Time for a Change/ Updates/ New Account
Posted 4 years ago Hey guys I just wanted to stop in and give you guys an update on how I'm doing.
- I'm currently dealing with the loss of my friend 
- He was one of the first people I met when I joined this fandom/ started going to conventions. Although I was not super duper close to him I've known him for years and have been going through grief.
I'm trying to keep myself busy with smaller projects such as the head shots and such, I'm trying to keep drawing despite the bright light from my tablet screen straining/ hurting my eyes after awhile, so I work in spurts to avoid migraines.
I plan on uploading the completed head-shot batch soon!
--- As for refunds I still have a couple more people I need to send refunds out to before I reach out to the next few people on my old queue, please be patient with me while I do this! I will refund everyone.
* I honestly feel it's better to refund the larger commissions because frankly I'm burnt out on vore so I feel it's best at this point due to the wait time.
* Due to my vision changes I honestly can't work on art for longer than 1-2 hours at time without experiencing severe eyestrain/ migraines. -- I'm looking into glasses to wear while at the PC/ getting a new pair of glasses with the left lens tinted.
In other news: I've decided it's time to make a new FA account and start over.
why? This account is 8 years old and frankly I just feel like I'm ready to start over fresh. I juggled back and forth with just purging my gallery but I don't want to delete all of my old art because it documents my journey through digital art and I feel it's important to keep those images around in some capacity. My new account is 
I'll probably leave this account as-is for now and likely shove everything into a folder/ use this account for personal art in the future. 
Health Updates / Updates
Posted 4 years ago Hey guys, I just wanted to drop in and give everyone another update about my eye.
So I went to the specialist visit and everything went great, the swelling in my optical nerve is gone and everything has returned to normal However due to how severe the infection was, and how long it went un-diagnosed there's scar tissue all over the back of my eye. so unfortunately the vision change in my left eye is permanent. I can see in my peripheral vision kind of but pretty much there's a large hole in my vision in my left eye/ effectively I legally considered blind in that eye. So I am incredibly bummed that the vision change is permanent. BUT he did try to reassure me that with time you'd be surprised how well the brain adapts and my vision might get a little better.

So yeah, that's pretty much how things went at the specialist. ---
As far as commissions go:
- I will be taking some new commission work in order to refund most/ if not all of my current queue.
I just feel it's best as a lot of you have waited very patiently and I honestly just feel really bad at this point because of that.
If you have a commission from me and would like a refund from me I completely understand, just send me a note and I'll get that to you as soon as I'm able to.
If you are okay with waiting/ want to change your commission or the character in the commission just let me know.
Specialist Appointment this week - Updates
Posted 4 years agoHey guys, I'm still here and I haven't forgotten about anyone.
My vision is still very heavily impaired though I have noticed some slow and gradual changes for the better, I was told that it will take a long time to heal. I go back on the 11th to make sure the inflammation in my optical nerve is receding/ to check the progress of my eye. I'm pretty sure I will receive good news, but I'm going none the less to make sure lol.
- I have received my 2nd covid vaccine dose a couple days ago! Aside from a very sore arm and some body aches/ random bouts of nauseousness the first couple of days I am pretty much back to 100%
I'm looking forward to being fully vaccinated in 2 weeks! Of course I still plan on wearing my facemask lol.
Other than having a hard time seeing I've been slowly SLOWLY getting acclimated to my new tablet, with my vision being wonky it's hard to see the screen at times and straining my good eye gives me a headache so I draw in spurts lol. I do have a couple pieces I need to upload that I drew on the new tablet!
----now that I'm pretty much used to my tablet I feel confident enough to pluck away at new commissions on the new tablet.

