The Early Stages
Posted 15 years agoAlright, this is the second part to my life's story, I hope you all like it. :3
The days have gone on, and Derik is now 5. By now Rina and Zeki have moved out of their village, and have moved up north. She's started school, with many other anthros; from zebras to the occasional tiger. Derik often asks her mother, "mommy, why are there no tigers at school? They are so pretty with their oranges and whites and blacks.." her mother responds with the same thing, "be glad dear, that you don't see many, be glad that the ones you see aren't 'sumatran', for they kill and shred all." As soon as she finishes talking, Derik walks away into her room and climbs into her bed and shivers despite the heat. She closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep. She has a dream, it's reoccuring, of a sumatran tigher running through her house, killing everyone in sight. The tiger gets to her room, and stops. She shivers and he turns away, walking on his back paws. She then wakes up crying. Rina runs in and caresses her, singing to her until she falls back to sleep. Little does Derik know, that her dream(s) are real...minus the killing. And that her mother and father know this tiger well.

A New Life
Posted 15 years agoHello all who are reading this, my name is Derik and this is the beginning of my story. Enjoy. (:
It's a cool december morning. Two parents are waiting for their baby to be born. Zeki is the father, Rina, the mother. They are from the "Cheetali" tribe, located somewhere in the mid African plains, home of the cheetahs. They can run fast, climb high, and have a wonderful "bed" life...only joking. The Cheetali are a peaceful tribe, not very sexual at all. Only when mating season hits do they "play" at all. By noon Zeki begins to worry. Rina has been in labor for over 5 hours, which even though it is not uncommon, it still worries Zeki. He turns his head, determined to get something to eat, when he hears Rina gasp. He turns around to look, and sees the baby's head. With one final push, their baby is born. Rina breathes deeply, almost a sigh of relief, since the pain is over. She reaches down and picks up her newborn, taking soft wet towels and cleans it up. She looks down and realizes that the baby is a beautiful girl. Her yellowish brown fur so shiny and soft, with a tuft of brown curls on her head. Her little tail with it's black tip all perfect against her little body. Zeki walks over slowly, reaching out to hold his little girl. He carefully picks her up and holds her against him as she sleeps, purring softly. He looks at his wife, looks out the window, and then at his baby girl, and quietly begins to weep tears of joy. Rina, hearing him crying slowly gets up and walks over to him to comfort him. Just as she reaches out to touch his arm, he turns toward her and says "I like the name, Derik." hearing this, Rina smiles and kisses her husband softly on the lips. "I like it too." The pair stand then stand still, basking in the sun by the window, each of them excited to raise their child. A new life has now come to the tribe of the Cheetali, and to Africa.
