We're still alive.. well kinda!
Posted 12 years agoSorry we've been inactive a lot lately >.< my hope is to rekindle this account and fill it with chakat related art again! If you have any ideas, let us know!
Frosteyes is getting older, and soon shi is going to want to leave the nest! *cries* Oh hush now. We still have quite a few more years until that happens, I mean, we did just celebrate her 1 year birthday... *sniffles* I know.. but she's growing up so fast! And we're so busy you'll be fine, no worries... we can prolong releasing the book as long as you want... well, maybe I shouldn't say that, it's already been almost 2 years since it was complete.... *glares* still waiting on the art... shush you! I'll get around to it...
Anywho, just good to say hi once in awhile! We've missed you FA!

Oh deer...
Posted 12 years agoSo when I first came here to WV, the first couple mornings there was this doe that was in our yard, munching on our neighbor's weeds... it became such a habit that we decided to name her Clover. After a couple weeks she stopped coming around, we figured she got scared off of shot. This morning, we had a pleasant surprise when we opened our door. Clover had returned, along with 3 baby deer! <3 Well, I guess I know where she has been for the last couple of months XD Sooo adorable, absolutely brightened my day! :3
Anyways, nothing much more to report besides that. We're both doing well, and hopefully we'll be posting more Diamondstripe related arts in the future :3 Keep posted, and thank you so much for reading! :3

catnamedfish, are going to AC this year!!
we didn't know if we were going to be able to make it this year, on account of us moving and starting a new job... But I managed to convince him that we had to go, especially now that we live so close!! :3 er... well, close enough, we'll still be staying in the Wyndham Hotel for Friday and Saturday night.. But we won't be alone! We'll be rooming with
reve this year so we're totally looking forward to that!
Also! Our sexy lifemate,
werewolfss, aka Shir Midsnow, will be selling hir lastest novel, The Cat's Eye Pub, along with its prequel, Bound to Play. Shi and a few other kats will be at a table together, right next to 
goldfur hirself! I can't wait to get my paws on one of those books!! ^_^ *nods* Me neither, but there will be only a limit number of copies, so we'll have to contact werewolfss to make sure we reserve one before, otherwise there might not be enough left... *wink wink hint hint*

Moving On and Away

Do you remember us? The liquid shifting conundrum. We're still around! Well, not around there anymore... but around... Fish, stop beating around the bush. Okay, Okay
We've officially moved to West Virginia! That's right. We're on our own.Away from everyone. We finally have time to relax and be ourselves. No more school. No more homework! WE'RE FREE!
So what does this mean for FA? Well, as far as FA is concerned, this means that we will be able to attend AC EVERY YEAR! We're pretty close to Pittsburgh now, so it'll be easy to be there every year.
Also, this means that I, Vox, will be quite busy with my new job. I can't make any promises on commissions, art, or writing. So I will be around, but don't expect anything from me.
On the other hand, I, Fish, will be on quite often! I'll be doing commissions, comics, and icons galore on my catnamedfish account! Since I'm currently unemployed, commissions will be my main source of income. But no worries, this account will be mostly free of commissions. I'll still keep this the fun and spontaneous CU related madness that it always has been!
Continue to stay in touch to see new chapters of Vox's story, featuring Frosteyes' first adventure.

We are still alive! with some updates!

This is you humble liquid-shifting duo, speaking to from the safe haven of spring break. Just so everyone knows, we are on a last semester at college so our schedule have been pretty swamped with doing tests, projects, and interviews! We apologize for not up loading mass quantities of fun-filled Diamondstripe related art. The truth is, we both don't have a lot of time to draw much of any art, let alone on subjects that we actually enjoy. Hopefully once we graduate, (in some surreal, dream like fantasy future where work doesn't rule over our lives) we can produce as much risque, playful, and overall entertaining forms of arts. The following are some examples of those future productions:
~ Voxian is writing a chakat novel featuring Diamondstripe and Frosteyes on their first adventure. It will be uploaded chapter by chapter, and it can also be bought, for those die-hard fans! We realise that we said it would be done months ago, but give us a few more month so we can get all the hiccups out of it....
~ Said book will full, and I mean FULL, of never before seen art by catnamedfish and voxian
~ Possible (and possible is a very vague, flexible term) there is a comic series coming out in the near future drawn by catnamedfish, the comic is still in its pre-construction stage, so we'll see how this turns out!
I think that's most of it.. Commissions will hopefully be up and running by this summer, after graduation. Diamondstripe may actually open up for commissions.. we're still trying to work out the bugs.
One another note, we;re almost at 10,000 views! holy crap, man! We checked our personal accounts and we ain't even close! You guys are awesome and we couldn't have done this without your support and loyalty! We thank you so much at the bottom of our core! And we hope that you'll continue to watch us (even if we're a bit slow) as we continue to upload more and more art!
I hope to keep you on your toes!And wish us luck!! :3