- My lab results confirmed his suspicions: Diagnosis is Neuroretinitis which is commonly called "cat scratch disease" It happens when bartonella bacteria (commonly carried by cats) somehow manages to get into your eye. It causes infection, inflammation of your optical nerve and as a result --- Vision loss.
HOWEVER! The good news is that it will resolve once I finish my round of antibiotics / get rid of the infection. I go back again in three weeks to make sure that the inflammation is still decreasing/ that my eye is making good progress towards healing. When I first went the vision in my left eye was 20/100 and last time it was 20/70 so It is improving and that's a huge relief.
I've decided I will be reaching out and refunding the majority of what's on my queue right now. --- most everyone on the list has waited long enough and I just feel it's appropriate to issue those refunds. (for the larger commission pieces)

Health Update: Another Specialist
Posted 4 years agoSo I went to the specialist today, and everything went okay! I found out it's not retinal detachment, cancer, or anything super scary. In fact he THINKS it's neuroretinitis which is just inflammation of the optical nerve (which is what's causing my vision changes.) I have to go to ANOTHER specialist on Monday so they can put some dyes in my eye and take some special photos/ basically have some more tests done to confirm that that's what's going on. BUT he wasn't alarmed or worried for me, so hopefully after Monday I'll have a concrete answer and be able to start treatment.

Posted 4 years ago So I went to the Optometrist the other day to have them take a look at my eye, which has been extremely blurry/ hard to see out of the last few days. She took a photo of my eye and then immediately told me to go to to the ER.
- Went to the the ER
*Had blood drawn and a cat scan
they told me they basically had no idea and I'm supposed to call a specialist today. Wish me luck. I'm scared and nervous and I hope that it's something TREATABLE. New Tablet Arrived and set up/ Health Update/ Queue Updat...

I just wanted to drop in and give you guys an update! My new tablet has arrived! It's a Huion Kamvas pro 16' -- a friend of mine helped me purchase it and I am forever grateful for your help!
I'm still taking the time to get used to it, but I have begun the process of getting back on top of my commissions again. I hope to send out work in progress images and touch base with everyone soon! Thank you all so much for being so patient with me. I will also reach out and see if anyone would like a refund, as I understand it has been some time since I have uploaded/ completed some of these commissions on my queue.
In other news: We're working on making the house a little more inviting lol, we bought some flowers for the yard, my room mate got a porch swing and an iron bench. We got a raised bed kit and planted some veggies! I'm very excited to grow some more food this year, I grew some zucchini last year and they kept giving, and giving us zucchini so I wanna do some more baking and home cooking with food I grew myself!
---- Health Update: I have an emergency eye appointment tomorrow - I woke up and there was a bright spot in my vision (like I looked into a bright light or something) if I focus I can tell what I'm looking at but it's extremely hard to see out of my left eye/ very blurry and every time i blink it's like I'm seeing stars. I thought it was my allergies at first so I took some allergy medication and none of it helped and the problem persists so hopefully nothing serious is going on with my eyesight. It's very scary to think about actually. I'll keep everyone posted once I do find out what the problem is though! Wish me luck! send me all the good vibes D:

I have had a terrible habit of not writing commissions down and just making a SAI./PSD File with the reference in a folder on my desktop. This may have worked for me in the past, but it will certainly not work for me going forward.(especially now.) - I want to try and be as organized as possible when it comes to commissions going forward, and I certainly will NOT be overwhelming myself EVER again.Refund List:________________

Posted 4 years ago- Hello! I just wanted to remind everyone that I am here, I am alive and I have not forgotten about any of you. I will actually be reaching out to a couple people and issuing refunds as soon as I have the funds to do so.
I'm honestly burnt out on vore at the moment and several people have been waiting awhile so I feel it would be best to issue refunds when I'm able. --- I have a fursuit I'm working on and will be selling as soon as it's complete, once that is sold I will reach out and issue as many refunds as I am able to.
In other news my car is completely toast. Or rather it would be more expensive to fix my car than to just buy a functional one. (that and my car is in TERRIBLE SHAPE.) so we'll be looking into replacing that soon. One thing after another am I right?

Dog Update/ Updates/ Queue
Posted 4 years ago- Hey guys! I just wanted to drop in and give you guys an update about my dog Lily! Thankfully she is responding to rest and medication!!!! HALLELUJAH I was terrified we would have to look into a surgical option in order for her to regain function of her legs. She still struggles and stumbles a lot but with time and physical therapy thankfully she will bounce back. --- I plan on getting her a back brace for her to wear for awhile while she continues to recover.
- I will be diving back into commission work starting next week. I have a tablet, and I'm ready to begin to dig back into commissions - thank you everyone for all of your kind words regarding my dog, donations, and all the love you guys sent me. Thank you all for being so patient, seriously.

