BeahriumFurTheMore 2022 Post-Con Update!
Posted 3 years agoBack home from FurMore as of 2am this morning. The con was a BLAST! My boyfriend volunteered to help with spotting for the truck and unloading stuff with logistics on Thursday and got "voluntold" he could be logistics staff. I say voluntold but he agreed to it. I helped unload and move stuff to the staging room as well.
Friday and Saturday were mostly spent making sure people weren't going into the exit of the Dealers Den and keeping an eye on attendees and dealers. Also SHOPPING! I spent more than I probably should have but am super happy with everything I bought. I couldn't resist getting one of the adorable beeble (beetle) keychain plushes and a beeble scarf from Clover Puff's table. I also picked up a neon tiger shirt, a mystery box, a keychain set, a tiger face mask and a new hoodie with ears to go with Aiden. The hoodie is a very close match to Aiden's fur color! I even asked my boyfriend to pick out an artist to draw a badge for me to go with my newest character, Aiden. And it is ADORABLE!
As a first time staffer and being used to super early shifts at my normal work on weekends, I was pretty exhausted on Sunday while guarding the Dealers Den entrance (AKA: checking badges). Shoutout to CRAB especially for checking in on me often each day to make sure I was ok and getting me some caffeine and snacks! I wasn't expecting it to take so much out of me but still had a lot of fun when not on duty and when working. In hindsight I think I probably should've gone to bed a lot earlier but went to watch Rocky Horror on Saturday night. Was able to make it to a couple other panels when not working as well as doing some fursuiting. Made some new friends too!
I hung around with a fellow fursuiter named Malina a lot. If I remember right it was her first con! At the staff dinner I talked with CRAB and some other staffers (sorry I forgot your names. I met so many people I can't keep track xD). Around the time of Dead Dog I chatted with the other newly invited staffer from at the end of 2020's con, Parity Bit.
All in all, I had a great time and look forward to next year and seeing everyone again!
