Hey guys!! So I'll be getting to work on the badges soon, just been juggling stuff this week like a bridal shower (for my friend, not for me! lol) and a job interview.

it's possible I may or may not have a job coming up... I don't know whether or not to be excited because it's an arts and crafts store but they can only hire me part time and seasonal as a cashier but their machines aren't new so they have to calculate everything by hand... and I totally failed the math test.

But I drew a cute dragon on the back so... maybe they will reconsider??? >_> I should hear from them on Friday or next week sometime.

Either way, looking forward to the income... not looking forward to the job. He seemed a bit put off by the fact that I had a weekend dedicated to a convention and reminded me that requests were only requests but they could work around them. I don't even wanna know how its gunna go in January when I say "oh btw I'm going to England for 2 weeks in March/April possibly over easter.. ha..ha...)"

So I'm just giving myself a year to find an actual art job because I made it more or less apparent that I have a career path I plan to pursue instead of..well.. you get the idea.

So... I guess we'll see...

so like... I forgot that i promised people free badges like forever ago... but I've been looking at a lot of badges lately and omg I wanna make some. But it's boring just making some of just one or two of my characters over and over again and I want to make some samples so maybe I can advertise and be all "HEY LOOK AT THIS COOL STUFF I CAN DO"

It's an art featurette blog I put together. Because I'd like to have my own art gallery or zine featuring other artists but I can't afford it/don't know much about the business. So I made this instead. It's pretty small at the moment but if anyone knows a way to help it grow (a.k.a. other artists I should feature, etc) please let me know!

I try to contact EVERY artist I feature unless of course they don't speak English and I don't know how to cross the language barrier very well. I also have found that people on DA are kind of...unresponsive. So enjoy what's there and stuff :D

Hey guys I'm back! (officially this time) and yes I'm x-posting this to my other places so sorry ahead of time if you are forced to read this drabble more than once xD

So basically the summer has been an adventure. I quit my other job because I just had too much stress, we lost a source of income in the house, I'm not really getting much luck with commission work but I'm still slave driving to get work done. I went to Nebraska to work for two weeks with my grandparents and made a decent amount of money. Decent enough that I was able to add the rest to my plane ticket fund.

So after this coming week, I will have a plane ticket to visit  devillo! <3<3

Also I sold a few copies of Ghost Light! WEWT. I debated for a long time whether to go ahead and work on the next issue but I think the next one will probably be out after Christmas sometime, so I can have some time to get this first one out there and recognized. The reason for this is because I'm going to do my first con this November! I have my booth reserved and will pay the rest soon! SO YAY. So if any of you guys are in the Memphis area, drop by November 5th, and 6th! I'll be selling mini-comics, preview books, and advertising the hell out of Ghost Light and GRS. I had T-shirts made by some friends who run a T-shirt/embroidery company. I may ask them to make some extras for me for the con but it depends on how much money I have. I can't really seem to attract many commissions even though I'm willing to do everything for like $10 and under if I have to. Unless you commission me to draw like... 20 characters in one piece with 50 leaning towers of Pisa in the background. I dunno xD I really would like to work regularly on commission work but sadly I'm not too good at telling people GIVE ME YOUR MONEY like a homeless person so meh. Advice welcome.

Grim Reaper School will be back in action next week hopefully. I worked hard on pencils and scripts over the 2 weeks I was gone. I'm guna ditch the "regular update schedule" BS and just update whenever I want/can. Because it's less stressful that way I guess?

Other than that, gunna try and use these places more to upload art and everything. I've been going through a kind of disconnect lately partly because I'm so busy but also because internet has just become kind of stale for me. I feel bad saying it but it's true. So hopefully I'll be more active now, at least until I get another part time job to pay my bills and feed myself lol.

I'm putting GRS on a small hiatus again. I didn't want to. At all. Every time I try to sit down and work on it, things happen. And I've had to work on some side projects to rope in some money. RL just takes a front seat. I've been close to just calling it quits with the comic because I want it to have a regular update schedule, I WANT it to be cool and awesome and use all of my energy to create something awesome, but something out in the universe doesn't want me to :\

So basically, I'll start it up again when I come back from working in August. I actually do have a page started but I still have to pack and tomorrow I'll be out all day so I won't even get a chance to ink it. I think I'm just going to use the time I have to make more pages, sketch out some ideas for the site, and work on some extra content. My ultimate goal is to have it finished up sometime next year. I would stop working on it altogether but I have so much more I want to do with it story wise, so many different stories and things.

I know everyone understands I'm just musing because I feel guilty and I feel bad for uploading a comic and being all "omg yay I get to update again!" And then the next week is like "oh btw here's all this BS you have to deal with. were you working on something? Oh sorry! Well oops! too bad!" :|

So idk. Sorry if anyone has really been looking forward to it coming back. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of it than it is xD But idk. I know how big of a let down it is to go read your favorite comic and find out they haven't updated or will not update for a long time to come. it sucks D:

So, a question. Because apparently I'm incapable of making one myself. Ha.

I know that I'm behind on updating my webcomic (which is due mostly to life situations atm) but I want to pick it back up and carry on the story again, as well as work on some other projects. I actually did an internet search out of curiosity to see if anyone was chatting or talking about the comic (not in a bad, gossipy way but just to see). And I've found that the comic has fans I've never even met or heard of before, and the ones I used to talk to are on forums or messengers I don't go to or use anymore. Mostly because I'm really busy and don't leave the messengers on when I'm not home. They lag up my comp too and it's already breaking down slowly u_u; I'm also really shy when it comes to forums and joining a forum that's already got a huge community. So I'm just kind of "errrghhh" when it comes to communicating. But lately I've had the urge to kind of.. bring everyone together. Not necessarily my friends because we all have different interests when it comes to communicating, but just for the fans and the readers and those who follow my work.

