Commission update and rebranding
Posted a month agoHello lovely readers!
My thanks to everyone that sent in forms for story coms last month. I've finally went through and organized the submissions for my own sanity's sake. You can find the trello board here for results: https://trello.com/b/Y3ycS7pp
Keep in mind I don't list these in any specific work order, but I do hope to finish all of them by late November. For those that submitted multiple ideas (thank you!) I picked the ones I felt most capable and comfortable doing for you this time around. :3
-
And now the fun part of my announcement...
I'm trans!
Honestly, this has been more of an 'always been there' kind of revelation. Heck. My entire thing for the past 18 years has been almost exclusively around gender bending and queer art/stories. But three weeks ago I finally came to terms with how I feel and I've been much happier for it.
Not much is actually changing around here. I just don't want you to be confused when I start signing off on a different name and there's a lot more red dragon instead of a blue fox showing up. Desmond's still going to be a regular part of my roster, though my main fursona will be changing to better reflect the current me.
On that note, say hi again to the new Levian Jenkins. <3

Where can I sell ebooks?
Posted 3 months agoSomething I've been meaning to do for a long time now is start collecting all the short stories I've written in the past 10 years (almost 300 now, dang!) into some book anthologies for digital reselling and I'm wondering about any good market places to use.
Kindle will accept anything, which is why I don't have high hopes of getting much out of it. There's already way too much AI garbage saturating the storefronts.
Itch.io might still be valid for now. I'm hoping payment processors will finally cave and stop censoring legit and legal businesses just because puritans don't like kink.
Just trying to find myself any other avenues I could spread myself out to.

I've not been well
Posted 4 months agoA new month is upon us and I find myself...alive, at any rate. XD;;
On my last visit to my PCP in May he decided to put me on a new diabetes medication called Trulicity and it has, to put it bluntly, totally crashed my ass. I mean, the stuff works great. A little too well. I've rubber banded from having to struggle with high blood sugar and high blood pressure to finding myself with normal blood pressure and VERY low blood sugar. At one point my glucose test went all the way down to 71 (very dangerous for those unfamiliar with diabetes).
On top of having to suddenly alter my diet from years of strict lean proteins to be more carb friendly, the side effects were also really bad; constant fatigue, sleeping for whole days at a time, dehydration, nausea, joint pains. the important thing is I'm not allergic to Trulicity like the last two meds, so I'm keeping on this for now.
What makes me mad is how this has really destroyed my work output. I didn't even break 10,000 words in June. What little I could manage has been going to finishing up some very overdue commissions and I am once again no where near where I'd like to be in my project queue. The eternal struggle is real.
Now that things have balanced back out again, I'm hoping we can get some catching up done. My health is arguably in one of the best states I've been in since the stroke. :3

Taking 1 story commission! (Closed)
Posted 7 months agoForm can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1.....Vdnkg/viewform
It'll stay open until Monday night, at which point I'll select among the applicants.
Hit me up if you have any questions and thanks for the interest. :>
Real life grumblings:
Welp! In the past three months I've fallen into a severe depression, got messed up by the side effects of anti-depressant medication, sought therapy, and got the sickies TWICE. It's been a rough enough year even without all the diabetes and other *gestures at America* things going on! I've had to take an extended self care break that's finally seeing me get back into my old writing habits. Good thing too, cause my rent doesn't care if I take breaks. ;.;
So, I'm feeling confident enough to start taking story commissions once again. As mentioned before, I'll be taking things slow with one at a time to keep myself from being overwhelmed. Hopefully this comes with a perk that they'll be getting done a lot faster. I've also removed my word caps, but the caveat is that the longer the story, the higher my rates will go. My days of spending months writing half a novel for peanuts has to stop.

