Antrocon 2013 Wrap Up!!
Posted 12 years agoHad an awesome time at Antrocon this year--it was my first time, so i was a total virgin.
Got tons of great feedback on my fursuit, from both furrys and the locals (thanks Beastcub!). The highlight was walking down the street and interacting with locals, who all wanted to rub my magic horn for luck (OK, maybe i suggested that!) Spent a record 8 hours in my suit on Sat, good thing it was cold outside. Oh wait.....
I roomed with Vendrabuck who was an awesome deer to be with at the con and I would stay with him anytime. The social highlight was having my first "stalker" who was kind of cute (maybe next time if you are out there!) and getting dinner with spottycat, zerafa, groogyfox (did he really drive there???) and neonbunny).
Okay on to the next con!

Reno Convention Quick Recap
Posted 12 years agoGreat Con! It was small enough so you got to really hang out with all those people you saw but never had time to at other cons. Great friends and fun times!
Day one started out by Vendra talking me into playing a poker tournament in the casino while we were waiting for everyone to show up. I haven't playing in years, but put up my 50 bucks and the 15- 20 of us started out. Because I didnt really care and they knew i was a newbie I made some bold and wild (ok erratic) playing which resulted in me beating everyone at the first table ( a bunch of hardened regulars) and moving to the final table.
Slowly everyone started to fall away including my friend (sorry Vendra..I did buy lunch at least!) till we were down to me and "mister big" who tried to frighten me with a "all in" play shoving his chips in so I shoved in mine and after his prediction "I will have all your chips" lost and was sent packing back to his nam buddies at the doughnut shop to bitch about the evil furry! So, I won the tournament and a few hundred bucks, which isnt a bad way to start the day. I made sure to blow it on swag over the next couple of days.
My friends (Trail Horse) and I then started fursuiting in the convention center under the main casino which we shared with the rabbit people's convention (did they smell or what??). In the elevator, in full regalia, someone asked, "what is going on with all that?" I am a 6'9 unicorn with the horn on, so quite noticeably with the glowing blue and purple LED eyes.
I replied, "Oh I am with the rabbit convention." in full deadpan but I dont think anyone bought that! It was a lot of fun to walk around and hug friends and new ones, but my memory is not so great, so I did have to be reminded (sorry about that!) a few times. Major props to Beastcub for her amazing suit again, everyone wanted pictures even those pesky rabbit people
We had a few meals and room parties last night and finally we went down to the ballroom and since the music was some great dance music I was dancing in full suit with some awesome new and old friends including trail horse, Zarafa, Amenophis and others. It was pure magic and we were totally in the zone.
Since I wear a kilt I did the "highland fling" which everyone was clapping too till my heart gave out from pure diaphoretic fatigue. Met some great friends and hug out and had an awesome time. More detailed up to come later, I promise!

FC 2013
Posted 13 years agoJust a quick wrap up on my FC 2013 experience, which was also the first time for me wearing BeastCub's amazing Frisian stallion suit (I hope it was a stallion suit..or did I check mare..humm). The experience was great, running into so many people i hadn't seen in a long time and actually having the time to catch up with them, and what was going on in their lives. That's as good as it gets.
The fursuit was a hit, other then the one drunk non-furry who actually did hit my head,"whoa dude, those eyes are sooo cool *bap*". Lots of good feedback made it a very positive experience and one I want to repeat soon. The only problem was with the fans and limited visibility I am sure I "ignored" a lot of people I would have otherwise talked to. If that was YOU, then I am sorry it wasn't you it was ME. :)
Look forward to hanging out with you all in the future. Cheers,
