Okay so I assume y'all know I crochet. Well my friend just had a baby and I made a little hat for him.
So I've decided that I'm going to crochet 100 baby hats and donate them to my local hospital in honour of her new baby.

I'm also going to try and crochet 100 regular hats and donate them to the cancer center here, in honour of my grandmother that passed away from lung cancer two years ago. I never got to give her the hats I made for her. ='-(

Anyways, I really want to do this, but I don't have enough yarn to make all of these hats, nor do I have sufficient funds to buy all of the yarn.

So I would like your help. Please donate so that I can go buy yarn and reach my goal of 100 baby hats and 100 cancer hats.

Yes, its Alice in Wonderland, yes the idea was taken from an original piece by someone. But the characters are not Alice and the Cheshire Cat. They are me and my mate. He had to redraw all of this by hand on a tablet and none of this was just mask out and replace so back off people!

Do people who draw pokemon get permission from Nintendo and Game Freaks for EVERY piece or pokemon art they do? No.
Do people who draw digimon get permission from Toei and Bandai for every piece they do? No they don't.
Does anyone who draws Sonic, or any anime for that matter get express written permission from the company, the artist, or the holder of its intellectual property? No they don't.

Rule 34 is based off of stealing characters and putting them in original situations.
I gave the guy credit and honestly its an original piece, he had to redraw it all by hand so its not a carbon copy or art theft, and he was given credit.

If someone "reinterprets" art....that's something parody allows them to do
not only is it not illegal...it's a protected ability by law
so I would not worry about it. If anyone asks...you can say "Oh sure..it's inspired by so and so...but it's my reinterpretation of it"