Posted 9 months agoNew year! Trying to start fresh! (important com updates)
Posted 10 months agoWelcome to 2025 everyone!
So this is not going to be good news and I'm rather ashamed to make this announcement. But sometimes you have to own up to your mistakes in order to move on.
The tl;dr summary:
Anything still on my waiting list that has not been paid for is canceled. The waiting list system is officially tossed. Any commissions paid for in part or full will be worked to completion or refunded at the clients request. My plans for future commission openings are currently being reevaluated for 2025. They will probably be infrequent and very small (1 or 2 at a time).
The explanation:
I know I’ve been fairly silent for a while, posting infrequent, and work has been slowing from the start of 2024. The reason is a pretty simple and a very common one we see in the fandom.
Burnout.
I've been writing to some degree for over a decade, and my Patreon has hit an amazing 7 years of working this as a side job, for which I am incredibly grateful for the audience I've built. Things have always been a little tough. I'm fairly sure I have ADHD, but can't afford to get it properly diagnosed and medicated on top of everything else. That's always caused me to be slow and procrastinate at times. But for the most part I've managed to make consistent habits and a comfortable 20,000 words or so a month.
Having a stroke at the height of a pandemic in the greediest country in the world made things a lot harder. Not going to lie. >^.^;<
While my health has largely recovered after 3 years I still face my fair share of troubles. My right side has permanent nerve damage and my blood pressure has been a fucking nightmare trying to get under control. I'm pretty sure salt is now my biggest enemy, meaning most of my meals have to be home cooked.
Just a long way of saying work has become more of a struggle no matter how I tackle a situation. I've clearly been biting off more than I can chew and the result is constantly feeling like I'm trying to dig up out of a hole. Uncertainty makes me trash a draft two or three times before finding that 'just right' feeling in the narrative. Stress makes me want to run and procrastinate when I know bills won't go away or that people are waiting. Some prompts I left on the shelf so long I no longer feel confident in my ability to provide a quality story. All that fun ADHD symptoms. Stubbornness, ignorance, or both kept me from realizing the spiral I was in until several artists and friends pointed out their struggles, showing me this is not a unique problem. This has been a large reason why I push hard for commissions to be capped at 6000 words. And why it hasn't stopped my mind going off rails sometimes anyway. XD
This isn't to say I'm done doing commissions. I can't. I'm physically incapable of pulling a full time job in labor work again even if I wanted to. Would be nice if I could get some remote work, but I don't like the chances around here. Working for furries has not only been a lot more fun and rewarding, but you guys have been helping me keep my share of rent paid for a good while now. I'm grateful so many people think my work is worth asking for and it's what keeps me motivated.
What I need to do is figure out how I can keep doing what I love without being unfair to others. Going forward for this new year, I think the healthiest option is to lean more towards doing some of my own stuff for a while. Maybe a 70/30 split. For example, the crowdfunded novels I opened last year have gotten a lot of love and I've been stoked for the opportunity to really hammer those out. Patreon and Subscribestar won't stop seeing updates any time soon. OverWARKed is essentially fully funded and I’m only on the second act.
I have a couple of commissions that were paid for in advance that I intend to fulfill as soon as I possibly can. After that it'll be small stuff and various other ideas. The schedule I might try is one or two slots at a time with the intention of getting them done within a week. I have a whole notebook full of prompt ideas that I can also try selling off YCH style and maybe just set themes based on current desires I wanna work on.
Overall I'm not done, things just need to change if I'm ever going to get better at this.
I'm very sorry to those that are affected by this shuttering. I've been dragging my feet too long already and trying to make you wait even longer over 'maybes' doesn't feel like it'll help. This has been a major failing on my part. I can only strive to do better once I finally have a clean slate to work from.

dragoneer did so much for this community and asked for so little. I would not have met the amazing people I did, nor gotten as far as I have with my writing without this site and community.Seeing on bluesky the way he got treated by the US healthcare system in his final days has me in tears. He deserved so much better.
I hope you found peace, you absolute legend.

Going in for emergency dental surgery
Posted a year agoHeyo!
So last Friday I went in for a wisdom tooth evaluation and the results I got back turned out to be FAR worse than I was expecting. For the past several years a cist has been pushing my tooth up into my skull and its getting dangerously close to breaching my nasal passage. So I need to go in for emergency surgery on the 15th, the only day professionals will be around to sedate me properly.
I was hoping for just a normal wisdom tooth removal but this is so far in I'll need 2, maybe even 3, surgeries and a month of recovery to make sure everything heals without a hole in the roof of my mouth. And with my dental insurance only covering two of those surgeries I'm looking at a bill of around $2000. God! America fucking sucks.
I'm lucky I got 95 hours of sick leave at my part time job, so I won't lose health insurance during my recovery period. Now I just hope the pain won't be too intense it'll interfere with my writing. Prey for me. I got a rough two months ahead of me.

Crimson Knight reuploading!
Posted a year agoBy popular demand I have finally gotten off my lazy butt and am re-uploading the old Crimson Knight webcomic to my FA. XD
To keep from flooding FA's front page with nearly 70 pages of dragon goodness I'll be keeping them in scraps for the time being and move them to a gallery folder proper at a later date.

Commissions closed until further notice
Posted a year agoHey all!
I just wanted to drop in real quick to mention I am currently not in a state to accept any new story commissions.
While I have been incredibly productive since MFF, more than I have been in a very long time since my stroke, I am still overwhelmed by owed works, obligations to Patreon rewards, a long waiting list, and a jumble of personal goals my struggles and burn outs have accumulated for the past year or so. Until I can clear out enough of this workload to feel a bit more at ease, I think it best to hang up a giant closed sign for the time being.
I am very sorry for my slow work pace and any disappointment this might bring. There will be a grand posting announcement next time I'm ready to take on jobs from the public. Thank you for everyone that continues to read and support what I do. Happy Macro March!

