I've had a total of ten hours of sleep since Thursday of last week, and it doesn't look like I'm gonna be adding much to that number tonight. As a result, I'm apparently looking very surly. My parents think I'm depressed, or on drugs, or something. Point is, they're worried. And I don't blame them, really. My current state of delirium has already prompted me to do/say some very stupid things, and at this rate... Ooh, candy! *noms*
Seriously... umm... I dunno. I've actually been pretty happy lately. Go figure, huh? I am just a wee bit put off by a couple of things, which aren't worth posting here since you people don't read these things. Which is good, in a way, because journals are usually supposed to be private, but still. No readers, no access to the contents... of mah mind.
Anywho, I be bored, and nobody be online. If you're interesting, and bored like me, note me for the MSN address. I'm usually online at odd hours. I also have AIM, but talk to me on MSN if you can. I have like four friends on there and I feel kinda pathetic. xD

General | Posted 16 years agoSo... I went to see Alice in Wonderland this weekend. First time in a verrrrry long time I've seen a movie the opening weekend. It was quite enjoyable, at least to me. By the way, I want a pet Bandersnatch. I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF IT'S IMAGINARY, I WANT ONE. They're cute, in the, "I'll rip your arm off if you pet me," kind of way.
ALSO. Also. I have a rather... unique problem. I seem to be unable to draw Ryota, my own fursona. Yeah... leave it to me to create something I can't draw. Really sucks, cuz I was starting work on a ref sheet when I realized this. Oh well. I'll just keep trying until I get something that looks half-decent.

So yeah. Apparently, I figured out how to do that header/footer thing. Well, I've known for ages, just didn't feel like using it until now. 1 - My ex... needs to stop having a boring tuna. Funny this question should come up, considering she called me a fag earlier XD. In spite of everything, I wish her well.
2 - Maybe I should... try drawing instead of bumming around the internet... maybe then, I'd make some artistic progress.
3 - I love... music, and singing, and performing in general. Also, sad or romantic movies (If no good action flicks are on.)
4 - People would say that i'm... kinda aloof, or detached. Don't take it personally, that's just an Aquarius thing.
5 - I don't understand... why teenage girls suddenly think vampires are so friggin' cool. They need to realize, it's not vampires that they're infatuated with. Dracula was a vampire. Hell, Blackula was a vampire. Edward Cullen is a sparkly homo with fangs. Get it straight, ladies.
6 - When I wake up in the morning... if I have nothing particularly important to do that day, I'll lay in bed for a while, just thinking, and letting myself wake up slowly. Then, finally get up when I'm hungry.
7 - I lost... my mind. Help me find it?
8 - Life is full of... trauma. There is no real happiness, just a brief, enjoyable pause between traumatic experiences.
9 - My past is... not a fun thing to explore. Full of doctor visits, medications, and pathetic crushes that ultimately led nowhere.
10 - I get annoyed when... people try to boss me around, or try to force me to see or do things their way. I'm not saying I'm always right, I'm just saying that YOU'RE not always right.
11 - Parties are... pretty boring, unless they're with close friends. Then, we can have fun. I don't have fun around strangers, as a general rule.

Letting go
General | Posted 16 years agoIt's about time I started moving on with my life. I keep trying to convince people that I'm not a child anymore, and yet, all I seem to do is prove them right. So, I want this to be one of the first truly mature things I do. Let's hope I don't screw it up too bad.
I'm letting go of it all. All the fear, all the anger, all the sadness you caused me... I'm letting go. All is forgiven. I can't keep this kind of stuff bottled up anymore, and it's really not worth it. I don't have the time or energy to stay angry, or to keep hating you.
And I'm definitely not letting you drag me down into a depressive state, even though that's what has been going on for ages. Every time I see something purple, or listen to Savage Garden, or even think about doodling something, the thought of you is there. And it bogs me down, because in truth, I don't want to hate you. I have a wealth of good memories of the times we shared, and in my own way, I'll probably treasure them forever.
However, I can't go on thinking about you everyday, even in the good way. I have to keep moving forward, but my heart and mind are still shackled to the past. So, I'm letting go of practically everything that ties us together. The hate, the sorrow, the unspoken words... None of it matters now. They're painful parts of a past that can't exist in the future I have planned out for myself.
There's only one thing for certain that I'm clinging onto for good, and that's what originally drew me to you: my love of your artwork. I never stopped respecting you as an artist, and still have the original copy of that cute picture you gave me. It must be pretty special if it hasn't been burned yet.
So, it's done. You no longer have any power over me. I wouldn't be against starting over, as friends. It probably won't happen for months, or even years, but if you ever find it in you to forgive me for the things I've done, I promise not to make the same mistakes again.