Dog Update,
Posted 4 years agoSo after calling around vets all morning I settled on one and checked her in, She was xrayed and the vet noticed narrowing between the disks on two spots in her back. He thinks what happened was when I pinched her tail she jerked away and pulled which is what hurt her back. He is hopeful that it is just a sprain and with steroids the situation will improve, but he did not hype me up or tell me that she will 100% walk again. But he is hopeful since she can feel her back legs and will try to pull away when you pinch her pads or between her toes.
- She is on steroids, a pain pill, and a muscle relaxer
I'm to keep her immobile as I can while she heals, and I am praying. absolutely PRAYING that since I got her to the vet within hours of it happening that her chances are better but he did tell me if nothing improves we may have to look into surgical options. I'm worried sick about my baby.
- I will not be working on anything while I care for her as she is not allowed to move. Please understand this.
I'm already preparing in case I do have to explore a surgical option and I may or may not depending on if she progresses or shows progress/ WANTING to use her legs set up a go fund me to help with the cost IF she does need surgery. If I can I want to explore absolutely every option out there. This dog literally is my best friend and quite literally saved my life, she came into my life in such a dark time and has done nothing but love me unconditionally and I have to do the same for her.
- I may offer fast turn around commissions in order to facilitate any extra cost.
- I absolutely hate to ask for anything, but if you do feel like tossing a couple dollars my way PLEASE let me know so I can draw something for you in exchange (regardless of amount)

Taking my dog to the vet, Emergency. Please read
Posted 4 years agoSo I'm panicking right now, I accidentally ran over the tip of my dogs tail with my office chair.
Now, other than the tail being pinched and there being a little tiny wound from it being pinched she's find on a surface level HOWEVER. She now is refusing to use her back legs, and I can tell she is in some serious pain. SO I'm taking her to the vet today to see if her using her legs is simply due to the amount of pain she's in (best case scenario they give her pain meds and she's fine) Or if something more serious is going on. She is a Chihuahua daushund mix, and I know those are prone to back issues if they suddenly tweak their back/ jump etc. So I'm wondering if she hurt her back when she reacted to her tail being smooshed. EITHER WAY, I've been calling vets all morning and I'm going to try to get her in to the vet as soon as possible because I legit am panicking thinking I somehow paralyzed my dog.. I had a panic attack after it happened .... She is my best friend, and honestly I don't know what I would do without her in my life, she means so much to me.

- I do have money for a new one thanks to my stimulus so I will be shopping around for a new one and I have my eye on the Huion Kamvas Pro or something in the Kamvas line. I've wanted a screen tablet for a long time and my tablet dying is a push for me to just bite the bullet and upgrade. So I will be ordering one of those as soon as I'm able!

Resuming Commission work soon/ QUEUE
Posted 5 years agoJust stopping in to let everyone know that I am okay. I'm glad I took the time to really digest how I feel and honestly I feel like I needed to step away from the computer in general and I'm glad I did that. I will be resuming commissions in a couple of days and I will be working at a slower pace, that is okay though as I will still be working and I will still get those commissions out. I am entertaining the idea of streaming them, while having a show on or something - I'm not sure yet as I'm still trying to make some sort of overlay for OBS.
I hope you guys had a wonderful, safe Christmas! I didn't do much since I just can't risk getting my mother sick, she has straight up been told by a doctor that if she gets covid she likely won't survive. (She has one damaged lung, it doesn't operate at full capacity (she got black mold poisoning in her lungs when I was young, and was intubated/ ICU the whole works.) - and the other only operates at 30% capacity AND she has cystic fibrosis. She is on oxygen for the rest of her life.)
ANYWAY. We didn't do anything - My room mate made a home made lasagna and it was delicious! We also made margaritas and pretty much just existed and it was nice.

I hope you guys had a wonderful, safe Christmas! I didn't do much since I just can't risk getting my mother sick, she has straight up been told by a doctor that if she gets covid she likely won't survive. - I will not be working at a fast pace, I'm only tentatively coming back due to the number of questions I get about people's commissions. I cannot ignore them, and I'm tired of saying "Hey I'm still taking some time to digest the feelings around this death give me more time please." - Really kind of upsetting tbh. But at this point I just want to clear the commissions and then resume my hiatus until I'm ready.
- I am doing okay mentally, moreso worried about my mother who seems to be struggling a lot. (it's her father and their relationship was a complicated one, she has a lot of guilt.)
I have not forgotten about anyone. I will complete the commissions I took.