MMF was great!
Posted 2 years agoI'm back home safe and sound. The con crud hit super hard though. XD;;
The con was a blast though. I won't go into a lengthy play by play. I spent most of the weekend playing phone tag to meet up with anyone and everyone I could. Many of whom I wished we'd had more time to hang around with. I played a fun game of ROOT in which Janus and I screwed each other over.
Thanks to everyone that wanted to meet me, and the few that recognized me from my characters and stories. <3 Visiting the writer panels also gave me the revitalization I was hoping for. You all reminded me that I do this for fun and entertaining you. It's given me a new spark for projects I want to do next year. Hell. Maybe I can even print a few anthology books and try dealing with
Janus.
Though I must say con attendance was a whopping 15,000 people. Just HOLY HELL! I was amazed I could commission two sketches from anyone dealing there. The artist alley line went around the building, and even lines for sponsor priority were something to behold.
The trips to and back were easily the worst part. Like a complete dumbass I forgot my drivers ID at home. Airport security had me for additional screening and thankfully a photo I had taken on my phone was 'good enough' for con staff. I'll be looking into getting a new one soon anyway, since it seems this dumbass country is passing new ID laws in 2025 that'll render my current one useless. What fun.

Posted 2 years agoPhew! So Thursday was a bit rough because this dumbass chocobo FORGOT HIS ID AT HOME! >.>;;
Thankfully, I have a photo on my phone that was good enough for con staff. Bless them for their patience, cause their tone made me feel I was far from the first. XD;; Sorry to be such a bimbo! I'ma be beating myself all weekend.
So yeah! I am here in Chicago and wandering around the con. Shoot me a poke if you wanna hang~

Heading to MFF!
Posted 2 years agoYup. After lots of scrimping and saving Robertge and I are off on a convention adventure. I haven't been able to attend a convention since 2019 because....you know...a certain pandemic followed by a stroke. It's taken forever to crawl out of those medical debts, so I'm excited to indulge in some relaxing vacation time.
I don't have any big plans besides trying to meet up with as many friends as I can, and maybe snagging some sketchbook coms, so if you wanna hang let me know! I'll also be bringing Red Dragon Inn and Munchkin for the game room.

Stupid COVID! Stupid humanity!
Posted 3 years agoBoy! Every time I feel ready to jump into a fresh start life wants to give that sucker punch. Caught covid earlier this month, on my birthday no less, and even though the sickness was fairly mild (had dizziness, shivers and a cough for two weeks) the aftermath still kicking my tailfeathers. It feels like my right side that got damaged from last years stroke has regressed significantly in muscle strength. I get tired out super easily just from doing house chores and its made working at the part time job an extra pain. Luckily my coworkers are very understanding about my limitations, but god its frustrating to feel so weak doing things that were literally no problem three years ago.
We're hoping this is all temporary as I try exercising physical therapy the best I can.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a great year of the bunny so far.

Patreon sub sale and plans for the new year
Posted 3 years agoUpdates and plans for the new year
Hello Beautiful Readers!
Wishing you all a happy holiday and success in whatever passions you pursue. The years keep finding a way to get harder but I’m certainly still happy to be here celebrating with all my friends. <3
Lots of updates I need to go over in this post. The new year is fast approaching and with it the usual contemplation's about how I want to grow and live as a writer. I’d like to start by giving thanks for all the feedback I got when I was asking for suggestions a while back. It really helped me decide on a few concrete ideas.
First some of the good news:
Patreon annual subscription sale
From now until January 1st I’ll have all tiers on my Patreon set at a 16% (the max patreon allows lol) discount for yearly subs. Get the whole of 2023 filled with TF story content for only $10. Supporting me in the other tiers is always appreciated and comes with extra perks, too. :B
After that the usual annual discount will be returned to %10 all year.
Anniversary payment plan is active
I kinda failed to announce this but I did opt into Patreons new anniversary plan. This way no matter when you sub you’ll get a full 30 days to enjoy whatever hijinks ensue.
Attempting a fixed schedule
With both my physical health and writing ability drastically improving these last three months thanks to new blood pressure meds, and with the change to anniversary plans, I feel a desire for more consistency. Rather than dumping everything at the end of a month, I’m hoping to make weekly posts around Tuesday or Wednesday. Sometimes it’ll be a full story or could just be a work in progress, depending on the project and situation. I want to do my best to give you your money's worth.
New crowdfunding story tier
Also coming January 1st; a new tier will be introduced after seeing some of my colleagues using a similar idea. Crowdfunding is essentially a way for me to work on various personal prompt ideas I’ve had over the years without the stress of rent and med bills hindering the process. Meanwhile it gives supporters a say in the kind of content they’d prefer to see. This tier will likely open between $20-$25 and gets 1000 words dedicated to a prompt of your choice every 30 days. I’ll post the selection of prompts when the tier is officially activated.
And now the bad news:
Retiring the $1 tier
I’ve honestly been putting this off for years now because I hate feeling expensive. Unfortunately, it goes without saying this has also been a very bad year. The rising cost of living and need for diabetic meds forces my hands to raise the base entry for content. Not to mention payment platforms like PayPal charge more for small payments just because they want to.
Starting January 1st the $1 is being turned into a legacy tier. Anyone currently subbed to it can remain on it with all current benefits for as long as they desire.
The new cost of entry tier will be $3
While this new base tier still provides about 90% of the content I make, I do apologize for having to do this.
Commission discounts are being adjusted
An almost unanimous feedback I got is the size of my discounts are too much. And once again with the way inflation is going I reluctantly have to agree.
They will now be applied in increments of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%
So in summary the new tier roll out for 2023 will look like this:
$1 - No new subs allowed. Unchanged for anyone currently subbed.
$3 - All basic story content. 2% discount on story commissions.
$5 - 4% story commission discount. Otherwise unchanged
$10 - 6% story discount. Otherwise unchanged
$20 - 8% story discount. Crowdfunding story pledge every 30 days
Future plans
I’m hoping with the help of crowdfunding I can finally work on stuff like personal novel publishing. Things are already in the works for compiling older works into anthology collections. The big problem is finding a storefront to use for it besides Amazon.
I still want to give a shot at some CYOA games sometime in the near future. They’re proving a bit trickier to write for my ADHD mind though, so it’s taking some practice.
I appreciate everyone that’s stuck with me throughout these amazing years. You guys are the best! Hopefully we can all get through 2023, no matter if it's with hands, paws, wings, or some crazy chimera mix. Stay crazy TF lovers! :3
Feedback and comments always welcome!