So I made a poll to see where the demographic is, mostly, and to see if anyone has any particular interest or favors one against the other. Of course there could be none at all but I know how many followers and readers I have on comicfury, facebook, and the like, but I'm curious to see if I can bring some kind of community together to discuss the comic, the characters, or just geek out in general. I'm typically very nice to people, even though I can be kind of a bitchy moderator, and I'm okay with whatever as long as it doesn't harm other people or the original purpose of the project or community. So, that being said, what would you guys like in terms of communicating? I know some webcomics have huge forums, some have LJ's, some have everything and anything under the sun. But my projects aren't really that big in popularity which is fine by me honestly. I don't really want to be buried in too much hype (plus I don't update often enough to be considered anything more lol). So I guess I'm just curious to see. So answer the poll, leave comments or opinions or don't say anything.

Not all of them have changed but a few things have. If you, the commissioner, decide you want to pay me more for something, then that's okay with me. I am willing to negotiate!

So here goes:

Commission Prices:

For $3 I will do:

•Critter bookmarks
•Oekaki art
•Doodle art

For $5 I will do:

•Badges
•Chibis
•Bookmarks

For $10 I will do:

(Simple background)
•Sketches
•Postcards
•Bust or waist-up

For $15 I will do:

(Simple background)
•Inked/Black and White
•Full toned character
•Full/detailed background sketches

For $20 I will do:

•Full color character
•Full/detailed background inked/toned
•Character sheets

For $30 I will do

•Full/detailed background color

For $40+ I will do traditional illustrations. It's more expensive because of the cost of materials and etc etc. For single characters it will be $40 and in the $50 range for full background depending on the complexity.

*Add $5 per character/figure if you want more than one

What I won't draw:

•Porn: Not because I'm a prude (maybe a little), but because I'm not that good at it, like at all.
•Animations: I am flash retarded and I can't animate. I know people who can though!!
•Mechs: I can't draw robots but if you're willing to challenge me and work with me, we can uh.. work something out xD
•Hate art: I will not draw anything that is meant to be a violent act against someone else or some racial/religious group.
• Cub/Scat/Vore: that goes for anything pedo-related. Cause yes I may have a pedo crush on Zac Efron but I don't do the whole... fetish thing.
• Other people's characters without their permission

What I will draw:

•Fan Art: I feel weird drawing other people's characters for payment but uh yeah xD I'll draw whatever you ship I guess.
•BL/GL
•Pinup style/tasteful stuff

•Why do you charge so much for traditional stuff?
A: because I am poor and need money to replace failing materials or paper or whatever. It takes more time and work.

•Do you make anything like keychains or jewelry?
A: I do a lot of handmade stuff but right now it's in the experimentation stage, so I haven't advertised anything yet. I don't want to offer it up if it all sucks xD haha

•Are you for hire?
A: YES. I will freelance for moneys.

•Can I pay you to draw comics?
A: I don't really like doing comics for commission but eh. why not. I charge a lot more for those though. Like $75+ :\ depends though

•Do you take requests/trades?
A: I don't take requests unless it involves my characters, because I like to hear what others like to see of my rather colorful cast 8D But otherwise, no. Often times Requests get put at the bottom of the list and don't get done then people get hurt feelings and drama blah blah. So no no no. Trades? I'll consider it but only if you're a close friend and have patience 8D But those don't get done as fast either.

•Why does it take you so long to do commissions?
A: I dunno. It just does. I'm kind of slow with them. I have a kind of mental block from a long time ago where I got burnt out drawing requests all the time and now i just drag my feet. it's not that I don't WANT to do them, I'm just always busy and get preoccupied. So if you need something right away, please give me a deadline! I work better with time restraints.

•Will you make art on things like tags or cardboard and stuff?
A: if you have an idea and want to see me make art on some kind of material I haven't tried yet, challenge me! I'm willing to experiment!

•Do you know of anyone who can make......
A: If I can't make something for you, I'll direct you to someone I know who does. I have friends with a wide range of talents so if I know of anyone who is open for commissions, I'll send you their link :)

Long time no journal.

Oh god where do I start.

So I quit my job with the dog kennel recently because things were just getting way too stressful. I'm going to work with my grandparents for two weeks in July so hopefully that will last me until I find another job. Which once again will take up the time I have to do art. Joy.

The second situation I've been asked by the family to keep it under wraps. Basically we've lost a source of income. Everyone is kind of trying to keep in high spirits about it but idk. It's really scary in this day and age o.o TBH we all kind of sensed it was coming, but that's been my main fear since people have been fired left and right with this shitty economy. So, that's the simple end of it.

I'm really desperate to hang onto the money I saved for England, I have enough to get me through the next few weeks to pay my bills for this month. After that I don't know. I don't even know if I'll have enough to pay for the dog's vet bills.

So if anyone wants any commissions, please drop me a line? I'll negotiate prices, anything. I just need to roll in some kind of money since I'm currently unemployed. So if anyone knows of friends who might be interested in my kind of work, feel free to pass my name around? I could use all the help I can get.
