mechanic yet, it seems counter-intuitive and at one point I ended up getting so low that I couldn't get back up again. It got to the point where I'm skimming the clouds struggling to gain altitude and I just got sick of it and turned off the game entirely.

I'm not very good at using the Wii Motion Plus to swing the sword yet, and the first big boss fight was much harder than I expected since the enemy apparantly can read your moves if you badly telegraph them, which I guess I did. At one point he starts blocking every attack I make for like 10 minutes, again, pretty frustrating. Also, as I said some of the thing they make you do with the motion sensitivity are just annoying, like having to manually turn the boss key using the Wii mote, instead of it just automatically unlocking the door just seemed like an uneeded extra step in my opinion.

Now as I said this doesn't make the game bad, these are just control issues, and I'm sure over time and repetition it'll come as second nature to me eventually. And I do like te first of the new weapon, the flying beetle. Yeah its gimmicky as hell, but its like an improved Bombchu, its remote controlled and is actually pretty fun to navigate with in the first temple. Also it can grab items for you, which is pretty cool! The look of the game is decent as well, not as dark and textured as I remember Twilight Princess to be, but not awful, its like a mesh of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, I can see very obvious elements of both games' styles influencing this one.

That's about it for now, just got done the first temple, might say more once I have a better grasp of the gameplay as I play through it more.