Looking for new Patreon reward ideas.
Posted 3 years agoHey guys! Been a while since I made a journal.
I'm happy to report my health has seen some great progress during this fall season. My doctor put me under some new blood pressure medications and that's worked a lot towards restoring my energy and focus. October even saw me writing a higher word count than any other month in this past year. With this renewed productivity also brought back my desire to really make Patreon (and writing in general) more my main job than the dumb deli.
So as the title says; I'm trying to think of things I can do to offer more rewards, maybe even more pledge tiers. Stories are a bit harder to sort out than art or even videos. And I'm curious is there anything you guys might be interested in for rewards?
One idea I saw a fellow writer doing that I'd like to try is a crowdfunding tier. I've had tons of ideas for one shots and serial stories collected over the years. Under this tier there would be a small list of prompts that people could pledge 1,000 words towards every month, for somewhere between $20-$30. Be another option to support content you wish to see more of.
A few years back I also tried a 'vote as we go' kind of TF story that was pretty fun. I was working full time back then though, which made it impossible to keep up with. Now that I'm a bit more freed up I wouldn't mind trying again. Might be a good extra value for the $5 or $10 tier.
Those are just ideas I could come up with. I welcome anyone else's thoughts and suggestions.
Once again thank you everyone for the amazing support. I hope this holiday season finds you in good health and turned into a form you enjoy. :3

Life Updates. Progress report.
Posted 3 years agoHey all! Hope you've been doing well as spring slowly (very slowly) pushes out winter and the days become longer. <3
Sorry things got a bit slacking around here. April turned out to be a rough month. Doctors warned I might be more sensitive to weather changes with the post-stroke damage but damn. Washington gets pretty crazy with the constant changes to humidity, air pressure, and allergies. It becomes just enough of a bother that Tylenol won't make it go away, but not completely put me under.
Worse was the thing I knew would happen ever since the mess with trying to move last year. Our building's fallen into the cogs of a corporate management office, which promptly shoved all utilities on us and raised rent on top of it (citing 'expenses' as the cause, no less) so we get to stress out over an additional $400 costs for a while. I'd like to convince my roomies to rent somewhere still relatively cheaper but they're so adamant about owning property, and I doubt that can happen under this housing market after all I tried. Our bathroom fan has been broken through three landlords now and I doubt these robots will do anything about it in a hurry.
Third thing was just plain old writers block. lol. You know when you see an artist doodle something six different ways before finding one they're motivated to finish? The writing process can kind of be the same way. So while I've been writing almost every day, a lot of it has been attempting the same prompts multiple times cause I'm just not happy with my performance on it.
Regardless, I got myself working through the remains of my backlog as quickly as possible. With costs rising all over the place, I'm going to have to start relying on commissions a lot more than in the past to cover everything. And when I do reopen soon it's going to be with a more streamlined system. Taking long wait lists never seems to work out with my ADD, so maybe a more 'on the spot' style will make things faster for everyone. Streaming might even be fun if I can get over my camera shyness.
That's about it for now. Thank you all for continuing to support my endeavors and all the fun TF that goes with it. Hope to have more content up for your enjoyment soon. Love ya!
