OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS
Posted 13 years agoFeedback Journal?
Posted 13 years agoI'm interested in creating a journal for users who purchase from me to leave feedback for others to see.
If you guys would do that for me, that'd be awesome. I'll make a separate journal for it.

BABY OPOSSUM AND FLYING SQUIRREL NOW FOR SALE
Posted 13 years agoGOING TO AUCTION THE OPOSSUMS AND SQUIRREL
Posted 13 years agoYeah, I think I'm going to end up auctioning them on
's suggestion.
Because.
Fuck, I have a very expensive fursuit and many bills to pay for.
I'll be posting photos once I get them jarred up, again.
I've gotta purchase some more supplies. I'm very finicky about what jars I use because I want them to accentuate the animal, not hinder it or hide it or otherwise. I like my specimens to look natural as opposed to HERE I SHOVED THIS IN A GLASS JAR because that's disrespectful.
Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated. :V I never imagined I'd have so many people into these and the demand just makes it unfair to have first-come, first-served.
Since this purchase went well I'm going to more confident in getting animals from other taxidermists. :) So keep your eyes peeled.
I'll also be getting a smaller jar for the bearded dragon and he will be available too.

A NOTE ABOUT MY WORK
Posted 13 years agoTaken from my profile info:
"Wet Specimen Preservation is a type of taxidermy used by scientists and researchers for hundreds of years. When biologists and other scientists found an animal of interest during an expedition, they needed a way to bring it back for further study and classification. Because of the lack of technology we have today, they could not simply pack the animal in a freezer. They instead used a mixture of chemicals to keep the animal fresh for the journey home, and were then able to remove and look at the specimen at will. This method is also used for long-term storage.
Many prestigious museums and scientific institutions across the world stock hundreds of different species of animals in this means, in order to preserve them for future generations.
Today, we have other means of studying creatures, but some curious collectors enjoy the old-world look that comes with a critter in a jar.
They're now used for curios, an oddity to strike up a conversation about and to be appreciated.
I have taken my time learning this craft and it's enjoyable for me.
I do NOT just shove an animal in a jar and pour chemicals on them. It's much more involved than that.
I believe there is beauty in death, and just because an animal has passed does not make it any less important.
I celebrate the life of the animal by immortalizing it for the enjoyment and curiosity of others.
If Taxidermy is not your taste, that's quite all right. Please move on and keep your comments to yourself.
There's thousands of people who feel quite contrary to you.
I DO support animal welfare, but I do believe there IS a time and place for responsible hunting, farming, and taxidermy."
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH IT, NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO LOOK.
I WILL NOT TOLERATE PEOPLE BERATING MY CRAFT OR THE CRAFT OF OTHERS JUST BECAUSE YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH IT.
It's childish, ignorant, and close-minded. I DO NOT HAVE TO and WILL NOT mark my submissions higher than a general rating.
There is NO BLOOD, GORE, OR DISTRESS. I am completely within my rights per the AUP.
I'm very sorry you disagree with me, but respect my wishes. It's my privilege as a user of this site.