Hey all, this is catnamedfish side of Diamondstripe, here to bring you another pointless journal to inform you of our conjoined life! We'll start with IFC, Indy Fur Con. Like we mentioned last journal, we stayed in a hotel with

starrysky_chakat, hir IRL mate 
KarmaWolf who is awesome btw!, and a few others i didn't know... in all there was 7 furs in one room X3 Both me and Vox had a blast! I met lots of amazing furs and some pretty talented artists, included the

Hey, this is Fish-side here with a long over due journal. Sorry we haven't been on lately, I got both me and Vox sick with a summer cold.. runny nose, sore throat, head ache, you know, that shit... any ways so we've been sleeping alot lately and not arting as much as we both may like.. but that's life for you..
This Friday, (which by then we'll be feeling better), we're going to Indianapolis for the IFC, Indiana Fur Convention, with railrunner and starrysky_chakat plus some others. Anyway, we wanted to know who else was going to be there, so we could meet! :3 It would be great to meet some people there so just comment down below or send us a note :3
And school.. ugh.. we have one more year of school left and sadly that means we will not be on hardly at all.. School is more important, but that doesn't mean we still don't love every bit of FA and our watchers and friends :3. We'll be sure to post anything we new draw during the year, so be sure to keep watching us!

Difficulties between school and FA :/

Well, as you all have probably noticed that I have not been on very much since last weekend. I've recently gone back to school and the internet there will not allow me to get on the following websites/programs:
*Furaffinity
*deviantart
*MSN
*Twitter (only on certain days)
*and a few more unrelated websites
so mainly all the ones i could keep contact with the outside world. I'm thinking that MSN and Twitter might be on my end but I'm not sure... SOOOoooo if I don't get back to you or seem like I'm avoiding you, I'm not and I apologize in advance. Best way to get a hold of us is probably sending a note here and I can get back to you in time.
As for Vox-side, he is in a very similar predicament, except with a 14 hour time difference. So he will probably not be on for another 3 months.

Some important updates
Posted 14 years agoHey everyone! This is our Fish-half speaking!(cat_named_fish) I'm just here to update our watcher about whats new with us.
First off, I would like to mention that my other half, Vox (voxian) will not be on for the next 15 weeks. He is studying abroad in Japan and is more then likely will be too busy with studies to update this account as much as we would like. He's asked me to take control over Diamondstripe while he's gone, which brings me to the second part:
I also have classes starting up soon and for some strange and unknown reason, deviantART and FurAffinity are both blocked on the campus... Yes, it sucks.. but there are businesses near campus that also has WiFi so I'll be on periodically through out the year, checking up on all my beloved art lovers! So please don't think we've abandoned you... our situations have just became more... complicated... But be sure to come by and say Hi!
On our new Twitter account! :3 I may not be able to get on FA but I can get a Twitter and update that on a [insert time length here] basis! I don't know if it will be regular, since I've never had a Twitter before.. but it should be interesting! :3
This isn't related to the last paragraph but I figured I might as well mention it. I have paypal now! Yay! Which means I can now start taking commissions! *dances happily* Both Vox and I have decided that this account will not be taking commissions until he returns from Japan, buuuuuuut that doesn't mean I can't take commissions... I'm working on my cost sheet currently.. but for now i'm selling these cute little icons (like the one Diamond has currently)

Help! Needs background characters!

We are drawing a picture for werewolfss and we have the sketch done... but we realized that we're going to be needing people in the background... 1 or 2 at the very most...
So here are the requirements:
-Have a decently good reference/picture we can work off of**
-You have to have been to Chakona, or at the very least know of the Chakat Universe
These are things we would like but are not completely neccisary:
-It would be nice if you didn't personally know Chakat Midsnow (werewolfss), you may know who she is, but it would defeat the point if you knew her personally.
-Preferably a Chakat
-If you have little ones, mention them too.

Midsnow (werewolfss) was kind enough to post a group message on Chakat Heaven to help us and we found that her description about the basic requirements fit perfectly:
"Diamondstripe is working on a pic for a scene to a story that has been planned.
Shi needs some background chakaats willing to be in the pic.
The scene is at the Spaceport on Chakona as shi is arriving for the first time.
The part would be background characters but if you would be on Chakona around
the 2352 time and happen to be at the Spaceport for any reason than stop by FA

First Journal and such...

As many of you have already realised from our stories and artwork, our name is Diamondstripe and we are no ordinary chakat. We have never been to Chakona nor have we had much interaction with other chakats outside of stories we have read, so forgive us for our improper grammer at times. :3 We are still learning how to speak properly as one after our merge. lol X3
I suppose that we would like to thank everyone for watching, faving, and commenting on our submissions! it means alot to us and we greatly appreciate it! And no worries, there is still more to come! :3
