Posted a year agoI love doing short little summaries of my experience in artfight! Another year has passed, and here are my stats!
Hi there! Artfight is over, so its time for this years summary:
I managed to create 22 pictures this year. Two more than the last years, whoohoo! And I wish I would have had time for more in the beginning, but personal reasons had set me back sadly.
I revenged baaasically every attack I got at least once. Wasn't able to keep up with a few chains. Plus I received two 'revenges' for works I have done last year, that was super sweet! <3
While I made 22 pictures, I received 26 pictures this year! LIKE WOW! Last year I received 15 pieces, this year it was almost double that! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ;A;
Out of the 26 pictures, these are my OC counters (I love these the most to see who's most popular x3):
Morvius - 4 pictures (with like 3 of them back to back haha)
Donovan & Molly - 3 pictures each
Shenmi, Chiron, Nathan, Alain, Adam, Sheridan, Atticus: - 2 pictures each

Custom commission news

I want to try to come back to art. I really want to. But I struggle finding motivation. I thought about doing commissions for a while now - but I came to one conclusion:
I (probably) won't be taking any more custom commissions.
(There are a few peeps i will get back to, but speaking of the future here.)
While I liked the idea of drawing what others people want to see visualized, I... often find myself faced with art-blocks the moment I *need* to draw something specific because someone paid for it.
Also, there have been people in the past asking for weird NSFW content that i felt uncomfortable with. And just having to deal with the situation and saying "no" is very uncomfortable for me as i am a people pleaser. Denying requests is always hard for me - so I think I will refrain offering custom commissions altogether.
I will focus trying on YCHs and artistic freedom commissions, if anything. Probably more YCHs though. Maybe. Honestly, first I have to get into the mood of drawing again first and foremost. But then i think I will step back in my offerings and concentrate on the things I work comfortably with.

I think with the coming YCHs I will adjust my prices a little (to make them a bit more affordable). I saw commissions plummeting last year. This year I havent been open for commissions yet, but with the economy crumbling as it is, I dont think many of *my* customers can afford my prices. So yeah.

I am so sorry Ive been absent for so long. I'm not particularly doing bad or anything, just having lots of stuff to do privately so that I barely find time for drawing...!
I just wanna do sooooo many things and I just dont have enough freetime to work it all out.
Speaking of working it out - with the new year coming, I will try to do more for my personal health. Loose some weight. Work out. At least try to get fitter...!
