Who loves pin up girls? I sure do. I have an ongoing project, that I may need some help from you artist friends of mine and you non arty friends of mine too.

I have currently 175 Vargas pieces, with 7 of them done already, that i'm getting Gypsy art done of. They range from seasonal poses, clothed, naked, with props and without...Here, take a look at the ones that have been done already -

Yeah, I spent a long while getting all the Vargas pieces together and making sure I didn't have duplicates. And this number doesn't include bust portraits that Vargas did.

What I usually do is upload anywhere from 7 to 12 various poses in a password protected Photobucket account, commission one you you artsy types for a sketch and let you pick from the poses uploaded at that time. I don't need or want you to tell me which ones you have chosen to use as the pose reference...I like getting surprises! Then once you finish the piece the art is taken off the gallery and put in another folder on my computer so I don't have multiples of the same pose, so what ever pose you choose is yours for the 'project'.


So, what i'm looking for is a few of you artsy types who are interested in getting in on this. You don't have to be open for commissions right now (money doesn't grow on trees), but if you'd like for me to commission you in the future for this please let me know! I have my paypal account warming up for a few of you already (aka I got my eyes on a few of you).

For those of us that aren't the artsy types if you know of an artist that does good horse characters point me in their direction (aka link me their FA or DA info) or point them in my direction. I'll probably be making a 'Gallery' on DA for them as well (user - Darktiger)

Ok, moving along.
Had an over all great time at MFF this year. Spent most of my time hanging out with Lucky and being his shadow. Got some new art and badges from a few people in the Artist Alley. Got to see some old friends and catch up with them and am glad that everyone is doing well. Met some new people at the con and got to put a few faces with names a well. Didn't do the fursuit parade this year, got some good video of a few suits that i'll be posting on youtube once i get home. Got invites to a few parties and made a few new connections in the semi-local area that i hope to see soon. I do want to try and take a week off of work sometime next year and really see Chicago area. There's a few locals that i want to hang with outside the con scene.

So, overall really great time at con and with those that I got to spend time with. See you fuzzy butts there next year!

Touching fine. hugs ok for most...unless you stink or are rather creepy. Other forms of contact depend on how well i know you...and just because we've talked online once or twice does not mean you get to grope me...keep it decent people. I'm not a huge fan of PDA (Public Display of Affection).

Can I talk to you?
Sure. Just don't expect me to hang out all day with you and share my innermost secrets with you...or expect me to want to listen to you about yours. If it's a topic of conversation between us then yeah...but most of you I don't care about hearing/sharing those things with.

Can we hang out?
Sure. I'm liable to be randomly floating about in the con areas, so if you're going somewhere invite me along. I love meeting new people and getting to know you all better.

Sure, if I have them with me. A lot of my art isn't in the sketchbook actually.

I needs me more Halloween art. Alex says i'm the Halloween kitty and it is true. Halloween is my favorite season...not just a holiday anymore.

I don't really want zombie Dark art...unless it's cute zombie art...but that might be rather hard to do. I'm getting a costume badge from Likeshine do with Dark dressed up at Jack Skellington, also got Anime Cat to so a Shakespeare-ish pose with Dark holing Jack's head in her paw at MFM. I'm thinking some thing with Dark and a murder of crows could be fun to get done. Gypsy with strategically placed pumpkins could be an interesting pose idea. Some kind of pumpkin carving thing could be fun (anyone up for this possibly...just drawn carved pumpkins...would need pre Halloween as well)

I love Nightmare Before Christmas and collect almost everything I can get my hands on that has Jack and Zero on it. My bookshelf/mantel thing in the living room has at least 10 or so individual or sets of Jack items, also recently picked up a few more shirts and mugs from the Disney store. Also, September is the month to shop for Disney Halloween items per the ladies at the Disney Store...bummer. I also collect black cats...duh, though not nearly as hardcore as my Jack stuff. If anyone is ever stuck on what to get me Jack Skellington things are always good...as long as I don't already have it. :)

I'm also in love with the battery powered silicone like pumpkin things...but I want some with scary faces on them too...all the ones I seem to find are much too happy or goofy, or neon pink...seriously pink is so not a Halloween color. I can see green and purple, but pink just doesn't do it for me.

I'm also hosting a Halloween party at my house that's going from Oct.30th till the 31st. Two days of furry Halloween! i'll be exhausted the day after. If you're interested in coming let me know or check out KYFurs.com for more info and to talk amongst the locals.

I'll also be continuing my tradition of taking Dark to work with me for the Halloween party there on the 30th. Majority of my coworkers know i'm furry and i've done many charity events in suit via work, so they're all cool with me. Though one of the ladies can't stand me looking at her in suit cause the eyes don't blink and it creeps her out. *giggles*

Generally speaking, people tend to have a 'defining image' that comes to mind when they think of a particular artist. Maybe it's one you can relate to, maybe it's the image that first introduced you to their work, maybe you just feel it was their absolute best, so it sticks out in your mind. So when ever you think of a certain artist, this image pops to mind.

I've seen a lot of journals and posts about fellow fursuiters seeing a lot of 'tired' suiters out there...and i've decided to start a movement with my fellow suiters for us all who know how to perform to do so instead of complaining. We are as humans creatures who mimic others behavior. I know I personally learn better from seeing others perform. 1 – Do you and your "fursona" look alike?
Not really. I'm a white girl...Dark is a black tiger. I don't have any tattoos...the tribal markings on Dark are all tattoos (playing off the fact that actual tigers skin is black where their stripes are). I have boobs, and no one really confuses me for a guy IRL...Dark gets confused for a guy since she's not overly sexuality depicted, and not hugely defined.

2 – Do you and your "fursona" share attires?
Dark is rarely dressed...i'm rarely undressed (exception of necessities of being undressed IRL) I've thought about clothing Dark...but it would just hide the patterning...so i can't find a happy medium that seems to work really.

3 – Do you share the same sexuality as your fursona?
Yep. I like the boys.

4 – If you hadn’t already made your fursona look like you, if you would to change how he/she looked like to make him/her look more like you, how would you think he/she would look like?
I like her the way she is..maybe a bit more definition that she's a girl..but it's good.

5 – Did you work hard to develop your fursona? What is the (brief) history of your fursona?
Dark has always been me. I don't look at Dark as being an RP character, or some thing that i made up. She really is just an extension of my own human self. The design has been around for a while now. Originally she was a 'darker than normal' colored orange...but I didn't really like any of the 'dark orange' colors...so I went with a black. The tribal markings have been a part of the character, but were not clearly defined until the plans for the fursuit were made.

6 – Do you and your fursona share relationship status?
...again the character is not an RP character...It's just me.

7 – Do you find yourself jealous or upset if you get paired with someone you don’t like or your partner does?
Hur? paired? Maybe I don't understand the context of this, but i've only ever gotten art of myself done. (wow that sounds selfish...) Onyx is free to spend his art money on what he wants. Having a piece of art done of or for you doesn't mean that second or third party in said art piece has any ownership of anyone else in the art.

8 – How would you like your character not to be used?
Dark is a PG13 max character. I don't really want her sexualized or looked at that in that way. Hense why Gypsy is around...she's the more 'adult' side of myself.

9 – What’s your fursona’s specialty?
being a nightmare for artists to draw!?!?!? other than that I don't know. failing horribly at being cute most of the time.

Darktiger...I'm a black tiger. Originally the character was just a darker orange than normal, but I was never happy with the color choices, so I changed her design to be mono-chromatic