I dunno. There used to be a time when I could scribble out nearly anything, and call it a job well done. I would run around showing people, or sticking it online to get reactions. Thinking back, I'm realizing just how immature I've been. All that time, I was acting like a child who just got a gold star on his assignment, and ran around showing random people out of pure innocence.
I can't afford to do that anymore. I'm not a child. Meaning that certain things just aren't appropriate anymore.
Such as scribbling out just anything and calling it art. To me, true art comes from the heart, and for some reason, my heart won't let me show what it wants to say. Nothing I draw comes out right. It sort of feels like something is missing... A few months ago, I might have gone so far as to say someone, but now I highly doubt that's the case. Until I find what that something is, I won't be able to free up whatever is blocking me from my creativity. I can barely even write nowadays, let alone pick up a pen.
So... yeah. That's it. Just thought I'd let you all know. I might occasionally decide to doodle something half-heartedly and put it here, but it doesn't mean I'll be "back." Until I've rediscovered what drove me to do this in the first place, I can't call myself an artist anymore.

Birthday journal revisited
General | Posted 16 years agoSoo. Today was pretty flipping awesome. Did nothing in school, came home and played Assassin's Creed 2 for a while. It's incredible so far, and not even because of the thinly veiled reference to Mario right after you leave Florentine. So far, it's been the best birthday in memory. I actually got a midnight call from my girlfriend; the first time anyone's bothered to stay up until midnight just to wish me a happy birthday. It's a nice feeling. I also got the most cards I've ever gotten in one year, and somehow, all my Facebook friends suddenly remembered that I exist.
Later this week, I'm probably gonna do the karaoke thing again. Possibly the first two minutes of Dancing Through Life from Wicked, since I already know the words. Haven't decided... it's between that, I Don't Know You Anymore by Savage Garden, and With One Look, from... I don't remember what play it's from exactly, but I know Michael Ball did a cover of that song that was amazing. I hope I don't screw up any of those songs too bad.
I'm gonna go write now. I'm falling behind on my vampire story. If I get far enough ahead, I might start work on a short series about new character. Only time will tell.

I'm just excited. I dunno why. Maybe it's because last year was such a good year (despite SOMEONE trying to screw it up). So far, I've gotten everything that I want, and it's only 7 in the morning. Let's hope today just keeps getting better. ^_^

General | Posted 16 years agoHah. I love saying that and seeing people's reactions. It's quite fun. Especially people who think it's funny, but for the sake of keeping their jobs, can't laugh.
Yeah, I'm bored.
Annnnnnnnd I randomly got the urge to download the entire symphonic recording of Les Miserables. It's my kind of music. I'm starting to rediscover my love of all things Broadway. Which is good, because I was having doubts about my plans for the future. The whole acting/singing thing was starting to look less and less appealing. But now I am singing all the time, and truly happy. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was listening to everything BUT Broadway stuff. So, I'm in love again. I'm working hard for what I want now, and that is to get the lead role in a Broadway production.
That may or may not start with an American Idol audition... stay tuned.
And I've gotten back to doodling in my notebook frequently. The doodles aren't half bad either, by my standards. Hopefully, I'll be able to work my way to tablet drawing soon.
Ahh. I'm gonna stop here. I have to work on my writing for a bit before bed. Bleeding Love is still going strong, check it out on Quizilla if you're ever bored.

I haven't forgotten that idea for a drawing I got from this song, it just... never happened. That happens with a lot of my ideas, they just never come to fruition. Either because I start working on them and they don't work out like I want them to, or because I never start working on them. That makes me sad though, this was a really sweet idea. Until I realized i was really just trying to impress someone, and it wasn't worth it anymore.