I'll probably stay on hiatus for a little while longer, honestly this whole death in the family has me fucked up mentally and I'm not sure how to feel so I've been taking some time to I guess come to terms/digest?
For context I wasn't close to this person, this person was actually quite abusive to myself and my brother when we where younger so I'm trying to digest all these feelings I guess? Like I don't even know how to talk about it I guess, it's a strange, strange feeling(putting it lightly). Anyway, I'll be resuming after the funeral which will likely be sometime this month - My mom still hasn't given me the exact date, I will let you all know once it's over and I'll be sure to let you guys know when I'm ready to come back.

Posted 5 years agoGot a call last night at about 1:30am to tell me that my Grandpa (my mom's dad) passed away last night.
We knew this was coming, but no one is ever truly prepared.
I will be taking a few days to myself and then I will be back.

Working, Queue Updates etc.
Posted 5 years agoJust stopping in to remind everyone that I am diligently working away on commissions, I often take small breaks or work on other things between regular commission work to keep myself sane. - And I don't plan on taking any new work until I've knocked down some of my queue.
I'm really excited to be doing some collab work with my friend 
(Honestly big bless, we still haven't gotten a repair estimate for the car, so I'm able to set aside extra for that AND be sure we have groceries!) They have such lovely line work and I've been practicing/learning Sai2 while coloring them! I plan to move all my commission work over to Sai2 (and then eventually Clip Studio once it's on sale again.) I hope to post some updates and send out some wips on the 20th <3 Thank you all for being so patient with me, I'm so thankful for all of you <3

Car Trouble. AGAIN. Updates/ Etc.
Posted 5 years ago So someone hit my partner while they where at work (They're a delivery driver) - He is okay and unharmed. Like he was turning and I guess the person who hit him just didn't stop, I don't know. All I know is the passenger door is absolutely ruined, glass shattered and its stuck shut from the impact. Luckily they stayed, and provided their insurance information. Insurance wrote it up to a total loss, and offered to either give is 1,300$ (if they took our car) or 800$ (and we keep our car) I have to call around and see if there's a shop here in town that would even be willing to pry off the passenger door to replace it AND the back hatch which was vandalized in October. (someone literally shot it with a shotgun) - So I now have to purchase a back hatch and a passenger door AND pay for labor to replace the parts because I just don't have the tools to get the passenger door unstuck. I'm frustrated and tired of all the car troubles because frankly we just can't:
A. afford anew car.
B. Depending on the repair cost the insurance payout simply won't be enough.
C. We have to get it looked at to even see if it's structurally sound/ safe enough to drive. (It drives just fine, so it's mechanically sound, I just don't know if the frame is damaged or anything like that)
So yeah, that's where I'm at right now. Just, BLEH.
I will be returning to commission work, and getting a little caught up before I sell anything else. I will likely need to take some more work in order to set funds aside for the repairs. Back, Updates, Queue etc.
Posted 5 years agoI'm back from camping! I survived mostly, though I am quite sore and tired from my adventures in the woods. It was also quite cold and wet and although usually I'm fine I had a hard time this year and was FREEZING despite having packed plenty of clothing, I guess I'm just getting old and can't weather the cold as well as I used to be able to.- Please give me a few days to settle down and rest and I will be resuming my work queue as normal.
-I will be opening soon for commissions as I need to be able to replace the back hatch of my car. If you haven't seen the submission some idiot thought it was a smart/ okay to shoot the back of my car with a shotgun/ birdshot. We have no idea why they chose us/ decided to do that to our car since we've only lived here for a few months and have been in quarantine since the pandemic began, honestly I'm still baffled as to WHY.
At least they chose the car rather than my home, my pets, or anyone in my home.
ANYWAY, the hatch will be roughly 100-150$ to replace- possibly more if my partner cannot replace it himself/ we have to pay a shop to do so. I will be selling some more YCH/ perhaps custom commissions soon.
