Ok so i figured i can do some sort of basic level of pixel art a while ago. So i started requests. However, i hadnt anticipated the kind of level of difficulty that taking requests and doing work like that would be. I apologise to anyone that made a request and never receieved there artwork.

A previous Journal Entry from  tofer18 made me realise that i should have posted this a while ago. But, im a forgetful person. Tofer, your not alone! xD

Anyway...

Im thinking about doing more artwork in the foreseeable future. But i dunno when ill fit in doing the artwork. And if i do end up doing it, i dont know if/when/if/when/if ill be doing requests. But you lot that watch me will be the first to know about it anyway.

You see, my pixel art background isnt that big. My own reference picture came to me as part of a fluke tbh. I just decided that one day id take my pixel art adjustment skills from before (i do recolours and other stuff, but that was my first from scratch piece) using an old piece of artwork from Deviant Art. And it worked.

It makes me think i should probably draw the pics then scan em, but then theres the problem that my scanner no longer works.

If anyone has a possible solution, other than buying a new scanner, that would work for me, id be glad to here it.

My only idea at this moment is to pixelise the heads of other characters, using direct frontal views of their characters. probably from a reference sheet.

Im welcome to new ideas though.

Lieing in bed last night, i was about ready to fall asleep, with the bloody dog crushing my feet with his weight. However, before i fell into a deep slumber, i had an idea.

I plan to start afresh with a new scaly alter-ego, otherwise known as HypnoGecko. I have the basic concept ready in my head, and i really think i will be able to use this new alter-ego to my advantage in terms of my artistic ability (which isnt at the highest).

To my advantage, i have now left school, and dont start college till the end of august, so i have a lot of free time to do what i want (until i get a job). This gives me plenty of time to build the foundations for my new scaly character.

I want to know what you guys think

Life just keeps getting better and better :)

This week has to be the most amazing week of my life so far. Lets list the reasons:

o Wednesday 21st April: Provisional Driving License came through! Now my dad has just got to add me onto his insurance policy so i can drive his car :)
o Thursday 22nd April: Unconditional offer received for a HNC in Computer Games Development at James Watt College, which i accepted, naturally :)
o Friday 23rd April: Going to buy MH3 Tri for the wii, and will be giving out my friend code to those that ask for it :). Also got people from Slater's coming into my school (the place where i hired my kilt for my prom)
o Saturday 24th April: Having my best friend stay over for a night :) MH3 Tri all night long :)
o Sunday 25th April: Nothing special really. Cept my mate going home.
o Monday 26th April: Interview for a weekend job at £40 per week for 4 months :)
o Tuesday 27th April: Life returns to normal.

Now though, i am thinking of taking requests for my special style of anime faces, which i will upload in a little while.

I finally got the first page of my LDAPHS comic completed! You can find it in my scraps folder (as it isnt actually furry artwork :S).

Anyway, page two will be coming out soon, possible with a vote!

My Scanner still doesnt work :(

That's right people, i am thinking of making a comic. And, shock horror, it wont be a furry comic! Fof this reason, it will be placed in my Scraps folder.

Now now, no need to stand around with mouths wider than the Nile. My mates have taught me to draw "decently" in the anime style. (Saying that, don't expect anything absolutely amazing :P).

Anyway, this is a comic with a difference. This is a murder mystery comic, where you, my adoring watchers, and others who care, get to decide what happens in the comic (but only when i give you a multiple choice list).

The comic uses Kira and the Deathnote as the killer, with an assistant of the Shinigami Eyes (I'm getting this from a game i play on BYOND called Mitidake High, who got this from the DeathNote Series).

There will be 20 kids locked in a school for 12 Hours, and it is up to you on who survives and who dies. Can you find Kira and the eyes before the students do?

Soon, i will be posting a fact file about all the students. As for my artwork that i still have to do, it will not be put on hold. It will be done straight after the fact file is created, which wont take long. Although, i am going to have to replicate it in photoshop rather than scan it and use the scan as a guide, as my scanner is still on the blink.

First FA Journal! Woot!

Well this sucks. I finally manage to get up off my ass and make an FA account, and then my Desktop Comp, the one with all my art that is linked to the scanner, decides to go "I'm going to get lots of viruses and die now. Have fun without me!" ... Grr.

So until i sort this virus problem, there will be no art posted (unless i decide to publish the poem i wrote for valentines day comp at school (Librarian thought i had gotten it off the internet. Is that a good or bad thing?)). After that, be prepared for all the stuff i have on DA, and my two new pieces, waiting to be scanned. One of which is a request for  dragxdarklugia.
